Deep within the mountains of Anima City, there was a thin, skyscraper-like building with eight floors. The building was the home and base of an organization called the House of Evolution. The organization was founded by a man named Dr. I. Genus. Genus was a brilliant scientist, who was over a hundred years old, but he had a youthful appearance thanks to some genetic experiments he conducted on himself, when he was in his 70s. He had sharp features with blue eyes and black hair parted on the right. Genus wore rectangular glasses, a black dress shirt with a red tie, black slacks, and dress shoes.

Genus had a interesting way at looking at the world and he had a special life long goal, he wanted to achieve. From an early age, Dr. Genus doubted the claim that the human race had unlimited potential; he considered the people around him to be primitive and found it painful to live among them. At age fifteen, he resolved to make humanity evolve further and create a world suitable for him. Over the next few years, he used his intelligence to make various contributions to the world. However, despite all the praise he received for his intellect, no one would approve of his ideas to artificially evolve human beings through man-made mutations. He thus decided to carry out his plans by himself. Genus created clones of himself to assist with his experimentation on animals, then switched his attention to beastmen, who he saw as creatures closer to evolutionary perfection.

Genus saw Anima City as a giant Petri dish for beastmen DNA. He had already collected quit a large sum of DNA samples over the past few years to help his work and research. Genus in front of some computer monitors displaying some unique beastmen in Anima City. Two screens displayed a couple of beastmen females in their teens named Michiru Kagemori and Nazuna Hiwatashi. The two had originally been human, but due to an accidental blood transfusion of beastman blood they both gained the power to shapeshift into any animal they could think of. Another screen showed a wolf beastmen named Shirou Ogami, who was a thousand years old and said to be immortal. Genus desired all three of the these beastmen for his research, but he wanted to put them through a few test against some of his experiments to see how they handled themselves. If the test were a success Genus's dream of evolutionary perfection would be one gigantic step closer.

To be continued.
