Well, today's the day.
The day I marry the wrong man.
While a woman did my make-up, I let myself get lost in my thoughts. I didn't get any sleep last night. I kept thinking about Emmett and wondering if he's coming to get me and our little bug soon. I mean, I can feel it in my bones that he will, but I still don't understand why he didn't let me come back with him when we last saw each other.
Maybe I should marry this jack ass. At least I know where Stefan stood. That's the one thing I tolerate about him. He always told me how he felt and what he was thinking. With Emmett, it's like a guessing game and now it's getting really confusing - and I'm not even around him! I just wished I never took that late night shift...all this wouldn't have happened.
I heard the clanging of make-up brushes hitting the table, which interrupted my thoughts. The woman that did my make-up told me to open my eyes and when I did, her face fell. Yup, I was expecting her reaction to end up like that.
I just sat there as she went back to work. Two minutes later, there was a knock on the door. The woman asked me if it was okay to let people in and I said yes. It's probably just another guard bringing some news or whatever.
I heard the door open and I kept my eyes closed while the make-up lady went back to work. Then, I heard two voices. Two voices that I haven't heard in a long time.
"Oh my god," Someone whispered. " she looks beautiful."
My eyes flew up and I turned my head. There, right behind me, stood Kim and Angela.
Kim was already crying and her baby bump was huge! Angela stared at me like she was going to murder someone.
"See what you left me with? She cries over everything!" Angela wailed.
"I do not!" Kim gasped.
Angela rolled her eyes. "Yes, you do. We drive past a pet shop and you wanted a puppy and you started crying because you 'swore to the almighty heavens' that one of them was calling your name!"
As I listened to them argue, I felt the tears build up. I didn't care that the make-up lady wasn't finished, I stood up and ran over to them, wrapping my arms around both of them. "God, I missed you guys!"
We stood there, holding each other. I pulled away and looked at them. "What are you guys doing here?"
"The guy with the funny accent called. He asked us to come." Angela said.
Kim smiled at me. "He thought you would want some of your friends to come for your big day." She looked at me with sadness in her eyes. "We have a gift for you."
Angela ran to the door and opened it and there stood Jared. Angela shoved Jared into the room. "Move your dumbass now!"
Jared chuckled and stepped in the room. He was holding a box. But right behind him held a better gift.
"Seth!" I squealed. I ran and jumped into my little brother's arms. As he held me, I cried and breathed in his scent. He still smelled the same. I still couldn't believe they're here.
I missed them so much and it made me feel better just seeing them. I thought I would never see them again. I guess the saying's true, you never really know what you got until it's gone.
When I finally pulled away from my brother's arms, I said, "What are you doing here? Is mom and dad here?" I looked behind him, but no one was there.
"No. The guy with the accent called." He explained.
"Same here." Angela said, smiling widely.
Seth shook his head. "He wanted one of your family members to walk you down the aisle."
I looked down at the floor. "I guess that was nice of him."
Then everything just slammed into my brain at once - why I'm here. Now I really wished they weren't here. I don't want them to get hurt. I still don't know if I'm going to be safe after today. I just know that I'm supposed to marry this guy, for my own sake.
Seth put his arm around me. "Hey, if it makes up feel any better, mom and dad wanted to be here but they couldn't."
I looked up at him and smiled. If only he knew what's really going on...
After ten minutes, the make-up lady and the hair stylist were getting impatient. They took me back to the chair. Kim and Angela left, saying that they needed to get good seats before the other guests start to arrive. Jared and Seth went with them.
After my make-up was finally over with, they put my hair up. I told them I wanted it down, but they said this would look better. Afterwards, they helped me get dressed. They then escorted me to a full-length mirror.
This is not what I wanted to look like on my wedding day. I always thought I'd look like a princess, like the ones you read in fairy tales, but I guess in reality, this isn't a fairy tale. I don't get happy endings.
There was another knock on the door. I was half-hoping it was Emmett, but I knew it was a long shit. And unfortunately, it was Vladimir. He was all dressed up in a traditional tux. His hair was combed back.
"You look nice." He said. I knew he didn't mean it. I felt and looked like a clown.
"Well, this is how your brother wanted me to look like. Your people hate me anyway, so who do I want to impress?" I asked.
"No one hates you." He replied, half-heartedly.
"How reassuring. You're a primary example." I retorted, sitting down while the women put shoes on my feet.
"I never said I hated you." He pointed out.
"You don't have to. Your body language says it all."
The women helped me to my feet and started tweaking my dress.
Vladimir stared at me for a long time. His mouth was slightly parted, like he wanted to say something, but he didn't. We walked to the car that waited to take me to the church.
The car might as well been a hearse. I know it sounds like I'm overreacting, but this shouldn't have happened in the first place. I mean, I thought this would be me and Emmett's wedding, but after everything that happened, I don't know where he and I stand anymore. I think a small part of me has started hating him for making me do this.
We stopped in front of the church a few minutes later. Vladimir helped me out of the car and the first thing I see was the church. I felt my stomach tie in knots. It was either that, or my little bug was moving again. Vladimir took me inside the church and into a small room to wait in while they prepared the church. I sat in a chair, staring up at the clock. It was nearing the time - my time of death - but nothing has happened yet. Is Emmett really not going to save me yet? He's really pushing his limits here.
I opened my eyes as a knock on the door interrupted my thoughts. I looked over and saw Seth.
"Hey, is it time yet?" I asked, hopeful.
Seth half-grinned. "In a bit. I wanted to see you before anything happens." Seth walked over and sat in the chair placed next to me. "Bella, are you sure about this?"
Hell no! I wanted to tell him so badly what's going on, but I needed to stick with the plan.
"Yes, I'm sure." I said, firmly.
He studied me for a moment. "If you're sure...then let's get a move on. Bella, if you want to run, we can. I have a car. We could go right now."
I wanted to take him up on his offer, but I needed to have faith in Emmett. I took his hand and smiled, about to decline when we heard gun shots fire.
"What the hell was that?!" I shrieked, my voice shaking.
"Shit! It's not time yet!" Seth sneered to himself. Seth reached into the back of his pants and pulled out a gun.
My eyes widened. "Why the hell do you have a gun?!"
He opened his mouth but Jared burst through the doors, a gun in his hand. "Man, we need to get her out of here now!"
"What the fuck happened? This isn't the plan!" Seth shouted.
I felt like my head was spinning. "What the fuck is going on?"
"Bella, we will tell you everything later but we need to get you somewhere safe first." Seth said quickly, loading his gun. What the fuck?! Why do both of them have a gun? Is this Emmett's plan? To get my brother and my best guy friend into this?
"Bella, come on!" Seth yelled, taking my hand.
We booked it out of the room and ran down the hall. We were close to the exit and I could practically taste freedom.
But just then, Vladimir stepped in front of us and my heart stopped. He held a gun up and pointed it directly at Seth. Oh my god, this is not happening...is it? This can't be happening!
Then, he opened the exit door.
"Go! Get her out of here!" Vladimir ordered. He lowered the gun. "Sorry about the scare, I didn't know if you guys got to her yet."
Vladimir took my other hand and we flew out of the hall. They practically dragged me to the car and put me in it.
"Where are you taking me?!" I squeaked, shaking.
Seth smiled at me, laying a comforting hand on my shoulder.
"To Emmett's other house. You and your baby are safe now, Bells." He whispered, closing the car door.
Vladimir followed Seth but not before he looked over his shoulder and grinned at me.
Hi guys I hope you like it. leave me know what you think.
