(This chapter takes place over three weeks from start to end)

King's Landing 298 AC.

Oberyn.

Were it not for Ellaria's arrival and that she brought their babes with them then he'd still be wallowing and grieving for his brother. Even despite what Doran had done, he was his blood, and Oberyn was the last of them now. He would, he could never have forgiven him for going against Elia's wishes or for what he had done while their sister lived. He had known about Elia and Fowler, that his sister cared for the man and wished him for her own was not news to him.

Yet he had never thought anything of the man's death other than knowing it had caused Elia pain. Had he then in his anger he may have become a kinslayer. When Jae had told him what he'd done, he'd breathed a huge sigh of relief, his nephew would have been well within his rights to see Doran dead, and yet he'd spared him. Only for the gods to decide that he needed to answer to them also for what he'd done.

Oberyn had drunk, he'd removed himself and barely done his duties, and that Jae and his girls knew to leave him be was something he was thankful for. Hearing she was here and had brought his girls with him had soon woken him up and Ellaria had both slapped him and hugged him bringing him back from where he had been. That Jae had then sat her at the high table, that he'd not allowed anyone to look at her as less than she was, only further proved that he was Elia's son in spirit, if not blood.

Now though they'd been asked to attend a private dinner, and Jae finally had the time to meet his girls properly. So as Ellaria dressed and made sure Elia and Obella dressed properly for once and as Sarella spoke to Tyene, Nymeria and Obara, he sat with Dorea and Loreza, both girls playing on the floor in front of him. To say it was a boon to his soul to see them so happy was like saying the sun would rise on the morrow he thought with a smirk.

"Papa, what is our cousin like?" Dorea asked.

"He is the king." Loreza told her and Oberyn chuckled.

"The Dragonking?" Dorea asked and Oberyn nodded.

"I thought he was the Wolfking?" Loreza asked confused.

"He is, a Wolf, a Dragon, and a Snake too." Oberyn said.

"Like us?" Dorea asked happily.

"Just like us." he said looking at them both.

Ellaria walked into the room already dressed and with Elia and Obella, all three of them in matching outfits, bar the more adult nature of his paramour's.

"Come girls, let me look at you both." Ellaria said as Dorea and Loreza stood up, their mother fixing their dresses and wiping Dorea's face where she'd somehow managed to get some dirt on her cheek.

As he stood up Ellaria looked to him, Oberyn making a show of turning around, his own clothing quickly garnering her approval. They walked to the King's Rooms, Ellaria holding their youngest girls by the hands while he walked with Elia and Obella, both of his older girls trying their best to look like their sisters. Ser Arthur and Ser Richard were the two Kingsguard on duty and as the door was opened, any attempt at pretense or being what they were not was soon lost once Loreza saw Ghost.

"Look papa, he's white, like the sands in the Water Gardens." his daughter said happily.

"Your grace." Ellaria said as Jae walked towards them, the frown on his nephew's face soon replaced by a smile when he hugged his aunt and knelt down to speak to Dorea and Loreza.

"Don't let his white fur fool you little snakes, he can get most unclean when he wishes." Jae said to giggles.

"Your grace." Dorea said with a curtsy that brought a smile to Ellaria's face.

"Call me Jae, or cousin." Jae said and Dorea didn't need to be asked twice.

The meal itself was to all their delights a Dornish one and though Jae seemed to suffer a little from the spices, Oberyn found he enjoyed the effort all the same. Though he did chuckle when it was Jae more so than even his two youngest girls who seemed to enjoy the sweets more, and also when he saw his nephew rush to give Ghost some water after Elia had given him some of her spiced chicken.

"I believe you promised me a song nephew." Ellaria said when the meal was done and Jae looked slightly flushed for a moment.

"I did write one, aunt, but I must admit that while I had intended it to be about all my cousins, it may perhaps not be suited for the younger ones just yet."

"And yet I'd like to hear it still." Ellaria said and Jae looked to him to see him nod before Jae got up and walked to one of the other rooms. Soon returning with a harp as his girls looked on eagerly, none more so than Elia.

"I wrote this song for all of my cousins, one day I had hoped it would suit you all." Jae said and Oberyn saw Tyene and Nymeria, even Obara much to his surprise all look eager for him to begin.

I dream of rain (Ya lili ah ya leel)
I dream of gardens in the desert sand
I wake in pain (Ya lili ah ya leel)
I dream of love as time runs through my hand

I dream of fire (Ya lili ah ya leel)
Those dreams are tied to a horse that will never tire
And in the flames (Ya lili ah ya leel)
Her shadows play in the shape of a man's desire

This desert rose (Ya lili ah ya leel)
Each of her veils, a secret promise
This desert flower (Ya lili ah ya leel)
No sweet perfume ever tortured me more than this

And as she turns (Ya lili ah ya leel)
This way she moves in the logic of all my dreams
This fire burns (Ya lili ah ya leel)
I realize that nothing's as it seems

I dream of rain (Ya lili ah ya leel)
I dream of gardens in the desert sand
I wake in pain (Ya lili ah ya leel)
I dream of love as time runs through my hand

I dream of rain (Ya lili ah ya leel)
I lift my gaze to empty skies above
I close my eyes
Her rare perfume is the sweet intoxication of her love

I dream of rain (Ya lili ah ya leel)
I dream of gardens in the desert sand
I wake in pain (Ya lili ah ya leel)
I dream of love as time runs through my hand

Sweet desert rose (Ya lili ah ya leel)
Each of her veils, a secret promise
This desert flower (Ya lili ah ya leel)
No sweet perfume ever tortured me more than this

Sweet desert rose (Ya lili ah ya leel)

This memory of Eden haunts us all

This desert flower

This rare perfume is the sweet intoxication of the fall.

Oberyn looked to his girls as Jae played out the last notes, Tyene and Nymeria and even Sarella were looking away, trying not to be seen wiping their eyes. Sarella was smiling as was Elia and Obella while Dorea and Loreza seemed to have enjoyed it, if not understanding it. Ellaria was weeping openly, her tears falling and as he looked to Jae he saw him look worriedly only for his paramour to wipe her eyes and shake her head.

"Thank you, Jae, that was beautiful, a worthy song for our girls." Ellaria said and Jae nodded, getting up and carrying the harp away to groans from his youngest.

Oberyn looked to Ellaria who was smiling now, her eyes still wet and he felt the same as she did. For his girls there was no better way to describe them, Desert Roses indeed he thought. That he knew how Jae thought of his mother, the Winter Rose, and his wife, the Golden One, only making the song mean that little bit more to him and Ellaria too, knowing he saw their girls in the same way. When he came back though Jae seemed nervous and Oberyn looked to see him holding two pieces of parchment in his hand.

"Jae?" he asked looking to the paper.

"I..don't know how you may feel about this uncle, so if I've overstepped or if it's not something you desire then please understand it's not meant as a slight." Jae said his voice soft and low.

"Jae?" Ellaria asked and Jae handed her and then him a piece of parchment each.

He looked down on it and felt his heart race, turning to look to Ellaria to see her tears threatening to fall once more,. Tears that did once he handed her the parchment he'd been reading and his own almost coming once he read her own one. That he had legitimized his girls was unexpected, he'd not even hoped for it and yet he really should have knowing his nephew. That he had done so to Ellaria too really was a surprise and yet further proof that he saw her as he had always shown he did.

"I don't know what to say, nephew." Oberyn said.

"You..you take no offence?" Jae said shakily.

"Father?" he heard Sarella asked and he watched as Ellaria handed her the paper.

"You would name us Martell's?" Nymeria asked surprised.

"You are and have always been Martell's regardless of the name you carry." Jae said making him smile "Should you wish it then from now on you are to be addressed as such."

He nodded, as with anything with his girls he'd let them choose what they wished, to remain as Sands if that was their choice or to bear his family's name. Ellaria would choose to be her father's daughter, she'd wish for their children to bear his name, he knew that and was thankful for the chance to see it done.

"I thank you, Jae, for me, for Ellaria, for my girls." he said and Jae looked at him.

"For our family, uncle."

"For our family." Ellaria said with a smile and he nodded.

Kings Landing 298 AC.

Ser Richard Lonmouth.

He and the king had talked about his plans for the realm and even Richard was stunned to hear the extent of them. A standing army, an almost cutting up of the Kingdoms. True the main Great Houses who had supported him wouldn't be adversely affected, yet it would cause some concern no matter what. Like others, he had been concerned about Dragonstone, for so long it was the seat of the crown prince, and yet again what Jae said made perfect sense.

The larger a force House Targaryen could count on that was completely loyal to them above all, the more secure they were. He did chuckle at the idea of them being unsecured also, given that they had five dragons with riders, and their king walked around with a giant Direwolf by his side and could do things that boggled even Richard's mind. Not to mention he was about to be married into the Reach, had Dorne's full support, especially now with Doran gone, and was a son of the North and the West.

But as Jae had explained it to him, he found his reasoning to be even more sound regardless of the dragons. His king was right, had they had a garrison large enough at Dragonstone then they could have been called to the Trident. One more large house coming from the other direction may have been enough to end the rebellion then and there. Jae intended to have more than one he thought with a smile, still it was other matters on his mind as he walked to the Red Keep.

Jae wished him to sit in as he spoke to Lord Royce and to Asha Greyjoy and Richard himself had news he wished to share with the king, news he felt he'd be most pleased about and that would remove one final threat. Arriving he was met by the new Royal Guard, men of the hundred who had pretty much taken over the workings of the Red Keep. While there was still a household guard beneath them, Ser Bonifer's men were everywhere, something again which pleased him greatly.

"Ser Richard." he heard a voice call out and turned to see the man himself walking towards him, Ser Bonifer wearing a smile which had become all too familiar on his face lately.

"Ser Bonifer, how fares you?"

"Good. Ser Richard, confused but good." Bonifer said his smile having not left his face.

"Bon?" he asked once the man reached him.

"Prince Aemon, Richard. His grace asked me to teach his uncle some with a sword and while he's a novice, he does show potential."

"Yet there is some issue?" he asked.

"It's just confusing to see him, to know who he is, him, and the Princess Shiera." Bonifer said.

"Aye, I know, I don't truly understand it and I've seen our king do some incredible things. I know it's magical, Bon, as are the dragons that fly or the other things the king has done."

Bonifer looked at him, his face pensive as if he was about to say something to him and yet was worried either how Richard would react or how what he'd ask would make him sound. It took a moment and then whatever reluctance Bonifer had seemed to be outweighed by his curiosity.

"His grace came upon me speaking with the princess, speaking about her mother, Dany was both happy and upset to hear some of the stories. I had just been speaking to her on the tourney, Richard, where I crowned Rhaella and the princess said what a sight that must have been."

"Aye, I can imagine." he said with a smile.

"His grace overheard and said something strange, something unbelievable." Bonifer said as his voice hushed to almost a whisper "He said if we wished he could show us that day, let us see it,I..I..Richard is such a thing even possible?" Bonifer asked with a note of hope in his voice.

"Aye, it is, the Glass Candles, Bon, I'll speak no more of them here, but if his grace told you he'd show you it, then he'll show it to you both, did he say when?"

"After the wedding." Bonifer said sounding much more excited now.

"Then it's something to look forward to is it not?" he said with a smile and a nod both of which Bonifer returned.

Leaving Bonifer behind he walked through the keep and to the King's rooms finding Ser Barristan and Ser Loras on duty at the door. He knocked and was bid entry and found the king sitting at his desk. Jae was looking over some papers and making some notes, after being bid to take a seat, he waited until the king looked his way.

"Your grace."

"Richard, sorry, bloody paperwork, who knew ruling meant signing your name over and over again." Jae said with a chuckle.

"No wonder Robert drank so much." he said to a laugh.

"Lord Yohn, Richard?"

"A moment if I may, Jae. I received this from one of my lips in the Vale, from the Fingers." he said and Jae looked unsurprised.

"Littlefinger and Lady Catelyn." Jae said and he nodded.

"They are preparing to leave, Jae, Essos I believe given the ship that awaits in Gulltown

"They're leaving from there?" Jae asked surprised now.

"Aye, we can take them, your grace, Lord Gerold Grafton would be only too happy to give us the use of some of his men and I have bards at the ready." he said looking to the king.

He watched as Jae got quiet, his fingers drumming the table as he seemed deep in thought before finally, he nodded.

"Alive Richard, alive and unharmed." Jae said.

"Both of them?"

"If possible, Aye."

He found himself excited to bring them both in, Littlefinger especially. The man had breathed the air of a free man for way too long and his time was long overdue. Had he been allowed to then Richard would have seen the man dead the moment he learned about his plots against the king. He knew that he would enjoy seeing the man fall, greatly.

"Lord Royce?" Jae asked.

"A good man, a bit stiff and unyielding at times, but one who lives by his word. I know he never liked your family, Jae, even back before Aerys had Ser Kyle killed."

"Was he working against us?" Jae asked and Richard shook his head.

"I doubt it directly, but ask him and I've no doubt he'd speak truthfully on it."

"He never drew arms, Richard, unlike some of the others, he never drew arms and while there were others like Lord Grafton and Lord Redfort who did not, they don't have the strength to be Lord, do they?"

"No."

"I'll name Lord Grafton as my Vale Envoy and depending on our meeting with Lord Royce, him as Lord and my Warden. What of Ser Harrold?"

"You could do as Visenya did." Richard said with a chuckle.

"I don't have the hair for it, but Shiera or Dany could do it no doubt." Jae said with a small laugh "I intend to send him this." Jae said handing him the raven scroll which he read and looked back to him.

"And should he not accept?"

"Then after I take his head, the Eyrie will become a seat for House Targaryen." Jae said and Richard smiled.

It was a decent enough offer, he could keep his seat and pay increased taxes and see his lands reduced or he could lose his head, either way, he was losing something. Richard heard the knock at the door and moved to another seat, sitting back as Ser Barristan walked in and took up position behind the king. Ser Walder taking his spot at the door as Lord Royce arrived a few moments later.

The Lord of Runestone looked nervous for once and Richard watched as his king stared him down for some time, smirking when it was Lord Yohn and not Jae who turned his eyes away.

"Your Liege Lord and King conspired to remove my family from their rightful place, Lord Royce. Before Harrenhal, before my grandfather, before they truly had any reason to do so. They used my father and mother to create a spark, used my uncle to create a reason, and used his and my grandfather's deaths to justify a rebellion."

"As I've been told, your grace, as it has become clear to me." Lord Royce said softly.

"And your part?" Jae asked.

"Your grace?" Yohn said confused.

"You bore no love for my family did you, my lord?"

"No, I did not your grace. Your grandfather's condition was well known to me, so aye, I held no love for your family. At Harrenhal I saw what your father had done as shameful." Yohn said and Jae glared at him forcing the lord to speak quickly "Though I had no true understanding of things, your grace."

"No, you did not." Jae said angrily "Did you conspire against my family, my lord,? On your oath, I'd know your part before we speak further, but rest assured Lord Royce, Robert Baratheon, Jon Arryn thought their crimes a secret and yet I know them all, so think carefully before you speak."

"At Harrenhal, your grace, we discussed your father's actions." Yohn said.

"We?" Jae asked.

"Lord Arryn, Ser Elbert and I, as I said I thought them shameful and Lord Jon used them as an excuse to paint your father as being like your grandfather. That your Grace is the extent in my part before the rebellion began. When it did I rose with my liege on what I believed were rightful grounds. Your grandfather had called for the heads of Robert and of your uncle, he'd also called me to come to court and answer for what my nephew had done."

"Ser Kyle?" Jae asked and Yohn nodded.

"Aye. His father was long since past and the boy almost mine own son, I was called to answer along with your grandfather and many other men, unlike them, I did not and am still here today."

"And so you rose?" Jae asked.

"And so I rose, your grace."

Richard watched as Jae seemed to go silent, as he looked at Lord Royce, and as he saw the Bronze Lord look a little uncomfortable in his seat.

"Now that you know the truth of things, my lord. Just like you found out the truth about me and who I was, would you have marched back or marched to war if you could go back to then?"

"I'd have marched to see your grandfather removed, your grace. Be that through your father had I known or through my liege lord, I cared not. I sought justice for my nephew, who gave it to me mattered little."

There was again silence for some time and Richard looked to Barristan who though stone-faced looked almost to be about to chuckle.

"I can find no fault in your actions, Lord Royce, not then or now." Jae said to a surprised gasp from Lord Yohn.

"Your grace?"

"My uncle, Lord Jaime, Sers Barristan, and Ser Arthur, have all taught me much about honor, Lord Royce. I respect it, try to aspire to it, yet it is not what guides me. So before I say why I've asked you here, I'll make one thing perfectly clear."

"Of course your grace."

"My family has suffered betrayals in the past, my lord, but unlike them, I have the means to sniff it out long before it becomes an issue. You remember what they used to say about Lord Bloodraven?"

"A thousand eyes and one." Yohn said shakily.

"Aye, well just like my kinsman, my eyes see everything, my lord. So I'll ask you on your honor to swear your fealty to me here and now and I'll accept it as your word and oath. Should I find out you've lied then…I've already seen to two Great Houses being brought low, I have no issue doing so with another."

Richard watched as Lord Yohn stood up and went to take his sword from its scabbard, Ser Barristan moving his hand on his own in a warning, and yet the Bronze Lord was allowed to remove his blade. Kneeling in front of them he looked to the king who was standing now.

"I swear fealty to his Grace Jaehaerys Targaryen, to his House and its descendants, from this day and for all days. My House swears itself in perpetuity to your own, your grace, I will come when called and rule by your order, from this day until my last."

"I accept your fealty my lord, now sit while we discuss your future."

Kings Landing 298 AC.

Asha.

When she had seen her brother she had been amazed he'd lived through what he had, and then she slapped him hard in the face before she hugged him. Hearing what he had done was not a surprise to her but it only proved that he had learned nothing from his time in the North, nothing at all. Had he actually violated the girl and made her his salt wife as he said he would, then the Iron Island would be no more. The Starks would have come and come hard and they'd not have stopped at the gates of Pyke this time.

That the girl was not yet ten nameday's old made her for the first time ashamed to call him her brother. Yet as she sat in her cell later on it wasn't that which preyed on her mind. It was just how fucked they were and just how fucked the Iron islands may soon be. It would have been bad enough for Theon to despoil a daughter of House Stark, the North, the Riverlands probably even the West would all have come for them. To despoil the sister of the Dragon King, she shuddered as she imagined Pyke looking like Harrenhal.

They'd treated her well since she was brought here though, far better than she had been in Winterfell, and being away from men who mocked her was something she appreciated. After she'd fallen at Deepwood Motte, they'd brought her to the home of the Starks and mocked her almost every step of the way. While being their prisoner she'd been cold, hungry, tired, and mocked daily too. Yet here she was treated far better. It perplexed her and though she welcomed warm food, a warm enough bed, and guards who simply did their job. She wondered what their plans for her were, something she was finally about to find out.

"Come." the guard said simply and she looked at him as she lay in her bed "Now."

She got up and was immediately chained, something she'd not been since she'd been brought here. Four guards led her down a corridor and she looked at the cells around her seeing they were full. They led her up some stairs and down a much nicer corridor and soon she realized she was in the Red Keep proper now. When she saw the men in red and black cloaks, their armor shining in the light impressed her, yet it was the men in white ones who truly stood out.

Kingsguard, she was being taken to see the king or queen, and she felt herself suddenly get very nervous. One of the guards said something and a giant of a man then took her by the arm and led her into a room. Sitting to one side an older man looked at her with curiosity in his eyes. While standing behind a table an even older grey-haired man wore a white cloak and held his hand on his sword's hilt, his meaning clear. Yet it was the young boy who sat at the desk she soon focused on.

He could be not more than five and ten, maybe even less and though he was a bit smooth and clean-shaven for her tastes, he was a handsome boy she thought. His long dark hair fell below his shoulders and was almost a dark black and his eyes which were staring at her were the darkest grey she had ever seen. That he was smirking irked her, though she was in no position to complain.

"Have you eaten, drank?" the boy asked.

"No." she said.

"Your grace." the Grey Haired man said glaring at her.

"No, your grace." she said and she saw the man nod to the older man who sat to the side and watched as he got up and walked to the door.

"Take a seat." the king said and she did as she was bid.

That the boy said nothing once she did made her nervous, his eyes seeming to look deeply into her own as if he was trying to look into her very soul. It was discomfiting and a look she'd not expect on a boy so young, and one that went on until the food was brought. She was given no knife to cut her food and so she ate the leg of chicken and the bread with her bare hands, swallowing the ale greedily as the boy looked on and smirked.

"What news have you heard from your islands?" the king asked once she was done.

"None your grace." she said and noticed him look a little sadly at her.

"Then I'm sorry to tell you that your father is dead, my lady."

"You lie." she said laughing, though the boy did not "How?"

"He fell from the bridge that connects your keep." the older man off to the side said and she laughed, shaking her head.

"Now I know you lie." she said and yet again she was the only one who laughed.

"That's the story, my lady, Whatever the truth of how it happened, your father is dead, and a Kingsmoot's been called."

"Theon.." she began only for the king to raise his hand and she found it enough to quieten her much to her surprise.

"I'll speak on your brother in a moment. Your uncle's both seek to wear the Driftwood Crown, Victarion and Euron."

"But…"

"Aye, there's the rub." the king said smiling while looking at her "There is but one king and you face him now, I'll deal with your uncles soon enough, for as long as they stay on your islands, they can wait."

"You intend to use dragons against my people?" she asked horrified.

"I intend to bring my kingdoms to heel, my lady. How I do so depends on the resistance I face. Now I wish to know what part you'll play in seeing me achieve the former and whether or not you'll seek to limit the latter."

"Your grace?" she asked her confusion clear.

"Your brother tried to rape my sister, Lady Greyjoy. That he lost his manhood for it is not punishment enough, was that his only crime I'd still take his head but he was also a hostage to your father's good behavior and yet he ran and sought to break the oath that bound him. No matter what we speak on this day, no matter what we agree, your brother will lose his head, that is certain, his fate is inevitable, yours is not."

Hard as it was to hear she had expected it. She felt sorrow, heartbreak even at the idea of Theon's death but there was little she could do about it and while she may hate the man in front of her for taking his life, she couldn't in good faith say he didn't deserve it. It was the rest of what the king suggested that she was now having trouble understanding, why he was suggesting it most of all.

"You wish to name me, Lady of the Iron Islands?" she asked almost Incredulously when the king finished speaking.

"I will name you as such if you swear fealty, my lady. I will see the Iron Islands back as one of my kingdoms and I offer you the chance to be the one to rule. I make this offer but the once, your uncle's will kneel or fall, and by the time I see to either I'll leave you and your people in no doubt what will happen should you rise again." the king said looking at her, his dark grey eyes full of determined focus.

She found herself gulping at how he said it, and then a moment later found herself on her knees swearing her fealty. Once she did she was told that she'd be moved from her cell and given some freedom around the keep, a looser chain so to speak was all she was being offered for now.

"May I speak to my brother, spend some time with him, before…before his time?" she asked pleadingly.

"You may, but know this Lady Greyjoy, I've given you a chance, and I'll give your people one too. One, that's all, should you try to free your brother than your head will join with his and your islands will suffer because of it. It won't be Pyke I fly my dragon to first, it'll be Harlaw. Your mother and the Reader will be the first to feel Rhaneix's flames, don't test me on this, you'll find I've not the time or inclination to offer any second chances."

Inside she glared at him, felt her hatred rise, and then as quickly as it did it was gone, Theon was lost anyway, and the rest would only happen if she acted in bad faith, something she had no intent to do. Even were it not for the offer, or to save her people from a dragon's flames, she had her own reasons why she'd accepted the king's offer. As bad as they'd suffer under a dragon's rage. They'd suffer even worse with the Crow's Eye in charge and she and Theon would die along with every other Iron Born if Euron was allowed to rule.

"You have my oath, your grace, I swear fealty to your grace and your house, from this day to my last, I swear my house to yours. On the Drowned God I swear it." she said and as the king nodded she was led from the room.

King's Landing 298 AC.

Margaery.

She sat with Sansa, Mira, Elinor, and Megga, all of them looking over their dresses and going over their duties for the wedding itself. They would walk behind her as her father led her to the High Septon and then leave her when Jae arrived. It was strange to think that unlike when her mother and even her grandmother had been wed, it would be she who waited for her husband and not the other way around. Margaery had been taken aback when she'd been told, not understanding for a moment until her grandmother had explained that a king didn't wait for anyone, even a queen.

That it gave her ladies a larger role though was something she appreciated, almost as much as they did given how they were speaking about their dresses. No expense had been spared and her father was spending a great deal of coin on the wedding itself. There would be no dowry, something that Jae had refused and had instead asked for it to be placed at her use if they wished it so. So her father had then insisted, to her grandmother's delight no doubt, that he would pay for the wedding.

It was a small price to pay for a crown she thought, not that she particularly saw it that way but she knew her grandmother and father would to some extent. So the dresses that her ladies would wear had cost a great deal, more so than even Sansa would spend on such, the material being the very best that coin could buy. That they were in the colors of her house wasn't an issue and Sansa especially looked incredible in green and gold to Margaery's eye.

However, she couldn't help but feel that in some way she was doing nothing. True she was making sure the preparations for the wedding, the feast, and the upcoming tourney all went off without a hitch. Meanwhile, her husband was speaking on matters of state, sorting out kingdoms, and naming new Lord Paramounts and Wardens. Jae had spoken to her about each decision, had accepted her input and she'd seen little changes made. He's also held off from publicly naming them and holding the ceremonies where they knelt and pledged fealty, allowing them to do so privately until then. Yet her days felt a little empty and she wished to do more, to participate more, and to be seen to do so.

"Margaery?" Sansa said and she shook her head and looked at her friend.

"What? Sorry, Sansa, I was elsewhere."

"Thinking of her husband to be no doubt." Elinor said with a giggle.

"Or mayhaps her wedding night." Megga added getting a smirk and then a frown from her in return.

"I was saying, after the ceremony itself, the feast, must we all dance?" Sansa asked and Margaery found herself shaking her head, knowing why she was bringing that up here.

"I must, anyone else is free to keep to their seats if they wish, Sansa."

"Why would…" Megga said but stopped when she glared at her.

"Good." Sansa said smiling and had she been alone with her then Margaery would have hugged her for her thoughtfulness.

"Out, little hens, you too Sansa, it's time for my granddaughter to have a more worthy conversation." her grandmother said as she and her mother entered the room.

"We'll speak later." she said quietly and Sansa nodded as she got up from her seat, hurriedly leaving the room after the others.

Her mother came over and sat down beside her, her grandmother sitting on the other side and she wondered what this conversation they'd deemed so necessary was to be about.

"I spoke to your mother on what you and Jae told me about your plans regarding an heir." her grandmother began.

"Are you sure this is what you wish, Margaery? While there is danger in birthing a babe, you'll have the best care, Gormon is most capable and he is our kin." her mother said and Margaery looked to her grandmother and then to her mother.

"It is mother, I wish to spend time with my husband, just the two of us, to grow into our roles both as king and queen and as man and wife. I know the importance of an heir, as does Jae, but we are young, we have time, do we not?" she asked worriedly as she looked to her mother's face.

"Of course you do Sweetling, your grandmother is right, some people may speak, but she assures me that Jae feels the same way as you?"

"He does, mother." she said emphatically.

"Then that is all that matters, my love. I've spoken to Gormon and he'll prepare you a little something to take in the mornings after you and…"

Margaery saw her grandmother roll her eyes at her mother's embarrassment and yet she found it incredibly sweet and so rolled her eyes at her grandmother in return. The resulting smirk one which showed her grandmother's pride.

"Moon tea?" she asked.

"A variation of it, Gormon's own recipe and one he says has fewer issues than moon tea."

"The wedding night itself, Margaery." her grandmother began and she found herself blushing as she spoke on things that Margaery's mind had been imagining for so very long.

By the time she was done speaking and her mother had added her own advice, Margaery was perhaps redder in the face than she had ever been. Even the small book she'd been given didn't cover as much as her mother and grandmother had. That they repeatedly suggested, actually quite enthusiastically she felt, just how much pleasure could be gained for the marriage bed made her look at her mother and father quite differently during dinner that night.

When Jae came to her room, she welcomed him inside and though his hands had not traveled to where they had when last they were alone, she made do with his kisses and the thoughts of what was to come. As they lay there she looked at his face as he rested on her chest, his eyes looking into her own and she bit her lip before asking the question she would never have dared before today.

"Do you…us, Jae, do you think of us together, of us..laying together?" she asked and he looked at her so intently that she felt the need to look away, feeling his hands on her face as he turned her back to look at his own.

"Truly?" he asked and she nodded "Far too often." he said making her laugh.

"Good." she said with a smile on her face as he kissed her cheek.

They spoke about her day and his and she noticed him frown when she spoke of the wedding itself, which made her wonder for a moment if she'd said or done something wrong.

"Jae?" she asked

"This waiting for me, whose idea was that?" he asked.

"I..my grandmother suggested it, she said it's the protocol, that a king cannot wait for anyone." she said and was surprised when he snorted.

"Bloody protocol be damned"

"Jae, we can't"

"We can and we will, you are to be my queen, I'll not have you treated as lesser than any woman, not even for the damnable protocol. When we married in the Godswood I waited for you and I'll wait for you here also. I'd wait for you forever, I've waited for you for so long already, I can surely wait in the Sept." he said and she laughed before kissing him deeply.

Over the next few days, she changed the arrangements and made it so her ladies would walk with her down the aisle. Once they di they would then take their seats and with that sorted she threw herself into seeing to every little detail. The night before the ceremony itself was a long one, Jae had come to see her earlier that day, and then as per her mother's instructions, the next time they'd see each other would in the Great Sept itself.

She was blessed by the High Septon before taking to her bed and try as she might she couldn't sleep, it was only the scratching at her door which allowed her to think that she might. Putting on her gown, she moved and opened it to find Loras smirking as Ghost looked her way. She stuck her tongue out at her brother, very unqueenlike she thought, and let the wolf into her room. Snuggling up beside him on her bed as she fell to sleep for the last night as Margaery Tyrell.

The Wedding.

Olenna.

She could barely eat such was her giddiness at what was to happen today. Even though Jae had married Margaery and considered her his wife from many years earlier, today it would be official in the eyes of the faith and the realm. Her granddaughter would be the queen of the seven kingdoms, all her dreams and hopes finally coming true. That she wasn't the only one who didn't have a full appetite was clear too. Sansa, Willas, Garlan, Alerie, Loras barely touched their food, even Mace had barely been able to finish his meal.

Margaery, on the other hand, showed no such nerves, her granddaughter was perhaps the most excited of them all and for that Olenna was more than grateful. Yet she cleaned her plate and even ate a little more once she'd done so. She couldn't help but smile as she watched her eat the grapes, all around her they were each trying hard to keep themselves calm and Margaery just seemed to almost give off an air of being above it all.

After it was clear she'd not finish her own meal, she left to get dressed and once she had she then made her way to her granddaughter's room. Seeing her standing there, the dress on, the image she presented, her tears came unbidden. That they were happy tears mattered not, it was rare she showed such emotion and when Margaery saw her it clearly worried her golden rose.

"Grandmother, what's wrong?" Margaery asked concernedly.

"Nothing, oh Sweetling, nothing at all, forgive an old woman her joy, please on this day above all." she said and felt her granddaughter's arms wrap around her.

"I'm happy, you're so happy, grandmother." Margaery whispered and she found herself chuckling as she repeated it back to her.

"As am I, you, my child."

The wait for the carriages to be ready, for Mace to come and collect Margaery and the walk to the carriages themselves felt like an age, though it was perhaps no more than a few moments. Olenna could see in Alerie's eyes, then in Mace's when he arrived, that both her gooddaughter and son were feeling just how she was.

"Oh, Margaery, you look…" Mace said and she thought he was going to blubber and cry once Margaery hugged him, that he didn't was something she was proud of him for, and even had he then she'd have doubted she'd have chided him for it, not today.

She walked with Loras who held her arm, Sansa and Willas, and Garlan and Leonette in front of her. Alerie was being led by Ser Baelor who had come to represent his father who was ill. In front of them, Mace walked with Margaery, Ser Arthur, and Ser Walder by their side and she smiled at that. Jae may not have been able to send the Lord Commander, yet he'd made sure that the realm would know how he valued his new queen.

The ride to the Great Sept was a comfortable one and though Margaery wished to answer the cheers they received, she convinced her to stay inside the carriage and they kept the windows shut until they got there. Once they did, though there was no way her granddaughter wasn't going to address the crowd and hearing them chant and cheer her name, Olenna felt her tears threaten to fall once more.

"Hail Queen Margaery"

"The Golden Rose."

"Margaery Targaryen."

"Good Queen Margaery."

Olenna could have simply taken it in for the rest of the day, and perhaps would have if Margaery herself had not almost pushed her inside. Her granddaughter's eagerness to be wed boding well for the future. Once inside she quickly took her seat and looked to see Jae standing at the front of the Sept waiting just as eagerly as Margaery was it looked to her eyes. The smile she gave him was as true as any she'd ever worn and she was glad to see it returned.

Alerie.

Her daughter was to be wed, married to a good man and though he wore a crown and was a king, it was that most of all which filled her with such good cheer this day. She had liked Jae from the moment she'd met him. How he was with Loras and how well her son had spoken of him, all her sons really. That her daughter also favored him and he, her, was clear to her for many a year. Yet she had for the longest time thought it to be a crush and nothing more.

Olenna coming to her and speaking on the boy, hearing it then from his own lips as to who he really was and seeing it truly, seeing just how much he really cared for her daughter, that meant the world to her. She cared not for politics, for growing strong as her goodmother would put it, true she wished the very best for all her children, good matches and a good future too. But more than anything she wished them happy, Garlan had found it in his own wife, Willas seemed to have found it a little with young Sansa, and Loras with his gaining of a white cloak.

Margaery though was her pride and joy, her only girl and she had always wished she'd find something of the same love that she'd found with her own husband. The realm may at times look down on Mace and he could be terribly silly far too often, but her husband was a good man and true. He'd given her four children that any mother would be proud of and a good life and more than any of that he'd given her his heart. That he'd given completely and without asking for anything but her own in return.

Looking to Jae standing at the steps, to the High Septon, and to the rest of the people watching, she felt that despite his obvious differences from Mace, in that respect he was more like him than any other man she knew. She smiled remembering what her daughter had told her just that morning. Before Olenna or anyone else had arrived and she'd asked her if she was truly happy, if this was what she wished for, Margaery had left her in no doubt.

"I've wished for him and him alone since the first time we danced, mother. Though I knew it not at the time, when I offered him my hand, it held my heart in it, as did his own when he reached out to take it."

"You love him truly." she said smiling.

"I do, king or not, trueborn or not, I would wish him for my own no matter what. The realm may see a king and queen marry today, I won't and neither will my husband."

"What will you see, sweetling?" she asked and Margaery smiled.

"I'll see a girl marrying the boy she loved, I'll see Just Jon and he'll see Just Margaery, as we've always seen when we look to each other."

The smile on her face was beaming, just as her daughter's had been, and as she heard the doors open she noticed no one looked more eagerly towards them the man her daughter was soon to wed.

Mace.

As the others went inside he stayed outside with Margaery and the Kingsguard. Even though they were out of view, the cheers were just as loud and it was his House too which was being cheered along with his daughter's name now. Yet they were just noise to him, his focus was on his little girl in front of him, his golden rose and soon to be his queen, and he couldn't be prouder of any of his children than he was right then.

"It's almost time." Ser Arthur said and he barely heard the man, Margaery nodding instead of him.

"Father, are you well?"

"Aye, I am, more than well." he said trying to smile "By the seven I don't think there's ever been a more beautiful bride, Margaery, none, not even the Targaryen's themselves have ever looked as good as you this day."

"Thank you father, for everything." Margaery said as she smiled at him.

"I'm so happy, my love, to see you be what you were born to be, I had thought it was that alone which made me so very happy."

"It's not?" she asked and he shook his head.

"No, it's seeing it on your face, Margaery. Seeing how happy you are, I can only thank the Father and the Mother for making it so, for gifting me with such a day."

She leaned forward and kissed his cheek and then Ser Arthur nodded at him and they turned to walk into the Sept. Once inside the doors, he looked to see Sansa, Elinor, Megga, and Mira Forrester, all looking resplendent in their dresses of Green and Gold. Though none came close to how radiant his Margaery looked as he took her arm in his and began to walk down the aisle.

He heard the bells begin to ring out and looked ahead to see Jaehaerys standing there with a large smile on his face. The king wore the crown of the conqueror on his head and his robe bore the three-headed dragon as clear as they had ever been. He bowed and offered the king his daughter's arm and watched as he took hers in his own. That he felt no nerves, no doubts, no apprehension in doing so was something that he put down to the boy himself. Jaehaerys was a good man and he'd be a good husband, and that alone gave him the comfort and the strength to let her go.

Jaehaerys Targaryen.

Gods she was beautiful, truly, incredibly so, and never had she looked more true than she did as he took her arm from her father. The smile she gave him almost stilled his heart and as they turned to walk up the steps to face the High Septon, he worried his legs would give way. It felt as if he wasn't in control of them and he knew it wasn't nerves or worry which made it so. It was knowing what came next, what would come next for them both.

There would be no more chaperones, no more sneaking around, no more quickly grabbed moments or kisses they needed to hide from people's view. Very soon she would be his and he hers in a way that up to now they had not been. When he faced the High Septon it took him a moment to remember what to do, and he was relieved he did so without prompting.

Taking off the cloak, he looked as she turned and presented her back to him. His fingers trembled as they tied the strap around her neck and only her beaming smile when she turned to face him allowed him to turn and face the front once more. He watched as the High Septon wrapped the silk around their hands, joining them together from now until the end of their days.

Jae turned and looked once again into her face, into her eyes, and was almost lost yet again, feeling her hand tighten on his, he smiled and readied to say the words.

"Father, Smith, Warrior, Mother, Maiden, Crone, Stranger, I am hers and she is mine, from this day until the end of my days." he said and heard her say it as he did, their words ringing out across the Sept.

He looked to see the eagerness in her eyes and moved closer, feeling her lips on his, and then once again he was lost. They had kissed many times before, privately, hidden, out of the view of any who would dare tell him that they could not, that they should not. Now in front of the entire realm, he made sure this kiss would make up for all the times he hadn't been able to kiss her. When he moved away from her he saw her smile and heard her breathe just as deeply as he did. Despite wishing for nothing more than to kiss her once again, he smiled back and they turned to face the High Septon once more.

"Let it be known that Margaery of House Tyrell and Jaehaerys of House Targaryen, are one heart, one flesh, one soul. Cursed be he who would seek to tear them asunder." the High Septon said and Jae couldn't have agreed more and he'd dare any man to try.

Margaery.

"Father, Smith, Warrior, Mother, Maiden, Crone, Stranger, I am his and he is mine, from this day until the end of my days." she said hearing Jae say it almost exactly as she did.

She looked at him and then felt him move toward her, his lips on hers, and then they were alone, the world around them just fading away. They weren't in a Sept or in front of the realm. Her family, his, Lords, and Ladies, none were near, it was just them. They were in the mazes at Highgarden, in the vaults at Casterly Rock, dancing in Lannisport and strolling through the streets of King's Landing.

As she kissed him it was as if she was everywhere they had even been together, every moment they had ever shared was as if they were happening all at once. Then before she knew it was holding his hand in front of his mother's statue, hearing as he introduced her as his wife and she swore she heard a woman's voice echo in her mind.

"You are his and he is yours, I leave him to you Margaery of House Targaryen, my son's heart is yours to keep, keep it well and know I'm watching and you both have my love, always."

Whether the voice was true, a vision from the gods, or the emotions of the kiss being public and that it was their first as officially man and wife, she knew not. The sentiment though was one she felt and felt keenly, and so she closed her eyes and promised Lyanna that she'd wrap his heart deep within her own.

She heard the cheers from inside the Sept and then Jae took her hand and led her from it. Outside to the crowds who cheered her even more now that they saw her with her husband's hand in her own. He leaned into her and whispered, five words and she nodded when she heard them.

"I love you. Trust me."

A moment later as the rest of those inside walked out, Jae held up his hand and the cheers hushed and then Tommen came running carrying a cushion in his hand and placed it in front of her. She looked to Jae who smiled and then turned to take something wrapped in cloth from his aunt before he then faced the crowd.

"Today, Margaery and I have said our vows in the light of the seven, in front of the gods we've been named man and wife." Jae said.

She looked to him and he leaned in close, whispering in her ear once more and telling her to kneel, and she looked to the cushion and then to him again unsure if she'd heard him right. Only for him to nod and let her know she had. As she did as she was bid she saw it, the cloth fell to the ground and in his hand, he held a crown. It was beautiful, bejeweled with emeralds and rubies, and with a large sapphire in the center. Yet it was also small and delicate with barely any gold at all making it seem very light to her eyes.

"Now, here in front of you, our people. The people we are sworn to serve I ask you to bear witness to the crowning of your queen." Jae said and she looked at him as he placed the crown on her head.

She had thought it seemed light and she barely felt the weight of it once he'd put it on, yet as she looked out on the crowd of people and saw how they looked at her, she knew the truth. The weight of the crown was never in the crown itself, but in what it represented, in the responsibility that you accepted once you placed it on your head. Looking to her grandmother she saw the pride on her face, her mother's was full of love, and her father was losing the battle he'd had for most of the day with his tears. In Jae's, she saw the truth of everything, his pride, his love, his happiness, all was clear as he took her hand and helped her to her feet.

"All Hail Queen Margaery, long may she reign." Jae said loudly.

"Queen Margaery."

"Queen Margaery"

"Queen Margaery and King Jaehaerys, long may they reign."

She leaned into her husband as the crowd outside the Sept cheered, as lords, ladies, and the small folk all cheered equally loudly, Margaery leaned in and moved closer. Taking his face in her hands she kissed him and felt his arms go around her and she swore it, they would reign for a long time and they would reign well.

A/N: Thanks to all who've read and reviewed. Up Next at the Wedding feast two princesses size each other up, Willas realizes his true feelings, and Jae and Margaery dance before sharing their first night together. Before the tourney begins, Shireen is given her new position and Ned learns that Jae's plans include the North too, while each of the Lord Paramounts and Wardens swear fealty publicly.

Biohazard: So glad you liked it.

Daryldixon: It's more to have some time to themselves, rather than to just go straight into having children right away, the Lyanna comparison is only a concern, not the reason but it's more that once you go straight to having children it becomes them, rather than just Marge/Jae and they want some time for them first.

Supremus: he can't help himself.

Anarchcihmind: That's one of the things with Stannis, I like book Stannis, show Stannis they ruined as I don't think Stannis would ever allow Shireen to be burned, but at the Wall he may do well, he's rigid and unyielding and would follow orders, the thing with him is if he was Lord Commander at the wall, he'd either be Jae's best asset or a pain in the arse when it came to dealing with Wildings. With the changes and Marge pointing that out it's pretty much setting the stall our for the future, having them both play their parts, glad you liked the reunions.

Remi: We'll seee with Renly and his love during the tourney, both are alive though not in great shape. The eagle was Jae yes, she is suffering, both real and imagined so is getting no respite in her head either.

Zyrus: Euron is alive and we'll see him in a bit during the kings moot, the NK is the big villain, Euron will need to be dealt with and Bloodraven is readying to make his own move, so one big villain, one small one and one somewhere in between to come.

Lady Octarina: I did think on the oldest child thing, you're right it's just a huge step for them and he has all these other steps that need to be taken first, now, in time he could make that step still, but at the beginning he really needs to set things up for all the other changes first. I thought of that with Dany myself, the fact that she can't wield a sword really makes her more of a Rhaenys and yet I think she'd be a really good Visenya, I always wonder why in Jon meeting her early fics they never have him train her. But yes she and Arya and the Sand Snakes will get on, maybe even Asha too in time, glad you like the Joy scene, the chances of Jon not legitimising her were pretty much zero. On the taxes and changes, all will go to Kl and the Targ houses will instead be given a way of creating their own income, like any Great House would.

Vfsnake: exactly, she's had no peace in her freedom so to speak and as you see here, it's time to reel in the fish.

Warchicken: How do you come to that conclusion? She asked about her future great grandchildren and wished to ensure her family was protected, greed would be demanding it.

The Sphynx: So sorry to hear that my friend, hope you feel better soon, my best wishes until then.

Cel: Thank you, it's fun sometimes to see it through other eyes.

Darkstar: Thank you, sometimes I know the temptation can be to just jump to the next big action point, but it's nice I think to show the work so to speak, to ready things post war before moving to the great war. Anyway I'll be writing straight through to the War for Dawn in this story, so this will have the Nk and the Long night in it, it feels better than to do a sequel, let people just continue to follow it through so to speak.

Flame: So very glad you liked it.

Creativo: Ella estaba menos en la lista de cosas con las que lidiar Jae y de una manera que la ayudó a no ver el alcance completo de los problemas que tenía, ahora está cerca de la cima.

Doub: Cat's not dead, they drugged her because she was panicking and behaving erratically, but she's alive.

Guest: On Shireen/Davos that's next and Arianne is at the wedding, we'll see her in the next chapter too. Aemon/Shiera will have more povs during the upcoming tourney. Lol, I actually hadn't thought of that with Dany and Aegon/Rhaenys, so I can honestly say that my use of Visenya Reborn was purely accidental, or at least subconscious.

Dunk: There will be at the wedding feast a fun interaction with some of the I don't know what way to put it, but the younger ladies of the court, Arya, Joy, the younger sand snakes and Lyanna Mormont. On Joy, it was always going to happen, no way Jae couldn't do that. More Cat was becoming to hysterical, problematic for him and so he had her drugged so she'd be placid while they moved. On the marriages with his kin in the future, yes while he'll not rule out the Targcest, he'll see it more as the marriages within regions/political as the way to go. Stannis as you say he'll thrive, we'll see with Quentyn.

Xand007: Thank you my friend. I really love that phrase, it's so foreboding isn't it. LF is more trying to keep Cat calm so she doesn't raise any questions while they run, than any specific plan with her for now. We will see more of Jae's plans, for me a SA is a must for any Targ post the rebellion, now obvious Dany and fAegon in canon have theirs, but I think you'd be mad not to after what happened. Euron is on his mind, as for Bloodraven, well he's readying to make his move. You too my friend stay safe and well and I try to as much as I can.

Ajr71321: I didn't mean to, it's more to allow them to have a reason for why they're not just going straight to kid mode, there won't be any issues, the two eggs he found are for his children for sure, so he and Marge will have children, just not immediately.

Spartan; Sorry to hear that hope things get better soon. The IB are about to have their kings moot and name a new king, so we'll be seeing that. It really is a no brainier isn't it, the Wall or death, it's funny we always hear people bemoan it too, grouse that they should have picked death.

BkShadow: The Jae/Marge scenes will be more M, the rating will rising a little for that, glad you're enjoying the rest though.

Denoltdn: Thanks so much for saying that, it has been a long journey to get to this point and I'm glad I decided to go this route, hearing you say that about Jon/Marge means a lot.

Anja: So glad you liked it.

Cheryl Pollock: No worries, it's great to hear from you: Euron will be post tourney and as for Bloodraven he'll be soon, Cat/Lf as you see we're almost at. Euron has most of the pirates with him, he's bringing a large fleet to the Iron Islands. The COTR, will be brought up when Jae meets with Ned next.

Naruto: So glad you liked it.

Andrews: No worries, it is a problem in a way, the dragons feel it as their home and so any close enough to it, the ones from Kl like Rhaenix and for now Lygaron, will always be drawn to it, as it's pretty much an hour or so flight to it, however when they move out, the flight distance becomes longer and it'll be more be a pilgrimage of sorts every so often. So for example, Tyrion is going to be living in Dorne, which means Lygaron is living in Dorne, so he'll stay there, visit DS and not make it his home. One of the biggest issues is thinking post the immediate generation, you can look at the Dance or the Blackfyre Rebellion and let that be your guide for how the Targs may behave, but both were very specific cases and it was outside influences which made it so.

Now Jae's plans in some way and with DS do leave the potential for that to happen, but even were he not to do them, there is the potential for splits and issues in the future. For example, Tyrion is to be Prince Consort of Dorne and is a Dragon rider with even stronger links to the West than Jae, so do you stop Tyrion marrying Arianne because in a generation of two their children may rise against you? If so, then where does it stop, do you not allow Dany to marry? Do you pick their future husbands/wives, or do you go with the assumption that while yes there was Targs who rose against targs, there was also years of peaceful succession, years of them working with each other too. For Jae it's kinda simple, his idea is for House Targ as an entity to survive, yes he wish his children, his future grandchildren and so on to keep their place and be the kings, queens they're supposed to be, but first the House needs to be strong, as in the end it wasn't the Bfyres or the Dance which almost ended them, it was others who found a weak house.

Silverglow: I went slightly different on the convo as it flowed I thought better, but you may be right. Rhaenix and Balerion will meet up again pretty soon, we'll see Rhaenix during the Tourney. Marge was and is frustrated with waiting to get to work and hormonally a little both she and Jae are eager to ehmm, well, consummate.

On Cat's dreams all will be explained very soon, she, like Sansa in canon has come to realize the more time she spends with LF the more he really is someone you don't want to spend time with. I think a lot of LF's persona is superficial and once you get close to him, his truths are easy enough to find out. Sansa in canon did so very quickly and Cat once she can clear her mind from her other worries is doing the same. We will see more of her panic when next we see her, but we're getting to the endpoint for both of their arcs.

Jae was always going to legitimise Joy. Stannis was a little stubborn in that he still felt he did not wrong and didn't wish that to go unsaid, but mainly knowing that Shireen will be treated fairly he didn't put up too much of a fight, we'll see his pov before he heads to the wall.

Exactly, plus the Great Targ houses within the kingdoms themselves will have influences too, so in a way Jae's plan is quite simple, he kinda wants to make all kingdoms into the Riverlands, where the Liege is strong, but not completely supported. On the Envoys, they have a voice and as always a voice means power somewhat, however they're not LP's or Masters and so their voice only carries so much weight. One of the things too is the MOW (Richard) will have a lot of sway over them to not so much keep them in line, but to know if they're working for their own interests.

Really glad you liked it.
