Before you start reading I just want to say I AM SOOOO SORRY THIS TOOK FOREVER! As previous chapter in my other story I have been busy with work, drama, etc. and the fact that...I'm not really a fan of Valentine's Day myself and nothing came to me! But, finally, here it is. Hope you enjoy :D

Kara watched from her balcony the people below readying themselves for Valentines day. Trying to hide their true intentions from their loved ones while secretly gathering information for their significant other's gift. She sighed softly leaning against the rails before turning around puffing her cheeks.

"Why are you so pouty, Kara?" Mrs. Christine asked her joining her on the balcony.

"Why are people making such a big deal about Valentine's day? Shouldn't you treat the one you love like their special everyday? I say this day is a waste of time."

Mrs. Christine stared at her for the longest time before standing beside her, looking up at the sky. "For some people they don't get to see their loved ones very often as others. So for them, it's an excuse for them to be together as one and enjoy their company..even if it's just for a day."

Kara glanced at her noting the softness of her voice, her brows lifting upward in a worried expression. "She must be thinking of her husband..." She lowered her head trying to think of something before the moment turns sad and lifted her head back up when she had an idea.

"You know..I finished my homework..and you have nothing to do...want to go see the guys and their Sensei?"

"But..what about Zach? You said they live in the sewers, right?" The overly protective mom instinct was showing thinking of all the possible dangers and especially the germs which was making Kara smile before grinning.

"Don't worry about it. I know a safe way to their place without going through the sewers. Come on, let's get ready. I'll let them know we're coming."

After getting off the phone with Donnie she looked over to Mrs. Christine who was in her professional outfit wearing a baby carrier in the front adjusting Zack in it while carrying a baby bag with diapers, toys, blanket, etc. "Ok, I'm ready." Mrs. Christine said with the most serious voice and expression but with Zack hanging from her stomach, it was hilarious.

Kara fell on the floor, bursting out in laughter slamming her fist on the floor. "You look so hilarious!" She continued laughing causing Mrs. Christine staring at her, her left eye starting to twitch before she pulled out her ruler, smacking Kara over the head with it.

"Owie!" Kara held her head trembling in pain.

"That's what you get, Kara. Well we better get going we don't need to be late and give them a bad impression." She said while walking away leaving Kara behind in pain. "Harsh...too harsh Mrs. Christine..."

Using the garage door key Donnie made her they walked along the walkway in the following the train tracks til they reached the entrance to the lair. "You're going to be surprised Mrs. Christine! The way the set up the area for living arrangements is very creative and cool."

"Sounds interesting I can't wait to see...it.." Mrs. Christine and Kara stood in place as the guys were screaming and throwing things everywhere.

"Guys, they'll be here any minute! This place is a mess!" Leo shouted while trying to sweep the livingroom, Raph dusting, Mikey organizing and putting away the dvds, video games, and cassesstes. "A,B,C,D...D...where's the Ds?! We have no Ds! What do I do?!"

"Go to the next letter!" Donnie shouts from the kitchen doing the dishes as fast as he could.

Kara trembled once more covering her mouth trying her hardest not to laugh at them scurrying around but froze when she felt Mrs Christine's icy glare on her telling her not to make the slightest noise.

Mrs. Christine sighed before taking a step further. "Ahem." She cleared her throat placing her clenched hand to her mouth and watched the guys freeze in place.

When they stood in line in front of Mrs Christine, Kara couldn't take it anymore. Falling to her hands and knees she was laughing so hard she was holding her stomach in pain.

"Y-You guys...looked like dorks!" She laughed some more before Mrs. Christine hit her on the head so hard she fell onto the floor a large bump forming.

Mrs. Christine wiped her hands before giving them a smile. "Hello, boys. I see you all have been busy." She chuckles before walking forward inspecting all of their work. "Hmm..not bad. Could be better. Anyways, I'm here to meet your Sensei. Where is he?" She looks around confused until sliding doors on her right opened to a tall, humanoid brown rat.

"What is all the commotion?" Master Splinter said before turning his head to see a woman and Kara, who was on the floor.

"I believe this is the friend you were telling me about, sons?" He asks, walking out from his room towards Mrs. Christine.

"Hello, Master Splinter." Kara said, snapping back to reality and standing up straight. "This is my teacher, Mrs. Christine. She uh..found out about them on accident." She said rubbing the back of her head nervously glancing up at Mrs. Christine but blinks is taken aback at her expression.

Mrs. Christine was staring wide eyed directly at Master Splinter. "Is that a Rattus Norvegicus?!"

"Uh...a what?" Mikey raised his brow in confusion watching her.

"It's the Latin name for the common rat. I use to own one as a pet. They are my favorite animals. They're small yet agile, fast, intelligent, and not to mention adorable!" Mrs. Christine voice had so much excitement...too much for Kara to take but what she did next would haunt her forever...

Mrs. Christine walked up to Master Splinter and began scratching him behind his ears..and Master Splinter was loving it! Kara stared in horror seeing a whole new side of Mrs Christine and Master Splinter.

Kara looked over at the guys and saw Mikey wouldn't stop blinking not knowing what was going on. Raph and Donnie were clearly in disgust and Leo...poor Leo, he looked like as if he didn't know how to take this but Mrs. Christine looked so happy.

It wasn't until Zach gave out a small cry that both Mrs. Christine and Master Splinter were snapped out of whatever they were doing.

"Who is this young one?" Master Splinter asked as Mrs. Christine took Zach into her arms.

"This is my baby, Zach." She said with a soft smile "Would you like to hold him?" Master Splinter had a surprised look on his face but had smiled. "Yes, please." He said just before Mrs. Christine placed Zach into his arms. When he was holding Zach he had the most gentle smile on his face, Kara staring at them in surprise but smiled and decided to leave them be, waving for the guys to follow her.

Closing the dojo door gently she still had the smile on her face.

"Dude, what was that all about?" Mikey asked placing his hands over his head and walking away Raph and Leo following him able to hear them talk amongst each other. Donnie walked over to her placing his hand on her shoulder. "I think things are going pretty well, don't you?"

"Yeah, though I think everyone is still in shock at what happened." She laughed softly before they left for his lab to hang out. "So, what do you want to do today?" She asked while she watched him work on the Shellraiser.

"I don't know. Training was dismissed so we could clean up the lair for your teacher's arrival and we won't be doing any patrols til later."

"I don't think you have to worry about patrols tonight, It's Valentine's Day, it'll be too crowded with couples and families to do anything secretive."

"Wait, it's Valentines day?!" Donnie asked his head jerking towards her direction in surprise making Kara blink. "Uh...yeah, why?"

"Well...s-since we're d-d-d-ating and all...shouldn't we be doing..you know..couple stuff?" He asked while twiddling his thumbs clearly getting nervous which made her giggle.

"We don't have to. I mean, celebrating Valentine's Day isn't really on my list of things to do.." She rubbed the back of her head, looking away with a blush across her cheeks. "I'm not really into all the love dovey stuff anyways. Hanging out here is fine by me." She said with a reassuring grin. "So, come on, what can I help you with." She punched her fist into her palm giving him a grin but blinked when he stared at her without saying a word before smiling and turning back to the Shellraiser. "Hold this up for me." He said while lifting the hood up.

Before they could continue their work both of them heard Master Splinter speaking in the livingroom calling all of them to the Dojo.

Arriving with the others she saw Mrs. Christine standing beside Master Splinter with Zach playing with some toys on his blanket by the tree. She had to smile at how adorable Zach was hitting his rings on the ground.

"Sit." Master Splinter said holding out his arm and they all sat in a line infront of them both.

"Now, as you all know Mrs. Christine and I have been talking about your recent studies with her and we have come to an agreement so, you all may continue to study under her. Master Splinter said with a smile.

Each of them had a different reaction. Donnie and Kara were excited both of them looking at each other with large smiles, Leo nodded with a smile on his face, happy to be continuing to learn different things, Mikey let out a loud, disappointed "Awww!", and Raph, as usual, didn't care.

Mrs. Christine was next to walk up, smiling at them. "We will continue lessons every morning as usual and just so you know," She began her smile now faded and a serious expression replacing it. "I will taking this seriously so I suggest you all do as well, specially you Mister Michelangelo." Her eyes narrowed towards Mikey.

Mikey straightened up, feeling shiver go down his spine hearing his name being called. "Uh, y-yes ma'am! Sir!" He said giving a salute.

Her serious expression changed to a smile and gave him a nod. "Thank you. Now, I believe that is everything. Isn't that right, Mister Splinter?" She asked turning towards him.

"Please, call me Yoshi." He said with a smile giving a slight nod to her. "And yes, that is all. You are all dismissed."

Everyone walked off, Mikey staying behind to play with Zach while Donnie walked over to Mrs. Christine and Master Splinter. "Um..Master Splinter, Mrs. Christine..c-can I talk to you?"

"Sure, what is it, Donatello?" Both of them asked at once making Donnie blink in surprise with a soft pink tint to his cheeks. "Um..before I ask..I don't know if you know Mrs. Christine but..Kara and I are dating.." He rubbed the back of his head glancing up at her nervously wondering what her reaction will be.

Mrs. Christine stared at him her face empty of expression trying to process this new information. "So, you two are dating?" She looked down as if contemplating over something, going through her memories and was finally able to put the pieces together remembering Kara was always around Donnie more than the others. "Ohhh, so you two ARE dating." Her voice soft, in awe and realization.

"Yeah, hehe..that isn't a problem, is it?" He stood up straight growing more nervous by the minute, a bead of sweat trickling down the side of his face.

Mrs. Christine stared at him for the longest time before shaking her head. "No, I approve." Giving him a soft smile he almost melted into goo right in front of them feeling relieved before standing up straight once more with a smile. "As you know, it's Valentines Day and I would like to do something special for her but..being a mutant doesn't really give me a lot of options...What would you suggest?"

"Hmm, well, if you want special it can't be something you do every day.." She began while trailing off in thought.

"Why not have a movie night?" Master Splinter asked. "She really likes those martial art movies."

Mrs. Christine shook her head and turned to him. "No, no, that won't do. They can do that every day here or at her place. It has to be special...you're an inventor, correct? Why not make her something?"

"But nothing comes to mind. My head is in such a blur I can't think correctly." He said with a heavy sigh. Mrs. Christine gave him a worried look before turning her attention to Yoshi, a sudden thought coming to mind.

"Why not have a picnic on the roof of her place? The weather will be cool and the moon is going to be full. That would be romantic. Don't you agree?" She said with a playful smile

Donnie began thinking his eyes slowly widening along with his smile. "That's a great idea! It'll be the perfect surprise! Thank you Mrs. Christine, Master Splinter!" He clenched his fist in determination and ran off to prepare everything but skid to a stop seeing Kara playing video games with Mikey and turned to the adults, pleadingly.

Mrs. Christine smiled before walking out to the livingroom. "Kara, help me gather Zach's stuff we should be heading home now." Kara let out an annoyed groan but got up. When Mrs. Christine turned her back Kara finished her fight with Mikey, winning the game and grinned widely with a laugh before running off leaving Mikey flailing his arms in the air.

"It was a pleasure meeting you, Yoshi. You've done a fine job raising your sons." Mrs. Christine said with a smile while placing Zach in his carrier holding her hand out to him. Master Splinter grabbed Mrs. Christine's hand and gave it a gentle kiss. "Pleasure is all mine, Mrs. Christine."

Kara stared in shock at what happened, her mouth hanging open and her eyes flying from one to the other but Mrs. Christine didn't seem fazed, only chuckled before turning to leave, handing Kara the diaper bag. "Let's go, Kara. See you all in class." She said to the guys before they both left the lair.

"Sons, time for some training exercises. Donatello will be excused from them, today." He said before turning to leave.

The last thing they heard were the groans of the guys and yahoos of Donnie before they were out of earshot.

"Sooo, about that..kiss on the hand...how come it didn't bother you?" Kara looked up at Mrs. Christine to see her rubbing Zach's head as he drank his milk.

"Because he was only being polite. Besides, I'm married so it wouldn't matter if something 'were' to happen."

"Oh yeah...speaking of that will you be seeing your husband tonight?"

Her eyes soften and she lowers her head. "I'm afraid not but that is alright, his job comes first." She said with a soft sigh.

Waving goodbye to Mrs. Christine as they departed ways she let out a soft sigh as the streets were even more busy with couples going out to movies, dinner, and what not. She shrugged her shoulders and left to her place suddenly wanting to be alone.

Once she stepped out of the elevator and to her place she showered, changed into her pjs, and laid down on the couch skipping through channels not really finding anything interesting on TV to watch. She let out a sigh before turning it off and just laying in silence.

It wasn't until she began to hear soft music playing that she slowly sat up with a raised brow then got up to see where it was coming from.

Going outside on the balcony it was a little louder and was able to pinpoint where it was coming from. Lifting her head towards her roof she raised her brow once more knowing no one could of gotten up there unless they were part of the staff, or her.

Curiosity getting the best of her she climbed to the top and to her surprise, she was greeted with candlelight surrounding a picnic basket with a pizza box under it, a blanket, some pillows, and the radio off to the side playing music still. She got to her feet and stared in awe at the sight. "Wow..."

Feeling arms wrap around her from behind she closed her eyes, smiling as she placed her hands on the arms of her boyfriend. "You know, you didn't have to do this, Donnie."

She turned around and had to giggle seeing him with a red bow around his neck with a nervous, goofy grin. "Heh, too much?" He asked pulling on the bow slightly with one finger.

"Ehhh a little." She giggled some more before turning around to look at the scenery. "This is beautiful...but-"

"Before you say anything else." He started placing his finger to her lips already knowing what she was thinking. "I know you're not into this but I figured..you deserve it for doing so much for us..for me that I should do the same for you." He said softly taking her hands into his, looking her lovingly into hers, the glow of the candles illuminating her eyes.

She reached her hand to his cheek giving it a gentle stroke with a soft smile on her face. "I love it. Thank you." They pressed their foreheads together before he placed his hand under her chin, lifting her head up to him and gave her a kiss.

She wrapped an arm around his neck pressing their lips to deepen the kiss. After what seemed like minutes they slowly departed, Kara giving him once last kiss, making Donnie smile and pressed his forehead to hers once more.

"Come on, your feast awaits, Milady." He said making Kara chuckle as he took her hand and led her to the blanket before setting out the plates, cups, and food which was Pizza, Pizza Gyoza, two cans of soda, and a large slice of chocolate cake.

Seeing the set up she laughed softly and looked at him. "You really out did yourself, Donnie."

He laughed while rubbing the back of his head. "Hehe, I don't really know what you like so I just got what I'm use to you eating." He said while pouring the soda into two cups.

"The chocolate cake is new though, did you make it?" She asked while Donnie handed her the cup while grabbing a piece of Gyoza and eating it.

"Yeah, I had a little help from Mikey. He wouldn't leave me alone til I gave him a slice but that is for last. Right now, cheers." He said holding his cup out. Kara grinned and gently tapped her cup with his and they both took a drink before beginning to eat.

Kara was leaning against Donnie with his arms around her and head on her shoulder as he pointed out different constellations able to see the stars clearly despite the lights and pollution from the city. She listened to him quietly feeding him Pizza Gyoza every now and then before looking over at the untouched cake slice. "Ready for dessert?" She sat up before bringing the cake to them and grabbed two forks ready to taste Donnie's baking.

"Wait." He said softly before cutting the first slice and held it up to her and smiled. "Hope you like it." Kara opened her mouth letting him feed her.

Blinking in surprise at how moist the bread was and rich the chocolate tasted she went to say something but blinked again when she felt something solid and circular in her mouth.

Pulling it out her eyes widened seeing a novelty ring in her hand with a fake purple gem in the shape of a butterfly.

Speechless, she looked up at Donnie seeing him red as a tomato. "I know it isn't much b-but I..I wanted to get you a gift. I-I fffound it on the ground near Murakami's bbbut don't worry! I washed and sanitized it three times so it's safe! I remembered you liked purple things and I thought you might..you know...like it?"

He looked down too nervous to look her in the eye but when he glanced up at her the nervousness was replaced with awe.

She had a soft, loving smile on her face that glowed with the candlelight. She looked down at it feeling tears in her eyes and let out a soft laugh. "I love it. It's beautiful." She threw her arms around him giving him a gentle squeeze making the ends of his mouth lift up in a smile before returning her hug with one of his own. "I'm glad you like it." He whispered softly.

She moved back and continued to stare at the ring before he took it from her and held up her hand, slipping the ring onto her finger. She stared down at it thinking she was going to wear it everyday and cherish it but sudden memories of her hat and it being lost forever ruined the moment.

Sighing softly she looked up at him then down at the ring. "I love it, I really do but I'm not going to wear it, not after this anyways. I've lost something that was precious to me once..losing this.." She couldn't finish the sentence the words stopping right at the top of her throat.

Understanding, he gave her a soft smile and brought her closer to him, wrapping his arms around her. "I understand, don't cry." He reached up gently wiping away the now falling tears with his thumb before leaning her head up to have her look at him.

They stared at each other for a few seconds before they kissed again.

Kara broke the kiss, the cool breeze making her shiver. Donnie smiled and brought out an extra blanket wrapping both of them with it and gave her another kiss before continuing to show her the constellations til she fell asleep in his arms.

Hearing her soft breathing Donnie looked down and smiled once more before laying his head against his shoulder falling asleep with her in his arms. "Happy Valentine's Day, Kara." He said quietly before he dozed off himself.
