Chapter 1: The Colors

The sun was high in the clear sky as birds flew overhead and their chirps echoed throughout the forest. Lions, bears, tigers, gorillas and elephants of all species populated the huge island located in what is considered the "weakest sea" among all the Blues. Some fish were also present in the waves that came and went against the shore of the island, but there was a big difference between the animals present on the island and the marine ones.

Going deeper into the extensive, verdant flora pulsing with life and fruit, one can see the bulk of the hills and mountains that surrounded this beautiful, albeit dangerous passage. The sound of an impact powerful enough to knock dozens of trees away from their roots and knock them out of the landscape is heard and a huge figure flies into the air, colliding with three trees. Abruptly it stops moving, and with it interrupting the destruction it would cause, if it had the chance to remain in an uncontrolled flight.

Through the shadows something moves quickly towards the figure. A lion with light brown fur and orange mane appears. It lets out a growl, clearly showing the gigantic fangs covered in a vibrant red liquid. His opponent, an elephant the color of the sea, grunts reluctantly as he watches his executioner approach slowly and with a smile that could be perceived as malicious.

The lion continued to approach and finally came close to the elephant that was still completely unprotected and scattered in the leaves that covered part of that forest. Staring his prey in the eyes as if he was looking for something calmly until he found the small spark of something that made an even bigger smile appear in his gaping mouth and ready to devour that pathetic animal. Yes, now he could definitely enjoy a good meal. After all, the weakling was trembling with fear.

Unfortunately it looked like today he wouldn't have the meal he'd been devoting most of his day. First he had to crush that snake and then he was forced to run bravely from a scorpion who decided that he, the king, should be subjected to a deeper examination and the object used would be the bolt that covered that insect's ass. Insignificant.

Suddenly a golden-white wave spreads continuously in a dome shape, reaching the two animals that were facing each other and half a dozen that were curious to enjoy the battle that had lasted for days and caused countless casualties for many.

The ground gave way slightly and trees within a radius of 10 meters imploded in themselves as the splinters mixed with the wind that swept through the place. The lion that was just getting ready to devour its enemy was no longer in the same position and now occupied a crater beside it while their eyes rolled back into unconsciousness. The same happened with the various animals in the vicinity. All had the same end. Amazingly all of them, despite their race and species, had one thing in common: their enormous size.

Kyodaina Sonzai this is the name of the Island on which such events are taking place. Located in the East Blue, this sea of forests and trees of the most varied types and sizes is home to a surprising number of thousands of animals from the cliffs on the shores to the deep caves scattered and hidden in the most robust mountains. It's a deceptively inviting island, yet it's home to gigantic, tough beasts according to its race and species. A veritable sea of powers with an enhanced instinct awaits the most adventurous who take the risk to discover all the secrets that inhabit this green treasure. From mere civilians and boatmen to the most adventurous pirates and rigorous sailors. It is common to find in the language of those who have knowledge of the existence of this island the name 'Island of Giant Beings', as that is how historians have named it. However, many do not believe in the existence of the island and even less in the beings that inhabit it.

There are millions of islands spread across the globe. Some are easily accessible, but there are others that are mandatory to meet pre-established requirements for proper recognition. Kyodaina Sonzai Island is one of many that requires compliance. In this case, the will, presence and spirit.

Returning to the center of events and looking at the elephant's back it is possible to see silky white threads being caressed by the wind and the silence that now covered that part of the forest embraced by the whispers of orange leaves. Suddenly birds fall from the sky and crash to the forest floor, sharing the same unconsciousness shown by whitish sclera and lack of movement.

Amidst all the immobility, the white hairs keep moving on the back of the giant unconscious mammal. The movement was expressively slow as it moved to the upper body of the defeated animal and stayed there. It was now easily noticeable that the silky cover of spiked white threads ran long to cover an orange cape. Also discernible was the presence of a being, but this one was like an ant compared to the giant unconscious animals around it and deeper into the verdant forest.

The sound started out low, bubbly but soft and became thunderously alive. It was the sound of loud laughter. And it looked like it came from the one wearing the orange cape, for his shoulders were shaking. It was a good laugh.

"Who is the king now?" – The laugh continued for a while longer and a hand was seen being used to push back the bangs covering his left eye, although both were closed, but his smile was gigantic and it looked like it was close to ripping his face in two. - "It's easy to say you're the king when you cower before the shadows and darkness that echo through the forest at nightfall." – He then shakes his head from side to side in amusement and lets out a crooked smile observing the position of the downed lion for a few more seconds, but then lets out a sigh. – "What's the use of killing and winning if not to win?" – The voice starts softly, but ends in a gravely silent tone.

The orange cape shivers gently in the wind and an arm is clearly seen sticking out of it and a clenched fist faces the sun and heavens. – "Go ahead. Do not give up." – The voice starts as the sunlight dominates your position. – "Don't doubt yourself! That makes strength!" – Its tone starts to get louder as visible changes occur in the surrounding landscape as trees are damaged. – "I won't have a shameful defeat in my name or I'm not Ōtsutsuki D. Naruto!" – He shouted into the air, opening his eyelids closed until then and another fist was raised to accompany the one who was already in the same position. A golden-white wave leaves its presence and shocks the atmosphere imploding more trees.

He is a 10 year old boy with an impressive height of 5' 3''. He has an angular, fat-free face covered by three lines on each cheek, nearly invisible they are so opaque they can only be seen on close inspection. His silky white hair with some seemingly soft blonde tips runs in a cascading waterfall from the top of his head to the low line of his waist giving a regal appearance to his shape. Eyes blue and as crystalline as the color of the sea of endless depth and intensity continue to gaze calmly at the skies. His robes consist of a simple orange cape and black pants that reach to his ankles.

Strong winds blow his strong form, though not bulky but remarkably compact for a boy his age, supports it in two breaths. The same cannot be said for the immobile trees and animals around you.

Naruto took a leap from the elephant hovering in the sky and watched as he and the lion were easily carried by the storm of winds to crash into the depths of the various mountains surrounding the island at a hundred feet or more in mere seconds.

"Hmm." - I thought while my mind worked at incomparable speeds trying to understand the feat until reaching a conclusion when I saw a figure out of the corner of my eyes and a corner smile appeared on my lips. I dodged another powerful blast by landing my bare feet in this part of the forest now decimated by the combined efforts of the beings.

I closed my eyes and calmly positioned both my arms behind my back waiting for another opponent to arrive. I tried to feel it for a while to find out its position, but it was a futile act on my part, as whoever it was had already disappeared shortly after firing the second gust of wind. I sighed still with my eyes closed and then decided to go back to doing what I was doing before being rudely interrupted by the frequent fights of the beings that inhabit this island day after day.

"I still don't know what's going on with my body and my mind." – I started talking to myself while remaining in the same position and the sunlight still strong in my position. – "I still don't understand completely, but I feel that every second I spend under the effect of the sun I get a little stronger, faster and my senses are sharpened, evolving more and more. Not to mention my ability to clearly analyze the intervals and acts in a short period of time." – I decided to open my right eye slightly to face everything around me. – "It's easier and easier to see great distances and I don't find it difficult to explore in the dark." - I continued rambling calmly and trying to understand what could be the reason for that.

I then lifted two fingers of my right hand to hold my chin and entered a contemplative pose to continue analyzing deeply. - "What's happening to me? I hardly feel pain and I no longer feel like actively looking for food." – I wondered. – "Actually I haven't eaten since…" – And then like a cannon a light flashed in my mind in a matter of milliseconds.

Flashback - Days ago

I ran madly trying to outwit the giant three-headed snake that had been chasing me since the beginning of the week. I had already gone for days without eating, sleeping or resting. I had to run and not even hiding was enough to escape the abilities that this snake apparently had to find me.

I looked back thinking I had done enough and tried to relax even for 5 minutes to catch my breath and look for at least a cave or some other subterfuge.

My ears picked up a weird sound and I looked towards a specific tree. I was intrigued by what I saw, as there was something there that I had never seen in the crazy forest. It was a fruit, but it was a strange fruit. When I realized I already had the fruit in my hands. The last thing I can remember from that night are five colors: white, gold, blue, red and yellow.

Flashback - Closed

"So that's what happened." - I thought now opening my two eyes turning the hand that was on my chin to rest with the other arm on my back. - "Hmm." – I looked at the sun and couldn't help the smile that started to spread across my face at my next words. – "I ate a Devil Fruit. Which will be?"
