It was ten past two, Erin was sitting alone in the waiting room, she hated every time she had to come here, all she could think about was everything that could be wrong. She expected Jay to be here like he said he would but he wasn't, she was confused because he kept saying no matter what position they were in he'd be there for the baby. She wasn't going to be angry though, he didn't deserve that.

She was startled when Jay arrived sitting down next to her, "Sorry, didn't meant to scare you and sorry I'm late, we were in the middle of a case."

"It's fine Jay, we appreciate you being here." She said rubbing her belly, referring to her and the baby.

Jay smiled to himself, this was really happening. As they both sat there for ten more minutes in complete silence he started to notice Erin squirming around.

"You alright?" Jay asked concerned.

"It's all good, just uncomfortable. Ready for it to be over." She said readjusting in her seat, before he could speak the doctor called them in.

They both walked in, Jay stood next to the bed as Erin stepped up, she laid on her back and rolled her shirt up that covered her belly, Jay couldn't believe it, she was really pregnant, it was the first time he'd seen it without it being covered.

The lady smeared some gel over her lower stomach and started the ultrasound as she spoke to Jay and Erin, asking them the two questions that just made it awkward.

"How long have you two been together?"

"Are you married."

They both just awkwardly avoided the question as she continued to talk about the baby which was the right size and healthy.

"So everything is looking good, baby's weight and height is good but the baby is breech." The doctor said as Erin nodded, Jay's face quickly became concerned.

"Uh, breech?" Jay said clearing his throat to not sound so worried.

"So head is up here," Doc said pointing to the top of Erins stomach, "Bottom is down here." She said pointing to the lower end.

Jay took a deep breath and nodded as the doctor continued, "So the baby needs to be head down for a natural delivery, let's get you measured Erin."

Erin smiled and looked over to Jay who seemed really nervous, he watched as she wiped the gel off her belly and then she got up, he put out his hand for her to steady herself as she got down, it was the first contact they'd had in a long time.

"So, should I be concerned? I really want to have a natural birth." Erin said as she walked over to get measured.

"Oh no, not yet. Breech babies usually turn themselves, there's still a little time but let's check again in two weeks." The doctor said as she measured Erins bump.

After the appointment was over, Erin and Jay walked out of the doctors together, he stood close to Erin, still worried and concerned even though the doctor assured them that it was all okay, Erin didn't seem as stressed as him.

As they got outside Erin grabbed Jays arm, he turned around to face her, "Hey it's all good the baby is healthy."

"Yeah I know, but I can't help it." Jay shrugged.

"It will get easier, I hope." Erin said as she chuckled, Jay joining her.

"So you still up for lunch? I really think we need to talk." Jay asked.

"Yeah that would be nice." Erin smiled as they started walking to a pizza place around the corner from them.

Once they arrived they followed a waiter to a table, Erin squeezed into the booth and sat down letting out a big breath, Jay looked at her confused with a smirk on his face, "Shut up, I'm not as skinny as I once was."

"Sorry," Jay said as he sat in the other side to face her, the waiter gave them some menus and said he'd come back in a little bit.

"So what are you feeling like?" Erin questioned then interrupted as he went to speak, "Pepperoni with extra cheese?"

He raised an eyebrow at her and smiled, she still remembered, "You know me too well, what about you? Margherita with chilli but half the amount of cheese? Then you will have one slice, not like it and want mine."

Erin chuckled, "And you know me."

"Yeah I do, so shall we order then." Jay asked about to wave the waiter over.

"No because although that's my usual our baby does not like that, trust me." Erin laughed, Jay smiled, that's the first time she referred time it as 'our baby'.

"So I will get, I really don't know." Erin shrugged.

"Look just get a couple things, you can pick and whatever you don't like or eat I will."

"Can we get something with pickles then?" Erin asked, Jay chuckled but nodded. He was not use to her cravings, what she did and didn't like.

As they waited for there food, Jay decided it was now or never, he looked up at her as she looked out the window, hand on her belly, he forgot her beautiful she was.

"So have you thought about my proposition?"

"Moving in with you?" He nodded, "Do you really thing it's going to work?"

"I'd rather be there for you without having to check with Voight if it's okay to come see my kid." Jay said annoyingly.

"Well you wouldn't have to do that but yes I have thought about it."

"And?"

"I think it's a good idea, I mean I'm not ready to do this by myself and I know how much you want to be there, but we just need to outline some rules, so you know..." Erin went blank, hoping he would catch on.

"Yeah I know, but I'm glad you want to."

"I want to for the baby Jay, not us, we can't do that it won't be good for anyone." Erin said, he could hear the hurt in her voice, did she want something to happen?

"Yeah I agree, so what are the rules going to be?"

"I don't know, what do you think." Erin asked.

" I don't think it's so much as rules as it is feelings we don't want either of us to regain, so I guess in order to prevent that from happening we don't do things that lead to that, so sitting too close on the lounge, seeing each other half naked, flirting."

"Okay," Erin nodded, "Then if I'm moving in you can't walk around half naked."

Jay chuckled, "Fine then, but that goes for you too. I know how much you like to walk around in nothing but a shirt."

"Trust me Jay, you won't be seeing that, I don't feel at all good about myself so I won't be walking around half naked." Erin said sadly, she was embarrassed, she was use to her body being toned and fit.

"Erin your growing a baby in there, you don't have to be embarrassed. Your beautiful." Jay said, immediately he wanted to take back what he said, of course he meant it but what was he doing? They were trying to stop feelings.

The pizza came at just the right time, they ate, Erin more so then Jay and more of Jays choice then her own but he didn't care, as long it made her and the baby happy and full. After they finished Jay chuckled a couple notes on the table before they left.

"So when do you want to move in? We should probably sort out a room for the baby?" Jay asked.

"How about this weekend? Or I could move in a couple things while your at work? I'm not doing anything else."

"Yeah sure, you do that throughout the week and this weekend we will do the babies room, go to the shops if we need, do some painting whatever you need."

"We need Jay, we are in this together."

"We then." Jay smiled.
