Evernight Castle glistened in a radiant glow of dark-purple over the vast domain called the Land of Darkness. At the very heart of that castle, a completely pale woman in black sat in her throne looking down at Loki. The God of Mischief held a scroll which played Professor Ozpin's press conference which introduced the Avengers.
When it was over, Loki closed the scroll and looked up at his master. "Okay. I know this wasn't exactly the results we wanted…"
"I'm not disappointed, Loki." Salem said. "If anything, this is better than what we had intended."
Loki looked confused. "You're going to have to explain that."
Salem arose to her feet and slowly walked down her steps towards him. "It's simple. Ozpin believes that his little dream team, these 'Avengers', are a valuable asset. But his greatest strength can also be his greatest weakness."
Loki rubbed his chin thinking about it. "Right. I think I see what you mean. Clearly, Ozpin hasn't told them about your existence."
"He's keeping things close to the chest, keeping them on a need-to-know basis." Salem said. She walked on over to the window gazing out at the evil lands covered with Grimm pools. "But as long as they don't know about us…"
"We can still get the drop on them." Loki inferred. "And undoubtedly, that could lead to a much greater form of destruction than we originally planned."
"Exactly." Salem said. "These Avengers are formidable, but they have no idea what they are up against. Now, Loki, I want you to join up with Cinder while she is conducting business with Roman Torchwick. If the Avengers are based in Vale, they're going to need your magic touch on the situation."
Loki stood proudly. "Consider it done."
Salem glanced backwards before putting on a small smile.
Though Mantle was mostly damaged, the shawarma restaurant was still in business. It was just open enough to serve Tony Stark, Steve Rogers, Thor, Bruce Banner, Natasha Romanoff, Scott Lang, and Hope Van Dyne. While the shop owner swept the damaged debris, they sat around a small table enjoying their meal without really saying anything. They just enjoyed their shawarma before moving out to Vale.
The Avengers will return.
