Hey again! Thanks for the Reviews!

I don't own Maid Sama! or any of its characters.

The bell chimed happily, and Tamami looked up from the generous amount of whipped cream she'd put onto a cake, and then grinned.

Takumi had entered the shop with a black-haired woman, both in an adorable arm-lock. They were talking animatedly, Takumi gesturing with his free hand, and the girl listening to him with avid interest.

When he looked up to see Tamami sporting a grin and a raised eyebrow, he shrugged; a cute boyish smile playing on his lips.

They both stopped as they reached the counter, and Misaki handed the jar of choco chips over; flashing a smile and an 'anytime' at Tamami's thanks.

"You're Ayuzawa Misaki-san, right? Mind if I call you Misaki?"

"Oh, no problem….Tamami. That okay?"

"Oh, sure."

Then she flashed a cheeky grin at Takumi before ducking down to take another baking tray out, and then continued.

"I hope my idiotic brother wasn't too much of a bother."

Chuckling, Misaki nudged Takumi's side as he muttered, "Tamamiiii….."

"Haha, no, he wasn't at all. Quite a gentleman, in fact."

"…Then I'm glad."

The two girls laughed, with a sulky Takumi pouting on the side.

"Anyway, you'll be getting your tarts in a few, so why don't you wait at your table? I'll call Takumi when it's ready, so that he can come and get it for you."

"Get it for me?"

"Yeah, Takumi's gonna join you at your table. Aren't you, Takumi? I wouldn't want to disrupt your scintillating conversation."

They looked at Tamami, at a loss for words; then they turned towards each other, their stupefied expressions matching. Bursting into laughter at her choice of words, Misaki replied, puffs of laughter interrupting her reply.

"Yeah, okay."

Misaki went to her table, followed by Takumi, who kept glancing back at his grinning sister.

Tamami watched them, the grin on her lips never fading.

"You're sister's quite the joker, huh? It's nice to talk to her."

"Hmmm."

"Are you still irritated by what she said?"

Takumi eyed the amused smile forming on her lips, and huffed in reply.

"Well, it's quite refreshing to watch you both."

He looked up at that, wondering what she meant.

"Huh?"

"Uh, well, it's just that-you both seem to be in your element when you're together…I mean, it's like, you both have a bond that you'll never be able to have with anyone else."

"Huh. Hmm, I guess so. Don't you experience that with your sister, though?"

"Oh, my sister's quite…..eccentric. Um, let's just say that we're not like, uh, you know, other siblings."

"Do you….not get along? You looked pretty happy together in the picture, though-"

"Oh, no! I didn't mean it that way….Our relationship is rather….strange…..well, we get along well, and I'm worried for her safety, but…..she shows almost little to no expression, and doesn't talk unless it's absolutely necessary…and she's got a ginormous obsession with winning prizes in lotteries, and stuff like that. Kinda like your sister's obsession with chocolate. Although hers is more understandable."

"Huh? I don't see anything wrong in wanting to win -"

"Yeah, but my sister competes in contests where the prizes are stuff like soya sauce and bean curd."

"Oh, I see. Um, if you don't mind me asking, uh, why did she want to buy those….?"

"Oh, hehe, we, um, my family ran into a bit of a debt after my father left, and uh, my sister was always winning things that could help in day-to-day things. She liked cooking, though, so maybe that might have contributed to most of the prizes she got….but it doesn't really explain why she wanted to win dishwashing soap, so yeah."

"Ah…that's quite…..my sympathies."

"Oh, no worries. I worked part-time in my high school days, so I earned enough money. We're stable now. Thanks though."

"Oh, that's good to hear. What do you do now, then? Became a full-timer in that place?"

"…..Uh, yeaaah, no. I'm a lawyer, actually."

"…..Whoa. I should probably be worried about my taxes more, then."

"Haha, maybe I'll make an exception?"

"Phew."

They laughed, and even when they stopped, both their eyes had a twinkle in them, as if they were sharing a secret.

"Sooo, what was your part-time job, then?"

.

.

.

"Um, I, uh…don't…think…."

"…..Oh, it's totally okay if you don't wanna share! I'm fine with that, you don't have to-"

"No, it's okay! I just, uh…." She said, flailing her arms about.

"Heh. It's fine, you know. I don't mind you getting to know me better and then telling me more about yourself."

"Oh…okay."

Chuckling loudly, he drew her attention back to his face from where it had previously settled on the hands on her lap. She frowned, and then stuck her tongue out childishly, in response; and Takumi found it so cute he couldn't help his laughter being replaced by a tender smile that crinkled the corners of his eyes, as he looked at her, what with her folded arms and pout, directed somewhere else.

She seemed to realize that he'd stop chortling, because she glanced back, her pout still on her face; and then, seeing his heart-wrenching smile, she blushed a brilliant shade of cherry-red, and looked away again, now an even deeper frown accompanying her pout and blushing cheeks.

"Well, why don't you want to tell me though? It can't be that embarrassing, now can it? I mean, it's not that uncommon for a high school student to have a part-time job, so I was thinking along the lines of being a waitress or something, seeing that you 'can't cook'. So, is it that bad?"

His tone had travelled towards more of a teasing one at 'can't cook', but then turned more serious as he asked the interrogative.

She had turned back to face him as he had continued, and now she was sporting a rather embarrassed look, and then looked towards the counter, where Tamami was taking something out of the oven; and spoke again, her gaze still turned away from him.

"Well, um, it was a…café. A job that paid well, and the manager there was really kind to me, so….it offered me a really good opportunity, which I probably wouldn't find anywhere else. Even though, it was, well a, uh, a maid café."

"A maid café?!"

Ah ah, the secret's out! Except it doesn't hold as much significance as it did in the actual story...(they even named it based on that, haha)

Anyway, I would appreciate more reviews. Classes have started, so...life's a bit more hectic than usual. And I've noticed a lot of people don't put in reviews, cuz I can see how many people view my stories, so...yeah. Thanks again to all those who have put in reviews!

Yosh, until next time, then!
