Skullcrawlers: Reunion/Can You Feel the Love Tonight
Skull – Simba
Thrasher – Nala
Weasel – Timon
Buff – Pumbaa
It was late in the afternoon on a far section of Skull Island and all seemed quiet in a forest with very tall trees. Weasel, a gigantic demonic looking weasel looking creature, and Buff, a huge Water Buffalo creature, were currently taking a walk through the forest. They had thought about asking their Skullcrawler friend Skull to come and join them, but had figured that he would still be upset and that it might be best if they left him alone for the moment. They were just strolling through the jungles and singing as Buff provided the beats while Weasel took charge of the lyrics. Weasel was in front of Buff and the former started to sing 'Skullcrawler Sleeps Tonight'…
Buff: A-wimoweh, a-wimoweh
A-wimoweh, a-wimoweh
Weasel had a smile on his face as he started to sing…
Weasel: In the jungle, the mighty jungle
The Skullcrawler sleeps tonight.
A large Weasel beetle came flying through the forest and landed between Weasel and Buff. The Weasel hadn't even noticed it as they kept going with the song…
Buff: A-wimoweh, a-wimoweh
A-wimoweh, a-wimoweh
Weasel: In the jungle, the mighty jungle
The Skullcrawler sleeps tonight.
Buff happened to look down and saw the Weasel beetle as it walked off into the forest. Now mesmerized by the bug, Buff stopped providing the beat and followed after it. When he couldn't hear the beat from his friend anymore, Weasel shouted behind him, "I can't hear ya, buddy! Back me up!"
Weasel: A-wiiiiii
Iiiiii-iiiiii-iiii
He did a small shake of his body as he finished up with…
Weasel: A-Pumbaa-bum-baa-weh
It was then that he didn't hear his friend anymore and took a deep breath. Looking back he found that he was alone and called out, "Buff?" Becoming worried, Weasel calls out, "Buff?"
But Buff was no longer within range of hearing his friend as his mind was too focused on thing at the moment. Buff continued to follow the beetle and was slightly hummed as he followed it. He gasped when it opened its wings and took off. The Weasel beetle landed on a fallen log not too far from her. Buff smiled in delight before slinking towards the log. But he had to quickly hide behind a tree when the bug turned around when it sensed danger. He looked around the log when the beetle turned around and climbed over the log. Buff carefully crawled closer and tried to jump over the log but fell short. He started to climb over the log when the sound of a snapping twig made him freeze. He looked behind him and called out, "Weasel?"
But all Buff could see were a few trees, and a wide-open plain of tall grass before the ocean. The giant Water Buffalo shrugged when he didn't see anything and grunted when he climbed over the log. He came over the side and moved to where the bug was. The Weasel beetle walked along the log as Buff raised his head right beside it. He watched the Weasel beetle for a moment before it suddenly sensed danger once again and flew off. That was when Buff noticed something big in the tall grass.
From the build of the creature, it looked to be a Skullcrawler, so Buff thought that it might be Skull playing a joke on him. But when he looked a little closer, he noticed that this one was a female, and a more bluish coloring of scales. But what was really unsettling to Buff was the growling coming from her and the look of hunger in her eyes. Buff's eyes widened and he screamed at the top of his lungs. This caused the she-Skullcrawler to charge at him with a roar. Buff quickly turned around and ran for his life. The chasing Skullcrawler stomped on the log and shattered it under her foot as she followed after him. Buff was running as fast as his legs would carry him, but the female Skullcrawler wasn't too far behind as she gave a small roar. Elsewhere, Weasel could hear the sounds of the chase and looked about, "Buff?"
Buff and the Skullcrawler came to a very large tree and ran up the huge roots. Buff was able to move out of the way when she lunged forward to take a bite out of him. But then he was quick to jump out of the way when she tried to pounce on him from behind. They came down from the roots before running back through the forest. Weasel searched for her friend and shouted as he ran, "Buff! Buff!"
A frantic Buff broke through a few bushes and saw a very large root that stood up in a tall arch. Thinking that he would fit, Buff ran for it. Weasel came running up to that same root when he shouted, "Buff!"
The Weasel creature was scared out of his fur when Buff tried to come through the root, only to get stuck. Buff became truly scared as he frantically tried to pull himself through, but he was really stuck. Weasel looked to the scared Giant Water Buffalo and asked, "Buff, what's going?"
"SHE'S GONNA EAT ME!" Buff shouted in Weasel's face and the wind from it made his fur fly back. Weasel climbed up on his friend's back and onto to the tree root and looked with a, "Huh?"
That's when he saw the charging she-Skullcrawler breaking through the foliage right towards them. Weasel became terrified and shouted, "Whoa!"
He jumped down to Buff's back end and started pushing to get Buff through. When the Giant Water Buffalo wouldn't go through, he ranted, "Jeez, why do I always have to save your…"
He looked behind him, pressed up against his friend's backside and screamed at the top of his lungs when he saw how close the hungry monster was. The she-Skullcrawler opened her jaws wide as she came closer. But while Weasel thought that this was the end, a large shadow passed over him and Buff. Even the attacking Skullcrawler came sliding to a stop on her two feet and looked in surprise to the arrival of the red male Skullcrawler. But her surprise quickly turned into anger when he collided against her and the two Skullcrawlers tumbled across the ground. When they stopped, Skull stood over and the female kept him back with her hand pushing his face back. They glared at each other with bared teeth. The female was able to knock him back when she was able to swat him in the face with her tail. Skull stumbled back just as the female picked herself back up.
Weasel climbed back onto the root and turned back to the fight while Buff kept trying and failing to free himself. Skull and the female were currently circling each other while growling. She leapt at him, but Skull met her halfway and their bodies collided in a great mash of scales and claws. The two tried to push each other over to no avail for either side and ended up separating. When Skull tried to lunge for her, she was able to jump over him while wrapping her tail around his torso before flinging him into a tree. Though the male crashed and caused the tree to fall. Skull didn't stay down for long as he got back up and roared at the female who responded with one of her own. Watching from the sidelines, Weasel patted Buff's back and reassured, "Don't worry, buddy. I'm here for you." She still looked a little worried when he said, "Everything's gonna be okay."
Though still scared, Buff tried to look over the root, but couldn't given his position. Standing up on the root, Weasel jumped in the air while making punching motions and shouted to Skull, "Get her! Bite her head!"
Both Skull and the female were rolling around on the ground, trying to bite at each other. The female was able to get one of her two legs between her and Skull's face before shoving him away. She jumped at him and tried to scratch at him, but Skull was able to move away before any serious injury could be done. Weasel kept jumping up and down as he shouted, "Go for the jugular! The jugular!"
The two fighting monsters were trying to push each other over with their heads. Weasel suddenly stopped jumping up and down, dropped down on all fours, turned to Buff and lightly nudged his head as he said with a smug grin, "See, I told you that he'd come in handy."
The Weasel creature turned to watch the fight again. Skull had gotten a good distance from the female Skullcrawler and she prepared herself for whatever move he was going to make. Skull charged up to her and tackled into her. But as they tumbled across the ground, they came out with the female on top and she shoved Skull's head against the ground with a loud thump. Skull looked up to the female Skullcrawler with one eye in shock. She growled while panting from the fight. The she-Skullcrawler prepared herself in case the male underneath her made a move. But Skull was no longer in a battling mood as he looked her in the eye. Skull remembered when a Skullcrawler hatchling had shoved his head down like that after coming out on top when he said, "Thrasher?"
This caused the female's feature's to soften in surprise and she quickly backed off of him. Skull was able to get himself back onto his feet and turned to her. Thrasher had moved a good distance as she was still surprised. A smile grew on Skull's face as he stepped closer to her and asked, "Is it really you?"
"Who are you?" Thrasher asks, really confused about the male. Skull's smile didn't falter when he revealed, "It's me. Skull."
"Skull?" Thrasher asked when she took a closer look at him. Skull nodded to confirm this. Thrasher's eyes grew wide and she took a deep breath as she was overcome with joy. Then they both shouted in excitement, "Whoa!"
The two long lost best friends rushed forward and lightly butted heads and then circled each other to get a good look to see how much the other had changed over time. Skull looked to her and asked, "How did you…"
"How did ya…" He asked back. Weasel's face and arms fell from the lack of action, plus at the fact that Skull was being nice to the attacking Skullcrawler. Skull shook his head while saying, "Wow!"
"Where did you come from?" Thrasher asks, wanting to know where he had been for so long. Skull then said, "This gr… It's so great to see you!"
Weasel jumped off the root unto Buff's back and then onto the ground as he questioned while walking over, "Hey, what's going on here?"
"What are you doing here?" Skull asks Thrasher. But this confused Thrasher as she then reverses the question, "What do you mean, 'What am I doing here?' What are you doing here?"
They continued talking while Weasel moved between the two Skullcrawlers. Looking between them, the Weasel creature then shouted at the top of his lungs, "HEY! WHAT'S GOIN' ON HERE?!"
Both Skullcrawlers looked down to the Weasel creature and Skull leaned down a little as he introduced with a smile, "Weasel, this is Thrasher. She's my best friend."
Thrasher smiled to this while Weasel placed her hands on his hips and questions, "Friend?!"
"Yeah." Skull said. Then turning to their stuck friend he shouts, "Hey, Buff come on over here?"
Said Giant Water Buffalo had finally pulled himself out when Skull had called him and looked back to them with a, "Huh?"
"Thrasher, this is Buff." Skull introduced as Buff came over. Then he said, "Buff, Thrasher."
Getting over his fear while making a new friend, Buff bowed on one leg while saying, "Pleased to make your acquaintance."
"It's a pleasure to meet you too." Thrasher said with a nod of her head. Lost in the introductions, Weasel started to say, "How do you…" Then blinking as he quickly remembered and then waving her arms back and forth he said, "Whoa, whoa!"
All three bigger dinosaurs looked to the Weasel as he made a T with his clawed hands while saying, "Time out!" Then pinching the bridge of his snout he said, "Let me get this straight."
Pointing to Thrasher she said, "You know her." Skull and Buff looked to her before Weasel pointed to Skull, "She knows you." They look to him and then Weasel points to Buff, "But he wants to eat her." The two Skullcrawlers looked to the Giant Water Buffalo as the Weasel creature then calmly asked, "And everybody's okay with this?" He suddenly jumped up into the air and he screamed, "DID I MISS SOMETHING?!"
"Come on, relax, Weasel." Skull told her when he lowered his head. The Weasel glanced to her before Skull's attention was taken by Thrasher and raised his head, "Just wait till everyone finds out you were all this time." Thrasher's smile fell as she added, "And your mother, what will she think?"
Her words brought back memories of the last time he had heard those words from his uncle. Then trying to ease things he said, "He doesn't have to know." Then he shook his head as he added, "Nobody has to know."
"Well, course they do." Thrasher said as her smile returned. She knew that everyone back home would be glad to know that he wasn't, "Everyone thinks that you're dead."
"They do?" Skull asks as he arches a brow. Her face fell as he nodded, "Yeah. Alpha told us about the stampede."
"He did?" Skull asks as he glanced away for a moment. He wondered what his uncle has said about what happened. He looked to Thrasher and asks, "What else did he tell you?"
"What else matters? You're alive." Thrasher said, really glad that he was. But then another thought crossed her mind and her face lit up as she said, "And that means…" Skull became surprised as she said, "You're the King."
"King?" Weasel asked before he blew a raspberry. Moving between them she said, "Mister," He leaned against Skull's foot while Thrasher lowered his head as he said, "have you got your Skullcrawlers crossed."
"King?" Buff asks in wonder as stepped closer to Skull. Skull became surprised by this as the Giant Water Buffalo dropped down to her knees and crawled over to her as she said, "Your Majesty! I gravel at your feet." Then moving closer to one of Skull's feet he nosily kissed one of his toes.
"Stop it!" Skull said in annoyance while moving back. Weasel walked over to Buff as he said, "It's not gravel, it's grovel." Then pushing against his friend's snout he said with a slight laugh, "And don't! She's not the king." Then looking to Skull he asked, "Are ya?"
"No!" Skull quickly said. This shocked Thrasher as he says, "Skull?"
"No, I'm not the king." Skull says as he looks to her. He stood up, and walked past them as he said, "Maybe I was gonna be, but that was a long time ago."
Thrasher watched him as he was confused by how he was acting. Weasel put his hands on his hips and said, "Let me get this straight. You're the queen? And you never told us?"
"Hey, I'm still the same guy." Skull reassured as he turned back to them. But Weasel pumped up a fist while adding, "But with power!"
"Could ya'll excuse us for a few minutes?" Thrasher politely asked as she lowered her head with a grin. Weasel looked to her before patting Buff's snout and said, "Hey, whatever he's got to say," Buff and Thrasher's faces fell as he leaned against the Giant Water Buffalo's' snout, "she can say in front of us." He looked to the male Skullcrawler and said, "Right, Skull?"
"Mm…" Skull said as he thought about it before looking to Weasel and said, "Maybe you'd both better go."
Weasel's face fell as he couldn't believe what his friend just said. Then raising her arms he said, "It starts." But complying with his friend's wishes, Weasel turned and muttered, "You think you know a guy."
Buff groaned as she followed Weasel into the forest. When he was sure that they were gone, Skull sighed before turning to Thrasher, "Weasel and Buff." He looked over to Thrasher and added, "You learn to love them."
But his face fell when he noticed how sad she looked as she faced away from him. Becoming concerned for his friend he asked, "What?" He walked up to her right side and asked, "What is it?"
Thrasher took a moment before quietly saying, "It's like you've came back from the dead." She looked to him and shook her head, "You don't know how much this'll mean to everyone." She hung her head and sounded hurt as she said, "Or what it means to me."
"Hey, it's okay." Skull said to comfort her. Thrasher moved towards him and placed her head against his chin as she said, "I've really missed you, Skull."
Though a little startled by her bold move of affection, Skull didn't fight it as he said, "And I've missed you too, Thrasher."
Skull moved his head to where he could nuzzle her which she was glad to return. As they rubbed their heads together, they made purr like growls. Thrasher pressed herself up against him as the continued.
The two sat down while they were being watched from a small distance. Weasel and Buff hadn't really left the two lovebirds alone and were watching the two Skullcrawlers from under the cover of some bushes. While Buff didn't really mind the scene in front of them, Weasel was the exact opposite as she snorts and said, "I tell you, Buff. This really stinks."
"Don't look at me." Buff warned while throwing their cover off. Weasel shook her head and said, "Not you." She gestured to the Skullcrawlers as they got up and left the clearing, "Them!" Then portraying them with her hands, "Her. Him. Alone."
"And what's so wrong with that?" Buff questioned as she didn't understand. Weasel decided to explain through a song…
Weasel: I can see what's happening
"Wait, what?" Buff asks, not understanding what he meant.
Weasel: And they don't have a clue
"Who doesn't have a clue?" Buff asks and looks around.
Weasel: They'll fall in love and here's the bottom line
"Oh." Buff said as he finally understood what his friend was talking/singing about. Weasel then sung in a French accent…
Weasel: The sweet caress of twilight
He climbed up on Buff's head as he made it sound mystifying.
Weasel: There's magic everywhere
And with all this romantic atmosphere
Weasel dramatically swung his arms out as he sang…
Weasel: Disaster's in the air
Buff and Weasel then looked to where Skull and Thrasher had disappeared.
Elsewhere…
Weaver: Can you feel the love tonight?
Skull had led Thrasher to a different part of the prehistoric forest. They came up to a small rise and Thrasher took the lead as they climbed up to the other side. The two lovers found themselves on a path next to beautiful waterfall. Thrasher carefully stepped down the rocks with Skull right behind her. When she had reached the stone path at the bottom of the falls, Thrasher turned around to wait for Skull as he joined her. He came up to her and it made her back up a little. Thrasher moved over to the second waterfall and she stared at him through the falling water.
Weaver: The peace the evening brings
Skull moved to the opening beside the second falls, and they went around in a circle around the second falls one time. Thrasher stopped behind the third falls and turned to stare into the face of Skull.
The world for once
In perfect harmony
With all its living things
Both Skullcrawlers walked on both sides of the waterfall before walking together along the shore. The two came to a spot where Thrasher jumped onto the other side while Skull stayed on his side. Skull and Thrasher leaned down and began to lap the water. And as they lapped up the cool water, thoughts ran through their heads of what they should say to each other…
Skull: So many things to tell her
But how to make her see
Skull looked up from his spot over to her. The two Skullcrawlers glanced to each other before Thrasher continued to drink the water. Skull then thought about telling her why he had left, but thought against it for he believed…
Skull: The truth about my past
Impossible, she'd turn away from me
Thrasher stopped lapping the water and noticed that he had stopped as well. She could tell that he had something on her mind. She lifted her head as she wondered…
Thrasher: He's holding back, he's hiding
But what, I can't decide
The two Skullcrawlers looked to each other when a smile formed on Skull's face. He moved along the rocky shore towards her. Thrasher then started to question…
Thrasher: Why won't he be the king I know he is?
The king I see inside
Skull ran right past Thrasher, confusing her as she turned her head to follow him. He ran up to a vine and grabbed it with his jaws. Then running back to Thrasher he picked up speed. Thrasher moved out of the way to avoid being knocked into as he jumped and swung out over the water. Skull released the vine with a wide grin and fell into the water with a huge splash.
Weaver and Chorus: Can you feel the love tonight
The peace the evening brings
Thrasher was slightly drenched from the splash and then looked out into the water for any signs of him. She quickly noticed a trail of bubbles coming right at her. Looking down at the water, she was caught off guard when Skull burst from the water and wrapped his arms around her neck. Then he playfully pulled her into the water with a much bigger splash. A smiling Skull came back up to the surface as Thrasher burst from the water with a gasp. She quickly swam back over to the rocky shore and pulled herself out of the water. When she was fully on the land and a few feet from the water, she started to breath heavy as it had been a scare for her. Skull came out next and walked up to her with a smile. Thrasher looks to him with a playful grin before snapping her jaws at him. Skull moved back, but it left him open to a sneak attack of Thrasher's as she used her head to push him back into the water. Thrasher took off running as Skull fell in with another huge splash.
Weaver and Chorus: The world for once
In perfect harmony
With all its living things
The sun was starting to set over the island as Thrasher came running out into an open field with Skull chasing after her. Their run caused a flock of small birds to take off in fright. They soon entered the forest again just as the day had become twilight. Skull chased Thrasher down a small hill. At the bottom of the hill, Thrasher turned around and faced Skull as her friend was in front of her. The two Skullcrawler's made playful swipes at each other before Skull lunged at her. Thrasher was unprepared for it as he tackled into her and the two became a ball of scales that tumbled down another hill. Skull and Thrasher held onto each other as they rolled over and over each other. Nearing the bottom of the hill, Skull kept a good grip on Thrasher as she threw them off of the hill.
Weaver and Chorus: Can you feel the love tonight?
You needn't look too far
The two Skullcrawlers landed in a pile with Skull on top of Thrasher. He lifted his head as they both started laughing from their fun. Thrasher was able to pull herself out from underneath Skull and they rose up onto their own two feet. Skull continued laughing while Thrasher looked to him. She gently pushed him back first against the hill and he looked at her in confusion. But she didn't give him a chance to get back up as she locked muzzles with the red scaled Skullcrawler. Skull's surprise went away as he started to kiss her back.
Weaver and Chorus: Stealing through
The night's uncertainties
Thrasher soon let Skull get back up and they moved to where they could nuzzle each other. Both had smiles as they rubbed their necks together. When they stopped, Thrasher walked around Skull before making her way back up the hill.
Love is where they are
Elsewhere…
The thought of losing their best friend made Weasel start cry as she sang…
Weasel: And if she falls in love tonight
It can be assumed
Buff was sad too as he sniffled at the though. The Weasel creature looked to his friend as the Giant Water Buffalo rubbed his snout. Weasel wrapped his arms around Buff's side and started to sob. Buff patted the Weasel creature on the back and took up where Weasel left off…
Buff: Her carefree days
With us are history
The two friends finished together by raising their arms dramatically as they sang…
Weasel and Buff: In short, our pal
Is DOOMED
The two friends looked to each other before bursting into tears. The way that their tears flew was in arches.

Author's Note: And here it is, the somewhat sequel to the Skullcrawler Pinned Ya Scene. And I just want to say that, even though the Skullcrawlers in the movie probably will won't be able to be like other Titans, that's why Fanfiction was invented. And while we know that the big Skullcrawler's like the one from Kong: Skull Island kind of have it coming, it makes me feel bad with what Apex was planning to do with the babies. I look forward to reading your reviews. Be sure to leave a comment either about if I've done something wrong or if you want something specifically to happen. See you next time.
