Several days passed... Laxus and Freed occasionally sneaking off to do their own things together, of course wherever they went, Margaret came too. Laxus even started to feel more and more comfortable talking about the sappy and embarrassing stuff too, they snuck around most of the time still. Laxus was afraid of facing Makarov's reaction to it all. He had old fashioned views on a lot still he didn't know if he disliked homosexual people, and he didn't want to find out... at least yet.

Something new Laxus noticed was Freed's latest obsession with history books, he carried one at all times and he's even found a favorite topic that he wasn't afraid to share more about. "Guys did you know light runes exist?" Freed held open a book with a page detailing the ancient spells to his friends before him.

"That's cool but how ya gonna learn if there aren't more books on em?" Bickslow added, Evergreen nodded in agreement, "Freed all the book's you've found detail the history not how to properly cast and use them."

Mirajane came over dropping off a large bowl of tortilla chips and dip at the table, "Well I for one think Freed's interest in learning about the origins of the kind of magic he uses is inspiring." Mira smiled saying.

"It's cool when the books don't have weird ass covers. Freed has one with a golden eagle dragon thing in his room that unsettles even me." Bickslow says grabbing a chip.

"Eh maybe it's just the author's taste in covers." Laxus shrugged holding Margaret in his left arm.

"The eagle and a golden dragon are used interchangeably, its a symbol of sorts, one of the few solid confirmed pieces of information people have gathered on the empire that used to hover above Ishgar." Freed huffed at Bickslow.

"Never heard of it, nor do I care." Bickslow said sticking his tongue out and placing a chip on it.

Freed rolled his eyes at Bickslow.

Evergreen chuckled, "You three act like such bickering parents already, its a stupid piece of forgotten history no need to argue over its importance, if it was forgotten over time it must have not been influential."

Freed mumbled, "It gave birth to rune magic... I know that for a fact..."

"Freed's fanboying over history again" Bickslow shout groaned.

"Stop being such an ass or I'm not paying for your dinner." Freed glared at Bickslow.

"Yes sir!" Bickslow immediately shot back up into his chair and kept eating the chips.

"Why do you care so much anyway? It's not like you have that much left to learn about rune magic." Evergreen raised a brow.

Laxus turned his head to face Freed he was curious too.

"When the floating empire disappeared so did most of it's people and the knowledge they held along with it. Imagine finding something out about your fairy magic Evergreen that people just stopped using and/or forgot about, forever out of your reach you search to fill that void with knowledge."

Evergreen nodded her head, "I see, you do have a point, have you ever asked Master about the empire?"

"Of course, all I managed to learn was there was guild in the empire called Apollo's fury, not exactly what I was looking for." Freed sighed.

Across the room Cia and Zephyr sat listening in on their conversation.

"You going to bestow your knowledge on them or you just going to stay on the side lines?" Zephyr said smirking at Cia.

"Hey, once this curse is lifted I'll fucking take him there myself, let him meet Apollo if he's still alive and lift the curse there too with my own hands." Cia grumbled.

"So aggressive, remember not to repeat your actions, you've been gifted another chance, don't be a tyrannical bitch." Zephyr said peering down at her intimidatingly.

"No shit Sherlock, I have other plans." Cia said crossing her arms.

Zephyr rubbed his forehead, "First we need to lift this curse on you."

"You don't believe I've changed?" Cia frowned at him.

"No. I don't." Zephyr sighed.

Cia growled, "Give me the historia."

Zephyr's worried expression turned into a smile, "As you wish, my lady."

Zephyr pressed his palms together and a book poofs into Cia's tiny arms, "Oof! It's heavy!"

"No you're just small." Zephyr smirked, the two walked over book in possession over to the Thunder legions table.

Cia's tale is about to be told.
