(AN) Hello, and welcome to the finale chapter of Outbreak; I hope you all enjoy.

Disclaimer: I don't own NCIS; all characters and locations are owned by CBS and Belisarius Productions.

Chapter Seven

Case Closed

After two members of S.W.A.T. handcuffed Jackson and dragged him away, several other S.W.A.T. officers went to the ICU ward and led most of the now free hostages to safety. The doctors soon took back control of the ward and allowed the CSU team to process the bathroom for any evidence that would put Jackson away for a long time.

Delilah was loaded on to a stretcher and taken for tests; Tim stayed by her side, squeezing the brunette's hand gently.

"Agent McGee, we need you to leave so that we can perform a rape-kit on your wife." explained a female doctor.

"O-okay." stuttered Tim nervously, not wanting to leave his wife.

Delilah gave her husband a reassuring smile. "Tim, I'll be fine," she assured him, "Go be with the kids, they'll need you."

McGee silently cursed himself for almost forgetting about the twins. Turning around, Tim rushed back into the ward, where he saw his precious children sitting against a nearby wall with Victoria, Emma and Bishop.

"Daddy!" cried Johnny and Morgan as they stood up and ran towards their dad.

McGee knelt down and wrapped his arms around the twins in a comforting manner while they whimpered and trembled.

"Shh, shhh, it's okay, kids, Daddy's here." assured McGee in a comforting manner.

"Is Mommy going to be okay?" asked Morgan.

"Don't worry, your mommy's going to be just fine." stated McGee, trying to sound more confident than he actually was.

The doors to the ICU ward burst open. Jimmy and Kevin came rushing in. McGee stood up and watched as the two ran over to Victoria and Emma and comforted them. After a few minutes, Jimmy walked over to McGee, Victoria in his arms.

"Gibbs told me about what happened," said Palmer in a panicky voice, "Where are Breena and the others."

"Delilah and Audrey are having rape-kits performed on them, and Audrey is having her injuries seen to," answered McGee, "Breena is also having her injuries seen to. I can't believe this happened."

"Me neither," said the medical examiner, "Listen, can you watch Victoria for a while? I'm going to check on Breena, then deal with the body of one of Jackson's men."

"Sure." said McGee.

The agent then took Victoria into his arms and placed her on the floor.

Thankfully, Delilah, Breena and Audrey hadn't suffered any internal injuries, but they were quite shaken by the experience and began to see a therapist; which in Kasie's case was Jack Sloane. Kasie later got a new pair of glasses.

A few nights later, the outbreak had pretty much ended, and the team were in the bullpen talking to Torres over Zoom, who was still recovering from the mumps. He was propped up in bed and still had swollen cheeks.

"I can't believe Jackson was willing to go that far." cried Torres in shock, "Sorry I wasn't there to help."

"It's not your fault, Agent Torres," stated Vance, "You just focus on getting better."

"And thankfully it looks like Jackson is going to get life behind bars," informed Gibbs, "Didn't even ask for a lawyer."

"I'm surprised Kevin didn't kill him." said Torres in a surprised tone.

"He said that he really wanted to, but he was afraid of going to jail." explained Kasie.

"Jackson is hopefully going to stay in jail though." remarked Sloane.

"Good, he deserves it, the bastarda," snarled Nick, "So, McGee, how are Delilah and the kids?"

"They're a bit shaken, but they'll recover," answered McGee, "This is all my fault. I should have been there, I could've stopped him."

"Don't go beating yourself up over this," said Gibbs firmly, "There was nothing you could've done, even if you were there."

"Gibbs is right," replied Vance, "Let's just be thankful this situation didn't end in tragedy."

"And there's even more good news," said Bishop, "Fight back Against the Vax has been disbanded, the site has been shut down and Jennifer Richardson's kids are going to be okay."

The team then continued to talk, feeling thankful that justice had prevailed.

(AN) And that is the end of this rewrite of Outbreak, hope you all enjoyed.

For those interested, I did an NCIS: Los Angeles spin-off to the old Outbreak last year, but it's still canon to the new one and is still up; it's called Undercover Couple. I also plan to do an NCIS: New Orleans spin-off to this story at some point.

The next NCIS story will be a sequel to Self-Defence that will feature McGee, Delilah and Gibbs.

Until then, this is TimeLordMaster108 signing out.
