San Fransisco was a different kind of hot. That age-old argument of what's worse, the dry-heat versus humidity.

Grissom had his fair share of both. He didn't care for the humidity or doing the conferences in Cali at all for that matter. But it was hard to turn down speaking at the Forensic Academy Conference. He had been looking forward to each of his lectures. This year speaking on both entomology and anthropology. It was his second to last lecture for the first day. He watched as each of the participants entered the room and took their seats. He caught the eye of a younger brunette. Her hair pulled into a pony-tail, no time for non-sense hair styles. Her skin slightly pale compared to others in the class. She spent her days indoors. She didn't sit with anyone else, talk to anyone else. She was here for herself. She caught him staring and politely smiled. Seeing her gapped tooth for the first time, he smiled back. It was endearing. Not machine perfect like most of the smiles he'd been surrounded by so far. She was real true beauty.

He was happy to have such a beautiful focal point for the next 2 hrs through his lecture. Her eye contact always available when he needed it. She was listening, engaged, and asking questions. Each question brought a smile to his face, building his confidence into the next segment. This was the most engagement he had had for any of his lectures so far. Wrapping up, he dismissed the class.

"Thank you everyone for your time. I hope you take away a few points for your future studies."

The class erupts with claps and loud clanking as they stood gathering their items and exited out the doors.

He stood at the podium stacking his notes, slowly putting things back into his briefcase. Occasionally glancing up hoping to catch one last glimpse of the beautiful woman he had the pleasure of interacting with. But after the third time he looked up, he could no longer find her.

"If my professors in college were this good at making anthropology interesting, I may not have gotten that B."

She was still here. He felt a smile involuntarily creep across his face. He felt this sudden warmth start to spread across his chest. As he looked up to find her eyes he felt the air catch in his throat. She was more beautiful up close than he could see before.

"Thank you for all your engaging questions. Miss…"

"Oh! Sidle. Sara Sidle. I had more actually. I took some notes."

"Oh! Great Ms. Sidle. Well, let's hear them." he said as he leaned back onto the desk behind him.

"Well, actually I have to run to my next lecture." She looked down at her watch implying she was running late.

"No problem. Uhhh…" He sputtered off as he reached into his inside blazer pocket. Searching for one of those stupid department issued business cards.

"…here. My email is on there. If you want to send me your questions, I'd be happy to answer them."

She frowned. Her thunder stolen and plan diverted. "Oh, thank you." she held up the card. "I'll definitely be sure to reach out."

"Actually…" he started, then grabbed the card out of her hand. Letting his fingers lightly graze across hers as he took it. He leaned over pressing the card to his knee to serve as a hard surface. He pulled his pen and wrote on the back of the card.

"I'm in town for the rest of the week. If you want to maybe meet and discuss your questions, I'll do my best to make some time. I only have one lecture left today and my others are all in the mornings."

He gripped the card delicately between the tip of his index and middle fingers extending it back to her.

She smiled and pursed her lips.

Good god, her lips…

It was the cutest thing ever. So coy. He returned the smile. She caught him looking at her lips so she gently bit her bottom lip building up her courage to ask:

"How about after your next lecture? I know a little diner not too far that has a decent dinner special. Olivia's?"

"I'd like that."

"Okay. I'll uhh, text you the address and time."

"Sounds good." his smile straining to contain his true excitement.

With that she turned and walked away. Glancing back just once as she walked out the door, but he had already disappeared out another one.

He was mid-way through his next lecture when he felt the phone vibrate in his pocket. He smirked knowing it was his dinner details finally coming in. He spent the rest of the lecture anxiously watching the clock waiting to read the text. The suspense was exhausting and exhilarating all at the same time. It'd been a long time since someone made him feel this way.

He was thankful he was able to book a room at the conference hall, he didn't have much time in between his last lecture and their meet time. A quick run up to his room, for a shower and a fresh change of clothes.

He got to the diner just as she did. She had also changed. Her hair was down now, covering too much of her beautifully long neck. She was wearing a necklace though, accentuating her collar bones. He held the door open for her as they walked inside. They sat down at a corner booth and exchanged details about their day. He loved the way her eyes glowed with every story that he told. She was genuinely interested in what he had to say. What he was interested in. Soon the anthropology stories ran out and they found themselves discussing some of the more personal details of their lives. Who they were, what they did, where they were from, where they'd been.

She was so intriguing to him. She was smart, beautiful, so pleasant to carry a conversation with. And best of all, seemingly interested in him. It hadn't fallen flat on him that she had one too many questions for a normal student. She wanted his time, his attention. And for her, he was willing to give it. It wasn't every day someone young and beautiful like her had given him much thought.

He was getting lost in her face. Her beautiful eyes so full of warmth. The light pink tinge of lip gloss that danced on her lips as she spoke. The random strand of hair that would fall out of place. She felt necessary to keep swatting it away. Willing it to stay in place but determined to not just shove it behind her ear. He could watch her for hours.

Sitting there watching her, imagining what her lip gloss might taste like, how soft her skin might be. At this point their legs under the table were so close to each other he could feel the heat emanating from her body. He felt himself getting arouse under the table. But for now he didn't care. It felt good. To want her, and feel she wanted him back. It had been so long.

He wasn't sure exactly what it was he said, but he made her laugh. She dipped her head down to muffle her laughter. When she raised her head, that pesky strand of hair fell across her face once again.

Without hesitation he reached across the table and stroked it from her cheek to behind her ear.

"There."

His chest tightening as the sensation overwhelmed him at just how soft her skin was after all. She smiled.

Good god that smile…

He pushed out his chest as he arched his back. Mostly an attempt to accommodate the bulge he was now dealing with in his lap.

It was clear they were running out of conversation as the physical response was taking over each of them.

She kept touching herself across her neck and her collarbone where he'd been staring. Every time she bit her lip she watched him squirm in his seat.

"I should probably get going. I still need to check in to my room…" she said.

"Staying at a hotel? Don't you live here in SF?"

"Yeah. I got a room at the conference hall. I live about 25 minutes out. But with the traffic, that can quickly turn into an hour. Figured a week away is deserved every now and then."

He smiled and was trying to determine if it was an invitation or not.

"Let me walk you to your car."

He was first to get out of the booth. Standing in front of her side extending out a hand to help her out. She didn't need the help, but took the opportunity to touch his hands. Rugged and firm. As she stood to her feet, he put his hand in the small of her back, leading her in front of him to exit. The touch of his hand behind her back made her legs feel like jello. It was amazing the effect the smallest gesture could have on her physically.

As they approached the door, he leaned forward on her left. Pushing the door in front of her yet still standing behind her. Leaning into her back. He was close enough for her to feel his body behind her and smell him. They had been sitting there for hours and yet he smelled as if he had just stepped out of an Irish Spring shower.

Walking out the door he gently placed his right hand in the crook of her left arm. Feeling the soft part of her arm just above her elbow. Gently grabbing her as if to keep her safe on the short walk to the car.

"This is me." she said pointing to a small blue Prius in the back of the lot. Coincidentally he was just two spots down from her. Approaching the car, he leaned forward to open the door for her until she turned to face him. Leaning into his already forward motion. Her butt hitting the drive side door, his hand grazing her hip as he retracted his hand. Slightly disappointed that his reflexes were too quick. He would have much rather had his hand pinned behind her.

He stood up straight and took a small step closer to her. He could feel her breath on his face.

"Thank you for answering my questions. I had a good time tonight."

He watched her lips as she spoke and licked his own longing for hers.

"So did I."

Her eyes were darker, a urge was growing, her eyes going back and forth from his eyes to his lips. Signaling to him permission to kiss her.

He leaned forward, raising his right hand to lean against the car behind her. His body aching to be pressed against her. His forehead touched hers first before he lowered his lips to hers and kissed her gently. Waiting for her to return the kiss. She took his lead and kissed him back while placing her hands on either side of the belt around his waist, pulling him closer. His right hand moving from the car to the back of her neck. His thumb gently rubbing the space in front of her ear. He deepened the kiss pushing his tongue into her mouth to which she took without complaint. She gasped as she felt his body lean against hers, pressing his bulge into her center. Too many layers of clothing separating them, she could still feel he was plenty to fulfill her. His heat pulsating to her center down through her legs like a rock causing ripples on a once still lake. The rhythm of their sloppy kisses matched with the slight grinding of his hips. Making out in a parking lot like horny teenagers. Neither of them wanting to stop.

She broke the kiss first, exhaling a slight giggle. Raising a hand to wipe some of the excess moisture from around her lips.

He winced realizing he may have been coming across more eager than what was cool.

"Sorry." he said with a sheepish look.

She giggled and put her hand on the side of his cheek.

"Why don't we take this back to the hotel. I'm in room 327."

He smiled and placed his hand on the side of her hip and reached around tracing the curvature of her body till he reached the door handle behind her. He popped the car door open, pushing her forward into him. He smirked and kissed her lips. Leaving a trail of small kisses down the side of her jaw to her neck. He could feel her pulse under his lips and it only made him strain more. He let out a small groan as he stepped back.

"I'll see you in a few."
