[Congratulations! Out of the infinitely many souls in the vast Omniverse, you've been selected to become the next Gamer!]

Although my body seemed to be rather nonexistent, I could almost feel my eyebrows raise in skepticism.

The Gamer? I can only assume that you're some kind of snarky System AI and I've met an untimely demise?

[Indeed! You're quite clever!]

I decided to ignore the disembodied voice's words in favor of observing my surroundings.

So where exactly am I?

As far as the eye could see, there was nothing but a black, inky abyss, the darkness seemed to go on forever, stretching far beyond the scope of my sight.

[You are currently in between the planes of life and death, existence and nonexistence! This place has many names, among them are the Void, the Gloom, the Abyss, the Black, the End, and the Empty!]

So why am I here? Better yet, how did I end up here in the first place?

[You died! I thought you had already figured that out!]

To be honest, I was being sarcastic.

[Regardless of what you believe, it won't change the fact that you're dead! You were stabbed many times with a very sharp object!]

I attempted to remember the details of my death, but there seemed to be a gap in my memory. As I continued to rummage through my mind, I soon came to the realization that I couldn't remember anything. Although my knowledge remained unaffected, any sort of experiences and memories were gone.

Why can't I remember anything?

[When a new Gamer is selected, the memories of their previous existence are erased, so that they can better integrate with their new life! Despite this, you've proven yourself to be most unusual! At this point, most selectees vehemently refuse to believe that they've died!]

While I wasn't too pleased that my memories were wiped by a snarky super AI, I couldn't find the resolve to be very upset. Ultimately, any sort of knowledge that I possessed prior to my death, such as how to cook and prepare a salmon, remained readily accessible within my mind.

With the current state of the world and all, I'm not exactly upset at the prospect of a second chance at life with the added bonus of video game powers. With the pandemic still going on and those two shaky, old men having finally decided who's the president, I can safely say that I'm more than ready for a change of pace.

[You possess quite the interesting perspective! Are you ready to proceed?]

(Y/N)

I eyed the button for a brief moment before raising my intangible, left hand and pressing yes.

[Excellent! Please select a Race!]

《Human》 《Demon》 《Angel》

Well that's not a whole a lot of options. What sort of world am I going to exactly?

[The television series known as Supernatural!]

My mind froze in order to process what the System AI had said.

Oh joy! I can't wait to deal with a world where literal monsters exist and God is a deadbeat dad! I am so very fucked!

[Quite eloquently put! Although you still need to make a decision!]

I squashed the incredibly strong urge to trade insults with the AI.

Are there any subcategories that I should be aware of?

[Nope! Since this is your first playthrough, you're limited to the base options!]

So it's either human, black-eyed bastard, or basic flyboy huh? Not having a body would suck pretty hard, not to mention I'd probably have to obey the commands of the big cheese of Heaven or Hell if I was a 'lil ole devil or holy halo holder.

[So human it is then?]

Yeah, let's go with that.

[Great decision! As an optional choice, you can take a random flaw in exchange for a random trait!]

I thought about it for a couple moments.

Okay, would it be possible to take five traits at the same time?

[Yep! Just be warned that five traits means five flaws!]

Let's do it.

Trait(s) Gained!

[Lucky Bastard] - Increases the rate of loot drops, the likelihood of getting a good draw when using the gacha, and the chances of finding rare items.

[Natural Witch] - You were born with an innate talent for sorcery and witchcraft.

[Kin to the Colt] - You're a descendant of the greatest hunter to ever live.

[Lady Killer] - All Affection and Obedience gains with females are doubled.

[Genius] - You are extremely intelligent.

Flaw(s) Gained!

[Sweet Tooth] - You're addicted to chocolate.

[Daunting] - Your presence unnerves people.

[Greedy] - You have an insatiable desire for more.

[Marred] - You've been through more then most and have the scars to show for it.

[Intoxicating] - Your blood and flesh are extremely tasty to monsters and your scent stands out to them.

After a few moments of reading, I dismissed the multitude of messages.

Excuse me the fuck? How the hell is a chocolate addiction a flaw?

[Flaws can range from deadly weaknesses to mild inconveniences!]

Alrighty then.

While the traits I received seemed useful enough, the flaws were kinda odd.

The only ones that seem like they'd be any sort of actual inconvenience are 'Greedy' and 'Intoxicating'.

I decided to cease my pondering.

But there better be some kind of advantage to being Samuel's descendant other than having the fucker's last name.

[I assume you're done?]

Yeah.

[Okay! Welcome to the Game!]

I was unable to formulate any sort of response as my sight was overcome by a bright white light.

My eyes snapped open as I shot up from my bed.

Where the fuck-?

My thoughts were interrupted as two decades worth of memories were hammered into my head.

That. fucking. sucked.

At least I now knew where my relative current locale was: Farewell, Oregon.

Great, my residence is a city featured in a post-apocalyptic rpg. Can I safely assume that there are other changes to this world and it's history besides the name of a single town?

[Indeed! While this is the world of Supernatural, there are multiple differences, deviations, and changes to the canon!]

Once again, fucking great.

I took a deep breath, "Status."

Guess being raised as a hunter has it's perks

From what I could gather from my new set of memories, my early life consisted of being taught how to hunt the things that go bump in the night. Both my parents were hunters, despite this, my academic education was handled by my mother, who home-schooled me from kindergarten through high school, while my hunting lessons were primarily handled by my father. When I was sixteen, my magical talent manifested in the form of a telekinetic blast.

While my father seemed rather indifferent towards the development of my magic, my mother advised that I practice and make it a larger part of my repertoire. Unfortunately, my mother died around three years ago, not too long after we completed my high school curriculum. My father drowned his sorrows in alcohol and hunting, often taking me with him on his trips. Although as of eight months ago, he died whilst solo hunting a wendigo.

Can't say I miss him...

My hand reached towards my face as I traced a finger along the right side of my right eye, where I knew a nasty scar resided.

Right where dear old dad slashed me during one of his drunken rages.

I let out an audible sigh.

Didn't think something like a 'flaw' would have such an effect on my life.

I sat upright on my bed, reviewing memories as they slowly flooded my mind. Earlier, I had a passing glance as my experiences were painfully jammed into my skull. But now, memories trickled into my head, forcing me to see them in acute clarity and detail. What seemed like hours went by as I sat and poured over memory after memory. I saw everything from learning how to shoot a gun to sitting beside my bedridden mother. Eventually, I managed to stop reminiscing and calm myself down.

The past is the past, focus on the future.

After taking a deep breath, I climbed out of bed, walked towards my closet, and slid the door open. I then grabbed a pair of boots and a set of clothes from the floor before walking through my bedroom doorway, towards the bathroom. Upon entering the bathroom, I laid my clean clothes and boots on the toilet seat before proceeding to take a hot shower.

I shivered as the warm water slid down my back, the numerous scars across my arms and back almost seemed to tingle and itch. I set aside my somatic sensations and delved into my thoughts as my mind became abuzz with thoughts and questions. I knew that today's date was February 15, 2008, which mean't Dean hadn't been dragged to the pit by hellhounds, Lucifer hasn't risen from his cage, and the Apocalypse hasn't begun.

Dean's sentence to hell and his breaking of the first seal is what caused the resurgence of the angels, besides, the odds of finding a work-around to Dean's contract with the short time he has left is extremely unlikely.

Internally satisfied with my conclusions, I decided to not involve myself with the Winchesters or any Winchester-related business until late September or October, aka, around the time Sam and Dean first meet the angel Castiel. I then stepped out of the shower and dried myself off with a nearby towel. No longer wet, I grabbed my clothes from the toilet seat and got dressed.

As I was about to exit the bathroom, I couldn't help but take a gander at my reflection. Shoulder-length dirty blonde hair with a right part adorned my head, my eyes were a light shade of brown, and my skin was fairly light. Along the dextral of my right eye was a long, gnarly scar that was mostly concealed by my bangs and across the left side of my lips was a scar extending from my upper lip to just a bit past my lower lip.

Just one thing.

I grabbed a hair tie from the vanity and pulled my hair into a low ponytail.

Much better. Now, let's give this a whirl.

I exited the bathroom, ambled down the hall, into my living room, grabbed my keys from the wall hook, and walked out the front door. As I sauntered outside, my eyes landed upon one of my most prized possessions: a 1969 Ford Mustang.

[You've Acquired the Skill 'Analyze'!]

[Analyze].

[Ford Mustang]
Grade: Rare
Durability: 5000/5000
Description: A navy blue 1969 Ford Mustang.

Awesome.

A ping-ping sounded from my vehicle as I unlocked the door and climbed inside. After becoming situated, I shifted into reverse and pulled out of my driveway, onto the ill-kept road. Since my residence was around thirty miles from Farewell, near the mountainous forests of the state of Oregon, I was left to my own devices. In addition, storing hunting supplies and weaponry was much easier since there were no prying eyes within a thirty mile radius.

This should be far enough.

I turned onto the right side of the road, set the car in park, stepped out of my vehicle, and locked the doors. I then walked around to the back of the car and popped the trunk, though there was nothing inside but an empty space. Anyhow, I grabbed onto a small indentation at the bottom of the trunk and lifted, revealing a plethora of weaponry. Not exactly sure what to bring, I propped the false bottom up with a metal bar.

Inventory.

A window with many little, side-by-side boxes appeared, I counted the icons to fifty before deciding to stop. A few moments later, I decided to bring a Ruger SR1911, a Remington 870, a silver hunting knife, some 10mm Auto cartridges, two boxes of standard-issue twelve gauge, and a single cartridge of rock salt shells. Out of curiosity, I used [Analyze] on my chosen tools.

[Remington 870]

[The Skill 'Analyze' has increased by one level!]

Cool beans.

I then tossed the weapons into my inventory.

Wonder if my clothes do anything? Equipment.

The other windows closed as a new window with icons for my clothing appeared. The window displayed one icon over my head, two over my chest, two over each hand, one over my waist, and two over each foot. My white t-shirt and black denim jacket occupied the chest icons, faded blue jeans occupied the waist icon, and my white socks and dark brown boots occupied the feet icons.

I don't know whether to be confused or happy that undergarments aren't considered equipment.

Now properly prepared and mentally satisfied, I began walking forwards, deeper into the woods. After a couple minutes of aimless ambling, I halted any sort of movement.

This seems like a good spot. [ID Create].

The world seemed to freeze, the sounds of crickets and birds came to halt as the very wind ceased it's blowing; however, this odd phenomena quickly ended as the sounds of nature whirled to life, as if they had never been silenced in the first place. Despite the resuming of sound, the air seemed to hold a strange, new quality, as if it had been tempered in some way. My musings came to an abrupt end as something began rustling through the foliage in front of me.

I pried my pistol from my inventory as a rotting corpse sauntered through the bushes.

So this is a zombie ID? [Analyze].

So it doesn't have power, luck, or charisma huh? Guess that makes sense.

I aimed my Ruger at the zombie's head and pulled the trigger.

[Fatal Blow!]

The zombie fell backwards, a gaping hole in it's head.

Guess no health points means realistic damage.

More undead began to shamble through the foliage, stumbling towards me. I readied my gun and unloaded a single round into the heads of each approaching zombie.

[You've reached Level 2!]

Hell yeah!

[Quest Alert!]

Do you accept?

I pressed yes and proceeded to hunt down the multitude of undead within the Instant Dungeon. What seemed like a couple hours went by as I slaughtered scores of zombies, there was seemingly no end them; however, as I reloaded my Remington for what seemed to be the fifth time today, a loud shriek emanated throughout the forest.

[WARNING! BOSS BATTLE IMMINENT!]

Well shit-

The tree ahead of me was thrown aside as a tall and grotesque humanoid with grey skin barreled towards me.

WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT?!

As the wendigo bounded towards me, I quickly raised my hand and activated [Telekinesis], my body shook as I launched the beast backwards, managing to slam it through three trees.

[-700 MP!]

Now how the fuck do I make fire?!

The wendigo let out a earsplitting shriek as it began to make it's way towards me once again.

Fucking focus! [Telekinesis] was like extending an invisible appendage and then grasping the target, so [Pyrokinesis] should feel like some sort of a flamethrower?

I had no time to theorize as the wendigo was upon me once again, I attempted to dodge to the left as the beast brought it's claw down on my chest.

Fucking fuck that hurts like motherfucking bitch!

My last minute movement cost me my right arm as it now hung limp at my side, the wendigo's head tilted slightly, as if transfixed by my injury. I then held up my left arm and imagined a gout of flame bursting from my palm.

[You've Acquired the Skill 'Pyrokinesis'!]

The palm of my left hand glowed a fiery orange as a stream of flame burst forth from it.

Holy shit! That worked?!

The wendigo shrieked and screamed in pain as it was set ablaze and burned.

[Fatal Blow!]

[-500 MP!]

I sat on the ground and clutched my bleeding arm.

[ID Escape].

The sound of breaking glass emanated around me as the unseen pressure within the air vanished.

I used [Healing] on my arm until my MP was completely depleted.

Not pristine, but it's good enough.

I stood up and began the long trek back to my car.

A/N: That's the conclusion of chapter one! Hope it was a decent read! I've been intending to write this for a looong time, but things kept getting in the way. I had a bit of free time on my hands, so I finally managed to finish the first chapter. It's a bit rushed, but it's done. See ya next chapter!
