"Hey! I'm Icaricia. I haven't been here long, but, hmmmm. . .you look like those kinda black dragons, but you have those-sorry, kinda weird- scales. I don't mean that in a bad way. I've just never seen a dragon that looks like that before. I like it," Icaricia smiles.

"Uh, thanks. I'm half NightWing, half RainWing," I say, making my scales flash rainbow. She sits down at the loom next to me, and takes out some light blue thread. Soon I can breathe, for Icaricia turns away, and weaves a pattern much like the one on her scales, except instead of different blues overlapping randomly, she is doing light to dark. I hunch down, and begin a. . .I actually have no idea what I'm going to weave. I let my instincts overtake me, and soon I am thinking about my life, while my talons and unconcious brain ordered me around.

Before I knew it, I had run out of things to think, and so I loked down, and realised that my talons had been still for several minutes. Then I noticed that the room was quiet. and they were all looking at me. And then I realise that it's because in front of me, I had a tapestry of two dragon silhouette on a hillside at sunset, snouts touching. Embarrased, I did the obvious thing to do. Ran out of the room.

I rushed outside, and made it halfway to the top, before I heard the urgent flutter of wings behind me, and ground to a stop. I turned, ready to face a jeering classmate, or a teasing friend. But instead, I nearly crashed into a small blue dragon, who was holding a large bundle of cloth. "How do you weave like that?" she asks. It's- you guessed it- Icaricia. And she doesn't seem to be angry, or laughing. Just, in awe. "Um, I don't know how I did it," I reply, truthfully.

"It's a SilkWing, isn't it? I can see his antennae. And-" Icaricia squints at the fabric-"is that you? The dragon doesn't have a glimmer of colour, except for a few spots of pink. It is you isn't it," Icaricia says in wonderment.

"I'm sorry. And, ummmm, it's not a boy," I whisper.

"Oookay. I don't like boys either. Just saying. Yeah. Mmmm." She grins sheepishly. Then, I spot a ledge on the mountainside, and lead Icaricia down to it. It's smaller than I thought it would be, so we are closer than I'm comfortable with. I look at the tapestry once again, and spot a shine of blue on the dragon sitting next to who I suppose is me. Yup. I'm pretty sure it's a SilkWing. And that it's SilkWing sitting next to me. A gust of wind soars around us. I huddle closer to Icaricia to stop the chill.

Mistake. A good one, but nonetheless. Icaricia curved her neck down and I was kissing her. My first kiss. With my first crush. In my first year of school. Wow. What more could I say?

It seems to be a century before she stops. It's probably only, like, five seconds. I shrink down, and nervously peer up at her. She grins down at me, and I smile back, before letting my head drop down to my chest. I'm breathing heavily, and it's a few minutes before Icaricia kneels down beside me, and takes my talons in hers. "I haven't really known you that long, Bluemoon. And forgive me if this sounds sappy, but you're really special. And I would love it if we could hang out more. So I can get to know you better. So that I ask you out." She bites her lip, and looks at me.

"Y-yeah. I would, um, really like that. The hanging out bit. Not necessarily the going out bit. Not that there's anything wrong with it. Just, yeah, we ned to know each other better. . .before that," I stammer through.

Icaricia tilts her head and laughs. It's a carefree, happy, loveable laugh. And soon, I'm laughing too.
