He couldn't tell anyone. He decided it was too risky letting anyone know his secrets. So what did he do? He slept first and foremost, well kind of. It was more of a lay down and reflect back on his new knowledge. This continued until morning time, where he was "awoken" by the caretaker.
"Wake up, you cursed child."
Izuku laid there and stayed silent, not even acknowledging the caretaker.
"I SAID WAKE UP, DEMON BRAT." She exclaimed as she started hitting the 11 year old to awaken.
Izuku winced in pain at the brutal beating the caretaker gave. He shot up to stop her from hitting him, but she continued nonetheless.
"YOU SHOULD BE GRATEFUL FOR ALL THE WORK I DO TO TAKE CARE OF YOU," she hollered at Izuku knowing he couldn't talk back to her. She muttered to herself, "Of course I have to take care of the kid who killed his parents twice."
"I'm sorry, I should have listened," Izuku said meekly.
"Whatever. Get ready and get to school. I want you out of this place by 10."
Needless to say, Izuku got ready quickly. He finished getting ready and was out the door in 7 minutes.
He was excited to leave for school, any place was better than what he now called "home".
As he walked, he pondered the thoughts harboring in his mind. What would he do, now that he knew just how evil his quirk was. What to do, what to do. He wondered until he made his way to school. There it was, Hoshinoumi Junior High. He walked in as quiet as ever, no one noticed him. He sat at his desk in the corner, where he let loose. Soon enough, the school bell rang.
"Hello class" the teacher greeted. " Today we have a brand new transfer student, give a warm welcome to Yui Kodai.
Yui walked in and simply waved.
"Why don't you give us a short introduction of yourself?"
"My name is Yui Kodai," she simply stated and looked at the teacher for directions toward her seat. The students snickered and joked about how she was Midoriya, but a girl.
"If that's all, your seat will be next to Midoriya."
Izuku looked over as he saw a black haired girl walk over next to him. He didn't know who she was, or why she was here. He supposed he should be paying attention to the teacher.
Izuku tried to pay attention during the lessons the teachers gave him, but he kept on thinking about his quirk. "I'm a menace to everybody. I can't learn anybody's name anymore. I'm cursed. I'M CURSED." In his inner turmoil he didn't realize he was muttering his words ever so quietly.
"Ozawa! Answer this question!" His teacher yelled, snapping him out of his thoughts. He stared at the board for a solid second before answering.
"Correct, however please pay attention next time."
He nodded back in response and tried to pay attention for the rest of class.
Soon class ended and it was time for lunch. He went to his favorite spot, the roof. No one went there as it was considered off limits, so it was nice and quiet for him.
He was unpacking the bread he dashed off with earlier when suddenly he heard a door creak slightly. It was the same girl he sat next to. He wondered why she was here. Was it to mock him for being quiet or for her to try to connect with him seeing as they sat next to each other in class. Either way, he knew he had to leave soon to maintain his quietness.
What he didn't expect was for her to close the door behind her, and head the direction opposite of him. Whether it was pure luck or on purpose, he wasn't going to question it and stayed in his original spot.
He laid down and thought about his future, what he was going to do. There was his dream of being a hero, but now his own consciousness would not allow him to be one. He was stuck in thought, so much so that he missed the sound of the bells ringing, calling the students back from their lunch break.
He was broken out of his trance when he felt a small tap on his shoulder, followed by the word "bell." He looked up and saw the same girl from earlier.
"Thanks." He didn't want to say much, still thinking about what he was to do, but it seemed that the girl appreciated the silence as well.
As he headed back to class, he considered asking her what her name was, before he remembered his solemn oath to never learn anyone's name again. And if he did, he would never talk to them again.
Class time eventually ended and Izuku started his walk back home. As he was walking, he noticed something. There was a fight breaking out among his classmates.
Though it wasn't much of a fight. They were bullies picking on their next prey
He was glad it wasn't him if he was to be honest with himself. He was going to walk away, but he found himself walking to the scene. He wanted to know what was happening.
He saw the new girl. Her arms covered in bruises, just frowning towards the ground. No emotions escaping her face, almost like she experienced this so many times that she didn't even care anymore.
The other kids didn't even acknowledge his presence, and continued mocking the girl.
"You silent freak!"
"Go back to where you came from."
"No one likes a mute."
He didn't like it. Not one bit. He wanted to just take her and run, but he was far too unfit for that. He had to do something, but he didn't know what to do.
Should he call a teacher? Should he run away? Should he step in and use himself to protect her?
Then he got an idea. He stood up straight and talked.
"Hanzo Tanaka, Shoko Ito, Hinata Katou, Reiji Yuki." He listed their names slowly as they turned to look at him. "Do you know what my quirk is?"
Hanzo scoffed and said,"Nah, but it's probably some weak shit if you don't ever use it. You want a beating as well, little Midoriya?"
The other kids menacingly looked at Izuku, before he spoke again.
"Anyone whose name I write down on paper shall die. Do you really want to test me? Sure you can hit me all you want, but if you don't kill me, then I can kill you."
That scared them off as they ran away from Izuku.
He knew his quiet school life was over, and was probably going to be suspended, or even worse, expelled from school.
He redirected his attention to the girl, who looked both shaken up but also emotionless.
"Be careful, it's not that safe here. Not this school, not this world, nowhere is safe. If you ever need help, let me know. Just leave me a note at this spot if anyone ever bothers you."
He started walking away, with his head down as he thought about what he was going to do now.
As he was walking away, a voice left unheard, a "thank you'' was said. Yui Kodai looked forward to the boy who saved her. She would never forget his words, while she was helplessly lying there.
