AN: Hello all! So as I got so many lovely comments and messages from you guys saying you wanted more, I've decided to continue! It's taken me awhile to figure out where I'm going with this story (As I said before, I lost all the parts I wrote years ago when my computer broke and I can't remember what I was originally going to do) But I've finally had some ideas and now I'm really excited to write more. For those wondering if I'm going to keep going with 'Vacation' the answer is yes, I am! I'm just having some trouble with the latest chapter I wrote, and I have been so busy with work recently which means that unfortunately it's taking me a little longer to finish than I wanted it to. but it will be up soon!

Right, that's enough of my rambling. Enjoy!

I WISH

Chapter Three

Don't make deals with the devil

Sarah woke with a jump the next morning, last night's nightmare still playing through her mind. In the middle of the night it had made her very uneasy, and for a brief moment she'd almost wished she was back at home, in her bed, with her family in the next room and all that was familiar around her. But she knew it was probably because she was staying somewhere new. And everything seemed worse late at night. Eventually she'd get used to her new life at the castle. Still though, she wondered why she'd dreamt of The Goblin King stabbing her in the chest and then kissing her. She realized it was probably because he had played the villain when she was fifteen. And the kiss part… well, she had to admit, no matter how much she hated it, he was good looking.

She'd never admit it out loud, though.

She knew it was still early when she walked to the window; it was only just getting light outside and there was a blanket of fog covering the maze. She took a moment to enjoy the view of the Labyrinth with all its twists and turns. She was quite sure, that no matter where it was in the world, nobody had a view as nice as she did right now. She smiled to herself, deciding she'd get up now even if it was early. She was in desperate need of a hot bath after the freezing night she'd had. Her bedroom at her parent's home was always hot in the summer, but here in the castle it really was quite cold. She glanced over at the fire place and noticed that there was plenty of wood stacked beside it.

Yes, tonight she'd light a fire to take the chill off.

Looking around she wondered where the bathroom was. Surely they had bathrooms here? She couldn't possibly be expected to use that little wash basin and jug to get clean? And where on earth would she pee?

She walked over to the other side of the room. "Hmm… things aren't always as they seem in this place." She whispered as she slowly traced her hands over the walls, looking for an invisible door. She'd almost given up hope when she'd walked around the whole room and found nothing, but just by chance, she pulled back one of the large tapestries and was delighted when she found a door. Her fingers wrapped around the gold handle and with a little 'click' it opened, revealing a bathroom.

It was small, but that didn't bother Sarah. The walls were a dark plum colour; which seemed to make it feel all the more cosy. There was a toilet; modern, might I add. And small sink, it was gold and shaped like a shell. And last but not least, a huge gold and black bath tub; complete with claw feet.

She was relieved to see it was all done with modern plumbing. In truth she wasn't sure how she would have coped if it hadn't of been.

She turned on the taps and the bathtub started to fill with hot water, steam rising up. She noticed there was a shelf with a couple of glass bottles on it. Curious, she walked over picking up one of the bottles with some sort of blue glittery liquid inside. On the front of the bottle was a piece of paper that had gone brown with age. On it were some words, it read; Blueberry and Peach bubble bath. She tried not to notice that it was blueberry AND peach scented and she poured some of the liquid into the steaming tub. The water immediately changed into sparkling dark blue. It reminded her of a midnight sky.

Eager to get in, she stripped off her pyjamas and got into the tub, amazed that it was not too hot and not too cold. It was perfect. Slowly she sank into the tub and sighed in pleasure as the hot water relaxed her chilled muscles.

"I could get used to this…" she whispered as she ran her fingers through the water. It felt soft and almost milky to touch. The smell of blueberry and peach was strong, but not overpowering. It had been such a long time since she'd had an enjoyable bath.

She closed her eyes, savouring the moment.

Sarah's eyes opened suddenly and she blinked, trying to remember where she was. Plumb walls, gold detailing, that sweet smell of blueberry and peach, warm water…

"Fuck!"

She quickly jumped out of the tub and grabbed the large towel that was hung up on the back of the door. How had she fallen asleep?! She cursed herself as she flung the door open to her bedroom, moving the tapestry to the side, she glanced over at the window, she swallowed hard when she noticed that it was now at least midday. The sun was high up in the sky, shining brightly through the glass of the window, bathing the room in a golden glow. Every now and then the light would catch the particles of dust as they flew around the room softly, almost like little snowflakes on a winter's day.

She dried herself and quickly pulled on her clean jeans, and t shirt. If she'd had more time she might have considered wearing one of the gowns that hung in her wardrobe. But then again, she would be working soon and she imagined that wearing a dress would make it a lot harder.

Her stomach grumbled and Sarah cringed. She was supposed to meet The Goblin King for breakfast and he was meant to give her a list of the chores and she was meant to be doing them right now!

"Oh, fucking hell!" she practically screamed at herself. Her hair was wet and it stuck to her face. Well, she didn't have time to dry it. She was aware that she looked like a drowned rat but there were more important things at hand right now.

She cringed as she imagined The Goblin King entering her room this morning, only to find that she wasn't there. Why couldn't she of just stayed awake?

She swung open her bedroom door and gazed down the hall. The Goblin King hadn't yet given her a tour of the castle and she didn't know where she was going. After a moment she decided to take a left and hope for the best.

She jogged down the hall, hoping for a door or a staircase that could lead her back to the throne room. It seemed like the place she might find The Goblin King. But the hall kept going on, and on. And soon Sarah was running, desperately trying to find a door or anything that could lead her to The Goblin King.

As if things weren't going bad enough before, she tripped up on one of the rugs that lined the stone floors and fell to the floor with quite a loud thump. "Why!" she screamed and started to pound her fits into the carpet, her temper getting the better of her. "This isn't fair!"

"Be carefuls what ye' sayin', little lady."

Sarah stopped beating up the carpet and slowly looked up; her face went beet red with embarrassment from being caught acting like a spoilt kid having a temper tantrum in the middle of the hall. There in front of her was a short and rather stocky Goblin. His skin was a slightly grayish, greenish hew, and his eyes were red but with a hint of brown in them. He had wispy bits of dark hair sticking out around his face. Sarah took a moment to see what he was wearing. Tattered old clothing, and a hat that might once have been blue once, but was now very faded. It had a bell hanging on the end of it which made Sarah wonder how she hadn't heard him approaching her. He reached out a wrinkly long fingered hand to her and Sarah took it after a moment's hesitation. He pulled her to her feet and then eyed her up and down, a strange expression on his face and Sarah felt embarrassed.

"Stop that"

"Stop what?"

"You're starring!"

The goblin laughed. "You're the Sarah, aren't ye?"

"The Sarah? My name is Sarah if that's what you're trying to ask me."

The Goblin nodded "I thought it was ye' You're not exactly what I's been expectin' " he scratched his chin as he noticed her wet hair.

"And what exactly were you expecting?" she put her hands on her hips.

"I's be expectin' something much more Queen like for a Champion of the Labyrinth."

Sarah glared at him. This Goblin had a right nerve!

"I could be a Queen! Thank you very much! And I couldn't really careless what you expected me to look like."

The Goblin shook his head "Perhaps it wouldn't matter as much if the Labyrinth's Champion didn't throw away everythin' and wish herself back to the Goblin King."

Sarah's hands fisted at her sides. "Hey, you know nothing about my dealings with the King! How dare you judge me before you even know me!"

He rolled his eyes "I's be judgin' ye how I's like! You were the Labyrinth's Champion and ye threw it all away and what for? nothin!' "

Sarah stared at him for a long moment "Just… go away."

He shook his head "I's can't do that, Missy,"

"Why not?"

"Kingy asks me to fetch ye… now follows me." He started walking around the corner, not waiting to see if she followed him or not. Sarah did consider ignoring him and staying right where she was, but then again, she had been trying to find a way out of this hall for the last thirty five minutes and she wasn't getting any closer by herself. Giving in, she sighed and followed him down the hall.

Eventually they made it to a large dark wood door. The Goblin knocked three times.

"Enter"

Sarah's palms were sweating and she felt slightly nervous as she heard his voice. He didn't sound happy.

The Goblin pushed open the heavy door with an effort, it creaked loudly and the sound echoed in the hall. The Goblin bowed to his King; who was lounging in a boneless manner in his black studded leather chair. One of his legs was swung over the arm.

"Your Majesty, I's bring's ye the human."

"Thank you, Nugen. You may leave."

Nugen bowed once more and gave Sarah a nudge, pushing her into the room gently. She stumbled a bit and looked back at him. Nugan nodded to her. "Good luck. You's gonna be needin' it." And with that he closed the door, the sound echoing through the room.

Sarah took a moment to look around. This was The Goblin King's study that much was obvious. The high walls were covered with shelves which were completely filled to the brim with old books. Sarah's heart leapt in excitement at seeing so many books in one room. Her mind was briefly cast back to Mr. Grey, who had a library quite like this in his home at Oak Wood Manor. Although, she knew that the books held in this room were probably much older and more interesting than the ones he had back in the Above. She wondered then how many there were, and if there was anything that would interest her. Maybe one day Jareth would allow her to read one or two.

She finally tore her gaze away from the walls of books and took in the rest of her surroundings. There was a black desk which was elaborately carved with strange looking creatures that sort of resembled devils. The desk was piled high with stacks of paper, letters and maps. The floor was mostly clear but in the corners of the room there were more stacks of books and rolled up maps.

She finally made eye contact with The Goblin King. He was still laying back in his chair as though he didn't have a care in the world, but his eyes betrayed him. They looked dark, and there was no friendliness to them at all.

She watched as he looked at the ornate golden clock on the wall. "Sarah, would you mind telling me what time it is?" his voice lacked any emotion and Sarah didn't like that.

"Why? The clock is right there. Or can't you tell the time?" She said as she folded her arms.

Jareth arched an elegant brow. "Let me ask you again. Sarah, would you mind telling me the time?" He was trying to remain calm but his posture was suddenly stiff, and his jaw was tight.

Sarah hesitated and then glanced at the clock. "It's 13'o clock."

"Indeed… and didn't I say we should meet for breakfast to discuss your chores?"

"Yes, you did."

"Then why, Sarah Williams, did I find myself in your room, waiting for you to show up for almost an hour?" He was sitting up straight now, his eyes never leaving her.

"Because… I fell asleep." She admitted, trying to keep the embarrassment out of her voice. This was completely humiliating.

"Asleep? And where did you fall asleep, Sarah? You were not in your bed when I came into your chambers"

She groaned inwardly

"I fell asleep in the bath…."

Jareth stood and locked his hands behind his back. "I see. But why did you fall asleep when you knew you were meant to be starting your chores today? I can't imagine you'd be able to get away with such a thing in your world."

Sarah knew he was right. If she'd been late for work in her world she'd probably have gotten fired.

"Because… I was tired. It was very cold in my room last night and I had a nightmare so I didn't get much sleep. Besides, it's not like I intended to fall asleep. I woke up very early this morning and I was ready to start the day. I don't really know how I managed to drift off." She admitted

Jareth moved closer to her, his gloved fingers brushing over the dark oak of his desk which was thick with dust. "Are you aware that you have already made an error? It's your first day and you've already proved yourself to be irresponsible."

Sarah glared at him. "I'm well aware that I've messed up. But it was a mistake and I'm-"she paused, suddenly unable to finish her sentence. She wouldn't, couldn't.

"Say it!" He spoke through gritted teeth, his calm resolve was now gone and Sarah could see how angry he was.

She felt her own face burning with anger. Why on earth had she ever thought he'd changed? He was still just as cruel and arrogant as he always was. She was an idiot for falling for his nice act with her the day before.

"I'm sorry." she spat at him

"Your Majesty. I'm sorry, Your Majesty." He corrected her, tapping his foot.

Sarah's eyes grew even darker at hearing this. Did he actually expect her to call him that? She hated this arrogant jerk more than she ever thought possible.

"I'm sorry, your royal asshole-ness"

If looks could kill, Sarah would be dead. For the look Jareth was giving her right now was deadly and Sarah felt a cold chill run down her spine. She'd never been afraid of the Goblin King before. Not even when she'd first run the Labyrinth. Yes, he was dangerous, she knew that first hand, but she wasn't frightened of him. Now, however, Sarah did feel a little bit afraid of what he was going to do. She had just made the decision to live in his world, and become his servant. And she was living in his castle. Jareth held a lot of power right now and she didn't like that. Not one bit.

Regretfully, she corrected herself. "I'm sorry… Your Majesty."

He stared at her for a long moment before he backed away from her once more. "That's better… You're lucky to find me in a good mood today. So I'll forgive you. But don't get used to me being forgiving." He sat back down on his chair behind his desk and motioned for her to sit on the stool at the opposite side.

"I've written out a couple of rules I want you to read before I give you your list of chores." He picked up a stack of papers, searching through them until he found the right one.

"First rule is that you always call me by my title. Your Majesty, or Sire. Second rule is that you wear the clothes that I provided for you. You wished for a new world, Sarah, so you get everything that comes with it, which includes the fashion."

Sarah snatched the paper from him and read through it. Most of the other things on the list were the things he mentioned the day before. 'Don't mention our past, don't venture into the Labyrinth, do your chores daily, ect.'

"Do you agree to these terms, Sarah?"

She read through them once more.

The thing that bothered her the most was the fact that she couldn't even wear her own clothes. Yes, she loved the gowns that he'd provided for her, but that wasn't the point! She had no idea that her asking him to let her live in his would mean that she would be so controlled by him. She wasn't a child anymore and if she wanted to wear her jeans and t shirt one day, then she damn well would.

"I'll agree on one condition."

Jareth raised a questioning brow.

"I get the weekend's off and on those days; I get to wear what I want."

Jareth took a moment to consider this; he leaned back in his chair and tapped his chin with his long finger. Sarah didn't seem to care that he was taking his time making the decision. She just watched him carefully. She knew that her request wasn't a big one. And it wasn't as though she would be getting paid for any of the work she was going to be doing for him so surely he would allow her this one request. After a few silent moments, he leaned forward once more, saying quietly. "Very well, Saturday and Sunday you can wear what you wish and have time off."

"Thank you," she read over the rules again and then sighed. "Then I agree."

Sarah watched nervously as Jareth scribbled some notes down on the paper and then passed her the feather quill. "Sign it."

She met his gaze and then took the quill from him and signed her name, trying her best not to smudge the ink with her hand.

She tried to block out the voice in her head as it screamed at her "Don't make deals with the devil!"

Jareth had a smug smile on his face when he watched her shakily sign her name. As soon as she lifted the quill from the paper he snatched the contract back and read her signature.

He smiled to himself.

Finally, he had some power over her again. Sarah signing this contract had just allowed that to happen. True, it wasn't much power, but it meant that she had to abide by his rules and that pleased him. He secretly congratulated himself on this.

"Here are your chores for today. There may be things the other staff wants help with if you should finish your daily chores early; but this is what you must do each day, apart from the weekends." He passed her the list of jobs he'd spent much of the night writing out

Sarah took it from him and read through it, her eyes growing large.

"You expect me to wait on you hand and foot?! I thought I was coming here to help keep this dump of a castle clean not polish your boots and give you baths!"

Jareth furrowed his brow "And where does it say for you to give me baths?"

"It says it! Right there!" she pointed at his delicate hand writing

Jareth shook his head and a small smirk turned up his lips. "It says prepare my baths… not bath me. There is a huge difference. But please, feel free to say if you'd like to bath me as well. I don't have a problem with that at all."

Sarah's cheeks flushed darkly. "No! No, please, don't. I misread it."

Jareth looked disappointed and sighed, foraging sadness. "What a pity. That could have been fun for both of us."

Sarah shook the thought of bathing Jareth from her mind as quickly as she could and read through the rest of the jobs he wanted her to do. Most of them were personal but simple things.

'Prepare a bath for me daily. Bring me food at meal times. Polish my boots. Wash my clothes. Clean my rooms. Change the bed clothes each week,'

The list went on like this.

"So… basically I'm your personal slave?"

Jareth leaned back in his chair, folding his arms up behind his head. "Well, slave isn't exactly the word I was looking for… but yes, I suppose that is what you are." He grinned wickedly

Sarah threw the paper down on the desk and stood up from her chair "You had this planned all along didn't you?! Bring me here and make me a slave!"

"If you remember correctly, Sarah, YOU wished yourself back here and offered to be MY slave. You did all of this on your own. And I've simply been generous enough to grant you that wish in exchange for bringing you back to this world."

"You bastard… I don't know why I ever thought we could be civil to each other when you act like such a jerk! I don't know why I ever thought you'd be reasonable! You seemed so… different when I first saw you again, you pretended to be my boyfriend so that my parents would allow me to leave… why would you do that and then act like an ass?"

"Sarah, I do not appreciate the way you are talking to me. You will show some respect or I will send you back home without a second thought! I'm done with arguing with you, Sarah."

In that moment, she felt like telling him to send her home right away but then the thought of being back in her world filled her heart with sadness and depression. She had never felt like she belonged in her world. She only had Diane as a friend and even though she loved her dearly, they weren't really that much like each other. Diane never truly understood her. And yes, she missed her Dad and Toby, but the thought of living at home with Karen again made her shiver.

If she went back she'd have to go to college, learn about politics and go to law school. Something her Father really wanted her to indulge in. he was a lawyer and the idea of his daughter following in his footsteps meant everything to him. And she had absolutely no passion for it, none whatsoever.

She hated to admit it, but she felt defeated.

Regretfully she looked into the eyes of the Goblin King. "Please don't send me back… I want to stay. This world is where I belong. I'll do the things you want me too…"

She didn't miss the way Jareth smiled at hearing her begging him. This was all going too well. He could already feel Sarah was backing down and he was glad, but also maybe a little bit disappointed that she was giving up fighting him already. He'd expected much more of a fight from her. He knew now that he would easily get her to do what he wanted, and he'd have all the power over her...

"One more slip up and I will send you home… now leave. You'll be starting your work after you've eaten. I wouldn't see you starve."

Sarah was surprised by him saying she could eat first, but decided not to say anything. She picked up the paper from the floor and folded it up; putting it in her pocket so she'd remember the things he wanted her to do later. She walked over to the door, pulling it open. Just as she was about to walk out, she heard Jareth call her softly.

"Sarah?"

She turned around slowly

"Don't forget to change. I don't want to see you in those clothes a moment longer. Oh, and do not forget the discussion we have had today. I am very serious about everything I've said…"

She glared at him and stormed out of the room, slamming the door forcefully behind her.

Jareth leaned back in his chair and let out a breath he didn't know he'd been holding in. He was a fool. Being nice to Sarah when she'd first arrived had been a massive mistake, he realized. Giving her a nice room, a wardrobe full of lavish gowns and even giving her the privilege of having breakfast with him in the morning. He cursed himself for being so foolish. In truth, he didn't really know why he'd done it. All he knew was that he'd been far too generous with her. Perhaps it was because she was so beautiful... But just because she was beautiful didn't mean that she deserved his kindness and generosity towards her. So far all she'd been to him was rude. No, he wouldn't be blinded by her beauty anymore. If Sarah was going to be living here, she'd have to learn her place. She was a servant now; his servant. And he had the power to tell her what she could and couldn't do.

He conjured a crystal, gazing into it and watching as Sarah stormed down the hall, her arms folded, and her face red with anger. She was talking to herself, but he couldn't hear what she was saying; maybe that was just as well. For if Jareth could have heard her, he would have heard an awful lot of rude words being said about him.

After Sarah had eaten a light lunch, provided by a very strange looking Goblin maid, Nugan had once again turned up with instructions from Jareth to give her a tour of the castle.

It took almost three hours to give her a brief tour and she knew she'd probably forget most of what he'd showed her today. Maybe on one of her days off she could take some time to explore the castle in greater depth and familiarize herself with it.

She made light conversation with Nugan and found that he wasn't as mean as he first seemed. Although she wasn't sure she could forgive him yet for the way he'd treated her earlier.

He returned her to her chambers and glanced at the grand clock that was on the wall opposite her bedroom door. "Well, that tour took longer than I's meant it to. You'd better get ready to take Kingy his dinner."

Sarah nodded "I'll get ready now and then I'll go down to the kitchens to fetch the food."

"I's been asked to get Lilium to help ye' change. Kingy said you weren't accustomed to wearing the clothes that are provided for you here and it might take you some time to get used to it."

Sarah went to decline the offer but realized after a moment that he was right. Although she'd spent many hours playing dress up in her youth; she'd never actually worn a corset or a dress that didn't have buttons or a zipper at the back.

"Thank you. You're probably right; I will need help at least for the first time."

Nugan nodded and cleared his throat "I's better be on me way. Kingy has given me extra chores today and they won't do emselves' unfortunately."

Sarah bid Nugan goodbye and told him she'd probably see him later. Lilium turned up just as he left and Sarah was surprised to see that she wasn't a Goblin. In fact, she looked human. She was tall and her white blonde hair reached just below her waist. She greeted Sarah with a friendly smile.

"Ah, you must be Sarah. I have heard much about you. My name is Lilium, but you may call me Lily. I've been asked by his Majesty to help you dress. Is that alright?"

Sarah took a moment to admire in the beautiful dress she was wearing. It was long and pale blue, made of the finest taffeta. The neckline was a square cut and the edges were embroidered with pale pink and white flowers, and the material of the full length skirt seemed to shimmer when the light hit it. Sarah knew that this woman couldn't possibly a maid if she was dressed this finely.

"Yes, thank you. I'd appreciate the help." She allowed the woman to enter her room.

She strode in and gasped as she glanced around the room. "I'm surprised that his Majesty has given you such a beautiful room. And one so close to his own." She ran her fingers over the edge of the old oak bed and chuckled "Although, it wouldn't have hurt him to have it cleaned up a little before you came."

Sarah furrowed her brow "Doesn't Jar- his Majesty give all his servants rooms like these?"

Lilium laughed softly "Good heavens, no. most of his servants don't live at the castle, either."

Sarah looked confused and Lilium noticed this.

"Don't be alarmed, child. I'm sure it's probably because the deal you made with him was to live here; so he's given you pleasant chambers. He can be generous at times," she smiled to herself and Sarah watched as her hand slid upwards, her fingers delicately playing with the pale blue crystal stone she wore around her neck.

"Generous?" she scoffed as she walked to her wardrobe and pulled out one of the plainest dresses she could find that hung up inside. "I've never experienced any such generosity from him."

Lilium sighed. Jareth had warned her about the way Sarah behaved. She wondered how long he would be able to tolerate her rudeness.

"Indeed have you not? And I suppose that him allowing you to live in our world wasn't generous? Even though it is not usually allowed, many humans who have run the Labyrinth have wished to be part of our world and never has it been allowed by the King until now."

Sarah was curious as to why Jareth was allowing her to live here if he hadn't let others? Why had he made an exception for her?

"Why would the King let me live here if he doesn't allow others too?"

Lilium wondered the best way to answer her question as she watched Sarah disappear behind the dressing screen.

"I believe it is because you are the only girl to ever defeat him and the Labyrinth. Your will is as strong as his and he cannot deny your wish."

Sarah smiled upon hearing this information. This news would probably be very useful to her in the future.

She threw her t shirt and jeans over the top of the screen and watched as they disappeared, Lilium had pulled them off and replaced them with a petticoat and corset for her to change into.

"So… who are you? I've seen almost all the maids and servants here and none of them look like you," Sarah asked as she put on the petticoat behind the screen.

"I'm a friend of the Kings. I come and stay here when he requires a friend. He gets very lonely here and I can understand why. Goblins aren't exactly the best company and can't hold an intelligent conversation."

Sarah appeared out from behind the screen once more. She'd managed to put on the corset but couldn't reach to lace up the back. Lilium turned her around and started to tie it for her, pulling the ribbons tightly, cinching in Sarah's waist.

"If you aren't a maid then why did he said you to help me dress? Surely he could have sent a Goblin maid to help instead?"

"He did, but I wanted to meet you. I offered to help you just this once."

Sarah nodded and gazed at her reflection in the full length ornate gold mirror. She was at least a head shorter then Lilium, she realized. And much less pretty, at least in her opinion. Sarah had never really cared much about what people thought of her appearance, but being this close to someone so beautiful made her feel ugly.

Once her corset had been tied, Lilium helped her changed into a dark brown dress. It was made of linen and had no embroidery or anything to make it look pretty. It was plain and basic but Sarah had to admit that it was comfortable and fit her well. She blushed when she noticed the low cut neckline. Her breasts had been pushed up due to the corset being so tight, and the neckline to this dress did nothing to hide it.

Lilium smiled at her reflection. "Lovely. Underground fashion suits you well, Sarah. I bet you'd look beautiful in one of the nicer dresses hanging in your wardrobe."

Sarah shook her head "I doubt I'll ever get a chance to wear them. I'll be working most days and I'd never wear such lovely clothes like that if I was working, they'd just get ruined."

"The King is generous, Sarah, remember that. He may well surprise you one day."

Sarah shook her head but decided not to say anything more about Jareth. Lilium was just trying to make her feel more at home here and that was nice of her.

"Thank you for your help, Lily. I'd better get the King his supper."

Lilium smiled sweetly "It's been a pleasure to meet the champion of the Labyrinth. I have no doubt that we shall meet again soon." She turned and left the room.

Sarah glanced at the clock and realized that she was late again. She cursed and quickly fled from her chambers, running down the hall until she came to the servants' staircase that lead directly to the kitchens.

Jareth tapped his gloved fingers against the dark wood of the table in his chambers. Sarah was late. Again! What a surprise! He didn't know why he was expecting anything less from her. She'd already messed up once today, why wouldn't she again?

He leaned back in his chair, trying to ignore the growling sounds of his stomach as it begged for food. Thanks to Sarah, he'd already missed out on breakfast, and now it looked as though he'd have to miss dinner as well. He was just about to stand when he heard a quiet knock at the door. He smirked and leaned back in his chair.

"Enter"

He watches as the handle on the door moved as she attempts to open it while holding a tray. He heard her swear when it didn't open. He decided to help her out. He flicks his wrist and watches in amusement as the door suddenly swings open and Sarah stumbles in, almost dropping the tray of food on the floor.

His smile fades when he catches her glaring at him.

She straightens and strides over to him. Placing his tray of food down in front of him.

"Here you go, Your Highness." Her voice mocked him and Jareth glanced up at her momentarily, glaring before starting to cut up the food on his plate.

"You're late."

Sarah glares at him as he eats. "You insisted that I wear these damn clothes before I was allowed to see you again. It does take awhile to change even with help, you know."

He didn't appreciate her tone but he didn't feel like fighting her right now; He was too hungry. Perhaps later he would scold her for her attitude.

"Will that be all?" she asked coldly when he didn't fight back.

He motioned for her to fill his empty goblet.

Sarah rolled her eyes. It wouldn't of taken much for him to actually ask her, or even better, do it himself.

She irritably picked up the bottle and pulled off the cork, filling his goblet with a dark liquid that smelt like blackberries.

He raises his hand for her to stop once it was halfway filled, and lifts it to his lips.

Sarah crosses her arms and taps her foot as she waits for him to dismiss her, but he didn't. Instead he continued to eat his dinner and raised his hand when he wanted her to fill his goblet again.

When Sarah had filled his goblet once more, and he still had yet to dismiss her, she sighed and folded her arms again.

"Can I leave now?"

Jareth thought for a moment. In truth, he hadn't needed Sarah for anything. He was capable of pouring his own drink, and usually he'd much rather do it himself than have a servant wait on him hand and foot. But with Sarah it was different. He found himself enjoying tormenting her.

He glanced up at the moody expression on her face and did his best to hide the amusement he was feeling.

He gestured to his large bed, which was made of beautiful dark wood and carved with dragons and vines, making it look extremely mystical. It was a four-poster bed and there were a heavy pair of brocade bronze and dark blue velvet curtains on either side to keep out the cold on winter nights. The bed sheets matched them perfectly and when the bed was made, it did look glorious and inviting. But right now, it was anything but that. The sheets were in a large heap at the foot of the bed and several of the feather pillows were scattered about on the stone floor.

"Well, the bed won't make itself."

Sarah had to bite her lip to stop from screaming at him in frustration. He was more rude and arrogant than she'd first thought. She clenched her hands into fists at her sides, her knuckles turning white from the pressure.

Jareth looked unaffected by her obvious anger and leaned back in his chair, folding one slender leg over the other, lifting his goblet to his lips and taking a mouthful of the dark fruity liquid.

Sarah practically storms over to his bed, her face bright red with anger. She pulls the blankets from his bed in her fury, and they fall onto the floor.

Jareth smirks as he watched the dark beauty fight with his bed clothes. Watching as she lifted the heavy quilt, and with some effort, manages to lay it over the bed once more. Jareth felt a stirring in his loins when he saw her lean over the bed; the low cut neckline on her dress was giving him an extremely good view of her breasts. He shifted in his seat, suddenly very aroused.

He hadn't noticed when she'd first entered, but she suited the Underground fashion very well indeed.

Sarah was petite, and the dress she wore hugged her in all the right places; the corset had made her waist look even smaller then he remembered it looking before. He wondered then what she would look like in nicer clothes. Not that she needed fine clothes to look good. Sarah could wear anything and still look like a goddess.

He watches as she circles the bed, pulling the blankets straight on each side.

To him, she was absolutely beautiful. Probably the most beautiful woman he had ever met, but also the most argumentative and frustrating woman he'd ever met. He rested his gloved hand against his chin as he watches her bend down to pick the pillows up from the floor, this time facing away from him. Her skirts were long but he could still make out the pert shape of her ass. He secretly wondered what she would look like with nothing on.

As if sensing his gaze, Sarah straightened and put the pillows onto the bed. Not taking her eyes off of the Goblin King and he didn't take his eyes off her.

She wondered why on earth he was staring at her with such intensity. No doubt it was to make her feel uncomfortable while she worked.

She finally drew her attention back to the bed and finished plumping up the pillows.

She took a step back to admire her handy work and smiled to herself. It hadn't been an easy task due to the size of the bed and the weight of the blankets he used, but the bed was made and Sarah smiled proudly.

Glancing back at Jareth, who was sat rather awkwardly in this chair, she gave a smug smile.

"Bed is made, sire," There was no missing the sarcastic way she said his title, but it didn't bother Jareth. Not yet, at least. He was just glad that she was using it. He had not expected her to.

"Yes, I can see that."

"So… can I leave?"

Jareth gazes at her for a moment. "No." he rises from his chair.

Sarah stomps her foot against the stone floor, her temper getting the better of her again. "But I've done what you asked me to do!"

Jareth didn't say a word as he slowly approaches her, she swallows hard as she backs into the wall. His gaze was so intense and Sarah felt as though he was staring directly into her soul.

She gasps softly when her back finds the cold stone wall. Jareth rests his hand just above her head on the wall, looking down at her as though she is his meal.

She wanted to look away from him, but she would not be a coward and back down. Her will was as strong as his and she'd damn well prove that to him.

Jareth was surprised to say the least when Sarah didn't back down. He had fully expected her to look away from him and try to escape him, but she hadn't.

Her dark forest eyes sparkle with defiance.

After staring at her for a long moment, he decided to take this a little further. She'd definitely back down with what he was about to do next.

He slowly inclines his head, leaning closer to her, his lips mere inches from hers.

Everything in Sarah's senses were screaming at her to run away from this evil tyrant before her, and be damned with their battle for dominance! But Sarah knew that if she backed down now, he would win. And there would be no turning back after that. She had offered to be his servant in exchange for a new life here in the Underground, but she would show him that she was NOT his slave. And never would be. No, she would not back away from him.

Still, she felt herself go stiff as the lips of the Goblin King seize her own. Time seemed to stop and she felt her eyes closing as he moved his mouth over hers. She'd been kissed before, but this was like nothing she'd ever experienced. Her body responded to him and she hated herself for it, but he was kissing her with such passion it made her toes curl.

She felt the vibration of Jareth's voice through his chest as he chuckled, obviously thinking that he'd won as she had not fought him back. He went to move away but Sarah grabbed him forcefully by the shirt, pulling him against her as she leans up on her tiptoes, her lips crushing against his own.

Jareth was completely stunned by her actions, he had been certain that Sarah would give in, and she almost had, but now she was fighting him back with her lips, almost painfully.

He felt his body responding, and pressed himself against her. Sarah didn't even wince. Instead she continued to fight his lips with hers, her tongue forcibly battling his own. She presses her body against his; her nipples had become erect and Jareth could feel the hard buds through the fabric of her dress, pressing against the bare expanse of his chest where his shirt hung open.

He slowly let his hands slide around her waist, pulling her closer, pressing his erection against her stomach, waiting for her to startle and push him away, but to his surprise once again, she didn't.

Jareth pulled back for breath after a moment and Sarah took the opportunity to lean forward and bite his bottom lip.

He gasped in pleasure, but more in surprise. He wasn't sure what he was expecting from this woman, but it certainly wasn't that.

Sarah pulled back when Jareth didn't make any move to overpower her. He was stunned by her actions and she knew this.

He was gazing at her, his facial expression still one of complete shock. His chest was heaving, almost aggressively as he tried to catch his breath.

Despite being out of breath, she managed to speak with an even voice.

"I believe that will be all, Your Majesty?"

Jareth desperately tried to think of something, anything that could make him get the upper hand in the last moment. But he already knew that it was too late. Sarah had won the battle for dominance and there wasn't anything he could do about it.

"Y-yes… That is all…" his voice was shaky with desire, even though he'd tried his hardest to sound neutral.

Sarah smirked at him; her eyes flickering to his lips, which were swollen from their kissing. And then lower to the bulge in his tights, straining against the dark grey fabric.

Then suddenly, she bolted from the room as fast as her legs could carry her; Leaving a very aroused, and very stunned Goblin King...
