*SPLASH*

"GAAH! Haah... haah..."

"Wakey wakey."

"Huh?" Kamiji, snapping out of her cold stupor, looked towards the source of the voice, "Y-You!"

"Me." Midoriya said before pointing to All Might in his puffed form, and Recovery Girl, "They. We. Need to talk."

"The fuck? WE don't have anything to talk about-"

"The fact that you can turn yourself into fire, when your Quirk is only turning your hand into fire is something that needs to be talked about. And believe it or not, I know someone who might know what the hell that was."

*SLAM*

"And we need to figure it out!"

"Oh no Nezu, you stay out of this!" Recovery Girl of all people was waving her cane around at the rat principal who barged into the room, "The last thing we need is for you to put another student in bodily harm for your curiosity!"

Before he can even counter argue, he was booted out by Recovery Girl, "Now... who is this friend of your Midoriya?"

"Uhh before I call him, I'm gonna need to borrow 50,000 yen on the grounds that I'll never pay it back."

"What do you mean on the grounds?! That's not how it works!"

"Nice of you to pay for this knowledge." Recovery Girl said as All Might sighed.

"Fine... whose your friend Young Midoriya?"

"Quiet, I'm calling him right now."

...

*Click*

"What's up kid?"

"Hey G, you're on speaker phone with All Might, Recovery Girl, and the girl that was on fire on live television."

"I see, talk about friends in high places." He chuckled, "Lemme guess, you want to hear any information that I have about your friends spontaneous combustion?"

"Yup. We doing the 50K standard fee?"

"Woah there champ, this info is pretty heavy and useful. The 50K isn't gonna cut it."

"You're in no place to make demands-"

"Fine, 50K and a tier 2 favor from All Might himself."

"Woah wait, tier 2-"

"Deal."

"Don't I get a say in this?!"

"And since you're here All Might, I'll make my demands vocal now." Giran said, "See one of the locals here at the pub has a daughter. Sweetheart, sees the world with stars in her eyes, and wants to be a hero. Her birthday's coming up and she's a major All Might fan, so I'd appreciate it if you can, you know, pull the #1 Hero thing, and magic up some rare memorabilia."

...

...

"Wait, that's all?"

"Preferably signed, but that's about it."

"... Sorry, I was expecting some info I need to divulge."

"I mean if you want to spill some I'd love to hear it. But the gift for the kid's birthday is enough for me."

"See G may be a slum lord informant of the highest caliber-"

"Aww kid you're embarrassing me."

"But if there's 2 things he loves in this world is money, and seeing kids happy."

"Booze and cigars, don't forget those."

"Yeah keep saying that I'll get your ass to quit sooner or later."

"In your dreams kid." Giran took a drag of his cigarette, "So we have a deal?"

"... Well if it's for a fan then I'd be more than happy to!" He exclaimed with his trademark laugh.

"Alright ease up on the laugh." Giran complained tossing his cigarette into the ash tray, "So back to business."

"Right, do you know what happened to the girl?"

"I've only seen something like that happened once. But it's what people in the know call a 'Quirk Awakening'."

"Awakening... like an evolution?" Kamiji asked.

"Is that the girl?" Giran said as Kamiji squeaked away, "Well anyway, yeah Quirk Awakenings. It's basically when your Quirk hits it's next level... or as she called it, an Evolution. In the case with the girl instead of her arm turning into flames her entire body turned into flames."

"When I took a swing at her, my hand phased through her. Like her entire body was made of fire, yet her skin, hair, and everything looked normal."

"Odd, but we don't truly know jack anything about Quirks. Asides what they do and how they impact out bodies, there isn't much we know about them."

"Makes sense, if you really think about it they haven't been around for long. I'd say 200ish years."

"Essentially, but this is a new phenomenon, something very few can claim happened to them. So congrats kid, you're one in a million."

"T-Thank you..." Kamiji muttered, mildly embarrassed at the comment.

"But be careful."

"Huh?"

"I'm saying this because I like the kid, and you by association. You're a rare phenomenon, and honestly I wouldn't be surprised if you're case is a sign of things to come. Either way you need to be careful, people will come after you to pick your brain and your Quirk apart to figure out how to trigger evolutions on a whim." Giran warned.

"G-Got it."

"Good, and kid, be careful with this one. We don't know what will happen to her Quirk in the near future, so for your sake, and the sake of everyone at that school. Be close by to calm down her raging fire."

"Gotcha."

"Good, I'll expect the 50k and the gift later. And for everyone's sake, don't tell me what you figure out about these Quirk Awakenings or Evolutions or whatever you want to call them."

"Gotcha, thanks again G."

"Don't mention it... seriously." And with that, he hung up, leaving the 4 of them to digest the information they were just given.

"So Quirk Evolutions." All Might started, taking a seat on a spare chair.

"Well we know that they grant the user new abilities." Midoriya added, "Ace, can you use that ability again?"

"... Ace?"

"Yeah, Ace, from One Piece? He can turn himself into literal fire like you can." He explained before shaking his head, "Anyway, not important, get out of that tub and see if you can transform your body into fire."

"Sure." Kamiji stood up and tried willing her body to transform into fire... but nothing happened, "... Can't do it."

"So with that, we have 2 possibilities. Either she doesn't know how to activate her new ability... or she can't use it yet."

"What do you mean? I just did earlier."

"That was probably a glimpse into your new Awakening. And you could use it for a few minutes because of your high adrenaline." Midoriya theorized before leaning back into his chair, "Ace, did anything happen that you think caused the Awakening. It'd help if we can figure out any kind of catalyst for it."

Kamiji sat down to think, she thought back to her battle at hand... and the memories of her home life flashed through. "I remember... being very angry. At your words, and a few flashbacks that hit my mind. And then, I felt something snap."

"So, basing this solely on your experience, the cause was an emotional catalyst. Your anger and memories caused your Quirk to evolve."

"Makes sense in a way." Recovery Girl chimed in, "Quirks aren't only physical abilities. They also play a part in a person's emotions." She gestured to Midoriya and Kamiji, "Take you two for example. You both wield fire Quirks, and while you two are vastly different in terms of power and personality, you both have the same common denominator of being naturally hot headed. You both wish to be the strongest and victorious. You both get angry and for lack of a better term, heated rather easily."

"Hmm... I didn't think about Quirks in that light before." Midoriya pondered, thinking back to Bakugou's explosive behavior, Todoroki's ice cold personality, Kurorio's dark and mysterious demenor, and Iida's high speed no rest attitude. "It makes sense now that I think about it."

*Bzzt*

"Midoriya, get back to the stage, your next match starts in 5 mintues."

"Welp can't leave the man waiting, let's go Ace!" Grabbing Kamiji's hand, Midoriya dragged the girl away against her will.

"W-Wait! Why are you dragging me?!"

"Didn't you hear G? You and I are joined at the hip now unless you want to burn down the school."

"But but but—"

"And you want to get into the hero course, don't ya?"

"Well duh-"

"Then I'll help you get in. Because I'm such a nice guy."

"Wait a minute wait a minute!" She dug her heels into the ground and slowing their charge down to a slow crawl, "Why are you helping me?! Is it pity?"

"Oh very much so."

"The fuck-"

"But it's also so I can keep a closer eye on you, and besides your power when you unlock it fully will be super useful on the field. You're like a ghost that can hit back. And if you can't, then I can at least teach you how to properly beat someone up. Because seriously that was freaking pathetic."

"B-But that's not—"

"Aaand we're running again!"

"What?! Wait a minute!"

...

"Hey Yanagi! Brought you a friend!" Midoriya dumped Kamiji down into the seat next to her, "You two get aquatinted, I'm going to go get my ass kicked by Pony! Byeee!"

...

...

"Sup?"

"Hello."

"You're just going to roll with it?!" Uraraka exclaimed in shock.

Yanagi just shrugged, "Midoriya trusts her, so I do as well."

"I'm touched." Kamiji muttered sarcastically, before feeling numerous eyes on her back, "What?"

"N-Nothing, just... what happened down there?" Hagakure asked.

"... None of your business."

"Oh come on!"

"Do these people know when something doesn't involve them, to... I don't know, not force themselves into it?"

"Not at all." Uraraka ignoring a betrayed 'Hey!' from Hagakure she turned her attention back to the stage, "So who do you think's going to win?"

"Between Deku and the Horse Chick?'

"Deku? Like 'Deck'?"

"Long story, anyway I don't know Horse Chick's powers, besides looking like a horse."

"She can shoot those horns out of her head." Yanagi pointed out, "And you were right about her horse attributes, they grant her increased speed and kicking power."

"They both have speed, power, and projectiles." Kamiji commented, "Sounds like it can go either way, but knowing Deku he'll pull something out of his ass to defeat her."

"Honestly that's not an unfair assessment." Yanagi looked at the stage, to see the duo staring each other down, "But I wouldn't count out Pony just yet."

"How so?"

"Because Pony is pretty damn strong."

"Tetsutetsu, I see you've recovered." Yanagi commented, as Tetsutetsu took the empty seat in the front row.

"He kicked me in the face a lot." He pointed to the bandage on his left cheek, "But all and all it was just using my Quirk too much. But back to Pony..." Tetsutetsu got back up and walked towards the wall separating Class 1-A's seating from 1-B's, and with one fluid motion.

*WHAM* *Crumble*

Broke it down.

"Hey Kendou, can I borrow you real fast?"

"You broke through solid concrete!" Mineta exclaimed, shocked at that feat of strength, and even more shocked that Tetsutetsu didn't even acknowledge or brag about it, just grabbed Kendou and dragged her over.

"So this is Kendou."

"H-Hey?" Kendou, still processing this whole... process, just stared at Tetsutetsu, "Dude, you're going to get in trouble—"

"Cementoss will fix it. Anyway, Kendou over here focuses mainly on her fists, and I'd say is the strongest brawler in our year."

"W-Wait—"

"Accurate." Yanagi added, "There are very few who can stand up to her in a 1 on 1 battle of fists. That's including Pros."

"G-Guys—"

"But on the opposite side, if Kendou here is top tier in terms of Punching..."

"Then Pony is unparalleled in terms of her kicking power." Yanagi finished up Tetsutetsu's set up.

"But what this have to do with Deku?"

"Midoriya is more of a jack of all trades, king of none." Yanagi stated, "That fact is masked by his second Quirk granting him a strength and speed boost. However, in a 1 on 1 battle?"

"In a battle of kicks he's screwed."

"But his second Quirk should very easily match her right?"

"Not exactly." Tetsutetsu instinctively touched his left cheek, "I felt it... felt it when Pony and I trained together, and Midoriya kicking me in face. And while Midoriya is stronger at his current max output, Pony can definitely keep up to him."

"Really?"

"... I can see that." Yanagi said, "Because I just realized something about Pony that can amplify her kicking power that I didn't until now."

"... And that is?"

...

"Your feet." Midoriya commented, deciding to confront Tsunotori in her native tongue as he stood face to face with her, "They aren't normal."

"That's kinda rude, but you're right." She confirmed, "My horse attributes don't stop at my stronger legs. My feet are basically hooves, which would hurt waaaay more than getting kicked by a normal foot."

"Makes sense, assuming I'm hitting you with the base of my foot versus you hitting me with the base of your hoof. Now I skipped biology, but I'm sure hardened keratin that makes up a normal hoof is better than flesh and a little but of bone-"

"If you two are done talking can we get a move on?" Midnight asked.

...

...

"You heard the lady." Tsunotori said, getting on all fours to be ready to charge. "Let's go—"

"Money shot... money shot..." Hearing those words and the flash of cameras, Tsunotori blushed a deep red.

As for Midoriya?

*FWOOSH* *CRASH* *CRASH* *CRASH*

He wasn't having it, using quick blasts of fire to incinerate their cameras, "H-Hey you little brat—"

"She's 16 you gross fucks. Back. Off." The other reporters didn't need to be told twice, less they wanted their cameras... and themselves to be burned. Taking a deep breath, Midoriya charged up 10% of One for All... waiting for the signal.

"... BEGIN!"

...

"My my my..." A figure in a red cloak muttered, standing at the top of the stadium whilst watching the battle, "So far he has shown his potential."

Dodging one of Midoriya's punches, Tsunotori delivered a swift kick to his stomach. Withstanding the brunt of the attack, Midoriya gripped her calf and tossed her away from him.

"Not to mention that horse girl... and admittedly everyone else he faced."

*Bzz* *Bzz*

The figure felt a rumble in his pocket, he dug into his pocket and pulled out a phone... a phone coated in blood.

UN: Got elim'd. I'll be there soon.

"Good..." He muttered, as his body was fading into miniature diamonds.

"I shall soon test his true potential... a potential shown when faced with death."

...

"And with a sharp kick from Tsunotori! She's a star with those legs folks!"

'... Damn.' Aizawa thought, ignoring his co-com's excited yells to focus on his own thoughts, 'Every time he's thrown into a new challenge... he finds different ways to over come it. Not only that but it somehow helps his classmates too.'

He recalled when Tetsutetsu helped Kirishima, or when Shiozaki and Tsunotori helped Yaoyorozu and those she was with, to even when Tokage figured out a way to escape the stranded boat... no matter how many times Bakugou said he did all the work.

Heck even now in this very Sports Festival, on his way back from the bathroom he heard Uraraka and Hatsume talking about how they wanted to give Midoriya a challenge. And he remembered Power Loader complaining that Hatsume only cared about her quote unquote babies, and to hear her of all people caring about giving someone else a challenge...

"Charisma..."

"Hmm? What's up?" Mic asked, shutting off the PA system.

"Midoriya, his charisma is... up there."

...

...

"Huh, it's been a long time since I've heard you not speak in a complete and coherent sentence." Mic quipped, "But you have a point, the little dude had a way to get even the grump and irritated talking and thinking about him... sounds familiar don't you think?"

'Outrageous! Scandalous! Shameful! Lemme in on it!'

"... In a way I suppose."

...

*WHACK*

"GAH!" He gripped his bleeding nose, 'I-It's broken...'

"FOCUS UP!" She yelled, charging forward to kick him square in the stomach, causing him to bend forward and spit up yellow bile.

*FWIP*

But Tsunotori gripped his cheeks, and in one swift motion...

*CRACK*

Collided her forehead with his, a loud crack echoed through the stadium as Midoriya collapsed onto the ground.

"MIDORIYA IS DOWN!"

...

...

"Midoriya is—"

"COME ON!" Midnight's statement was cut off by Tsunotori's yell, "That can't be all you have right?! YOU WANTED TO WIN RIGHT?!"

*Rustle*

"You, wanted to move past me. You, wanted to fight everyone else. And above all else! YOU WANTED TO MEET REIKO AT THE END!" She punched her chest with a balled up fist, "I'm not Reiko! I'm not the end! So get your sorry ass off of the floor AND FIGHT ME!"

Midoriya's eyes shot open as he took in a sharp intake of air. Staring up at Tsunotori's determined glare, he forced himself up. "You... got me good there." He muttered, before charging up 22% of One for All.

"But I'm not going down. Not for a long while."

...

*BONK*

"DAH! FREAKING PIECE OF!"

"You two!" Recovery Girl yelled, waving her syringe cane at the two combatants. "I expected this kind of behavior from him... but you! You were supposed to be one of the good ones!" She wailed, tears streaming from her eyes as she saw Tsunotori covered in bunps, bruises, the occasional cut, and she was missing one horn.

"It worth." She said with a cheeky smile, a smile that was missing a few teeth.

Recovery Girl groaned as she glared at Midoriya, who was fairing worse than the girl. A swollen eye, bruised face, blood streaming from where Tsunotori headbutted him, and a smile that was missing his entire front two teeth.

...

...

"It worth."

His response was rewarded with another solid whack, and a strained yelp of pain.

...

"HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!"

"It baffles me how you two can just laugh after a battle like that..." Yanagi muttered, seeing her two friends eating popcorn while laughing.

"Not to me, you should have seen Recovery Girl, she was legit crying!" Midoriya cackled, eating a few more kernels, "She was so sad about the fact that Pony was in slightly better shape than I was, and my skull was fractured!"

Tsunotori flexed, "I'm strong!"

"I'll say! Had I not had a short shot of adrenaline then I would have been KO'd there." He giggled, "But hey, we not only get to see the Enamel Heroine: Tooth Fairy tomorrow for new teeth, but we also get free ice cream!"

"Ice Cream!"

"What the— Hey! Where's my ice cream?!"

"Lose some teeth and maybe you'll get some."

...

...

"Hey Kendou-"

"No."

"Darn."

"But seriously! I can't believe Tetsutetsu just broke the wall to get Kendou in here. That's great!"

"I know right!"

'These people are crazy...' Mineta thought, seeing the two people who just beat the ever living shit out of each other just... laugh it off like it was nothing.

"Midoriya!"

"And that's my cue." Midoriya set his popcorn down and jumped into an incoming Iida's arms.

"W-What the—"

"Onward mule! Hiya! Hiya!"

"I-I'm not your mule!" He exclaimed, but still carried Midoriya down to the stage.

...

...

"If the hero business doesn't work out he can always run a rickshaw company." Kamiji muttered.

And no one disagreed with that statement.

...

"Man I fought tooth and nail against someone who specialized in kicking and what do I get for it? Another kicker!" Whining to himself, he looked around the stadium, and saw a little girl waving a sign around with child energy and vigor. "Welp, Sai is cheering for us."

"That's right." Iida replied limbering up.

"Then let's give her a good show, and don't worry." He charged up 10% of One for All. "I'll make sure not to beat you up too badly.

"Hah!" He chuckled, "I'd love to see you try."

"BEGIN!"

...

*Fwoosh* *Tap Tap*

...

...

"There you are. Hero Killer." Tensei Iida, also known as Ingenium, stood face to face with the notorious Hero Killer.

"... Ingenium." He growled, gripping his serrated sword tight in his hand, "You've made a mistake finding me, you false hero."

"Call me whatever you want, but I'm still going to stop you."

"Fine. Then let our two wills clash—"

*Fwoosh*

"Skip the sales pitch." Rushing forward, Ingenium interrupted Stain's triad with a right hook.

*CLANG*

Only for Stain to parry it with his katana, "Very well..." He got into his battle stance.

"Come at me."

...

*FWOOSH* *WHAM* *CRACK*

"And Tenya Iida blitzed Izuku Midoriya, but a strong block cause not only a stalemate! But the stage to crack! Someone get Cementoss on deck!"

"He's already on deck..."

"Damn that Sonic kid is pretty good." Mitsuki commented, having finished her 3rd can of beer and fishing for another. And she says she doesn't have a problem.

"But Izuku is doing a good job of stopping him." Inko commented, "Even after getting knocked down just a round earlier, he's fighting as if it never happened."

"The fact that little Izuku only got knocked down once is impressive." Mitsuki commented, 'Though it's only a matter of time before he really starts to feel the stress. Iron Man, Horn Chick, and now Sonic. Those 4 tested his physical strength and his strength Quirk. While Size Girl and Fire Hand Lady shows up and tests his fire Quirk and agility.'

She leaned back into the recliner, 'And it's not like he's not strong enough to just beat them outright. No, he's sandbagging. He wants to see the people he's fighting at full potential, while pushing his own body to it's limit. He's treating this whole thing as a training exercise, for both him and his classmates.'

...

...

'Heh, look at me being all philosophical and shit.' Mitsuki thought before looking at Hisashi, who was staring down at his phone "What's got your attention?"

"Huh? Oh just a message from a worker. Even though we all have a day off for the Festival, work never really stops." He said before standing up, "Sorry, I need to call 'em back."

"Workaholic."

Hisashi laughed at that insult, "Izuku had to get it from someone."

"He got it from both of you, seriously you two need a day off."

"I'll have plenty of those when I'm dead."

"... You two have problems." Believe it or not, it was Bakugou's dad, Masaru Bakugou who said that.

"Thank you babe."

...

"What do you want?"

"You know why I'm calling."

"Look, I understand how you feel Bro. Really I do—"

"You don't know how I'm feeling—"

"News flash, he was my nephew and my Dad too. And not only that, I'm a dad too. Regardless, you know as well as I do that he's not going to take an internship with you."

"Because he's still upset—"

"Oh he's upset, very much so and that's to be expected, but that's not the reason. Someone got to him before you did."

"Who?"

"I know better than to tell you." Hisashi grumbled, "But I do know someone who would, if you're so desperate for a 2nd intern."

...

...

"Who?"

"Well for starters she's the sibling of your best sidekick."

...

*WHAM*

"Haah... haah... damn it Iida why don't you just give up?" Midoriya asked, fatigue quickly catching up to him.

"I can... ask you... the same question..." Iida wasn't faring any better.

"Well I'm... half way... though this stupid tournament. I'm not gonna... quit now."

"Then let us... end this!" Iida muttered, crouching down prepping for his last ditch effort.

"My thoughts... exactly..." Midoriya replied, feeling One for All increase in intensity. "22%..."

"Recipro..."

"RUSH!"

"BURST!"

*FWOOSH*

The two rushed at each other at blinding speeds... and at the center.

*WHAM*

The pair's last ditch attacks collided. Iida's propelled kick and Midoriya's high powered punch. Both sides pushing for dominance as they appeared to be at equilibrium.

...

...

*Pew*

Until smoke erupted from Iida's calves. Causing him to swiftly lose all of his speed and acceleration, slowing down to a halt.

"... So 10 seconds huh?"

"I-Indeed."

"Well um... this is kinda awkward." Midoriya muttered, still grabbing Iida's ankle from the clash.

"Indeed... I expected the 10 second limit to last longer."

"Iida 10 seconds is 10 seconds. This isn't some anime where 10 seconds amounts to 5 episodes."

"I suppose you're right."

"... I'm just gonna... I'm just gonna throw you out now." With the wind knocked entirely out of Midoriya's sails, he just tossed Iida out of the ring to conclude the awkward ending to the match.

"The winner is Izuku Midoriya!" The crowd didn't know how to feel about that ending, and Midoriya honestly couldn't blame them.

'Man that was disappointing. Well that'll just make our rematch all the more... no that's terrible grammar. Our next battle will be great, let's settle with that.'

...

"... While that was disappointing, I must train harder to give Midoriya a better match next time!" Iida exclaimed, before reaching back for his phone, "But I should call my brother... though he'll probably laugh at me for getting eliminated so early..."

Wincing at the mental image of his brother laughing at him, Iida dialed his number.

...

...

*Click*

"Sorry, I'm—"

*Beep*

"He's busy, well I'll call him later." Iida said before depositing his phone into his pocket, "And besides..."

*Bzz* *Bzz* *CRACK*

"I shouldn't distract him with his work."

...

"Damn that was a disappointing ending." Ken muttered, "And it was kinda a kick ass fight too."

"I agree with the sentiment, however that instant burst of speed can be improved upon." Yanagi added, "And when it does, then Midoriya will have his hands full."

"I don't doubt that. So whose next on the chopping block?"

"I believe it was someone by the name of Hitoshi Shinso." Recalling the bracket, Yanagi turned towards Ken, "He's a General Studies student if I recall correctly."

"Yeah, but he's kinda a loner. Don't know anything about him... except the fact that he's kinda scrawny?" Ken then shrugged, "Either way it's nothing Deku can't handle, he should just mop the floor with him and move on. Save his energy."

"Indeed, that's what he should do."

...

...

"But he's totally not going to."

"Oh absolutely not."

'What's with this sudden friendship?!' Uraraka thought, immediately missing Asui after she left to wait for her match.

"But either way I don't know what his power is. For all I know he can be the strongest dude in the world, or has a Quirk that makes popcorn."

"Does it come with butter?" Uraraka asked, deciding to crack a joke.

"... Maybe he'll get an internship with The Cholesterol Hero: Butter Lady." Yanagi added.

"Honestly after Deku brought up The Enamel Heroine: Tooth Fairy, I can honestly see that being a real hero."

"Yeah." Uraraka said, internally fist pumping after her joke went over well.

"NOW IT'S TIME FOR THE NEXT ROUND! IZUKU MIDORIYA VS HITOSHI SHINSOU! BEGIN!"

"But either way we'll see—"

"MIDORIYA IS WALKING OUT OF BOUNDS?!"

The trio immediately looked at the ring to see Midoriya stumble towards the edge. "W-What the fuck?"

"YES!" Sero exclaimed, feeling happy that SOMEONE is posing a threat to him, "He's going to lose!"

But Yanagi ignored his cheers, 'But why...?'

'What is that boy doing?'

...

"BEGIN!"

'Alright, what does this dude do—"

"It's pretty impressive that you managed to beat all those people."

'What the hell is up with this guy? Talking in the middle of a battle—'

"GO PRIVATE! WIPE HIM OUT!"

'Hey, there's Armie—'

"But the peanut gallery is annoying. That little girl should shut up..."

'Oh hell no...' "The fuck did you just say—"

*Fwink*

"Gotcha, now, kindly walk off the edge." Shinso said, as Midoriya slowly turned around, "I may not be able to get past the other people in the way..."

"MIDORIYA IS WALKING OUT OF BOUNDS?!"

"I want to at least be acknowledged..."

...

'Damn it Private! This is why I haven't promoted you yet!' Armie yelled in her head, as she watched Midoriya get closer and closer to the edge, 'What do I do? How can I stop this? His power must be some kinda hypnosis... so maybe some kind of shock can do it? That must be it, but I left my drone at General Fat's base...'

...

...

"MIDORIYA IS RIGHT AT THE EDGE!"

'Damn it you're getting demoted for this!'

...

"And he's out—"

*BANG* *Thwack*

"DAH! Haah!" Suddenly knocked out of his stupor, Midoriya looked around frantically for what hit the side of his head... until his eyes landed on one person.

"HE STOPPED?!" Present Mic yelled in a frenzy, "BUT WHO DID THAT?!"

"Why are you getting louder and louder?"

"... Armie?" There stood Armie Buff... smoke erupting out of the gun barrel where her hand once was. She was shaking...

*Thud* *Tap tap tap*

Before she took off running, "A-Armie!" Midoriya ran after her—

"Stop Midoriya." But Midnight stopped him.

"What?!"

"If you take one more step, then you'll walk out of bounds. You will forfeit the match if you do."

...

...

"Nngh!" With a frustrated growl Midoriya charged up 22% of One for All—

*FWOOSH* *WHACK*

"Ghh!" And in one swift motion, punched Shinso right in the stomach.

*FWOOSH* *SLAM*

And sent him flying into the wall, "There, he's out of bounds." He said, before running away from the main stage.

'Now where did you go... Armie?'

...

Tracking down Armie wasn't difficult, just follow the trail of white liquid to a lonely locker room.

*SLAM*

"Armie!"

"S-Stay back Private Green!" There Armie was huddled in a corner, "I-I'm not—"

"Armie, what's going on?" Midoriya asked, sliding down next to her, "You shot me then ran, what's happening?"

"N-Nothing's wrong Private!"

*Sktch* *Sktch*

"Then why are you scratching your arm! You always scratch your arm when you lie!"

"I-I do not!"

*Sktch* *Sktch*

"See!"

"W-Well you can't call me out on something when you do it too!"

"Of course I do, I'm not an idiot!" Midoriya yelled back, "It just happens before I can realize that— Anyway that's not the issue here! What's going on? Why are you running? I thought your Quirk was white blood and not... not gun hands!"

...

...

"Armie—"

"I can trust you right? You won't run away right?!"

"Why are you asking—"

"Answer the question Private!"

...

...

"I-I'm sorry Private—"

"Of course you can trust me. After all we been through you're asking that now?"

...

...

"Armie—"

"Private..." Armie held out her hands, her skinless... mechanical hands.

"I'm... I'm not a real person."

*End of Chapter*

A/N: God damn was this a hard chapter to write. Two kicking characters one after another. And the worst part is that there was no other place for Iida or Pony's battle to be put... other than back to back. Since the Ingenium v Stain fight happened around now, and Pony's fight just didn't fit anywhere else.

But besides that Shinso... I'mma be honest, he had to be annihilated. People love Shinso, and I like him too... but I love Armie more.

Speaking of, this chapter was heavy on set up/explanations. We got an explanation on Quirk awakenings, a hint at how Personalities affect Quirks, aaand some very subtle (Not at all subtle) foreshadowing for future events.

But man writing Iida's and Pony's fight scenes were a bit of a pain, but now that the rut is over we got 3 fighters all with unique skillsets. And I'm excited to write them and be one step closer to finishing up the accursed Sports Festival.

Oh and Armie is a robot. Thought I'd... thought I'd bring that up again.
