They were escorted down the corridor. They were literally being strangled in the Albatoss' grip. Birdo was fearful especially: Yoshi hadn't done anything wrong – but she had – she disobeyed Wart! Now they were going to meet him face to face!

The throne room door opened.

"Everyone else, out. I will only need Birdo and the other dinosaur!" Wart ordered imperatively.

The heartbeats of Birdo and Yoshi screamed like thunder.

"Ah. Ribbit. Now first of all, traitor. Who is the green one?" Wart asked with a wicked smirk on his face.

"Yoshi, my lord." Birdo whimpered.

"YOU PILE OF JUNK! NOT HIS NAME! HIS PURPOSE!" Wart exploded.

"He is – my – f-f-f-friend." She stuttered

"LIAR! He is your boyfriend, and falling in love with someone is the most life-changing act ever! And I said not to tamper with events in another world!" he corrected her.

"You are the only liar, you putrid frog! You tried to turn me against her. But you lied. You are a pile of junk!" Yoshi stood up to her.

There was a deafening silence.

"HOW DARE YOU SAY THAT TO ME, KING WART. IF YOU REALLY LOATHE ME SO MUCH, THEN WHY DON'T YOU FACE ME?" he ribbited with as much vehemence as when he discovered what Birdo was up to.

He retreated off his shimmering golden throne and raised his gargantuan bullfrog head. Out came ten grotesque bubbles of who knows what!

BOOM!

A huge turnip appeared right next to the Dream Machine.

"AAAAAAAAH! VEGETABLES!" Wart screamed ear achingly. Of course! He hated vegetables!

Yoshi and Birdo carried the tremendous turnip and threw it at Wart.

Suddenly, Wart collapsed onto his throne.

"Is he – dead?" Yoshi asked nervously.

"No," Wart replied.

"Oh, Ok then. Hang on - YOU ARE ALIVE!" she screamed.

Wart rose his bulky frog body from the throne. "One turnip can't stop me!" he snapped, and shot about fifty bubbles at Birdo.

"NOOOOOOO!" Yoshi shouted, and moved in the way of Birdo.

Yoshi collapsed.

Birdo's first friend had died. She felt guilt oozing up her body, through her crystal blue tears.

The depression had turned into guilt, and then into anger, then into rage, then into vehemence.

She charged at Wart.
