"Link, I have an idea. Have you ever seen a pedestal on the ground with the image of three triangles on it?" He thought about it for a second before responding.
"Yeah. Actually, there should be one deep within the lost woods. Why?"
"Well, I was just thinking that those are where the sages should be, because wasn't there one right outside of the place where you got the yellow medallion?"
"Yes, that's probably right..." He trailed off. "How do you know about the medallion? Were you going through my stuff while I was asleep?" He pointed at me in an accusatory fashion. I just shrugged and went on ahead, to where he had said the pedestal would be. We walked in silence for about 10 minutes, when Link decided to start speaking to me again.
"Can you perform magic?"
"Of course. There's a reason why I am called the wind mage."
"Then can you use that power to get us over past these trees?"
"Sure. You will have to stay near me though." He walked close to me and I started channeling my power and I whipped up a strong gale that lifted us up and shot us over the treeline. I made sure to cushion our landing with another gust of air, and we were only a few feet away from where I wanted the wind to take us.
"Link, we are here!"
"Good. That was interesting. " I took a look around and saw that person with the eye on his shirt.
"Link, I'm glad you arrived," he paused when he saw me, but he quickly recovered and continued on. "As I was saying, Link and company," he looked at me and for a second I saw his appearance flicker but I thought nothing of it. I was annoyed by the way he said that, so I corrected him.
"My name is Vaati."
"Alright! Now, learn this song!" He snapped at us and he pulled out a harp. I leaned over to Link and I asked about this man's name. He told me that it was Sheik.
"Here is the song." As he started to play, I interrupted him.
"May I learn it as well?" I pulled out the harp that I acquired while I was still quite sane, which was soon after first put on the cap that Ezlo made.
"Yes, Vaati, but it wouldn't work unless you had a magical instrument that was blessed by the Goddess."
"And what is wrong with this? It has the same magical signature as that ocarina." I pointed at Link, who glared at me, probably for ignoring him for so long. Sheik held my harp and looked at me in astonishment.
"Where did you get this?"
"I got this with a message. Not to tell anyone except those who I would trust with my life." I guess he saw something in me because in that moment, he looked at me with respect.
"Here is the song." He played the minuet of forest and link and I played a duet, which warped all three of us to the pedestal near our group.
"Vaati, that was much more powerful than I would have expected. It seems that your harp, and link's ocarina are complimentary instruments, which means that any songs imbued with magic will be amplified tenfold or more. I must be on my way though." With that, he disappeared in a flash.
Leave me a review. I am going to write more soon! I NEED feed back though. Ps I own nothing
