AN: Greetings, all. After an impromptu but much needed break to focus on myself, I am going through my WIPs and posting works that are finished or mostly finished in all of the fandoms I write for. And seeing as I missed my 10 year (!) anniversary for writing fanfiction in July, I figured I'd start with the best fandom I've been apart of since I began this journey.

This is just a short tag I thought of to 4x13 "Do No Harm". Purely putting whump where whump *could've* been in the episode (because I had thoughts and feelings about what should've happened to a certain canine handler.) Thank you for reading and I hope you enjoy!

Brock had just made it across the open hallway amidst the downpour of gunfire from the tangos when he felt a piercing pain rip across his side. He fell to the ground with a shout before he could get behind Clay and return fire. After pressing his right hand over the wound, he began to drag himself forward and out of the line of fire, but it was slow going.

The pain grew with each of his slow movements but he pushed it aside, like he was trained to. While he was listening to Jason's orders, of his brother's announcing when they were switching mags, as he worked to keep breathing, he kept going.

But before he could make heads or tails of what happened and where he needed to go next, Bravo Five felt himself being dragged the remaining distance behind cover, his feet slick against the blood he was leaving behind. The action itself was enough to ignite the already burning area and he cursed whoever was rough enough to lean him back against the wall. Yeah, that hurt.

Fighting through the pain, Brock checked his rifle and realized he was empty. He drew his pistol and leaned around Clay to return fire, and although the gun was slightly slick in his hand, he still managed to hit one of the fighters who was brazen (or stupid) enough to stand out in the open. Not long after his weapon clicked empty did the gunfire stop and Jason called for a cease fire.

A pounding in his head grew as Brock holstered his weapon and slumped back against the wall. He had just pulled his left hand away from his side to try to access the damage when a different set of hands pressed down on the still bleeding wound.

"Sonofa-" he hissed as he tried to see how bad the injury was.

"Hey. Hey, look at me,"

Brock turned his head toward the voice commanding him to focus. It was Trent and surprisingly he didn't look that worried. So, that had to be a sign that he wasn't actively dying.

"What?" he asked with mild annoyance. More at getting shot. Again. But also at the fact that his team was worrying over him. Again.

"You with us?" his best friend asked.

"Yeah, I'm fine," Brock bit out as he tried to get to his feet.

Jason stepped into view and asked, "Trent, how is he?"

Upon Trent glaring at his being a stubborn patient, Brock finally pulled his hands away and gave their medic access to the wound.

"Looks like it's just a deep graze," said Trent after looking at the injury. "Another scar to the collection, that's for sure."

Brock didn't miss Jason nodding as he stepped away, likely to give base a sitrep. "See? I'm fine,"

"Uh huh," Trent rummaged through his bag and pulled out a tool Brock was all too familiar with.

"Can't you just put gauze on it?" asked Brock. He was already tensing up at what was about to happen, but he sure would like to avoid it if he could.

"No," said Trent as he readied the stapler. "Need to close it,"

"Hurry up, we've still got a mess to deal with here," said Jason.

Clay stayed back a ways and watched Trent and Brock as Four got to work. Because Brock didn't feel like watching Trent staple his skin together, he instead focused on their youngest team member. And he did not miss the small smirk working its way across the Kid's face.

"Keep smiling, Clay," said Brock after a few seconds. With Trent's help, once Four was finished taping gauze over the wound, he got to his feet and readied his weapon. "Keep smiling,"

Clay made a face of mock innocence. "What?"

"Just you wait," said Brock, only to turn his attention to Trent when the other man hit his shoulder. "What was that for?"

But Trent didn't reply as he zipped his bag shut and huffed something about both of them being idiots and needing to double up on supplies.

AN: Let me know what you think! I'm currently rewatching S4 (as if I haven't already watched all of the episodes multiple times) in preparation for the new season(!) What is something you'd like to see in season 5? Personally, I'd love to get to know more about Brock and Trent (as if y'all couldn't have guessed that), and maybe see Pepper in action, too.
