I heard Norrington yell before I actually heard the cannon fire, then him and two soldiers burst into Norrington's office.

"Commodore, what's going on?" I asked him.

"Carter, Take her somewhere safe, now." Norrington ordered. The young soldier grabbed my arm pulling me out of Norrington's office and toward the left side of the fort.

"Excuse me, where are you taking me." He was lost in thought, his eyes darting around, this was obviously his first pirate attack. He pulled me past two soldiers guarding a doorway and down steps, taking the key to all the cells from the dog, he unlocked a cell door and tossed me in.

"Pirates can't get you here ma'am." He said, handing the key back to the mutt. He ran off before I could tell him that the cell was occupied by someone else.

"What an idiot." I mumbled.

"Well ain't you a pretty one!"

"Come here darling."

"Come 'ere. I won't hurt you."

"Ahh, my hat. We just keep running into each other." He teased pulling the hat from my hand.

"We really need to stop." I smarted off. By the time I turned he was already back standing on the bench, at the window, Suddenly he jumped down and I dropped to my knees covering my head as a cannon ball soared through the other cell. When I looked up Sparrow was staring out of the hole.

"It's no manner of luck at all… You have the lassie for company." a gritty looking man said before escaping through the gaping hole of their side of the bars. That had to be depressing.

"Captain?" I tried for his attention.

"Aye lass?" He called back out with a strange softness.

"I'm sorry." I apologize. Sparrow walked over past me and picked up a bone from the ground. He waved it around whistling for the dog.

"Come on doggy, it's just you and me now. Just you and old Jack. And the little lass." he called for the under fed mutt. I crawled over afraid of another cannon ball.

"Come here boy. That's a good boy." I clicked my tongue and the mutt began to inch toward us slowly.

"Come on bit closer, bit closer." the captain encouraged it. I was just about to the keys- "Come on, you filthy slimy, mangy cur."- there was a loud banging and the dog startled running off with the keys. "No no no no I didn't mean it I didn't- oh!" There was a gunshot and I involuntarily wrapped my hand around Sparrow's arm.

"This aint the armory!" one of them yelled.

"Six doorways down on your left." I told them standing.

"Well well well look what we have here, Twig." They walked closer to our cell and Sparrow stood as well. "Captain Jack Sparrow." he spit on his boot. "And who might you be, pretty lady?"

"Brown." I said the first thing that came to mind, "I'm the blacksmith's daughter."

"Well dressed for a blacksmith's girl."

"One of the soldiers has an eye for pretty things." I countered quickly.

"What are you doing down here?" The other one asked.

"His wife doesn't take fondly to those he sets his eye on." The pirates chuckled.

"Last time I saw you Sparrow. You was all alone on a godforsaken island. Shrinking into the distance."

"His fortunes aren't improved much."

"Take mind of your own fortunes boys." I commented.

"The deepest circle of Hell is reserved for betrayers and mutineers." Sparrow continued. The long haired pirate grabbed Sparrow's throat. As his arm entered the moon light it became skeletal.

"So there is a curse. That's interesting"

"You know nothing of Hell." I stepped back slowly.

"Ah lass don't be afraid." the other pirate grabbed my hair pulling me against the bars. "How's about a kiss then?" He leaned in and his entire face turned into a skull.

"Captain!" I yelled, panicked.

"He isn't a captain and he can't protect you." the pirate said. From above I could hear another voice yelling 'back to the ship.'

"Come on!" said the other pirate on the steps. As soon as he let me go I stumbled back. Finding a rock in the cell I hurled it through the bars hitting the slime ball in the temple.

"You little bitch!" he yelled, Sparrow pulled me behind him. The other pirate grabbed his mate.

"Later! We have to get back to the ship." Sparrow crouched down and was inspecting the bone.

"That's very interesting." he suddenly looked up, smirking, "You alright Miss Brown?"

"Better than ever Smith." he was looking at the small square space the rock had passed through.

"Nice shot."

I woke up on the bench which I hadn't gone to sleep on. Sparrow had whittled the bone down and was attempting to pick the lock. It was close to dawn.

"Please." I heard him whisper. The door to the prison clanged open and Sparrow dropped to the ground lying down, pretending to be asleep. It was Will.

"You. Sparrow" he shouted.

"Aye?" the captain responded.

"You are familiar with the ship the Black Pearl?"

"I've heard of it."

"Where does it make berth?"

"Have you not heard the stories?! Barbosa and his crew of miscreants set sail to the dreaded isle de murta. It's an island that can only be found by those who know where it is."

"The Ship's true enough it"s anchorage must be a real place as well, where is it?"

"Why ask me?"

"Because you're a pirate."

"And your wanting to turn pirate yourself is that it" Will lunged at the bars

"Never….They've taken Miss Swann."

"Ah! So there is a girl!" Jack looked puzzled for a moment, "What about the Smith girl? Belay that another for me, " I rolled my eyes. As if, him with his- all his charms…. All his….char- stinky dirty pirate. "I see. Well if you're intending to braven all, hasten to her rescue, and so win fair lady's heart, you'll have to do it alone mate. I see no profit in it for me."

"With all do respect Captain, shut up." I mumbled

"Arabella?!" I walked to the bars stepping over Sparrow. Who tugged on the hem of my dress.

"That new soldier, Carter threw me in, for 'protection'. I think the idiot thought the cell was empty." I huffed, "They've taken Elizabeth?" I let my worry show through.

"Last night." Will nodded.

"Get me out of here." I begged wrapping my hands around the bars and leaning toward him. Out of the corner of my eye I could see Sparrow leaning forward to look between Will and I

"Where are the keys?" Will asked out loud. "Wait, he'll be free too." He whispered.

"Ran off." I growled, "Get me out anyways and let him go as well then."

"I can't do that."

"Yes you can."

"No."

"Yes."

"No."

"Yes."

"My civic duty."

"Shove. It." I gritted out. "Sparrow!" I gasped out loud in frustration, "Will you lead him to the Isla De Murta if he frees you from this cell?"

"How's that? Keys ran off." he said.

"I helped build these cells. These are half pin barrel hinges. With proper leverage they'll lift free."

"What's your name boy?" Sparrow asked suddenly.

"William Turner." Will answered. There was a familiarity in Sparrow's eyes.

"No doubt named after your father, eh?"

"Yes."

"Well, Mr. Turner, I change me mind," he quickly moved closer, his right hand gripped the bars at my hip, leaving his arm around me, "Spring me -and this little one-from this cell, and I swear on pain of death, that I will take you to Isla De Murta and your bonnie lass. Do we have an accord?" Will looked between me and Sparrow.

"Deal." Will told Sparrow quickly. And using leverage busted us out. "You better get home Bella." he told me sternly.

"If you think you are running off on some grand adventure without m-" I was interrupted.

"I don't want to worry after you as well!" Will shouted. I narrowed my eyes at him but headed up the steps nonetheless.
