Chapter 22

Alexis picked up the phone, "Hey, we need you to come." Alexis smiled as she hung up the phone. Amanda was quick to ask, "Was she mad?" Alexis shook her head, "When are you going to actually get it? Liv, will not be mad or disappointed. She's proud of you for fighting through this. She's also right outside and has been for the last hour."

Amanda faked a smile, "When she sees this room, you will see a different Liv." They heard a knock, "Come in." Olivia came in and ran right to Amanda and hugged her, "Hey, are you ok?" Olivia stood up and saw the room, "What happened?" Alexis explained since Amanda wasn't speaking. Then Alexis saw it, "Get up right now! So you have zero control over yourself. I know what this is Amanda. The running and the hiding stuff. So you blew."

Olivia turned to Alexis, "Do you have a broom?" Alexis left to get it and returned to hear Amanda finally talking, "I told her I will replace everything." Olivia didn't cut her any slack. Alexis thought Olivia would be sweet, but she was tough and Amanda was responding. "You're Damn right you will. Clean her office now."

Amanda was cleaning and they knew she could hear the conversation, "I thought you were going to coddle her." Olivia laughed, "No, it's not how I handle things and if I had been here she wouldn't have done this." Olivia sighed, "It's my fault. I knew she wasn't right, but she wasn't giving me the same signals as she used to. Usually she won't eat or talk. I didn't see it and that's on me."

Amanda heard them, "Liv, it's not. I was confused and I thought I wanted punishment, but then I wasn't sure. This isn't on you. I'm just complicated. Are you sure you want to be with me?" Olivia pulled her close and kissed her, "Yes I'm absolutely sure I want to be with your complicated ass. Now, finish cleaning!" Alexis had an idea watching them, "Can you two come see on Friday around 4?" Olivia nodded, "Sure."

Olivia pulled into the garage, "When we get inside, I'm making dinner. My advice to you is to eat dinner and not have one moment of trouble tonight." Olivia got out of the car and hit the elevator button hard. Amanda knew she was pissed. "That is unless you want me to take my belt off and tear your ass up. Your behavior was uncalled for. If you had done that a day or two after we probably all would have expected it."

Olivia held Noah and checked the crockpot. Amanda rubbed Noah's hair, "I'm going to take a shower." Olivia grabbed her hand, "No hot water." Amanda promised. When she came back Olivia had made white rice and vegetables to go with the roast. "Feeling better?" Amanda smiled, "Yeah". "Luce! Let's go! Dinner." She put Noah in his chair and kissed the top of his head then Amanda's head. They enjoyed dinner together.

David stopped by to see Noah. That was the usual routine. Once he left it was time to start getting ready to put him down. "Ok, I cooked. Who wants to clean the kitchen and who wants to clean Noah?" Amanda smiled, "Luce, I'll let you pick." Lucy looked at the kitchen, "I'll take Noah. Come on buddy." Amanda didn't have a view of the kitchen but it must've been bad.

Noah was a handful in the bathtub. David recently put him in baby swimming lessons. Olivia thought he was way too young, but he loved the water. So bath time became a struggle. He didn't want his tub seat, he wanted to swim. You were guaranteed to get wet while bathing him.

Amanda started cleaning, "I'm taking a shower." Amanda asked her before she left, "Are you still mad at me?" Olivia held her from the back, put her arms around her waist, and rested her chin on her shoulder. "I'm not mad, but I did need to get your attention. Do I have it?" Amanda smiled, "Yes." Olivia smacked her ass hard, "Good! And that's yes ma'am." After putting Noah down. Olivia gave Amanda her whole body some needed attention.

The week went by quickly when they had a case after a husband saw his wife being attacked while video chatting. Olivia had her doubts and pointed several flaws in the wife's story. With help from Amanda, the detectives found out that she has been having an affair with her delivery guy and planned her own kidnapping and rape. Fin shook his head, "The husband is the real victim. That dude was broken."

On Friday Olivia and Amanda headed to see Alexis. "I'm sorry, I know this isn't your day, but on Monday I got an idea." Alexis gave Amanda a card. She read it to herself. Alexis said, "Read it out loud." Amanda wasn't sure, "After a frustrating day at work, you've had enough and when Olivia tells you to do something, you curse her out." Amanda looked at Olivia. Alexis said, "Read the back."

Amanda flipped it over, "1, warning and stern talking. 2, go to the corner for 20 minutes. 3, grounding. 4, spanking with hand, paddle, or belt." Amanda looked at both of them, "What is this?" Alexis handed Olivia a new card and asked her to read it. "You sneak out at night and come home smelling like alcohol." When she turned it over it had the same punishments.

Alexis had a stack of cards. "When I saw how you responded to Olivia after wrecking my office, it gave me an idea. I always thought that if Olivia took control, you would respond well. Amanda you never had discipline and honestly, you're pretty well put together for a kid who was allowed to do whatever, I'm surprised you're a cop. So all of these dry erase cards have scenarios. You don't have to actually do them, but it will make it more realistic."

Amanda was starting to understand. The best thing is that with this role play, there's no confusion. When you feel you need something different from Olivia, you pick a card. You circle whatever you want her to do. It can be one thing, 2 things, or even all of them. You give her the card, and she knows it's coming and she knows what she needs to do. When it's over, wipe the card and put it back. What do you think?"

Olivia didn't have a problem, it seemed better than trying to feel her out. "Seems good and the punishments are things we set anyway." Amanda wasn't sure, "I don't like asking her. I certainly don't like this cursing out card. Liv would kill me." Olivia giggled, "I will not!"

Alexis explained, "You're not asking. It's role play, acting and here how about this card." Amanda read it, "You refuse to eat dinner after several warnings." Amanda smiled, "This I would do." Alexis smiled, "Amanda you could give her a card one day and not want to give her another one for months. I'm only asking that you try. Be honest with yourself and stop holding it in. If you don't like it after you do it. We'll come back to the drawing board. Deal?"

When they got home, David was there. "Hey, I was waiting. I know it's my weekend, but the temperature is going to make it feel like an early spring, especially for New York. I'm taking Noah to the park. Do you want to come?" Olivia agreed she loved spending extra time with Noah. Amanda smiled, "Maybe we can even check out the spots Ashley picked for the wedding."

They were ready for bed and Amanda saw the stack of cards on her pillow. "Liv?" Olivia smiled, "Amanda those are your cards. I can't keep them for you. You would end up having to ask for your cards just to use them." Amanda shrugged, she was such a kid sometimes, but Olivia loved it. "Put them on your side of the bed in the nightstand and stop being a baby." Olivia raised her eyebrow and turned over.

Amanda flipped through the cards and found one. Say a smart comment, roll your eyes, and walk away. She looked at the punishments and circle warning and stern talking. Amanda put the card on Olivia's hip. Olivia read the card and looked on the back. "Ok, I'm entertained." Amanda flashed those big blue eyes and pouty lips. Olivia bit her lip so she wouldn't laugh.

Amanda always had a smart mouth, "Baby huh? Well thanks oldie, you make me feel so young." Amanda rolled her eyes, smirked, and walked into the bathroom leaving Olivia speechless. Olivia thought she did that well. Olivia walked in the bathroom and saw Amanda brushing her teeth. "Have you lost your mind?"

Amanda spit and rinsed her mouth, "No!" Olivia warned her, "Don't ever talk to me like that again or you're going to get it. You don't disrespect people. Do you understand me?" Amanda shrugged, "Yeah" and tried to walk away. "Yeah. That's how you talk to me now? Try that again." Amanda blinked those beautiful blue eyes at Olivia, "I understand. I'm sorry." Then she smiled and kissed her, "That was fun." When they climbed into bed she held Olivia which was quite different, usually Olivia did the holding. Olivia moaned, "I kinda like this."

The next day David, Noah, Olivia, Amanda, and Lucy all went to Central Park. David ordered everyone's favorite deli sandwich from the diner and packed them. Dominick met them and so did Lucy's dad and stepmom. "It's such a nice day." They saw people flying kites and Noah was crawling up a storm. The girls took a walk to the wedding spots and they picked the perfect one. They finished the day on the carousel.

The next week SVU was trying to catch a serial rapist, but we're hindered by a neighborhood vigilante group. Sometimes Amanda forgot Olivia was 2nd in command. She watched her calm the crowd of angry civilians. She was so good at her job.

Amanda and Nick got a lead and that helped Fin and Olivia locate Andy Chen, the suspect. They found him on a basketball court and had injuries similar. While Olivia was asking about his injured nose, he tried to run off. Fin huffed, "Damn, I don't run." Olivia did run a lot. She hated it, but it was Amanda's thing. Olivia caught him with ease and ended up giving him a nice punch to the face. Amanda saw her hand, "Liv, are you ok?" Olivia needed some ice, but was fine. When Andy made bail, angry civilians took revenge. Turned out one of the civilians was setting up rapes. They caught the perp.

Cragen was pleased, "Great job guys! This makes us look good, really good! Liv, Fin, a word." He handed Fin a book for the Sergeants exam and Olivia a book for the Lieutenants exam. Fin shook his head. "Cap!" Cragen gave him a stern look, "It's time to move up." Olivia shrugged, "I just became a Sergeant, no way am I ready for this." Cragen said, "I know, but study anyway and take the exam. If a promotion comes it's good."

Olivia waited for Fin to leave, "Cap, I have Noah and Amanda. I love my job and before them this job was my entire life." She didn't have to finish, he knew. "But it's not anymore huh?" Olivia shook her head, "I'm sorry Cap." Cragen smiled, "Liv, don't ever be sorry for that. I gave my life to this and forgot to live my own. You and Amanda have a shot at happiness, you deserve it." Olivia smiled, "Thank you!"
