CHAPT 7 - HEY! YOUR THE GUY FROM TV RIGHT?

Hey guysssss I hate Covid.

Yeah.

That's all.

Bruce Banner POV

I could tell I was pale. I felt pale. Everyone was looking at each other cautiously. I turned my attention back to the screen. "Now we just need to wait for the blood test results." Was all I said before walking out.

Tony followed behind. "That will take a few hours." I nodded and continued walking off to the lab.

He'd been poisoned how many times? I paled even more at the thought. He looked so sheepish, like he'd been caught in the act of cookie theft.

Tony and I arrived at the lab to continue working on a project. We weren't sure which one or if we'd start a new one altogether, we just needed to clear our heads. But we couldn't. Because Nat and Clint were there. "How did you beat us here?" Tony asked, startled.

"No matter how many inventions you create Tony." Clint smirked, "You will never come close to something so amazing as the vents."

"Among Us thinks so too." Tony sighed. "Well, the imposters at least."

"We're not here to talk about childish games." Natasha sighed.

"Uhum, Among Us is not a 'Childish game' Nat." Clint reasoned.

"I don't care." She smirked. "Besides, I still remain champion."

"Hey!"

"Percy was poisoned multiple times." She cut in dulling the mood. "No ordinary kid just stumbles on poisons like that."

"So," Steve interrupted walking in. "What are we thinking? HYDRA? their cold hearted enough to take kids at such a young age."

"Maybe." Tony murmured. "But the files says he has a mother. HYDRA would take orphans don't you think?"

"What if the mother is a HYDRA agent? Or if she's even the mother in general." Clint suggested.

"What? like the movie Salt?" Tony snorted.

"It could be true." He reasoned.

"Well, the DNA that comes with the blood test will tell us." Nat put in. "What else?"

I frowned. "I wonder if this will benefit Percy as well." Everyone turned to me. "Well, he doesn't know who his father is. The DNA test might tell him."

We all nodded.

Loki Laufeyson POV

I opened the door to Perseus' room to find him in the middle of a conversation with a red headed girl in paint splattered clothes. Though he must have been using some kind of magic because she seemed to be shown through some mist.

"How long do I have to stand here?" He complained making me raise a brow.

"Until I can get the right colour." The red-headed girl replied. Perseus sighed in resignation.

"So, what's happening over in camp?" He asked, tapping his foot.

I heard the red-headed girl sigh before she turned to look at the mist. "It's doing okay, Annabeth is there to continue and Clarisse is helping like you asked after the Titan war ..."

"What is it?" Perseus asked and I stepped closer, more intrigued.

"Piper and Jason ... well, Piper ended it."

There was a lot of silence and I stared at Perseus amused as he continued to blink. Then finally, "What? They- what? How? When? WHY? Rachel they just? but-"

"I don't know Perce. I mean, Jason's really bummed and I don't think anyone should go near him. He gets angry at the slightest thing." 'Rachel' sighed.

I frowned, Rachel. My eyes widened, the oracle of Delphi, Rachel Elizabeth Dare, an amazing artist. Jason and Piper would be Jason Grace, son of Jupiter and Piper Mclean, daughter of Aphrodite, two of the seven half bloods that stopped the Earth herself from destroying the gods.

"And Piper?" Perseus asked cautiously.

A shrug. "She was a little sad. I mean, mostly because of Jason's reaction, but then Katie told her not to worry about him. Y'know, I mean, he'll get over it. So she left camp like a week ago to go back to her dad for a bit, and when she was leaving." She smiled. "She seemed like a weight had been lifted from her shoulders y'know?"

Perseus nodded and smiled slightly. "Good for her. If that's what she feels like then it was the right decision on her part. But ... Jason's really that bad?" A nod. "Now I feel guilty that I'm not there for him."

"Honestly? If you want my opinion, I think your better not at camp. Annabeth's there and it'd just be like rubbing your relationship in his face."

He cringed. "I didn't think of it like that. I guess it's best for me to stay out of this one. Sometimes people need to heal on their own."

"Ha! Done!" She turned the canvas over to reveal a beautiful lifelike painting of the seas. Perseus smiled.

"That looks great Red. Like always." At that moment he turned to see me and smiled. "Hey Lokes. I want you to meet my friend Rachel."

I walked over and looked at the girl through the mist. "Rachel Elizabeth Dare. The current Oracle of Delphi, speaker of the prophecy of the seven and an extraordinary artist." She blinked.

"Hey."

I smiled, amused. "I am Loki Laufeyson."

She blinked again. "Loki? As in New York Loki?" My smile left me as I remembered. I had been so content with Perseus not knowing that I completely forgot that others knew. And hated me for it.

"New York Loki?" Perseus asked. Looking between Rachel and me.

"I beg your pardon? I don't know what your talking about?" I cursed myself silently. My silvertongue never worked when I was panicked. Besides, she has the Oracle of Delphi inside her, she will see right through me.

"No. It's definitely you. I saw you on TV before the Avengers took you down." Why did I have to come up here. I'm going to lose the only being in the nine realms still alive that would actually listen to me.

I tried to hide a cringe when I looked to Perseus. He looked so hurt, like he was reliving something. Luke. He was reliving Luke's betrayal. My stomach dropped. "Perseus I-"

"You what?" His face hardened, eyes as raging as the hurricanes his father creates.

I looked away. I couldn't tell him yet. I had pushed it down for so long I couldn't bring myself to tell anyone anymore. I hadn't told a soul. Not even mother. I mean, I was branded the god of lies. I wasn't sure how far mother had trusted me but I didn't want to know the limit.

So i didn't say anything.

I needed time for it to come back to the surface. Needed time to relive the horrors of the Void, the Chitauri, of Thanos. I realised I had stayed silent. Perseus swiped through the mist and then walked off, not looking behind him.

Tony Stark POV

It had been two days since the examination and the results finally came out. What we didn't expect though, was a troubled looking Helen delivering the blood results herself.

"I scanned these over three times to see if there was something wrong with my tech..." She passed the files around to Bruce who's eyes widened and creased in confusion and shock. He then passed it to me.

It was weird.

His blood had salt in it. I mean literal salt running through his veins. I had to read it a few times to make sure I was looking at it right. "Umm. Last time I checked, salty blood wasn't healthy."

"That's not the worst part." Cho said. "Keep reading."

My eyes almost popped out of my head when I saw the DNA test results. "He doesn't have the other half of his DNA." I whispered. Several shouts arose from the group.

"He shouldn't be alive." Nat gasped.

"So he doesn't have a father then?" Steve asked.

"It looks like it. But how is he alive?" Bruce mused.

"He could be one of HYDRA's creations like Steve thought. With Sally Jackson's DNA." Clint suggested.

Helen shook her head. "No, I'm the only one who has the technology to make something like that. There is no way HYDRA has it. Besides, the test says he's fully organic. Not a single bit of AI in him." Everyone was silent.

"We better get this to Fury." Clint said finally. "Nat and I'll go." We nodded as they took the files and disappeared down the elevator.

The throne room was in an uproar trying to work out what to do with the news.

"We need to destroy the blood test!" Artemis exclaimed.

"I agree." Athena yelled.

Apollo sat their frowning. "We can't." he said quietly. All heads turned to him instantly. He looked up, "Remember? We can't interfere." Everyone blinked and Apollo sighed. "I didn't expect your memory to be as great as Mnemosyne's but seriously?" Hermes just shrugged.

"So we just sit here and let one of the most paranoid government agencies find out about us?!" Zeus shouted.

Hades looked at him pointedly. "Your paranoid Brother. I don't think you have the right to call someone else paranoid."

"There's not much we can do." Athena sighed.

"Besides, they won't necessarily find out about us." Hephaestus added. "They will find an error in Percy's code."

Apollo sighed. "Percy has an organic body, Hephaestus. He is not a robot."

Hephaestus rolled his eyes. "You know what I mean."

Poseidon frowned. "We just let my son get experimented on, is that it?"

"Stop overreacting Poseidon." Athena rubbed her head. "It may not come to that."

"May? May!?"

"Not! May not!" She shouted back.

"Oh look. It's a Percy." Hermes pointed out, getting everyone's attention.

"What's he doing?" Aphrodite asked.

"I'm IMing Rachel." The demigod replied. "And also trying hard not to listen to your conversation about being experimented on." He frowned. "Which is why I'm gonna talk to Red. I can get her to talk about her paintings. Take my mind off things"

"Sorry son. We didn't know you were listening."

"You were practically shouting at me. I fell off my bed it scared me so much. I mean, you obviously did turn the link between us off, which is how I made it to my floor and bedroom without getting shouted at. But then someone must have accidently turned it back on ..." He explained.

"Oh."

Percy then went to the bathroom where he turned the tap on, and angled the spray just right in the sunlight, creating a rainbow in his bedroom. He tossed a dracma in. "Hey Fleecy, do me a solid, show me Rachel Dare at Camp Half blood."

"That's not Iris' number." Hermes frowned.

"Iris doesn't run the messaging. She gets a cloud nymph called Fleecy to do it. She gave me her private number." He explained.

"Huh, maybe I should hire a cloud nymph." He mused.

"Oh hey Perce! I actually needed your eye colour for this." The oracle smiled. "I'm painting the ocean with the sun shining over it."

"The sun." Percy raised an eyebrow.

She gave him a flat stare. "No Apollo didn't ask to be in it. The sun creates light."

"Okay okay, what do you need me to do?"

"Just stand there and don't blink ... okay blink but not often." She then raised a paintbrush in the air with green, blue and white paint on her pallette. "Perfect." and with that, she started to blend the colours, trying to match them with his eyes.

The two of them talked for a while until Percy got impatient. "How long do I have to stand here?" He complained.

"Hey look it's Loki." Hermes grinned. "Actually, I was thinking Apollo, wanna organise something with Loki and Perce. Aaaand my sons, Connor and Travis? It would be the ultimate prank!" He was grinning ear to ear and bouncing up and down with excitement.

"Oh my gods yes! That would be so cool! We could exchange notes with Loki! And then go around causing Chaos!" They high fived while Martha just sighed.

"Oh no." Hestia's smile dropped.

"What?" Apollo asked, confused.

"Rachel is accidentally telling Percy about Loki" She explained.

He whipped his head to the screen, but it was too late Percy and swiped through the Iris Message and walked out leaving Loki to sit down. He looked devastated. That was the only glimpse they got before they had to follow Percy through the hallways.

"No." Apollo shook his head and contacted Rachel, making a separate screen in the throne room. "What was that for?!"

She blinked. "What was what for?"

"You outed Loki! Now he's going to lose his only friend!"

She gave him a deadpanned look. "Loki tried to take over the Earth."

"Um, yeah, and us Olympians did take over the Earth. What's confusing?"

"He killed people."

He shrugged "So have we. It's kinda a godly trait"

She sighed. "He's evil."

"Maybe." Athena butted in. "But there's something off about him. Did you see the grief in his eyes when you mentioned New York?"

"Well ..."

"Exactly." She turned back to Percy's screen to see him looking angry beyond measure. There was another bedroom on his floor that he slipped into.

"He lied to me." Percy ground out. "Like Luke." He threw a random book on the floor and Athena seemed to be restraining herself from saying anything.

Hermes' expression turned crestfallen at the mention of his sons name.

"He didn't necessarily lie to you." Hephaestus suggested. "He just ... Avoided telling you."

"I cannot handle this again." He cried. "It hurts too much." Everyone looked around confused until Athena mouthed 'Fatal Flaw'. The gods nodded, looking at the demigod.

"I made friends with a murderer." He laughed bitterly. "He was going to use me wasn't he? They all do." No one said anything and he took that as confirmation enough.

I hate what I just wrote. But he had to find out some way.

Tell me what you think.
