John was sickened when he learned what Nathaniel had done to Sarah. Sarah had been officially buried. It had been a month since Nathaniel confessed. He'd waived his right a jury trial and plead guilty. Today he was being sentenced. John and Lauren were getting ready to go to the courthouse. He hugged Lauren.

"Are you ok John?" She asked.

"I wouldn't be, if you weren't here." "Your support has given me so much strength." "You've been great through all of this." "I love you."

"I love you too."

When they brought Nathaniel into the courtroom he and John made eye contact. John wanted to kill him.

"Mr. Williamson since you've waived your right to a jury trial and have pleaded guilty, sentencing will take place right now." "The judge said. "You've showed no remorse for your crime." "I hereby sentence you to life imprisonment, without the possibility of parole at the Florida State Penitentiary." "Impact statements may be read at this time."

John stood up and unfolded a piece of paper.

"You have no idea what's you've taken away." John said. "Not from me, from Sarah." "She was pregnant with our child, because of you she will never get to be a mother." John said with tears in his eyes. "She will never get to know if that baby would've been a boy or a girl." "She will never see what kind of person our baby would've grown up to be." "She pleaded for her life, pleaded for our baby, but her pleas were ignored." "I hope you have nightmares of what you did to her, I hope it haunts you." "Every breath you take for the rest of your life, is a breath you stole from her." "On the day you die, I hope that you get the same merciless treatment as you showed Sarah." "I hope in burn in hell."

Ten years passed. John was very happily married to Lauren. She continued to be his support system over the years. He still thought of Sarah every single day. He went to the cemetery where she was buried and up to her gravestone.

"Hi baby." John said. "I know it's been awhile." "I'm sorry." "I found something today and it's about time you had it back." "It belongs with you." He took out her engagement ring and put it on her gravestone. "I know a lot has changed in my life but I will always love you."

I hope you enjoyed the story.
