"What do you mean?" John asked. "Does he live here?"

"No." "We haven't lived together in years." "He refuses to accept that the marriage is over." "He refuses to sign the papers." "I've taken him to court numerous times." "Every time his attorney got a thirty day extension of the proceedings." "He tries to talk to me every time and I don't want to see him." "So two years ago I stopped trying."

"What happened?"

"We got married when we were twenty." "My business was still in the startup stages then." "We would fight about money and other things." "Three years into the marriage I got tired of it all, moved out of his house and filed for divorce." "I haven't heard from him in years but he always seems to know when I have a boyfriend." "Do you still want to be together?"

"Absolutely."

"He might confront you." "He has with my other boyfriends but they were from this country."

"I can handle myself, don't worry."

"I know you can." "I just don't want you to fall for his lies."

"What lies?"

"He's convinced some of my boyfriends in the past that we were back together." "I would never cheat on anyone."

"Are you afraid of him Sarah?"

"It does freak me out when he just shows up."

"Has he ever been violent?"

"No." "He's just creepy."

"Well as long as you're with me you don't have to be afraid." "Have you ever thought about getting a restraining order?"

"He's never done anything to me."

"Well he'd better not try."

"He's all talk."

"Do you think you could find some time to go on the road with me?"

"I was looking at my schedule to come and see you before you showed up." "I don't have more then a day's worth of time for the next six months."

"Then I guess we'll have to have a lot of phone sex." He said smirking.

She smiled. "I guess."

"Whenever there's a break in my schedule I'll be here."

"I'll try to be more flexible with my schedule but I can't make any promises."

"I don't want you to put any extra pressure on yourself."

"What time do you have to leave tomorrow?"

"Seven."

"Wanna go in the bedroom?"

"Yeah."

The next morning John got up and dressed. Sarah was just waking up.

"Time for you to go?" Sarah asked sitting up.

"Yeah." He knelt down beside her.

"I don't want you to go."

"I don't want to either." They kissed. "I'll text you when I land."

"Ok, bye."

"Bye." He left. Sarah and John were both immediately depressed.
