I woke up at the crack of dawn this morning. I had made sure to text Violet and thank her for the reminder.

She had been so worried about me last night. But, after that little talk with Damon, the memory of the butterfly, I felt better. That was one of my favorite memories. I couldn't believe I had almost forgotten about it.

I had been so happy about discovering. So I did what I always done. I showed it to Damon. He was my inspiration back then. The best big brother anyone could ask for.

I've missed the way things were back then. I miss the brother I had. The friendship we had. Katherine had driven us apart. We became enemies.

Meeting Violet, everything has changed. She's brought is together. She's the glue. She's our savior. Our saving grace.

I know we're both in love with her. I'd give anything to be with her for forever. I know Damon would too.

We just don't fight over her. We don't pressure her. We be there for her. Protect her. And I know, we will continue to do so, even in death.

I got out of bed and made my way to my shower. I stripped off my boxers, turned in the shower head and out it all the way on hot.

The bathroom filled with steam and I stepped in, washing my "hero hair", as Damon calls it, and my body.

When I was done, I stepped out, dried off and went to my dresser in my room. I pulled out an outfit and put it in quickly.

I got my comb, and looked in the mirror, styling my hair my current style. Then put my comb back, grabbed my phone and headed down to the kitchen.

I smelled coffee brewing and pancakes frying.

"Smells good, Damon." I said as I sat down.

"Thanks, Stef. I promised Vi I would have breakfast ready when she got here. She should be here in a few minutes."

"So, will Ric be coming over, too?"

"Nah. He's going on a little trip that Violet sent him on. He won't be back until tomorrow afternoon." He answered, flipping a pancake.

A couple minutes later, we heard Violet pull into the driveway on her Kawasaki Ninja 250R.

I got up and helped Damon make plates and mugs of coffee, then set them on the table.

"Hey, guys." She greeted us, walking in. "Smells good, Damon. Thank you. Good morning, Stef."

"Anything for you, Vi." Damon smiled at her.

"Good morning, Violet." I greeted her, pulling her chair back for her.

"Thank you. So, Ric has left to that Warehouse on 79 to check it out.

There's nothing really there, I just had to think of something to keep him out of town and occupied. Elijah and Bex went with him. They know, but are 'helping' him." She told us.

"Great idea. Are the other's coming over?" Damon asks.

"Yes. Bonnie, Caroline and Jeremy will be here in about half an hour. Nik said he'll be here around noon. He has some business to take care of."

"Ok, then let's finish eating and then set everything up."

We finished our pancakes and coffee and cleaned up everything. The three of us working well together, splashing and laughing at each other.

It felt good to spend time with both of them like this. It's like we were a family. Like this was how we were meant to live.

I never got jealous of the look Damon had in his eyes for her. It's the same look I always have. A look of pure love, adoration and devotion.

I snapped out of my thoughts when the front door opened.

"We're here!" Caroline exclaimed with joy as she walked in. Violet ran over and hugged her and Bonnie, then punched Jeremy in the shoulder.

He out his hand over his heart with a pout. "You wound me, sister. Here I thought I was your favorite brother."

"Jer, you're my only brother. And certainly not the favorite." She giggled.

"Ouch. I have feelings, you know."

She smiled and gave him a hug. "I love you, Jer Bear."

"I love you, too, Vi."

I smiled at their interaction. They reminded me of mine and Damon's bond when we were human.

I looked over at Damon, and he looked back at me. He rolled his eyes and pulled me into a brotherly hug. One just like the old days.

"Awww." We heard the girls say. We pulled back and looked at them, they pretended to look away. We glanced back at each other, having a silent conversation.

We nodded at each other, then walked over and pulled all of them into a big group hug. Violet in the middle of all of us.

"Ok, guys. I'm starting to sweat with all this body heat." Vi said. We all pulled away, chuckling. "Ok. Let's get started now. Remember, we have all day. So no need to rush."

Everyone nodded and got to work. The girls started on lights and decorations.

Me, Damon and Jeremy were removing the furniture from the parlor and placing them in a guest room.

When we got done, we helped Damon set up a small stage. Vi was going to be singing tomorrow and she wanted us to set one up.

When we finished installing it, Jeremy went out to the garage and got some microphones and stands. Me and Damon followed to gather all the instruments.

Heading back inside, Klaus helped us and we set everything the way she instructed.

"Hey, Nik!" Violet greeted, running and jumping in his arms.

"Hey, Little Flower. It's good to see you. You're as beautiful as ever." He smiled warmly at her. It was so strange to see him smile like that.

"It's good to see you, too. And thank you. You look as handsome as ever." She smiled back at him.

They had gotten close over the past couple years. They have a sibling bond. They're even closer than he is with Elijah and Rebekah.

They're not jealous of her at all. They love her just as much. She brought light into their lives. She did for all of us.

"Don't I know, it." He smirked. She smacked his arm playfully and returned to helping the girls.

"Everything is set up, Vi. Anything else need to be done?" Damon asks her.

She looked around the room at everything, tapping her chin in thought.

"Everything looks perfect. I guess all we need to get done now is cake and the food and drinks."

""What's on the menu, love?" Klaus asks.

"Well, Ric loves Mexican food. So I was thinking tacos, enchiladas, Spanish rice, chips and salsa. Whatever anybody can think of.

Also, he loves anything that Damon has to drink and Corona beer." She answered.

"Okay, Little Flower. Don't even think about lifting a finger to cook all that food. I'll have it taken care of. You can just bake the cake and the brothers can have all the alcohol set up."

"Fine, Nik. I won't cook all the food. But I will bake the cake. And, no, Jeremy. You will not be touching it or trying to steal a bite or lick.

I will have Damon throw you into the cell of the dungeon if you even try." Violet threatened Jeremy.

He held his hands up in surrender. "I wasn't going to, I promise." She eyed him for a moment, then nodded. She turned back to Klaus.

"Okay, we're done here. Thanks for helping us, Nik. I really appreciate it. You guys will be over tomorrow night, right?"

"Anything for family, love. And we wouldn't miss it." He promised then gave her a hug. He pulled away, smiled at her, then went out the front door, into his car and left.

"Okay, guys. You all do what you want. I'm going to start on that cake." And with that, she went into the kitchen to get started.

The rest of us sat around and talked for a while. Smiling, joking and laughing. Tomorrow was going to be a great day.

Hope you all enjoyed!

Until Next Time,
