MM TCOT Jealous Jokester
I have a little watch of the PM TV movies and I like the little scene in the office where Della is dashing off to the airport to catch a plane to meet Perry in The Hauge. Bill asks Della if she will have dinner with him when she returns. Just a little moment I had to write because my muse demanded it.
Disclaimer : I do not own any of the characters, but I do adore them.

Della Street yawned again.
'You should get some sleep young lady.' Perry Mason chuckled to himself as the yawn morphed into an amused glare.
'I would have had some if you hadn't ravished me the moment I walked into the hotel room,' she admonished humorously.
'Well in my defence, I haven't seen you in over a week,' he explained boyishly but then added. 'I'm glad you came over here. I know how you hate flying and this was a particularly long one.'
Della brushed her nose and then her lips across his neck where her head rest between his shoulder and his furry jaw. 'I missed you,' she murmured against his neck radiating in the feel of his beard against her cheek. Perry tightened his grip pulling her ever closer.
'You weren't tempted into helping Bill with his case?'
'Erm, let me think about that. Another case without you in Denver or spending moments like this in another country with you even though there's precious little I can do here?'
'Don't sell yourself short. You organise my thoughts, prop me up, keep me on the straight and narrow, I'd say you were, as always invaluable. Oh and you fulfil my every need, which no other has ever been able to or ever will do.'
Della suddenly let out a long sigh. 'Bill asked me to have dinner with him when we get back.'
Perry stiffened beside her. 'Did you accept?'
'Why are you jealous?'
'I most certainly am. You can have dinner with him as long as I'm there as well.'
Della pushed herself up to lean on one elbow and look into his face. 'Mister Mason, are you forbidding me to have dinner with an old friend alone just because he's a man?'
A smirk played about his lips. 'I am,' he replied confidently. 'It's precisely because he is a man, a single man, that I would like to also be there. He's got eyes in his head, he's single, he knows a beautiful woman when he sees one and he owns a ranch to tempt you away from the city with.'
Della let out a throaty chuckle. 'Don't be silly, Bill's just an old friend and I'd like to point out you've known him longer than me.'
'Yes well,' Perry reasoned, 'He doesn't fancy me and I don't own a grand stallion.' He broke into a broad grin and slipped his hand through her soft hair to the back of her neck, pulling her face against his. Della slipped her hand down under the covers making him draw in a sharp breath, then brushed her lips against his invitingly.
'But I own one even if he is aging and cranky sometimes.'
