A/N: I only own the OC

Thank you for the reviews! Enjoy!

"So, he texted you for coffee right before you got here?" she asked me and I nodded.

"He beat you at your own... whatever." she said and I rolled my eyes as I absently stirred my drink. She could tell that I wasn't in the mood to deal with it anymore.

"Let's have fun and not talk about him." she said and I nodded. We had another drink, and had fun talking. I was glad that I had agreed to go out tonight. I had needed a girls night. I usually didn't have the energy on Friday nights. I also hadn't gone out in a long time, actually since I broke up with Brock. We ended up back at her family's restaurant for food. I was glad that her parents were used to us coming back for drunk food.

"Ah, Sarah, you look great!" her mom said as she hugged me.

"Thank you." I said as she pulled two more beers out for us and sat them on the counter.

"I will tell your brother you are here." she said because her brother always made us amazing food when we came in late.

"Oh, he's cute." Chelsea said a second later, and I looked at her as she watched the man coming into the restaurant. My eyes went wide as I turned back towards her. She could tell that something was up immediately.

"Bad date?" she asked me and I shook my head no.

"No, um... that's him." I said and she looked at me with a confused look before it hit her.

"Oh, wait... that's him?" she asked me as I glanced over to see him getting a beer from her Dad.

"Yeah." I said and she smirked. I could tell that something else was going on.

"What did I miss?" I asked her as her brother sat the food down. It smelled so good, but I suddenly wasn't hungry as I was interested in what she was going to tell me. I also realized I had ordered way too much food. I was drunk. I would eat it.

"He's my Dad's friend that I was talking to you about... and he's the one who paid for your food those times." she said and I looked over at him in surprise. I had picked up food a few times, but someone had always paid for it for me.I never realized it was Bucky. I didn't even realize that he lived around here. I finally turned to see Chelsea smirking.

"What?" I asked her.

"He listened to you. He always wanted you as a friend." she said and I glanced back at him. I suddenly wasn't hungry anymore... I guess he did listen.

"I'm calling it a night." I said and got ready to get up.

"Sarah, I didn't mean to upset you." she said and I sighed.

"No, I was a complete bitch to him this morning... I told him that he wasn't trying. He barely opens up and... I feel like the worse whatever... I will catch you later." I said and she hugged me. I hadn't been paying attention as her brother handed me my food in a box.

"Thanks, Jay." I said and he chuckled as her mom hugged me.

"Feel better." her mom said and I glanced at Chelsea as she chuckled. Chelsea motioned that she would text me and I was all for just slipping out of the restaurant without Bucky seeing me. I was almost to the door when some douche bag grabbed my arm as I walked by the bar.

"Where are you going in a hurry? I think you should stay here with me." he said and I tried to pull my arm away.

"I'm sorry, but no thank you." I said as I tried to get away, but he had a tight grip on my arm. He was pulling me to him, and I was about to dump my food on him when an arm slid around my waist. I looked up in surprised to see Bucky glaring at the man who currently had my arm. I was surprised to find myself kind of glad he was standing here with me. m

"Can you tell me why you are touching my girlfriend?" a deep voice said and I turned to see Becky looking at the man with a hard look. Chelsea's dad was on the other side of the bar, and glaring at the man.

"I... didn't..." he was saying as he let my arm go and Bucky pulled me snug against him.

"You leave." Chelsea's dad, Mr. Lee, said and the man looked surprised.

"Ready to go, doll?" he asked me and I nodded as I glanced at Mr. Lee. He gave a small nod before I glanced back at Chelsea. She had a smirk on her face as she saw that Bucky was there to help me. I waved bye as I let Bucky lead me out the door. We got outside and I went to pull away, but Bucky held me close to him.

"Thank you, but I'm fine." I said and he smirked down at me.

"Are you?" he asked me and I smirked at him.

"Yes?" I asked him and he chuckled as he moved his arm from my waist. I hadn't realized how comforting it was until he moved his arm.

"Well, good night then." he said and turned to leave. I felt bad because I had kind of brushed him off, again.

"Um, wait... I have food. Do you want to eat some?" I asked him as I held up my bag of food that I had drunkenly ordered... and knew that I could never eat this much on my own. He eyed me for a second, and then nodded as he shoved his hands in his pockets.

"You can come to my place." he said and I was surprised. He saw my expression and chuckled.

"Did you really think I lived in a cardboard box or something?" he asked me and I flushed with embarrassment.

"I honestly didn't know... I... I'm sorry." I said and he chuckled.

I followed him a few blocks to realize that he lived in the tall condo building that I could see him my house. I followed him inside and up the stairs until he fished his keys out of his pocket. He unlocked it a second later and I looked in to see a small apartment. I didn't see many decorations, and barely an furniture.

"I haven't really ever had company." he admitted and he nudged me inside. I realized that by inviting me in that he was actually letting me into his personal life... maybe I had gotten through to him.
