Damian looked at Mark in horror after hearing what had happened to Sadie at work. He wrapped his arms around her and held her tight while she cried a few more tears in the comfort of his arms.

"I'm gonna fucking kill him!" Damian growled.
"He's already dead," Mark said.
"Well, then I'm... I'm..." Damian sighed. "What can I do?"
"Correction," Mark smirked. "What can we do?"

Sadie dried her eyes and looked over at her boss.

"Have you dealt with something like this before?" Sadie asked.
"I'm an old man. I've had this business my whole life. Of course I've dealt with something like this before. Several times. Although it's the first time a ghost has stayed because of attraction towards a worker. They always stay for weird reasons, expecting me to handle stuff for them," Mark said.
"What do you do?" Sadie asked.
"I call my brother Kane. Normally he has a nice chat with them or even strikes up a deal if that's needed. He gets them to move on," Mark said.
"How the hell are you gonna strike up a deal with a ghost wanting my girlfriend?" Damian ansked angrily.

Mark couldn't help but smile at Damian's anger. He understood it. He had met Damian several times before. Damian Priest was a good man head over heels in love with Sadie. The young man just wanted his girlfriend to be safe.

"Honestly, I don't know," Mark said.
"Great," Damian muttered.
"But Kane will know," Mark said. "Trust me, my brother is fucking awesome at what he does. You've seen him on tv shows, and you know he's not faking anything. He's legit."

Mark took out his phone and called his brother right away. Damian and Sadie sat down and watched Mark's side of the conversation.

"Hey bro," Mark said. "We got a situation at the funeral home with a ghost. Yeah, he wants Sadie. No, for real. He threw things around today and tried choking her out when he heard she has a boyfriend. She's in trouble. Yeah, next week. Okay. I'll tell her. Yeah, no problem. I'll text you her address. See you soon."

He finished the conversation and handed his phone to Sadie.

"Text your address to him," Mark said. "I forgot the house number."
"33," Sadie giggled. "There, all done."

Sadie handed the phone back to Mark. He sat down as well and looked at the couple holding hands.

"You're my favorite couple," Mark grinned.
"Sorry for yelling," Damian asked.
"No need to apologize. I understand. I would be scared too if the roles were reversed," Mark said.
"What did Kane say?" Sadie asked.
"He's on his way over here right now," Mark said. "He did say to pretend when we go back to work tomorrow. You left Damian. You gotta fake smiles. You can't lose it, Sadie. Tell Roman you understand. You'll never date anyone again. You're his girlfriend now or whatever he wants to hear."

Sadie nodded. She didn't like it but she understood the need to pretend. It was no longer only about her. Damian was part of it too. She needed to keep her boyfriend safe as well. Roman had learned to move things. What would happen if he went home with her and found Damian? Roman might end up killing Damian somehow.

"This can't be fixed with a friendly talk," Mark said.
"How do we get rid of him?" Sadie asked.
"Kane said that we don't," Mark said.
"What?" Damian asked.
"We're leaving that place," Mark said. "Roman's gonna stay behind."
"He'll never accept that," Sadie said.
"We're not giving him a choice," Mark said. "Kane will make him."
