IMA UPDATIN AGAINS!

After the end of January… I have finals this week, and those are going to be awful. After that I promise you all, my beautiful reviewers. I now HAVE a beta, but I didn't send this chapter, so yeah.

PS I'm screwing canon

"Link!" I yelled again. "Link, why is it that you are the hero, and you can't even wake up by yourself?" I walked over to his bed, and put my hand on him and shook him so he would wake up. He sat straight up and muttered something about me and another word that I did not quite recognize.

"Sorry, it's just that it's a new day, and I want to get started on doing stuff!" I gave Link one of my most charming smiles, and he just smiled back and got his gear on. We headed downstairs, and, to hold up my end of the bargain, I paid for our stay in the inn. We started to walk back, away from Kakariko, I tripped on something.

"Vaati, are you okay?"

"Link, I'm fine." I answered distracted as I saw that I had tripped on something shiny, so I wanted to know what it was.

"I don't believe it!" I yelled out, startling my new, and best, friend.

"What is it, Vaati?"

"Don't you recognize it?" I asked

"No, should I?" I sighed. I was hoping that even if he didn't remember anything else, I had hoped that once he saw it, it might trigger some memories from his past life.

"I guess not. We called them Kinstones. I had heard that the Minish left Hyrule for good after what happened. This is odd, though, normally they only come in red, blue, or green, but this one is purple." Link had an odd expression on his face.

"We have to go back to the forest. I think I have seen that thing before. I know that you hate it, but we should ride my horse." It was only because I was very curious, that I would even consider going on that vile horse because she said mean things to me. Finally, after having to hold on to Link, and a two hour ride, we were back at the forest. He started towards his tree hut and started speaking.

"Vaati, someone who I believe to be my father dropped me off here, and left me a small bag. I never bothered with it because I thought that there was only some rocks or something in it, and I remember seeing something like that Kinstone that you are holding." He rummaged through his bag and pulled out the matching Kinstone, and it made me have a great idea.

"Link, what did that person who dropped you off look like?"

"Why?"

"No reason."

"Vaati, all I heard about him was that he was wearing dark green robes and had a long white beard." My heart started racing at Link's idea of what the person looked like.

"Okay, Link let's fuse the Kinstones!"

"Okay, then…" he took his out and whatever magic was in them was released and a stump with a hole in the middle popped up next to links house.

"Link, do you know what that is?!"

"No, Vaati, we've already been over this."

"Link, come with me." I took his hand and dragged him to the stump. "Link, I need you to come right here and stand on the stump with me." He did and in order to get both of us on it, I had to stand pressed up against Link's back.

"Vaati, w-what are you doing?" he started to blush and stutter.

"Link, don't worry, I am not going to do anything improper to you." I said, mostly as a joke. "I need to be close to shrink us." Before Link could protest, I had started to chant and put my arms around Link to keep him still. Just like the Link before him had done so many times, he had finally bounced off of the mushrooms, fully shrunk.

"Link, sorry, but I have an idea, and I need your help." I had a strange feeling that I was going to meet up with an old friend. When I looked down, I saw that I was still in a human form. I thought that that was because of how much I had been changed, and that I was no longer truly a Minish.

I walked out of the little opening of the stump and saw a small opening that I recognized as the opening to a Minish house.

"Link let's go in!"

"Alright Vaati." He smiled and went in first.
