Return of the Multiverse

The Monitor and the Anti-Monitor woke, still in the World Forge, on the sandbar island; only it looked different and the waters around were more… active.

"So, it was brought back. I will destroy it again," the Anti-Monitor sighed, knowing exactly what the changed appearance of the World Forge meant, "but I shall destroy you first." The Anti-Monitor went to send a blast of anti-matter at the Monitor, but nothing happened. He looked confused, but the Monitor actually laughed.

"Are you looking for something?" A voice spoke, and Pariah had appeared on the sand, leaning against one of the palm trees that marked the change to the World Forge. "You're not going to be destroying anything anymore, Mobius."

"Nothing ever again," another voice spoke, and Harbinger appeared by her counterpart. "Neither of you will be."

"Pariah!" The Anti-Monitor called, moving to attack his servant, but he was stopped and thrown back as all Gal had to do was raise a hand. Gal looked impressed at his own new power.

"Don't you get it?" The Monitor chuckled, knowing what had happened. "The Paragons, they gave them our powers."

"They did," Harbinger confirmed. "And, as far as I know, the multiverse was brought back. Everyone was put in their places on their reforming worlds; Spectre was put back in purgatory; we were giving our new places; and you two remain here."

"This is the World Forge, but now it is also your prison," Gal mused. "You see, you two had nowhere to go de-powered, so you were left here. With no powers you can't go anywhere, you can't do anything to the multiverse. Your just stuck here. No one in no one out. Besides us, of course."

"Of course," the Monitor smiled weakly at this.

"And I don't think we'll be paying many visits. We have a job to do. A job you two failed at," Harbinger added.

"Tell me, Harbinger, is the multiverse back?" The Monitor asked.

"Mostly," Harbinger mused. "I think the most loved universes will come back as they were. Others are still forming," she could see them with her newfound powers, new worlds popping back into existence even as they spoke.

"There will be some rewrites to some worlds, to make them better," Gal added thoughtfully.

"It takes time for an infinite multiverse to restart, but I think it's ready and I want to watch," Harbinger stated.

"And I want to find something new to wear," Pariah mused, looking down at his green attire.

"You know, you're right. I really don't like these duds," Harbinger mused, the two giving their former masters a nod before disappearing, leaving the Monitor and Anti-Monitor alone.

"We're stuck here?" The Anti-Monitor breathed, "without our powers?"

"It seems so," the Monitor mused. "Very clever."

-Crisis on Infinite Millma Earths-

Prime Earth's Kara and Barry appeared in STAR Labs. They weren't quite sure how they got there, but they weren't alone as they were joined by Lara Jor-El, the older Kara, her husband Da-Ver and their kids, not to mention a couple of other Kryptonians who looked very confused as to where they were.

"What's going on?" Kara Da-Ver took the lead, addressing her younger double.

"Krypton," Kara WellsAllen, however countered, confusing the Kryptonians gathered; she didn't waste time in running over to the computers to check things over. "It's back!" She turned to her Barry now, grinning.

"Krypton went somewhere?" Lara Jor-El asked, confused.

"Yeah," Barry stated. "It blew up because of Crisis, but we bought it back, it's why you're here and not there."

"Urm, I was in the middle of a council meeting and then I was here," Kara Da-Ver countered.

"Crisis?" Lara added.

"Wait, you don't remember?" Kara WellsAllen asked, but didn't get the reply as her and Barry's JSA communicator rings sounded; both answered them, as a holographic image of Cisco projected from both.

"Are either of you going to explain why the entire JSA is out in the wastelands?" Cisco asked, as Kara and Barry exchanged looks. Did no one remember Crisis?

"Send everyone home, then you, Ray and Caitlin meet us in STAR Labs," Barry decided as Kara turned off the hologram.

"Okay, but we have a lot of confused heroes here," Cisco stated.

"Just send them home, we'll explain shortly," Barry insisted

"I think you guys should head back to Krypton," Kara now added to the Kryptonians. "We'll explain later, too. Hopefully, you can get that council meeting in order," she added to her older double.

"Thanks," Kara Da-Ver stated, giving her younger clone a confused frown as Lara shrugged, the group of Kryptonians heading to the teleport to Ceres, the Kryptonian Colony world in the solar system, where they could then get to Krypton.

The moment the last Kryptonian had gone, a portal opened, and Cisco, Ray and Caitlin came through.

"Can you explain what just happened?" Cisco was the one to ask this.

"And where's Nico?!" Caitlin realized, looking around, having expected her son to be here. Ray looked panicked too.

"He's safe," Barry said, almost automatically at this, "he's with Skye in the Speed Force."

"And why would he be in the Speed Force?" Caitlin asked.

"Because you gave him to your Mutant Earth double to protect," Kara pointed out, having known this from meeting them in the Speed Force earlier.

"No, I didn't," Caitlin folded her arms. "What is going on?"

"Crisis," Barry stated, getting annoyed that his friends didn't seem to know.

"The destruction of the entire multiverse?" Cisco stated, shocked at this. "That happened?"

"Yeah, of course it did!" Both Kara and Barry were getting exasperated. By this point it was getting beyond a joke.

"Krypton blew up," Kara stated.

"The earth shook," Barry added.

"We had red skies," Kara continued, and paused as the three's eyes glazed over a moment.

"We fought the Anti-Monitor," Ray muttered suddenly.

"He killed Laurel," Caitlin breathed.

"I think he killed me," Cisco added, suddenly patting himself over. "But I obviously survived… somehow."

"Oh, now you remember," Barry groaned, not sure whether to laugh or cry.

"Laurel's not dead though," Caitlin continued, as if she weren't listening. "I mean, if she was, what would Robin do?"

"Robin?" Kara asked, confused having not heard this name before on this world. She looked to Barry, who frowned at this too.

-Crisis on Infinite Millma Earths-

Rae had to blink as she looked around the room.

She had been in the World Forge, giving her blood to Olly, the last of the Paragons to do so, and then the next thing she knew she was back at home, here and now. She was standing in the living room, exactly as she was when Crisis had started. She wasn't even in her Speed Force outfit anymore and she could see her helmet and goggles resting on the counter. But there was no Leona in the play pen or in her arms; Leona was still in the Speed Force, she realized. The only person with her was Misty, barking.

But she could feel Kara. The broken bond was no more, Kara emotions were there, but they were far off. Rae was confused for a moment, but then she heard Kara's voice coming from her communicator. Rae grabbed hold of it.

"Supergirl?" Rae said. Kara was calling her Flash, meaning she was not in a private area. "Where are you?"

"Central," Kara said back, "with almost the entire League except the nerds. The male and female Amazonians are here, and an alternate you, your cousin – the random one – and my alternate twin sister who likes to Hitchhike."

"The nerds are in Watchtower," Adam added. "And Code Dominate is, for some reason, in effect."

"You must have all come back where you were when you died," Rae breathed, relieved. They were just in Central, although by the sounds of it whatever battle they had been in no longer happened due to the world coming back.

"Died?" It was Kara again. "What… what do you mean?"

"Do you not remember?" Rae asked, frowning.

"One moment I am at home with all of you and the next I am here," Kara said again.

"You really don't remember?" Rae said. Somehow the memories of those who fought in Crisis had been wiped, like it hadn't even happened. But Rae's mind went to her daughter. She could run into the Speed Force, but there were a lot of people there. She needed a portal to get them out. "I need Pre…" she didn't finish her sentence as a portal opened up before her. "Never mind..." Rae said as two little twin sisters came running out and right to her. "Alura, Nora," she smiled at the Karry twins, giving them a hug.

"Aunty Rae!" The two called, hugging her as Skye also came running at top speed out of the portal – which was very fast for a speedster – and Rae moved to catch her, to stop her from crashing into the wall. Helen then walked out of the portal and started her way over to Rae, followed by Griffin, who Rae remembered was Mutant Earth.

"Is Karry Universe there?" Kara asked.

"Look, just tell everyone in the League to go home except you, the multiverse, White Canary, Black Arrow, and Batwoman – you guys meet me at Home Base. Nerds, tells the Generals I'll release Code Dominate when I get there," Rae said and shut off her communicator as more people came out of the portal; the adults with the kids too young to walk.

"Give me my daughter," Rae said, seeing Mick still holding Leona, but had taken her back fast anyway, and kissed her head. The animals, Clarky, Lara, Daniel, and Sha're were the last ones to exit from the portal; Clarky giving a happy bark at being home and Rae smiled at her dog.

"Mind getting them all back to their homes for me?" The new voice was the Speed Force, wearing her Aunt Nora's form as usual, standing in the portal.

"Not a problem," Rae said as several of the kids had attached to her legs anyway.

"And congratulations. You did it," the Speed Force said, "for the most part."

"You really did it," it was Mutant Earth's Caitlin who spoke as the portal closed, Rae frowning at the words 'for the most part'.

"We did," Rae said, wondering about her plan now: was Harbinger and Pariah now the Monitor and Anti-Monitor? "Look, grab the kids, let's head to Home Base. I think we have some calls to make."

Gathering all the children together wasn't that easy, but eventually with help from the dogs, they got them all to the zap tunnel; Alura, Nora and Skye deciding Clarky, Lara and Daniel were their horses. The dogs didn't seem to mind though as they went through the zap tunnel and ended up in Home Base.

Seeing Kara again, Rae didn't wait to go and kiss her wife passionately.

"Urgh, get a room," Spiltsville Rae said out as she greeted her own animals in Daniel and Sha're and New Justice Rae had to smile at her alternate.

"I shut off Code Dominate," Kara said, giving her wife a smile as she pulled away; feeling Rae's emotions, she could tell Rae was really happy and relieved to see her, making Kara wonder what was going on.

"What happened?" Kara noticed Sara and Tommy taking their daughter from an alternate of Nora as Selina, aka Batwoman, picked up Helen. "How did you get all these kids?"

"The Speed Force saved us before we were destroyed," Mutant Caitlin said. "She sent us here after the multiverse was back."

"What?" Multiple people asked together.

"They don't seem to remember…" Rae mused to the other three – protected in the Speed Force, Mick, Mutant Caitlin, and Nora Palmer had never lost their memories.

"Really, nothing? Prime's Krypton blowing up, the Anti-Monitor released, worlds destroyed... Crisis?" Mutant Caitlin asked.

"I remember being warned about Crisis," Kara voiced, looking at her wife. "But it happened?"

"Come on, Kara, the red skies," Rae said and, as if this was a key word, something came over everyone eyes.

"The skies turned red," Random Barry breathed. "And there was this guy… He um…"

"The Anti-Monitor," Rae filled in.

"Yeah, this really pale skinned guy. I tried to stop him, but I couldn't. Me and Sarge came here," Random Barry said petting her dog.

"And we were saved before my world was destroyed to read a book," Little Rae added.

"To find the Paragons," Kayla and Kara said together.

"And then you came here," Sara added. "I was in charge until Kara came."

"We choose to make this our last stand," Kayla added.

Everyone was silent for a moment.

"That was weird right?" Nora asked as Mick just gave a noncommittal grunt.

"It's like they didn't remember until you mentioned it," Mutant Caitlin added, nodding at Rae.

"Look, I have parents to contact," Rae said, finding it weird herself. "MIA, get up the multiverse system. We have phone calls to make," she called to their world's A.I.

"And I need to find my world…" Random Barry added, hoping it was back.

-Crisis on Infinite Millma Earths-

Back on Prime, the Paragons of Destiny were a little lost as the sudden changes to their world.

"Caitlin, who's Robin?" Barry had to ask Caitlin, a little forcefully now; Caitlin blinked as she looked to Barry.

"Robin Robert Queen, Laurel and Oliver's son," Caitlin pointed out.

"Wait, they have a son?" Barry spoke up at this. "They only recently got back together!"

"Urm no," Cisco spoke up. "After Constantine gave the clone Laurel our original Laurel's soul, she and Oliver got together from there. Why don't you remember?"

"Because it didn't happen," Barry pointed out. Clone Laurel didn't get real Laurel soul from his memories. They had transferred memories to her but that was it. It seemed that had changed now.

"I beg to differ," Cisco stated, going to the computer to pull up a picture of Laurel and Oliver's wedding day, the former in a beautiful white dress and the latter in a dark green suit. Cisco flicked through to show a baby with bright blue eyes and wispy blonde hair, then showed a picture of Barry himself cradling the baby. Cisco moved through a few more pictures, showing the baby grow to a toddler.

"Crisis gave Laurel a kid," Barry breathed, sharing a look with his Kara.

"Anyone else have kids?" Kara half-joked as Cisco gave a lame chuckle.

"Jesse and Wally have their own son, Francis," Ray spoke up. "But I mean, you babysat for them literally yesterday, so you must know… oh, you don't," Ray blinked at Kara and Barry's reaction to this information.

"This is creepy," Cisco stated.

"That it may be, but I need my kid," Caitlin stated. "Please, can you get him from the Speed Force?"

"Yeah, that's a good point," Barry stated, but before he could even contemplate running into the Speed Force to see what could be done, his cell went off. "Oh, it's Rae," he stated, answering the call.

"Hey, half-Paragon of Destiny," Rae spoke in the other end. "I have some kids here that need their parents."

"You read my mind," Barry smirked into the phone.

-Crisis on Infinite Millma Earths-

On Karry Universe, Kara and Barry looked around. They were back in their penthouse and the breakfast out like it was when crisis started, but no one was with them. It was just the two of them in the large Penthouse.

"We got it back," Kara breathed. "The girls…?"

"Still safe in the Speed Force," Barry calmed his Kara.

"Romana and Star?" Kara reminded her husband.

"Good point," Barry said, but before either of them could react, both of them had their cellular devices ring.

"It's our Lake House," Barry said, answering the video chat on his phone.

"It's Froggy," Kara commented as she answered her cellphone to the vet in charge of their Sanctuary.

"Nash, Cara, Maya?" Barry asked, seeing the three on the video chat. "What are you doing at our Lake House?"

"That's what we would like to know," Nash pointed out. "We were in our store one moment, and the next we're back here."

"What do you mean there's a Harrison Wells and a dinosaur at the Sanctuary?" Kara, on the other hand, asked Froggy.

"Look we just finished Crisis," Barry mused. "I guess you came here during that. You don't remember it?"

"Not at all," Cara said.

"Tell Sherloque to go home," Kara added to her call.

"Look, just go home and we'll fill you in later," Barry said, and both said bye on their calls. "How many Harrison Wells fled here?"

"At least two," Kara said as her phone rang again. "Caitlin?"

"You might want to get to the STAR Lab field," Caitlin said.

"Why? What's going on?" Kara asked. "Do you have our girls?"

"Two of them," Caitlin said. "And… well, you need to see this."

"On our way," Kara said, looking at her husband as she hung up. Both went back into their outfits and sped out to their field.

When they arrived at STAR Lab field there was a lot of people there: their entire Justice League was standing around, along with the Totem Bearers, but there were extra people – they recognized them as people that were on the Waverider with them before they were protected as Paragons: Splitsville's Sara, Ava, Ray, and Zari; Mutant Earth's Kara, Barry and Cisco, and SuperEarth's Barry.

"Romana! Star!" The two however called together, and each took one of their daughters and hugged them.

"Barry-White," Karry Barry said to Mutant Earth's Barry. "And Barry-Red," he nodded to SuperEarth's Barry.

"Junior," Kara said to the Cisco there, knowing he was Mutant Cisco. "And Kara Kent." Kara Kent gave a nod. "Plus, the Splitsville Legends."

"What happened? I was with June and then… I was here," SuperEarth Barry mused.

"Where are we?" It was Splitsville Sara who asked this.

"You're on Karry Universe," Karry Kara said explained; those from the multiverse frowned at this. "Don't you remember? Crisis?" The group gathered looked at each other. "Prime Krypton blew up. the Anti-Monitor was released and destroying worlds."

"The skies turned red when he did," Barry added.

"Red Skies," multiple people said together, an understanding coming across their faces.

"Our world…" it was Splitsville Ray saying it. "We watch it die."

"My world… my Kara," SuperEarth Barry added, his hand going to his head now.

"My kids," Kara Kent said.

"We saw them – they are fine," Karry Barry stated to this.

"Kal," Kara Kent added, her Barry going to her.

"He's fine too. That Snart A.I. brought him to the Vanishing Point," Karry Barry said; Kara Kent was relieved as Barry brought her into a hug.

"We decided to make Prime our last stand," SuperEarth Barry stated.

"But we were taken here," Mutant Cisco added.

"We tried to save this world using the Totems," Amelia now spoke as she remembered hanging in the sky with the other Totem Bearers. "She… helped," Amelia nodded at Splitsville's Zari, who she didn't know.

"And so did I," this was Doctor Fate, making Karry Kara and Barry pause, having not seen him until now, but he took off the helmet and Liam was back, blinking at the sun.

"But Tantu was too late," Karry Ava completed now, remembering being thrown out of the sky and Tantu just being a moment too late to get to them.

"That's why she was here," Jesse added.

"Tantu was here?" Barry asked.

"She's not here now," Kara pointed out.

"She freaked when she realized she was back in Central and asked Junior here to send her back to Africa," Caitlin told the two. "That was while I was on the phone with you."

Before either could comment Kara's cellphone rang again.

"Hello?" Kara said.

"Hey Kara, it's Rae. Are you missing your twins?" Rae said.

"Hi mama, dada!" Kara heard Alura and Nora' voices; Rae clearly putting them on the phone to say that.

"Alura, Nora, you be good girls for Aunty Rae," Kara said on the phone, confusing everyone. "Mama and dada will be there soon," Kara said, hanging up the phone. "We need to head to New Justice."

"Why New Justice?" Mutant Kara asked.

"Because if Rae has our girls she has your kids too," Kara stated.

"Good point," Mutant Kara and Barry nodded.

"I hope my Kara's there," SuperEarth Barry stated, nodding to Mutant Cisco, who opened up a portal for them all

-Crisis on Infinite Millma Earths-

SuperEarth Kara frowned as she appeared on the streets of Central, not quite sure how she'd got here. The skies were clear, and everything seemed normal. Except there was no Barry. She still couldn't feel him in her head, and this deeply worried her. She decided to head back to the DEO's STAR Labs base, to see if they needed help.

"Supergirl!" Alex was already waiting out front as Kara breathed a sigh of relief at seeing her sister as she pulled her into a hug, glad to be back; but Kara had to frown at the five people getting down from the roof. "Any clue why Constantine, Doctor Fate and the others were on STAR Labs roof?"

"Probably something to do with Crisis," Kara theorized, frowning as Alex cocked her head.

"Crisis?" Alex asked, apparently confused at this.

"You know, earthquakes, red skies…" Kara mused as they walked into the Labs, not even registering that Alex hadn't know what she was on about. Alex paused though. "Alex…?"

"Barry was here," Alex breathed. "So was Mila… well, not our Mila, but a multiverse Mila. How did I forget that?"

"Barry was here?" Kara rounded on her sister. "What do you remember?"

"He went into a portal then there was this red stuff and then I was here and now," Alex explained, confused.

"So, he got away? He survived!" Kara smiled to herself. "At least, he survived this world's destruction."

"How did I forget that though?" Alex asked. "Where is John when you need him?"

"He's having a smoke," Kara stated, almost automatically as she saw John Constantine smoking out back thanks to her x-ray vision.

"Ah," Alex bit her lip. "Wait, where's Lara?"

"Good point," Kara stated, only now realizing her dog wasn't nearby. "She must still be in the Speed Force. Damn. Okay, I'm going to New Justice."

"What…?" Alex blinked at this.

"Without my Barry to help, it's either Karry or New Justice, and I just feel like the Paragon of Truth will be better at getting my dog back – and Barry," Kara stated, now heading to Alex's office where the multiverse system, and transport, was.

"I feel like I missed something," Alex mused as she shook her head, but she had a team to advise and June to question; she'd have to ask Kara more about Crisis and this Paragon thing later.

-Crisis on Infinite Millma Earths-

On Prime's Krypton, Gal-El appeared in the catacombs, just in front of the entrance to the trap that had contained the Anti-Monitor since the planet's formation. He paused. On the floor was a body.

"Of course, he died just before Crisis started," Gal muttered to himself, crouching down to examine his uncle's body. "This was because of you Uncle Quex – and you never lived to see the fruit of your troubles," he sighed as he cocked his head, noticing what the man had been wearing, a simple black outfit with the House of El symbol on it – it may have only been a few hours since Quex had died, but to Gal it had been a lifetime.

"I wonder…" Gal muttered to himself as he stood and concentrated – he was still getting used to his new powers. However, his green and gold outfit faded to be replaced by a suit similar to those worn by the many Supermen he'd seen die recently, only all in black. He smirked to himself. He liked it.

Then, he leaned against the wall and closed his eyes, sensing what was beyond the wall and couldn't help but laugh to himself: it was filled in, like the trap had never been there. Krypton was stable, and the Anti-Monitor's cell was gone for good.

He turned back to Quex, still smiling to himself as he lifted the man's form up in his muscular arms, knowing where to take him as he teleported from the catacombs and directly into a candlelit room surrounded by the House of El symbols. A resting place for the dead before they moved into the light of Rao. He'd leave Quex here.

Putting the body down, Quex moved through the door and paused as he heard an unfamiliar voice speaking in the distance. This was the House of El, any voice here he should recognize.

Following the sound of the voice, he stopped in the living area, shocked at who he saw. "Cora Jor-El?" Gal stated, surprised. He'd seen many versions of the twin sister of Kal-El die, but she'd never existed on Prime, on his world. "Did you get displaced by Crisis?"

"Gal, why do you always talk so stupidly?" Cora sighed, putting away her communication device, obviously having been talking to someone. "And what on Krypton are you wearing?"

"It's a super suit," Gal stated, pouting before shaking himself. Why did he feel like this woman's input was important to him?

"A super suit? Like Little Kara wears on Earth? That place is bad influence," Cora chuckled. "I mean I was just talking to our Kara, and they'd randomly appeared on Earth. She had me call the Council to explain…"

"You're from this world…?" Gal breathed; it made sense. Someone needed to take over for his mother and father on the council, and with Kal a Green Lantern and now he Gal, the Anti-Monitor, Cora had been created to fill that void.

"What did I say about speaking funny?" Cora frowned at her little brother.

"Sorry," Gal blushed at this. "Urm, there's probably something you should know though – Uncle Quex," since Cora was part of this world, part of this family and life, Gal figured it was fine to tell her. "He's dead."

"What?!" Cora's eyes went wide as she ran to her brother. "How?"

"He was, er, in the catacombs, I found him…" he didn't want to go into detail on Crisis yet. There'd be time for that. "Anyway, I put him in the Death Chamber."

"I'll tell dad. You, stay here – he'll want to know more," Cora stated, running from the room, leaving Gal alone.

"Well, that didn't go as expected," Gal said to himself.

"Gal!" The familiar voice of Amelia Allen called as Harbinger appeared in a flash of light before him. Like himself, she had abandoned her own Harbinger outfit, but unlike Gal, she had elected for something more casual – a black and white shirt with black leggings and boots.

"Harbinger?" Gal stated, surprised at her urgency.

"Urgh, please, call me Accord, but that's neither here nor there," Accord stated rushed. "Something went wrong with the Paragons' back-up system – not all the worlds came back. My home… it's gone."

"What?!" Gal asked, shocked by this. "Is there anything we can do…?"

"I don't… I don't know," Accord stated, worriedly.

"I think we should get the Paragons together again," Gal stated, taking the lead.

"I don't know what they can do, but okay," Accord stated, as Gal took her hand. Together, they vanished in a flash of light.

A second later, the door opened and Cora, Jor-El and Lara came into the room but stopped to find it empty.

"Gal just does not stay in one place," Jor stated sadly, shaking his head, unaware of his son's new powers.

Post-Chapter Note: Don't kill us. This was getting long so we decided to split the last chapter. Hope you liked this. What do you think has happened to the multiverse as we know it?
