Birdo's eyes shot open with a seemingly electrocuting shock. She had been unconscious! And so had her friend Yoshi. She had just awoken, startled by her dream. But she only half knew if the trip to the forest was the dream or not. Her body was aching head to toe and she lay paralysed on her bed.
"Y-y-y-Yoshi!" She croaked, her voice feeble.
"Yes, Pinky?" he replied
"W-where are we?" she asked in fear
"Safe. We are in the castle," he reassured her, glad that they had been recued from the Boos.
They had recovered from their ambush in in the woods, and were now ready to enjoy some more memory making.
Down the hills they rolled, towards the fountain. They had noticed there was a new toad hut diagonal to the fountain. It was a Crazy Cap store, and it was run by the toad brigade. They clambered the metal stairs and headed in.
It was magnificent!
The walls were a vivid pink colour with a tinge of white, and the floor was an ocean blue colour, like it was made of diamonds. It was flabbergasting how all of this fitted right into the small scarlet toad hut! There was a changing cabinet, red in colour, and a counter where the two toads stood. Birdo had enough coins to buy something, but she was saving it all for a souvenir. Yoshi however had enough coins to buy a model of the castle and proudly bought the model.
"You can have it" Yoshi smiled, intent on her taking it.
"Sorry, but its yours." She moved his hand away.
As they continued on from the store, Birdo managed to take a glimpse of some berries. Now was her chance to try them! She spotted Yoshi running up to them, but she was not mean enough to stop him.
But Yoshi knew what she was thinking. He held it out.
The hand came nearer and nearer to the fruit, until it was in her hand. As soon as her fingers collided with the berry, she ravenously gobbled it up like a dog! Or Yoshi!
The moment of truth.
Her body sank down through the earth. She was floating through space, with her bed. The stars flew past her like soaring eagles, navigating the coal black night sky! The moon took a permanent gaze at her, and it smiled joyously. And she fell down further and further and further…
"Yoshi - it was – DELICIOUS!" she exclaimed.
There was a path winding down in that direction. Down the path a trail of berries snaked across it.
They munched and munched, and munched on. Her brain fuzzed with excitement after eating all of those berries. They had already eaten thousands, and they were at the end of the path. There was one more!
"Oh, God. I'm so full!" Yoshi sighed.
"So am I! I'm gonna explode! Birdo exclaimed.
They both neared the final one. Was it – moving?
They boosted their pace and went after the berry. Together they jumped after the ball of deliciousness!
SPLASH!
They both lay down, in the pond!
"HEY – I'M WET!" Yoshi shouted to the mischievous toad responsible for this prank.
"Hmmmmm." droned Birdo. "We are the troublesome twosome! We should be the ones doing pranks!" she screamed, ready for revenge!
"A Wario and Waluigi outfit and hat please" Yoshi requested nonchalantly.
Yoshi, in return, handed over nine thousand coins. Both outfits costed three thousand coins each and the hats costed half the price of the outfit. With the merchandise, they changed using the closet and clambered up the hills to the soon-to-be-pranked pranker.
"OOOOOH! A meaty snack!" Yoshi shouted at the toad in his best Wario voice.
"Yeah, I agree, bro. Who cares about the doctor's advice – don't eat people! Its lucky we ate him!" Birdo chuckled in her best evil Waluigi voice. She had got the inspiration from Wart's voice, sounds like a million belches!
"AAAAAAAAH!" the toad trembled in petrification. He ran to the castle like a Charging Chuck in a Koopa Troopa Car going over a supercharged dash block with a rocket flower!
BOOOM!
He burst into Mario and Luigi's room.
"Wario and Waluigi, outside!" he screamed.
Mario glimpsed of from their balcony with a brief shot.
"YOU DOOFUS! Its just Yoshi and Birdo!" Luigi shouted, frustrated at this guy's stupidity.
"Yeah, I knew that!" he chuckled cheesily!
Birdo and Yoshi walked away to their room. It was a creamy sunset, and they laughed of their prank all the way. This truly was the best prank ever!
