An note: Sorry for the delay my labtop's battery stoped working. I finnaly saved enough money to get a new one; it's been a rough few months for me. I had to replace my phone, buy a new set of tires for my car, and I moved into a new apartment complex. Last of the Spirits will be on delay because I really can't remember where I was going with the story. Instead I have decided to write a new story about one of my favorite arcs in the series. So without futher ado...

I do not own Danmachi.

Bell and Lyu lay in the dirt after their battle with the Juggernaut, both were completely exhausted and on the verge of Mind Down. Bell looked at the women lying next to him.

She risked her life to save him time after time after time, sure she only helped him because her best friend begged her to save the man she loved, not because she particularly cared for his life herself, but she helped him in floor 18, the war game, and the battle of Deadalas Street.

On the 37th floor Bell had come to the realization... he really didn't love Ais Wallenstein; he simply had a crush on her. How can you truly fall in love someone you don't know anything about?

Bell thought about Ais for the first time since he was on the 25th floor and found his heart no longer fluttered when he thought about her long blonde hair or her cream skin. Bell looked over at Lyu... his heart beat picked up and became more erratic. She was willing to throw away her own life to allow him to live in the colosseum. She trained him and taught him how to survive in the depths of hell. Lyu was the most amazing person he had ever met.

Unknown to Bell a skill on his back slowly began to alter. Bell's wish was no longer to get stronger to catch up to the Kenki; he wished to protect the ones he loved.

"We won, didn't we..?"

"Yes.."

"We can go home..?"

"Yes."

Bell smiled. He had never missed the sun more than he did right now. He wanted to walk through the crowded streets of Orario with Lyu, and take a break from the Dungeon's deadly machinations and its dark corridors.

"Bell?"

"Yes?"

"I love you."

Bell heart skipped a beat.

"I love you too."

Bell waited a minute and after not recieving a response he looked over at Lyu. Her head was slack anf her chest wasn't moving. In the dark light of the Dungeon it looked as if she were simply resting, but Bell knew better. Using his level 4 senses he couldn,t detect any sign of life in the desolate halls beside his own.

Bell rolled over and shook Ryuu's shoulders. He desperately begged for the elf to be alive. He had finnaly found love and it was ripped away in the same instant. Bell cried on Lyu's body for minitues before a Skull Sheep wandered into the chamber he was in.

Bell sensed the sheep immediately and jumped to his feet knife ready. The Sheep charged; at the very last second Bell side stepped and stabbed the monster's crystal and it disentagrated immediately.

"Five minutes... right."

Bell ,still crying, lifted Lyu into his arms and started walking. Bell could imagine it now; Lyu would have been mad and yelled at him for wasting energy lugging around a useless piece of baggage. However Bell refused to leave her body for the monsters to devour.

After 6 minutes and 2 more fights Bell arrived back on the main path; instead of heading towards the 36th floor Bell started back to the third ring where he knew there was a breakable wall that would lead to a safe zone where he could rest.

37th foor

On the 37th floor the Xenos and Hestia familia arrived and could not find Bell anywhere. After nearly 8 hours of searching they were forced to return to the surface downtrodden.

Hestia was waiting at the Hearth Mansion for her familia to return with Taki and Maich familia. She was nervous; as supporter-san had requested she sent reinforcements to help elf-kun. However since then the Dungeon had made a horrible screeching and the entire city shook.

Her and the other gods only reassurance was that they could tell that their children were still alive by the flana on their back.

Naaza and the Taki familia members had waited for the last 16 hours; ever since the Dungeon's wailed. Ganesha, Hermes, and Loki familia had blocked the entrance of the Dungeon on orders of the Guild. No one in everyone out. Theywere playing the waiting game.

Just as the clock struck 8 in the morning Asuka, a member of Taki familia whos turn it was to watch the entrance of the Dungeon rushed in.

"Their back!!"

Everyone jumped in suprise but quickly recovered and rushed out the door. When they arrived at Babel Guild workers were questioning the group. they were the only people who made it back from the 27th floor.

There was lots of yelling; people trying to find out what happened. to one side was Loki familia the other Hermes; Ganesha

familia was still guarding the entrance. Hestia even thought she might have seen the Boaz.

Off to one side, "Where's Argonaut-kun."

Hestia looked at who yelled. Tiona one of the Amazons from Loki familia who were friends with Bell looked worried.

Suddently the whole square went quiet. Everyone looked at the returning adventures for answers, however they were all looking at the ground. After a little mummering amoungst themselves Lili steped forward with tears in her eyes.

"Bell-sama and Gale wind are dead."

The yelling ensued again. Several people around the square looked worried and sad but...

"No!" Everyone looked at Hestia who had screed. "He's still alive I can fill his flana."

"But.." it was Eina who spoke up this time "that would mean..."

"Rabbit Foot's still in the Dungeon." Aisha finnished with new hope in her eyes.

Au: I am really exited for this story. Volume 13 and 14 have always been my favorite. I searched for a story like the one I'm writing for the longest time but couldn't manage to find one. The story background will be mostly the same as before vol 14 but there will be small differences. Meteria will not be Bell's birth mother; his mother will still be dead but who she actually is will be a big difference. I will also not just be focusing on this story I will be writing a Bell x Artemis story at the same time. Thank you for reading!
