A short idea I had
Mortal AU
Percy's POV
Percy Jackson entered the classroom. You see, he is in third grade. Heck, he was lucky to even get this far.
The only reason he made it this far was his friend, Annabeth Chase. A nerdish girl but a sweet girl nevertheless. Well...if calling Percy 'Seaweed Brain' is sweet, then a whale could walk on land.
"Welcome, Perseus Jackson. That is an interesting name, mind telling how you got it?" Mrs. Mitchell asked softly, looking towards Percy.
Percy opened his mouth, preparing to make a remarkable comment, "I go by Percy."
Mrs. Mitchell nodded, smiling. "A very nice name. Please go sit beside Nicholas di Angelo." She pointed to an olive skinned boy who stared intently in his laps seemingly shuffling something in his hands. But once his name was called, he looked up and frowned.
"It's Nico, Mrs. Mitchell." Nico corrected intensely, sometimes the teacher could be annoying.
"Sorry, Nico. Perseus, would you go sit beside Nicholas?" The teacher completely ignored the flash of annoyance on both Percy's and Nico's faces.
"Yes ma'am." Came Percy's reply, walking over and plopping his belongings right beside the olive skinned boy. In front of him however was a girl whom turned around. They looked eerily similar, olive skinned and black hair.
"Hey, I'm Nico. That's my sister, Bianca." Nico greeted, still shuffling with his hands.
However, Percy ignored him and stared at Bianca before blurting out, "You're pretty."
Bianca's face scrunched up in confusion, completely ignoring the comment, "What's pretty?"
Percy almost facepalmed at his embarrassing situation but before he could, he stupidly answered, "I have no idea."
"Why do you use words you don't know?"
"I don't know."
"What?"
"I don't-What?"
Bianca frowned, still staring at Percy with a new light before she started to guess what 'pretty' meant. "Is Pretty better than Beautiful?" She questioned, tilting her head slightly in deep thought.
"I have no idea." Percy answered, slightly blushing now.
"You are a weird person." Bianca announces back.
"I know."
