I was still on high alert.
"What's wrong girl?" Letty asked.
"Nothing," I replied as I brought paperwork up help to her.
"You are lying now what is going on?" She asked giving me one of her looks.
Gulping the spit in my mouth.
"I've been working on the cars," I announced fearful. "Please don't kill me."
"What?" She asked still looking at me. "Say that again."
"I've been working on the cars," I said again.
"Does Dom know?" She asked.
"What do you think?" I asked. "No."
"You know you will need to tell him." She replied.
"He is going to kill me," I muttered. "Not to mention that my Abuela will kill me again."
"You know that Dom doesn't like being lied to," She said giving me a pointed look. Giving a simple nod, but said nothing. "Girl you better tell him."
My fingers began to twitch and my foot began to tip.
"I know, I know," I muttered looking down at the ground.
"I'll let you tell him by the end of the week or I will tell him, deal?" Letty said.
"Okay," I replied.
"You better do it or I will." She said.

"Dom?" I asked.
"Yeah?" He questioned.
"I was wonder if I could talk to you in private?" I asked playing with one of my charms. Feeling Letty's eyes on me.
"Why you can tell me anything Toni," He said. "I'm not going to get mad."
Swallowing my spit, before looking up at him knowing that I could feel the heat rising to my cheek.
"I have been working on the cars when none of you guys are here," I muttered and moved my head and eyes down in shame.
"Did ya?" He asked.
Glancing up to see Dom with his arms crossed.
"Yes Dom," I said looking at him. "I figure out what was wrong with it and fix it."
"And you didn't think of telling us or me?" He asked.
"Because I didn't know how you would react," I said. "Plus I didn't want to make a fool of myself if I did it wrong."
"So you know how to fix cars?" Dom asked.
"Yes," I said. "My stepdad taught me."
"Alright," He said. "Tomorrow we will see how well you are in fixing cars."
"Alright," I replied feeling better more confident.
"Go, home kid, you are going to need the rest," Leon said.

Nervous energy was ripping through my body, making me tap nonstop. Which was making some other students being annoyed but said nothing. I thought that Abuela would be waiting but thankfully I spot Mia's powder blue sports car. She rolled the window down and waved me. Rushing through the crowd and slipped in.
"So you are going to prove to Dom that you can fix a car?" She asked.
"Yes," I said simply, tapping my foot.
"Nervous?" She asked.
"A little bit," I said giving her a smile.
"Stick to your word and being yourself as well as just do your job," Mia said. "And you will be fine."
Just nodding at the comment, Mia pulled up to the garage. She offered me a smile and pushed me on. I step out feeling eyes on me and came to find myself in front of Dom.
"Come on time to prove that you can fix a car." He said.
Taking a breath as he led me into the garage. Thankfully the others were not around. In the center of the building was an Isuzu Piazza and it was bright white.
"What is the main concern about the car?" I asked.
"Don't know you have to check it ourselves," Dom said.
Walking over to see the keys were in the car, opening the door, and started up the car which was giving a clicking sound. I stop the car, pop the hoof, and started to look at the engine, focusing on the wires that were connecting to the start. Taking a breath and allowed myself to focus using a bit of my godly ability to find what is wrong with the car. Listening to hear that the battery was failing which is a reason why the car was clicking went starting up. Letting go of the wire and followed my eyes to see a battery that had blue fuzz on it.
"So," I said looking up to Dom. "The battery is on its way out."
"How would you know that?" Dom asked.
"Firstly the clicking when starting the car means that something wrong with the engine," I said. "Then looking at the wires which lead me to see that the battery has the blue fuzzes which mean the battery is heading its way out. Which means the battery needs to be replaced and such the car should start back up and will be good to go."
"So go do it," Dom said stilling watching with his arm crossed.
Walking past him, to get the needed items, pulling on my gloves and made quick work of the blue fuzzes. Unlatching the battery and pulling it off, placing the new battery in, and reattached them. Walking back to the cab of the car and started it, it roared to life. Turning it off and shut the hood of the car and looked at Dom.
"Well?" I asked.
"Well done kid," He said. "Starting next week you will start working on cars."
"Really?" I asked smiling brightly.
"Yes," He said. "You did good kid."
"Thanks, Dom," I replied.

Mia brought me home.
"See I told you," Mia said. "You did a great job and prove yourself to Dom and be proud of yourself."
"Thanks," I said. "I just more worry about what my Abuela is going to say or do when she finds out what I have been doing."
"Don't let her control your actions, Toni," She said. "Do what you like to do within reason at is."
"Thanks, Mia," I said as she pulled up to the house. "Really thanks."
Okay, that is the end of the please let me know what you think, please give constructive criticism.
