-Give me a sign.

-I have reasons to give you more than just a sign Castiel.- The sudden voice behind Castiel made the angel's breath catch in his throat. He turned his head to glance over his shoulder.

The prophet.

No.

That was no prophet.

That was-

~~~~~
Bobby, Dean and Sam were fixing a few of the wardings against angels when a crash came from somewhere in the yard.
-The hell was that?- As if to answer his question something landed on the ground.
A tan coat.
The angel scrambled off the ground at the speed of light looking like he just saw the protagonist of the nightmares of his nightmares.
And Dean hated how he still had it in him to be worried about the bastard.
-What the hell are you doing here?- Snapped Dean as the angelhidbehind a wary half startled Sam.
-Is it too late to ask for forgiveness? I promise I will stop it all. I will stop it all I swear it. Deal? Oath? I will sign a contract with blood if you want. I will kill Crowley for real. Just hide me please. Hide me-
Thunder reverberated above with the might of the end of times and Castiel blanched at it.
-CASTIEL!
The booming voice came from none other than Chuck standing in the middle of the yard wielding a fury able to be felt in the air.
-Chuck?
-That's not Chuck. That's Him.- Half whispered Castiel doing his damn best to hide behind Sam and holding onto his shirt for dear life.
But Sam heard him.
And it took him a moment to realize the meaning of those words.
He felt his blood run cold when he realized it.
-That's God?
Bobby and Dean glanced at Sam growing pale as paper.
What?
An inhuman shriek was heard along with Sam stumbling as Castiel was brought forward.
And the angel held onto Sam's arm for dear life.
-Castiel. Let the human go.- Came the warning from Chuck. Wind picking up and making shivers run down the humans' spines.
-Uhm. Cas?- Sam's voice came weaker than he anticipated but come on God was standing a few feets infront of him looking royally pissed and ready to smack the fuck out of someone or just go drink whiskey for the rest of his life.
And the cause of it seemed to be the angel glued to his arm.
He had all the right to feel at the verge of a heart attack.
-Castiel last warning.- Sentenced God as thunder clattered above with a skin crawling might. And despite all there was a sense on his face of a man who was too tired of dealing with this shit.
-I have something to do. You can go get to Raphael first. He's in heaven. Isn't heaven more important?
Dean never thought a man let alone Castiel could muster such high pitched voice.
God took a deep breath and the imminent end of times in his posture seemed to dim.
-Look. I'm really tempted to be civil here. I really am. I mean, I ignored the Apocalypse.
Say what now?
-I ignored Lucifer killing those Pagan Gods. Ignored Gabriel's games. Ignored Zachariah resurrecting that boy. The fact that Lucifer had the audacity to bring the horsemen out. But this. This is going too far. Working with demons. Wanting to open Purgatory. You never learn do you? Do you want me to put you back in Lucifer's cage that bad?
-No!- Castiel's head shot up from where he was hiding behind Sam. And then heflinched,as if realizing towhodid he just shout.
God put the fear of God into angels.
How poetic.
-I... I'm sorry?- Castiel's voice came out as that of a child's last attempt to sooth their father's imminent wrath and eventual punishment.
-Look. Let's do this. Tell me who are the main responsibles this time and I may consider lessening your punishment. I mean, it's not like you actually opened Purgatory. I can be a bit... flexible.
-...I don't know.
God blinked and Dean was pretty sure that was a The-Audacity-Of-This-Bitch blink.
-Castiel. Are you... are you lying to me? To me?
There was gonna be blood.
Dean wanted some popcorn.
-... No.
God took a deep breath and glanced back at the sky.
As if He was asking for strength.
Fucking God was asking for strength to the sky.
The poor man looked like He had spent way too much dealing with shit like this and He was just so done with all of this.
Bobby kinda felt pity for Him.
Chuck for his side was praying to Himself to have patience.
Patience was a gift.
A gift He had to rejoice in for the sake of not killing His children.
His children who did nothing but bring chaos into His favorite creation and Heaven just for the sake of getting on His hair.
Deep breaths. In. Out. In. Out. Deep breaths. Killing His children wasn't good for His all forgiving image. He had to be understanding and patient and all forgiving.
It was all about being understanding.
-Okay. Just one question then. Castiel did you order Balthazar to save the Titanic and then threatened Fate with death?
His voice was calm as He looked at Castiel.
But the angel's next action weren't something neither hunter ever expected to see.
Castiel fucking bolted the fuck away.
Dean never thought someone could run that fast.
But he didn't got that far before he fell face first on the ground.
After all. No one could outrun God.
Chuck appeared right at his side, bent down and grabbed the back of the trench coat with a sigh. And that sigh carried so much weight of someone who just was tired as fuck.
The angel got up with the look of a damned man plastered on his face.
-Don't worry I will see that all my children are back in heaven and stay out of trouble.- He tells the trio of hunters still glaring murder at Castiel who is staring at the floor as if asking to be swallowed by it.
-Uhm. You don't have to lock him up there. I mean. He's been a bit of a dick lately but we uh... we kinda like him.- Tells Dean feeling like he is about to faint as the gaze of God falls upon his soul. Maybe calling an angel a dick infront of God wasn't a good idea.
-I will think about it.- Are Chuck's last words as he drags Castiel away and the trio can swear on their lives they heard him whispering" I leave heaven for a couple of years and the brats go crazy. I should had put them all in cages."
The hunters never thought they would feel pity towards God.
