Alright, it's been awhile since I've done this. I decided that the original story of Lis Mon Amour aka Lily My Love was garbage and have rewritten the first chapter. Please be aware that the first chapter is mainly a flashback and because of this it covers events that happen over four and a half months. If you aren't okay with that then please feel free to skip to the end. Also, please be aware that there are two scenes of smut, you can skip them if you would like. I'm not sure when I will finish rewriting the second chapter. All translations can be found at the end of the story. If you want to please review. Criticism is welcome, but may not be taken as I know where the story will end up.

The tears began to roll down her cheeks as the ferry pulled away from the dock. Leaning against the railing Lily watched as the early morning misty rain concealed the English shoreline. Wiping the tears from her cheeks, she placed a hand over her barely there bump. It was raining that day too, Lily found herself thinking as her mind drifted back to the events that would lead her to this very moment four months ago.

- Lis Mon Amour -

Paris, France

Sunday April 1, 2029

Leaning against the railing, she stared down into the swirling depths of the Seine River as it wound its way elegantly beneath the Pont des Arts. The wild April winds were wreaking havoc of her wavy auburn hair, despite the low hanging pony, she had put it in that morning. Not that this bothered her at all. She had never been one to care what others thought of her appearance. She preferred to dressing for comfort over style something that made her cousins cringe in horror.

No, what bothered her the most was the waiting. She seemed to be always waiting. Whether for her acceptance letter to Hogwarts, her family members to arrive for one event or another, the dark wizards and creatures she was tracking to make the wrong move that would lead to their arrest, or for him she was always the one left waiting, and she was beginning to tire of it.

A hand lightly touching the worn corduroy fabric of her coat sleeve pulled her from her thoughts. Shifting her blue gray eyes slightly to the left, she took in the shaggy pale blond hair, slightly pointed chin, smirking mouth, and dark gray eyes of Scorpius Malfoy, her elder brother's best friend and the man she had been in love with since the age of nine. Sighing she turned to face him.

"Lily," he breathed softly as he pulled her to him and bent slightly to allow is mouth to cover hers. The supposedly chaste kiss of greeting lasted a few seconds longer than was strictly appropriate, and when it did end, they both had a soft rosy coloring to their cheeks that had nothing to do with the harsh wind. Resting her head against Scor's chest she listened to the gently thump of his heart for what seemed like an eternity, but in truth only lasted a handful of seconds before looking up into those dark gray eyes. As she stared into his eyes the rosy tint of her cheeks darkened; because even after five years of short whirlwind romances in Paris, whenever he and Rose were on one of their breaks, she still was not use to the naked desire that shone in his eyes when it was just the two of them.

"Walk with me," he begged of her quietly.

"Of course," she breathed as he released her from his arms and took one of her hands in his. Pulling her along gently beside him, they made their way to the closet apparition site in the city.

Pulling her close to him as they entered the Louvre – Rivoli station. Scorpius quickly apparated them to the Ranelagh station and led her back up to the street level before heading down Rue du Ranelagh and towards the Bois de Boulogne.

Once they entered the park, Lily spoke, "Scor where are we going?"

"You'll see love," he told her as they continued further into the park than they had ventured on previous outings.

When he finally came to a stop, they were standing behind the Cascade du Bois de Boulogne looking out at the lake and park surrounding them through a cascade of water. "The last time I came here on assignment Henri brought me here." Scorpius explained as he reveled in the look of wonder displayed on Lily's face. "I thought you might enjoy the unique view."

"It's stunning Scor," Lily whispered as she took in the budding flowers and leaves that were just beginning to shyly peek through.

"Not nearly as stunning as you are Ly." Scorpius whispered as he pulled her into his arms and claimed her mouth in a searing kiss.

Resting his forehead against hers when the kiss ended he stared into her blue gray eyes. Eyes that always seemed lighter somehow when it was just the two of them untouched by the harsh world they lived in. "I have something for you, and before you say anything yes I did have to get this for you. Ly, you've been a part of my life since I was twelve and you've believed in me for just as long. Even during the three years when we weren't speaking because of that bloody fight I knew you would always be there to help if I needed it." Scorpius rushed to tell her as he pulled a square green jewelry box tied with gold ribbon from his pocket. Handing it to her he explained, "This caught my eye when I was in L.L.C the other day and I knew it would be perfect for you."

Untying the gold ribbon Lily gently pulled off the lid and gasped. Nestled on a bed of black velvet was a lion and serpent photo locket. Removing it from the box, she tenderly ran her thumb over the detailed etching of the lion and serpent facing each other with mouths opened wide. She knew it was one of Lysander's designs, she had seen him sketching it the last time she had popped by to see Corentin at his studio.

"It's perfect Scor."

"I thought it fit us pretty well. You've always said that I'm a lion and snakes skin and I've said that you're as sly as any snake I know. I have one more thing to show you though." Taking the locket from her Scorpius opened it before returning it to her.

Etched in the hollowed out portion on the right side of the locket, in slanted writing that could only belong to Scorpius' were the words Lis mon amour and below that a tiny mouse. "Oh Scorpius is absolutely perfect." Lily breathed as her arms wrapped around his neck and their lips crashed together in a desperate kiss. "Do you mean it," she wondered aloud as she stared at words etched forever into the metal of the locket and her heart.

"Oui, Lily, je t'aime plus que tu ne le sauras jamais." Scorpius told her tenderly. Taking the box from her once more he pulled the locket from its box and slipped it around Lily's neck before tucking it under her shirt where it came to rest against her heart. "I don't know what will happen in the coming months or even years, but I do know that my feelings for you are never going to change."

"Ain't that bout the sweetest thing I've ever heard," a sickly sweet voice commented from the mouth of the entrance. Turning towards the voice, Lily met the harsh black eyes of Jensen Baptiste. "You're a little far from home aren't ya Malfoy?" Baptiste asked as he moved further into the rocky enclosure behind the waterfall, blocking them from the only exit.

"I wouldn't try anything if I were you Baptiste," Scorpius snarled as he moved slightly in front of Lily forcing her to step closer to the opening behind the waterfall.

"Who's gonna stop me Malfoy? Potter? Last I heard dear sweet Albie was tied up at the moment in Moscow." Baptiste said as he smiled flashing his yellowing teeth at them. "Let's play a game Malfoy. You win I'll let the girl live. I win they'll be lucky if they can identify by her dental records. How does that sound?"

"Depends on what the game is Baptiste," Scorpius replied calmly as he edged Lily closer to the opening.

"How bout a game of fox an hound," Baptiste asked wryly as he took a step closer to them.

"What are the rules?" Lily asked in a nonchalant tone taking another small step back and pulling Scor along with her, having caught on to what his plan was.

"They're really quite simple. See you two 'ill be the foxes and me boys an me 'ill be the hounds."

"How many hounds?" Lily questioned.

"How does four gainst two sound ta ya?"

"Sounds a little unfair if you ask me." Lily told him sweetly as she pulled Scorpius back another couple of inches. "Two against four and all."

"It's the fairest offer ya two are gonna get from me." Baptiste told her with a smirk.

"At least tell us who we'll be up against." Lily pleaded with him taking another step back. She was almost at the edge of the opening a few more steps back and they would be able to jump into the murky water below.

"I supposed ya right bout that." Baptiste told them as he stroked his dark beard. "Well there's me, an Tristian, Mac, an of course ole' Fen. I'm sure ya've heard of him. He was around when ya dad was a kid Malfoy."

"Greyback," Scorpius yelped in shock.

"Course Greyback who else would I be talking bout named Fen?" Baptiste said with a laugh. "Looks like even your girl knows who he is Malfoy." Baptiste added as he took in Lily's pale face. "So do we have a game or not hun?"

"Scor," Lily asked in a timid voice.

"Yeah we have a game Baptiste," Scorpius snarled as he tipped backwards over the edge of the opening sending Lily and himself tumbling into the murky lake water below.

Their heads breeched the surface at the same time that Baptiste let out an angry howl that inspired two more howls close by. "Come on," Scorpius said as he began swimming towards the closet bank.

When they reached the bank, Scorpius helped her out of the water before looking around. "I only heard two howl back," he muttered as he scanned the tree line for anyone or thing that didn't belong. Not seeing anything that required his immediate attention, he turned back to Lily. "Still got your wand?"

"Yes. You?" Lily asked as she pulled it out of her left boot.

"Yeah," Scorpius reassured her as he pulled his from the left inside pocket of his coat. "Let's…" he broke off at the sound rustling sound from a row of bushes behind him.

Catching a flash of movement to his right Lily shifted her eyes and took in the sight of a big burly man with sandy blond hair. Mac O'Rourke. "On your right," Lily told him quietly.

"Your left. Tristian Gravesin." Scorpius whispered to her.

"That just leaves Baptiste and Greyback unaccounted for." Lily muttered so that only he could hear her. "Stun on the count of three?"

"Yes. One….two…three."

"Stupefy," they yelled pointing their wands at the man they had each noticed.

The two men hit the ground with rather loud thuds. Their relief was short lived, as a rough bark of a voice spoke from behind Lily. "It's going to take more than a stunning spell to take out me and Baptiste Malfoy."

Turning Lily came face to face with Fenrir Greyback. "Bloody hell," Scorpius cursed when he noticed Baptiste behind him.

"Better start running pretty thing," Greyback murmured as he leaned in close to Lily's face. His putrid breath assaulting her smell receptors enough that she cringed back against Scorpius.

"Not fair! I wanted the girl," Baptiste whined making Greyback roll his eyes in annoyance.

"Nah you wouldn't know how to handle such a pretty thing. You can do what you want with Malfoy, but the girl is mine." He said smiling and Lily couldn't miss the oversized canines that were much longer than any other werewolf's she had met. "I'll give you a start pretty thing."

Looking to Scorpius she noticed him looking towards a trail that would lead her to a path and back to the main entrance of the park. Nodding her understanding, she sent a stinging hex straight into Greyback's face before sprinting as fast as she could towards the path.

As she tore up the trail she didn't dare pause for breath or even chance looking back to see if she was being followed. Years of training had taught her that sometimes the safest thing to do was run until you were in a terrain you knew. She finally started slowing down when she passed the children's playground. The Shakespeare Garden Theater de Verdure was only a couple of miles from here and it offered a wall that would allow no one to come from behind and give Greyback the false sense of having her cornered.

Reaching the outdoor theater, she leaned against the stonewall and tried to catch her breath. It wasn't long before she heard the sound of heavy boots on the trail that led to the theater and a light rain had just begun to fall when Greyback came into view.

Seeing her leaning against the wall he flashed her is horrid grin, "Naughty girl sending a stinging hex at me like that." He said as he came to stand inches from her.

"I like a little danger every now and then." She replied with a shrug.

"I think you like more than a little danger darling." He said with a laugh, before adding smugly, "Didn't think I'd recognize you did you Evans?"

"Didn't care one way or the other. You'll be in Azkaban by this time tomorrow."

"Don't bet on it darling. Lover boy might have taken out Gravesin and Baptiste and you might have gotten the better of O'Rourke, but I'm smarter than those three baboons."

"Then what are you still doing here?" Lily demanded of him.

"Just came to give you a warning is all darling." Greyback told her as he brought the nail of his right index finger to rest against the corner of her left eye. "Better start looking over your shoulder from here on because I'm coming to get you one of these days." He breathed against her ear as he slowly dragged his nail down from the corner of her left eye, over her cheek, and under her chin before stopping and digging it in right next to her jugular. "Until next time darling," Greyback said as he disapparated right as a viper curse shot towards him.

Gasping for breath Lily slid down the wall. "Ly," Scor asked as he knelt in front of her.

"I'm fine," she mumbled.

"No you're not you're bleeding." Scorpius told her has his thumb hovered over the jagged cut that started at her eye and ended at her jugular.

"I've had worse," she mumbled whacking his hand away from her throbbing cheek.

"Maybe, but how many of those were from a werewolf's claw?" Scorpius snapped \at her.

"None, and don't snap at me Scor. I'm not Amanda."

"I'm well aware of the fact that you aren't my sister Ly." Scorpius chuckled, "but, you'll still need to get that cut looked at. Come on I'm taking you to St. Rafael's." Scorpius said as he scooped her up into his arms.

"Fine," she grumbled, "but you don't get to tell my brothers or dad about this."

"Never Ly never, they'd kill me."

The healer assigned to her case was a middle-aged witch with graying brown hair and kind hazel eyes named Amie LaMotte. She reminded Lily a bit of her Aunt Fleur with her bedside manner.

"It's not nearly as bad as a first look would make you think my dear. But there's nothing I can do to stop the scaring as it's a cursed wound. Werewolf?"

"Yes," Scorpius answered for her from the chair that Healer LaMotte had forced him to take.

"Where on earth did you two run across a werewolf in Paris?" she asked as she pulled out a jar of sweet smelling paste.

"They seem to like the larger parks around here," Scorpius said with a shrug.

"Don't think I didn't see you wincing just now. As soon as I'm done patching her up I'm taking a look at that shoulder of yours."

"Yes ma'am." Scorpius said as he gingerly leaned back in his chair.

"Now this honeysuckle paste any above average positions master can make it for you dear, but I do recommend the Master Malfoy's brand. It works the fastest out of all the brands I've seen through the years. You will need to change the bandage and apply more honeysuckle paste it twice a day for the next five to seven weeks. I'll send you home with this jar, some extra bandages, and a potion for inflammation, but you will need to get supplies as soon as you return home. Now as I said before any above average positions master's brand will do for the paste, but if you want to heal quickly I recommend you send an owl to Master Malfoy's supplier before you head home. The man has a waiting list as long as the Eiffel Tower. I can give you his suppliers' card before you leave if you'd like."

Glancing over at Scorpius, she noticed the smirk forming on his lips. "That won't be necessary. Father will be more than happy to make you as many jars as you want."

"Only because that means you and my brothers won't be wasting it on every little starch and bump you get in training." Lily smirked back with a roll of her eyes.

Chuckling Scorpius opened his to take in Lily's smiling face, "Nah, he got over that years ago."

"That's you finished my dear." Healer LaMotte said as she put the lid back on the jar of honeysuckle paste before helping Lily down from the examination table. "Your turn dear," she said turning to face Scorpius.

With a sigh of defeat, Scorpius stood and took Lily's place on the table. "Shirt off dear." Healer LaMotte said as she pulled out another jar of honeysuckle paste.

Pulling his shirt off gingerly Scorpius resigned himself for the prodding and poking that came whenever a healer examined him for injuries.

"Your shoulder is dislocated," Healer LaMotte, told him gently before yanking it back into place. "I'll prescribe you pain drought to keep down any inflammation, but you'll needed to baby it for at least a week."

"Yes ma'am." Scorpius said with a nod his gaze resting on Lily who was sound asleep in the chair he had just vacated.

"Would you like a sling for it?" Healer LaMotte asked following his gaze to Lily. "She's quite a beauty. Have you been together long?"

"Yes she is," Scorpius, breathed quietly. "On and off for five years."

"A piece of advice dear don't let that one get away. Any woman who can go up against a werewolf and come away with only a slight starch is someone an Auror should never let slip away." Healer LaMotte told him as she applied a healing paste to one of the red marks that adorned his chest.

"I don't intend to ma'am." Scorpius replied with a fond smile.

"Well, that you take in care of love," Healer LaMotte stated as she handed Scorpius his shirt. "Now take that poor girl home and both of you get some rest."

"Yes, ma'am. Thank you." Scorpius said once he had pulled on his shirt and slipped of the table. Walking over to Lily, he knelt down and gently roused her. "Ly, sweetheart it's time to go." He murmured pressing a kiss to her temple.

"Okay," Lily muttered sleepily as her eyes blinked open. Standing she stretched her back muscles and smiled up at

When they finally arrived at the hotel that Scorpius had booked for them, he guided her to the lift and up to their room on the fifth floor. Once they had reached their room, Scorpius headed for the bathroom leaving Lily to look around the room. Sliding her coat from her shoulders, she laid it over the back of the armchair before pulling off her boots and socks. Looking around the room, her eyes are drawn to the two French windows. Moving to the one closest to the door Lily opened it and leaned against the window frame staring unseeingly at the street below.

She was still standing there when Scor emerges from the bathroom ten minutes later dressed only in a pair of lose fitting black pants. "Ly," he questioned softly as he wrapped his arms around her waist and pulled her against his chest, "are you alright?"

"I'm fine." After a few minutes of silence, she asked the question she had been dreading since Baptiste had first appeared. "Will this be the last time we meet like this Scor?"

"If I love you as much as I claim it should be Ly, but Merlin save me I'm a rather selfish bastard and I can't bare the thought of never holding you, kissing you, or making love to you again Ly." Scorpius whispered as he placed a loving kisses along the length of her neck.

"I couldn't bare it either Scor," Lily whispered to him as she turned in his arms to place a kiss to his mouth.

Breaking the kiss Scorpius led her to king bed. Pushing on his chest gently Lily forced Scorpius to sit on the bed. Then stepping back from him she pulled her blue striped shirt slowly up and over her head before letting it drop on the floor behind her. Next were her dark jeans that slid down her narrow hips to pool at her feet. Stepping out of them, she kicked them to join her shirt before crawling onto Scorpius' lap. Cupping his face in her hands, she lowered her mouth to his in a searing kiss. She could feel his hard length pressed against her as she pushed him back gently to lay flat on the bed. Sliding down the length of his body her skillful fingers found the waistband of his pants before tugging them down and off. Her skillful hands encircled his length as she stroked him.

"Ly," he gasped as he grabbed her wrists and pulled her hands from him. He guided her until she was kneeling over him once more. He hooked his thumbs into the waistband of her lacy panties and slid them down her long slender legs. Tossing them off to the side, he lined himself up and thrust into her. Groaning at the feel of her surrounding him. He stilled as she began to move slowly at first before quickening the pace until they both fell over the edge into bliss.

"Merlin Ly, I love you," he gasped when he could finally speak again.

"I love you too Scor," Lily told him quietly as she curled into his side her head resting on his chest.

Kissing her atop the head Scorpius smiled. They had six more days together in Paris before they returned to London.

The early morning light filtering in through the windows woke them the next morning. Careful of his injured shoulder Scorpius sat up in bed and leaned against the pillowed headboard. Looking down he met Lily's blue-gray gaze with a smile. "Moring love."

"Moring," she replied as she too sat up drawing her knees to her chest she leaned back against the headboard and closed her eyes.

"I've been meaning to talk to you about something." Scorpius said quietly.

"What is it?" He could hear the worry laced into her voice.

"It's nothing bad I promise. I'm just tired of only spending time with you in a foreign country when we both have a spare moment, " he told her quickly adding, "and I know that neither of us are ready to go public with this thing between us or tell our families. I thought we could still try seeing each other when we go home."

"What about Rose?" Lily asked eyes open and staring at him now.

"We're through."

"For good?"

"Yeah, I'm tired of being the puppy that comes running whenever she snaps her fingers. What do you say Ly? Are you willing to put a label on our relationship?"

"I was ready five years ago Scor," Lily told him as she leaned over and kissed him. Breaking the kiss she stood and gave him a sly smirk as she said, "I'm going to take a shower. Join me?" she asked as she reached the door to the bathroom.

"Always," Scorpius told her as he made to join her.

- Lis Mon Amour -

When they left, Paris six days later the two had agreed to continue seeing each other when they returned home, but not to tell anyone until the news of Scor's latest breakup with Rose had run its course. At St. Pancras International station in London, they parted ways with a kiss and the promise to see each other later that week.

Lily groaned as she emptied the contents of her stomach into the toilet for the fourth time that morning. She was getting seriously sick of being sick and was considering calling Beck to see if he could get her an appointment with the team's head healer. Getting up from her crouched position over the toilet, she made her way to the sink where she rinsed out her mouth and splashed cold water on her face. The soft ping and lit screen of her phone made her reach for her phone. Checking to see if she had a new message, she noticed the notification from the period tracking app she used. Clicking on it, the login in screen appeared and after logging in the bunny icon popped up telling her, 'You haven't logged your period in ninety-five days. Did you forget?'

"Fuck," Lily yelped as she swiped back through the months until she came to one that had the pink coloured blocks to show the days when she had last had her period in March. Racking her brain, she tried to remember if she had missed taking her pills any day since her last cycle, but she couldn't recall any missed days. "Oh shite the pain potion," Lily mumbled under her breath. Shaking her head to clear it, Lily sent a quick message to Beck asking him to get her an appointment with one of the approved team healers today.

It took Beck about five minutes to respond telling her that she has an appointment in forty-five minutes with Healer Hickens and to let him know what the bloody hell is going on.

Making her way out of the bathroom, she headed back round the corner to her room to get dressed. Fifteen minutes later after pulling on a warm knit sweater, a pair of jeans, and pair of tennis shoes Lily grabbed her bag and headed to her appointment.

Ninety minutes later, she had a write up from her appointment with a confirmed positive pregnancy test, a sonogram picture, and several prescriptions for prenatal vitamins and morning sickness. Shoving the door to the flat she shared with her cousins Lucy and Rose open Lily walked right into Lucy. "Sorry Lu," she mumbled as bent down to help her cousin pick up the papers that she had knocked out of her hands.

"Don't worry about it Lil." Lucy said as she picked up a small square shaped paper from the floor. Turning it over she froze when she found herself staring at a sonogram picture of an approximately twelve-week fetus. "Um Lil is this yours?" Lucy asked quietly.

Glancing at the paper in Lucy's hand Lily froze. "Yeah it is. Please don't tell anyone I just found out and I still need a little time to wrap my head around it."

"Oh, sweetie. Do you know who the father is?" Lucy asked tentatively.

"I'm not Rose Lu. Of course I know who the father of my baby is." Lily snapped at her.

"Are you going to tell him?"

"Yes Lu I'm going to tell him, but that's going to be a bloody cluster fuck in its own right." Lily said dryly.

"Why," Lucy asked confusion written all over her face.

"Because of who he is and when we conceived." Lily muttered with a sigh.

"Come on let's make a cup of tea and you can tell me everything," Lucy said pulling Lily into the kitchen of their flat.

Ten minutes later a cup of steaming tea in front of her Lily took a deep breath began telling Lucy everything.

"Do you remember that fight I got into with Scorpius during my fifth year his seventh?"

"How could I forget? The two of you didn't speak to each other for three years Lil." Lucy told her with a snort.

"Yeah well we never told anyone what lead to our reconciliation. It was the night of his mother's funeral. I found him drinking a bottle of Fire Whisky out in the gardens at the Malfoy estate and we ended up getting drunk. Well one thing led to another and we ended up sleeping together that night."

"You had sex with Scorpius Malfoy? Rose's Scorpius?" Lucy yelped in shock.

"He wasn't Rose's Scorpius at that point she had dumped him for Collin again the week before and yes I did. Well, the next morning we talked and agreed that while the sex had been fantastic it could never happen again, and a few weeks later, he and Rose were back together for that eight-month stretch.

When they broke up again, dad sent Scor to Paris on assignment and I was there for a conference and we ran into each other and ended up getting into a heated disagreement, and then he kissed me and somehow we ended up in bed again. We ended up sleeping together a total of five times that year before we came to an agreement that whenever we were both single and could take time off for the same week we'd meet in Paris, and for the past five years, we've kept this agreement.

But, this last time Lu, we agreed to try for real, but we didn't want to tell anyone until the gossip on Scor and Rose's breakup had run its course."

"And of course figured out a way to tell Al so he wouldn't kill his best friend," Lucy said with a smile.

"Well, yeah that too." Lily said with a laugh.

"Well, you're going to have to tell them sooner or later Lil, you're twelve weeks you'll start showing in couple more." Lucy pointed out.

"I know, but I have to tell Scorpius first." Lily said sadly.

Glancing at the clock Lucy said, "Why don't you tell him now he and Al should be home in five minutes."

"I think I will," Lily said as she slid off her chair and headed for the door.

Smiling after her Lucy gathered her papers before leaving as well.

A little while later Rose Weasley walked into her shared flat and made her way to the kitchen. "Lucy! Lily! I'm home," she called as dropped her coat and bag on the island counter. When what looked like a black and white photograph lying on the counter caught her eye. Picking it up she saw that it wasn't a photograph, but a sonogram of a twelve to fourteen-week-old fetus. A small mischievous smile played across her lips. This was exactly what she needed to get Scorpius to come crawling back to her. Pocketing the sonogram she head to Albus and Scorpius' flat.

Lily, who had just gotten to Al and Scor's flat, cursed when she realized she had forgotten the sonogram on the island countertop. Turning back, the way she had just come she headed home to get it.

- Lis Mon Amour -

The knock on the door surprised Scorpius and Albus who weren't expecting any visitors that evening. "I'll get it," Albus called to Scorpius as he headed to the front door. "Rose what are you doing here?"

"I…I….I need to talk to Scorpius. Is he here?" She asked tearfully.

"He's in the kitchen. Come in and I'll let him know you need to talk." Albus told her as he ushered her to the one of the armchairs in the living room. Walking back into the kitchen Albus said, "Hey Scorp, Rose is here and she needs to talk to you. She looks like she's about to cry go easy on her please?"

"Fine," Scorpius grumbled as he threw the dishtowel down on the counter and headed into the living room. "Why are you here?" Scorpius ask sharply as he came to face Rose.

"I have something I have to tell you Scorp." Rose murmured.

"Well get on with it then."

Pulling the sonogram from her pocket, she handed it to him before continuing, "I'm about fourteen weeks along. It's yours."

"You have got to be bloody kidding me," Scorpius snarled as he stared at her in disbelief.

"Trust me I wish I was," Rose assured him.

"Fuck," Scorpius groaned as he ran his hands through his blond hair.

"Look I know you said we were done for good this time, but I think given the circumstances we need to reevaluate continuing our relationship." Rose said softly.

"No! I am not getting back together with you because of this Rose. No way in hell is that ever going to happen!" Scorpius snarled angrily at her.

"Really Scorp think of someone other than yourself for once. Think about how this is going to affect your father, sister, grandparents, and cousins lives. Your family's reputation has barley recovered since the war this would ruin it." Rose pointed out smoothly. "We could get married and then divorce after the baby is born."

"Fine," Scorpius snarled at her. "I'll marry you, but as soon as the baby's born we are getting divorced."

"Wonderful we can tell everyone at the Burrow next week for dinner. We'll need to get married quickly. I don't want to be showing in any of my wedding pictures. Oh, I have so much to do. I'll see you next Friday for dinner Scorp." Rose said as she jumped to her feet and hurried out of the flat leaving Scorpius still clutching the sonogram, of unknown to him his and Lily's child.

Once Rose had left, Albus came into the living room. "Are you alright," he asked his best friend.

"Not really," Scorpius said as he looked up at his best friend. "Rose is pregnant and now I have to end things with the woman I love to marry Rose for the sake of the baby and my family's reputation."

"Merlin Scorp. How are you going to do that?" Albus asked his heartstrings tugging at the hopelessness in his friend's voice.

"I don't know. I've got to go," Scorpius, said surging to his feet.

- Lis Mon Amour -

The knock on the door startled Lily who was franticly searching for the sonogram to give to Scorpius. Yanking the door open, she found a distraught Scorpius on the other side. "Scor, what's wrong?"

"We need to talk." Scorpius told her softly slipping into the flat and closing the door behind him. Taking her by the hand, he led her into her bedroom before closing the door and casting a silencing charm for good measure.

"Scor, you're scaring me, what's wrong?" Lily asked softly as she brushed the tears that were string to fall from his eyes away.

"I…I…we…we have to end this Lily." He told her quietly his voice breaking a little as he pushed her hands away from his face.

"Why, Scor?" Lily asked in a voice clouded in fear.

"I realized that my reputation, my family's reputation couldn't survive the scandal if news of our affair broke." Scorpius told her flatly staring at a spot above her head.

"You didn't care about that twelve weeks ago." Lily told him sternly. After a few minutes during which neither spoke she added, "Scor I've known you for twelve years I know when you're lying to me. Just tell me what's really going on! Please?"

"I can't Ly….I just can't," Scorpius told her brokenly sliding down her door to sit on the floor.

Kneeling in front of him she cupped his face in her hands and looked into his pain filled dark gray eyes. "Whatever it is we can get through it together."

Shaking his head he whispered, "Not this Ly. We can't get through this together."

"You don't know that," Lily told him tenderly.

"I do. You'll hate me when you find out Ly and I'd rather you hate me for breaking your heart than go another three years without speaking." Scorpius whispered.

"Alright," Lily whispered as she leaned in and brushed a tender kiss against his lips.

Deepening the kiss Scorpius pulled her to him, and when they finally broke the kiss panting for breath she stood and led him to her bed. Their loving making was slow and tender both knowing in their hearts that this would be the last time they would be together for many years. When the first light of dawn broke through her bedroom window Scorpius held her to him before giving her one last tender kiss and leaving. Once he had left Lily allowed herself to cry for the love she had lost, and knowing that she still had to find a way to tell him and her family that she was pregnant. Resigning herself to wait a few more weeks befote sharing her happy news she got up and prepared for the day.

The Burrow

Friday, July 13, 2029

Lily was among the last of the Weasley-Potter bunch to arrive for the monthly dinner at Nana and Granddad's house. When she got there, she found her bothers, Fred, and Teddy arguing about the latest political scandal surrounding the Ministry while her mum and aunts were helping her Nana in the kitchen.

"Hello, dear," Molly Weasley said pleasantly as she caught sight of her youngest granddaughter. "How have you been? You're looking a bit peaky."

"I'm fine Nana," Lily assured her as she swallowed down the bile rising in her throat at the smell of the raw meat cooking.

"Are sure darling? Why don't you go get a breath of fresh air in the garden? Rose is out there and she mentioned wanting to talk to you before dinner." Molly told her already shooing her out the door.

Out in the garden Lily found Rose sitting on the bench that Teddy had helped her build when she was five. "Hey, Rose, Nana said you were looking for me." Lily said quietly as she sat down beside her cousin.

"Oh, Lily you have absolutely perfect timing." Rose gushed, as she took Lily's hands in hers. "I have absolutely wonderful news and I wanted to tell you first." Rose continued. "I'm engaged!"

"That's wonderful," Lily said excitedly as she smiled at her cousin. "Colin and you are finally getting married?"

"No silly Scorp and I are getting married in September and I want you to be my maid of honor." Rose told her with a laugh.

"Oh, I didn't know you and Scor were even back together." Lily said trying and failing to keep the shock from her voice.

"It's a recent development," Rose explained kindly. "We're telling everyone at dinner tonight. So will you be my maid of honor Lily? Please? I don't know what I'd do if you were to say no." Rose pleaded with her.

'I'll be twenty-four weeks in September.' Lily thought to herself. 'I can't be in Rose's wedding she'd never forgive me if I stole attention away from her on her wedding day. It's better if she thinks I'm being selfish than trying to steal the show.'

"I'm sorry, but I can't Rose." Lily told her rising to her feet. "Congratulations on your engagement."

"Oh Lily, please tell me you aren't still nursing that silly girlhood crush on Scorp." Rose said crossly.

"No, of course not Rose. I haven't had a crush on Scor since I was thirteen." Lily said softly.

"Then why won't you be my maid of honor," Rose demanded harshly.

"Because I'm taking my holiday in September," Lily snapped angrily as she turned on her heel and headed back into the kitchen. "Nana, I'm sorry, but I'm heading home."

"Why sweetie?" Molly asked as she raked her gaze over her granddaughter. Noting the unshed tears in the girl's eyes.

"I'm not feeling very well after all," Lily said as she brushed a kiss to her Nana's cheek before heading for the front door.

"Feel better sweetie," Molly said watching her granddaughter leave. She could not shake the feeling that it would be awhile before she saw Lily again.

As she walked out the door, Lily came face-to-face with Scor. Stopping in shock, she searched his face for any kind of joy about the announcement he and Rose would be making to her entire family in little more than an hour, but found only an unspeakable sadness that seemed to have a grip on his very soul. "I was just leaving." She told him quietly as she made to move pass him.

Without thinking, Scorpius reached out and took hold of her upper arm. "Let me walk you out Ly, please?"

It was the please that did it. "Alright," Lily said nodding her head.

The walk was short over in a matter of minutes really, but to the two of them it seemed to take an eternity to reach the edge of the protective charms placed over the Burrow. "I hear congratulations are in order." Lily told him quietly.

"I don't want your congratulations Ly."

"Why not?"

"This marriage isn't something that deserves congratulations." He snapped, after a moment he added, "I told her not to tell you, that I wanted to tell you."

"You know how Rose is," Lily replied with a shrug.

"Why?"

"She wants me to be her maid of honor. I told her I couldn't, that I'm taking a holiday in September. I don't think she's too happy with me at the moment, but I find I don't really give a flying rats arse if she's happy with me or not."

"You're not really going on holiday are you?"

"Honestly I might." Lily said turning to look out at the fields that surrounded them. "I can't go to the wedding Scor she'd never forgive me if I did."

"Why not," Scorpius asked the confusion clear in his voice.

"Because I'm," Lily began. She desperately wanted to tell him that she was pregnant. That she would be six months pregnant with their baby, and couldn't bear to be the reason that her own cousin would be outshined at her own wedding, but if she did that then who knew what Scor would do. "not sure I won't object when asked if there's a reason you two shouldn't be married."

Laughing Scor cupped her face before leaning in and kissing her tenderly. "I wish you would Ly. Merlin how I wish you would, but I don't think Rose or Al would ever forgive me if I told all of the guests that you're right and I can't marry Rose because I'm in love with you. Hell, I'm pretty sure your dad would sack me right there."

"He wouldn't. There's a huge long process for firing an Auror." Lily told him with a small smile.

"Don't think that would stop him Ly, at least not where you're concerned." Scorpius told her as he pulled her into a hug. "Have fun on your holiday. I'll see you when you get back." Scor whispered in her ear as he slipped something into the left pocket of her coat and what looked to be a letter into one of the inside pockets. "Don't open that until you're sure you're alone." Kissing her on the forehead, he watched as she disapparated.

Walking into the Burrow a few minutes later he smiled at the chaos unfolding around him. Slipping into the kitchen, he greeted Mrs. Molly with a kiss to her cheek before helping set the table for dinner.

"Where's Lily," Mr. Potter asked looking around for his youngest as they sat down to dinner.

"She left; the poor dear wasn't feeling very well Harry. She must have caught that bug that's making the rounds." Molly told her son-in-law as her eyes shifted towards the clock on the mantel. Taking note that Lily's hand was between traveling and home.

Noting the look of worry that was adorning her Uncle and Aunt's faces Lucy gently told them, "Don't worry Uncle Harry and Aunt Ginny, I'll check-in on her when I get home."

"Thank you Lu," Ginny told her smiling. "Let me know if she needs anything please." Nodding at her Aunt, Lucy's eyes found the clock as well and a small frown marred her brow as she noted where Lily's hand was.

Lily wasted no time in packing the entire contents of her room into her rucksack. When she had finished she sat down at her desk and quickly wrote three letters. One to Lucy and Rose, another to her parents, and the final one to Beck Shaughnessy, her handler for the S00A program. Finishing her letters Lily crawled into bed exhausted and feel into a dreamless sleep.

It was early the next morning when Lily rose and slinging her rucksack over her shoulder, she began her weeklong journey to one of the seaport towns along the southern coast. Yes, she could have used magic to get there sooner, but magic was trackable and while traveling the muggle way was still traceable anyone looking for her would have a harder time tracking her down this way than if she were to simply apparate to where she was going. Besides this way, she would get to see part of the country before she left.

The loud blast of the ferry's whistle and a strong sea wind startled Lily from her musings. Rubbing her hands together to warm them up before quickly stuffing them in the pockets of her coat. Feeling something hard in her left pocket, she pulled out the little round jewelry box that Scorpius had slipped into her pocket last night as he hugged good-bye, for, unknown to him, the last time.

It was an antique box adorned in the Slytherin house colours with two ornate sliver snakes embracing. Opening the box Lily stared in shock as the round emerald and diamond ring set in gold that twinkled up at her from its bed of black velvet. Confusion marred Lily's brow the longer she stared down at the ring. Frowning she recalled the letter that Scor had slipped into the inside pocket of her coat. Shoving the ring back into her pocket she pulled out the letter. Hands shaking she opened the envelope and pulled out the folded letter inside.

My Darling Mouse,

When I graduated from school, my father told me the tragic love story of the first head of the Malfoy family who had fallen in love with a woman that he could never marry. Theseus was forced to marry another woman, Irene, whom he grew to care for deeply, for the sake of his family, but he never forgot his true love Asteria. He was heartbroken as he told Asteria that he was to marry Irene. Asteria told him that she understood and that her heart would always be his.

After years of marriage, Irene died giving birth to their only child a son named Lynceus. Years later, a beautiful emerald green-eyed blonde haired woman saved an eleven-year-old Lynceus from a watery grave. Lynceus was so grateful to her that he insisted she must come and break her fast with him as a thank you for saving his life. The woman agreed after Lynceus' persistent begging and followed him back to his home. There Lynceus begged their cook to prepare a meal for the lovely lady whom had saved his life.

As he severed the meal to the two of them Ajax's gaze landed on the woman for the first time and in shock he dropped the pot he was holding as he realized that the woman before him was the Princess of the isle of Corfu. The noise of the pot breaking had brought Lynceus father, Theseus, running. As he entered the kitchen, he froze at the sight of his truelove, his soulmate seated at his table.

Turning to face his father Lynceus explained that the woman had saved him from drowning. Theseus overcome with joy at the sight of his truelove fell to his knees and begged her to marry. Asteria agreed and Theseus gave her his family's ring spelling it so that it would fit only the finger of the givers truelove. Inside the band he had the phrase "Eíste i aiónia agápi mou, i móni agápi mou" engraved. Theseus and Asteria had a long marriage and many children, but it was Lynceus that Asteria gave her wedding ring to when he met his truelove.

After my father finished his tale, he gave me the ring and told me that the enchantment that Theseus placed on the ring still holds true and that the ring would fit none by the finger of my truelove. I did not believe him at first, but Rose found the ring once and tried it on, and it fell off her finger leaving a red burn mark in its wake. I knew then that Rose would never be my truelove. Even though I must marry her, you are my eternal love, my only love, and I can only bear to see the ring that Theseus gave Asteria on your finger. I pray and hope that one day we can be together as Theseus and Asteria were, but until then know that my heart shall only belong to you. I love you always and forever Lily.

My eternal love,

Scorpius

Tears ran down Lily's cheeks as she folded the letter placing it back into its envelop and then back into her pocket. Pulling the ring out once more she read the inscription on the inside of the band "Eíste i aiónia agápi mou, i móni agápi mou" before slipping the oversized ring on to the ring finger of her left hand. She smiled as she watched the ring shrink to fit her finger. Removing the necklace that Scor had given her all those months ago, she pulled the ring from her finger and let it glided down the chain to rest next to the locket she then placed the locket and ring back around her neck and tucked it inside her shirt where it came to rest against her heart.

A small fluttering, like that of a million butterfly wings, in her stomach brought her attention back to the reason she was leaving Britain. A small smile playing across her lips as her mind turned to that of her unborn child. Rubbing gentle circles across her bump she murmured, "I hope you look like your father."

"Now why would you ever wish that on any child," a deep voice from behind her asked.

Turning she found herself face to face with Jonathan Andresen, one of her closest friends and her cousin Dominque's husband, though no one in her family aside from her knew that. "Maybe I want to see the face of the man I love when I gaze at my child."

"Nah, hope she has his eyes, but Merlin help us if she's got his pointed chin." Jonathan said laughing.

"What are you doing here?" Lily asked as Jonathan leaned against the railing next to her. "I thought you were stationed at the ministry in Sydney."

"I am, but Beck called when his top agent turned in her letter of resignation." Jonathan said handing her the letter she had sent to Beck Shaughnessy late the night before. "He says you can stuff that where the sun don't shine he's not accepting it."

"Oh, and what exactly does he expect me to do? I'm sixteen weeks bloody pregnant and I'm not going back home any bloody time soon." Lily snapped at him.

"Cool your jets Tiger. He wants you to work in the Auror department at the Australian Ministry." Jonathan told her with a fond smile.

"Why?"

"Luc's tracked one of Greyback's informants to the upper levels there, but we can't figure out who it is. Kingsley has already cleared you working there with Edenger through the work exchange program. You would be acting Deputy Head Auror."

"I don't know," Lily told him after several minutes of silence.

"Come on Lils I need a friendly face, I'm on pins and needles every time I walk into that bloody building." Jonathan pleaded with her. "I promise they won't care that you're pregnant. And it would give you a legitimate excuse for why you've been away if we ever do end up back home." Jonathan added after careful consideration.

"Oh, alright," Lily begrudgingly agreed.

"Wonderful I'll send an owl to Beck as soon as we dock." Jonathan told her grinning as he wrapped an arm around her shoulders and pulled her against his side.
