The two boys that Sakura had ran into were noting short of a blessing in her eyes.
The one with green hair almost immediately ran to her side after seeing the tears on her face to ask her if she was hurt.
Sakura shook her head no, still unable to speak from crying earlier.
"If you're not hurt, why the heck are you crying?" Sakura looked to the boy with ash blond hair and red eyes while she sniffles.
But then he noticed.
"Did you pee yourself?" Sakura flinched at the teasing tone in his voice before she rapidly shook her head.
"No! Ino made me do it!" Both boys frowned in confusion.
"Are you stupid? Someone can't make you pee yourself." The blond said before Sakura shook her head again and began to explain how Ino was her primary bully.
"She always makes fun of me and pushes me around. And I told her that if she's tryin to be a hero, she'd be a lousy one. Because heroes don't bully people! They protect people from being bullied!" The blond's eyes widened a fraction before he glanced at his green haired companion.
"Then what happened?" The boy with green hair asked, sensing that she wasn't done explaining.
"She used her quirk on me." The blond gaped while the green haired boy gasped.
"What is it?! What did she do to you?!" The green haired boy asked as she genuinely looked concerned.
"It's called Mind Transfer. Everyone in her family's got it. She went into my mind, controlled my body, and made me pee myself, in front of everyone." She said as she started crying again after retelling her story.
Both boys clenched their fist before they started to talk over each other while trying to talk to her.
"You're right, what a bad future hero!"
"She sucks."
"You'll be much better than her!"
"Kick her butt!"
Startled, Sakura looked up to both boys who seemed to be on her side, no longer crying.
They were both still yelling over the other. Sakura couldn't help it, she giggled.
Then she started to laugh.
Both boys immediately froze before looking at the pinkette, utterly confused.
When she finally stopped laughing she looked at them both before smiling in gratitude.
"Thank you."
Both boys developed a tinge of pink on their cheeks before the blond looked away acting indifferent while the green haired boy smiled widely before extending his hand out for her.
Sakura reached out with one hand before wiping the tears from her eyes with her other.
"So what's your name Little Pink?" Sakura turned back to the blond before blushing.
She couldn't believe that she hadn't even introduced herself yet.
"Sakura." She said before Izuku waved his hands around in excitement.
"Like the flower, right!? No wonder, your hair is the same color! It's super pretty!" He gushed before pointing a finger at himself. "My name is Izuku! And this is Katsuki!"
"I could have introduced myself, nerd!" Sakura sweat dropped at Katsuki's fiery attitude.
Katsuki noticed Sakura was staring before to look at her and frowned.
"Why is your hair like that?" Sakura jerked in surprise. Did Sai put more paint in her hair without her noticing?
She reached up to touch the back of her head to check only for Katsuki to shake his head.
"Not the back of your hair, I mean your bangs." Sakura froze again.
She had started putting her bangs in front of her forehead to try and cover the size. She tried to ignore Ino and her remarks on her larger than normal forehead, but after a while she had hopped that she would have ignored it if she couldn't see it.
It didn't exactly work out.
"They also make fun of my forehead, Ino started calling me Billboard Brow, now everyone else does too. I was trying to…" she trailed off, getting more embarrassed as she went on. But Katsuki and Izuku understood.
"So you tried to cover it up." Izuku finished while Sakura nodded.
She heard a scoff before flinching, thinking Katsuki may follow along with everyone else's teasing.
"Idiot." Sakura flinched again while Izuku gaped at him. "It will only make it worse if you do that." Sakura's eyes went wide as she looked at the boy who began looking through his back pack that she just noticed he had.
He dug around inside before he pulled out a bento box that was wrapped in a shiny silk cloth that was a bright red, it matched his eyes.
He untied it and folded the cloth before walking over to Sakura. He reached under her hair and brought it up to tie it around her head, pulling her bangs away from her face while doing so.
"You gotta show those idiots that you're better than they are. That no matter what they say, they won't bring you down. Not ever." Katsuki found himself saying. He wasn't sure why though. He normally doesn't care about strangers like this.
But for some reason, finding out that Sakura was being bullied for no reason at all really ticked him off.
Only one thing started running through his mind after hearing her story.
Protect.
Katsuki looked at Izuku who started complimenting Sakura on how pretty the new head band looked on her. Sakura looked down while blushing, thanking him and Katsuki.
Izuku felt his stare and met it straight on.
The normally shy Izuku looked determined.
Katsuki knoew that they were both thinking the same thing.
That they'd both be there for her, no matter what.
A few moments later Sakura admitted that she didn't know where she was. She had ran off in a random direction and didn't know how to get back.
Luckily, Katsuki often explored and was very familiar with the surrounding area. Izuku often followed him and a few others from their class, but the others had gone home early, leaving just the two of them.
For some reason, Katsuki was thankful that the others weren't there. They might have bullied Sakura just like her other classmates.
Katsuki began leading them all back towards the main road where they could go to either Katsuki or Izuku's house where they could tell their parents about how Sakura was lost.
As they finally found the broken fence they had initially came in from, they continued their walk before they emerged to an empty road Katsuki was familiar with.
He began leading them to his own home that was closer.
Once they reached his house they discovered his mom already outside waiting with another woman with green hair. It was Izuku's mother.
She had fat tears pouring out of her eyes.
Both mothers wore incredibly worried expressions on their face.
It was at this time that the three kindergarteners realized that the sun had almost set by now. They hadn't realized how much time had passed while they were in the forestry.
"Mom!" Izuku shouted, catching the attention of both women who looked relieved to have seen their children.
"Izuku! Where have you been? Do you have any idea how late it is?"
"Katsuki you idiot, do you have any idea how worried you father and I have been?"
Both boys had very different reactions.
Izuku ran to his mother trying to tell her that he was okay, while Katsuki merely crossed his arms over his head saying the he was fine, causing his mother to smack him in his head.
"Where were you both?!" Izuku's mother asked.
Both boys looked at Sakura, whom the two mothers just noticed.
The boys began explaining everything about what had happened. After being told of Sakura's story, both women ushered the children inside.
Inko, Izuku's mother, called the authorities to let them know they had found Sakura, sure that her parents or the school called in for a missing or runaway child.
Mitsuki, Katsuki's mother, helped her get cleaned up before giving her some of Katsuki's clothes and put her old clothes into a plastic bag, seen as she probably wouldn't have had enough time to properly wash her clothes.
After washing up, Sakura wound up in the living room with both boys, Izuku and Inko insisted on staying, while they waited for the police and Sakura's parents to arrive.
While waiting, the kids ended up falling asleep while watching the tv. Sakura in between both boys.
While the kids were asleep, the authorities arrived with Sakura's father. Her mother was overseas working for a few weeks.
Kizashi Haruno immediately bowed down to his waist in utter gratitude at the two women before him. "That you so much for finding my daughter and taking care of her." He said, nearly in tears.
Both women quickly pulled him up to a normal standing position before telling him that it was thanks to their son's for finding Sakura, not them.
"Ah! Really?! Then thank you so much for raising your boys so well, if it weren't for them…" Kizashi trailed off as a new wave of tears came to his tear ducts. He rapidly shook his head and wiped his eyes. "Tell your boys I own them my gratitude!" Both women smiled before nodding.
"Of course." Inko said before she looked at Mitsuki who nodded her head. "Forgive us for being bold, but… please look after Sakura more carefully." Kizashi sweat dropped before nodding.
It wasn't his fault she ran away… he was just getting ready to leave work and pick up his daughter when he got the call she ran away.
"Yes, I will make sure to let her know not to run away again."
"No, it's not that." Mitsuki said before she began to fully explain. "You see, your daughter told our sons why she ran away, and they told us after we had asked them where they had been. Your daughter… she being bullied. Bullying of any kind is wrong, but what your daughter has been through…" Kizashi froze.
"B-bullied?" Sakura never told him about this.
Mitsuki and Inko nodded their heads. "Yes, apparently she tried standing up to her bully and in turn, she used her quirk on Sakura. A Mind Transfer quirk. After transferring minds, she made Sakura pee herself in front of all her classmates. Humiliated, she ran away."
Kizashi's breath hitched at hearing what kind of quirk was used against his daughter.
He would need to have a serious talk with Inoichi.
"Thank you so much for telling me about this. I will make sure it's taken care of." At the protective tone in his voice, both women knew they had nothing to worry about.
Kizashi turned around to make his way home, readying himself to walk the extra few blocks to the Yamanaka's despite the late hour, just to make sure it wouldn't happen again for school tomorrow.
"Umm, Mr. Haruno. Sakura's still inside."
Kizashi froze mid-step.
He was so focused on talking to Inoichi, he forgot what he came here for.
A few minutes later, Sakura was getting ready to leave with her father. As they were headed towards the road Sakura stopped before tugging at her father's pants.
He looked down to Sakura. "What is it sweetheart?"
"Hold on! I never got to thank them!" She said before running back to Izuku and Katsuki who were both standing next to their mother's, rubbing the sleep out of their eyes.
But upon seeing her run to them, they were immediately wide awake.
Sakura threw her arms around both of their necks, their cheeks squished up against both of hers, thus not allowing her to see their blushing faces.
"Thank you guys, both of you were my heroes today! I won't forget you guys!" Both of their eyes widened at her words.
She called them heroes…
"What do you mean you 'won't forget', you act like this will be the last time we ever see each other dummy." Sakura pulled back to look at Katsuki's face who was grinning. "You're stuck with us now." Sakura was sure it was meant to sound intimidating, or scary, but all Sakura felt was excitement.
"Until next time then!" She said before running back to her father who was waiting patiently.
They all waved at each other as they parted ways.
The three children couldn't wait to see each other again.
Sakura hoped it would be soon.
