AN: Please excuse the writing. I might rewrite this sometime but I'm not sure. It's like 2:30 over here right now and I'm a bit tired, but really wanted to at least start on his project. As for Cosmo's father, I'm going by a head canon that he returned to the Cosma family when Cosmo was probably around 3 or 4 after trying to break back into his house since he didn't have his wand while he was a fly. Also, I didn't want to risk anyone's phone number being put on display so I just did an insert for the doctor.

Cosmo woke up with his head pounding harshly and his stomach hurting him. It was about 4 AM in the morning and Fairy World was essentially asleep for the time being, and Wanda was knocked out cold next to him. He lied back down to try and go back to sleep, only for his stomach to begin growling and make him feel lightheaded.

After a few more restless minutes, Cosmo finally gave up on trying to go back to sleep and got up, making his way towards the castle's kitchen before a wave of nausea began to hit him. Feeling heat rise, he bolted to the nearest bathroom, trying to hold in his stomach before reaching a toilet, exploding into a mass of purple goo spread all over the seat. He grabbed his stomach as he continued to vomit, barely allowed to come up for air in between pauses.

Ugh..what did I eat? I can't believe something so yummy could be so evil!

He flushed the toilet and sat himself upright next to the toilet bowl, allowing himself to sit in silence and process his thoughts. He also rubbed his head and fingered through his straight, green hair as tenderly as he could, hoping for the headache to at the very least soften up.

Maybe I ate that cheese too fast? Mmm..that was really good cheese. Didn't Wanda buy that yesterday though. How bad could it have gotten? Guess I'll ask in the morning or something.

After a while longer, Cosmo forced himself up, completely forgetting the main reason he went downstairs in the first place. He floated his way back to his room and crawled back in bed, finally able to truly go to sleep since he and Wanda has gone to bed for the night.

Cosmo's eyes opened as Fairy World's bright pink lights began to shine through their bedroom window. As he forced his body to sit up, he noticed that Wanda wasn't next to him, which he found odd since they normally got up around the same time. He looked at the clock next to his side of the bed to read 1 PM..wait.1 PM? Oh no..

He lunged himself out of bed and into the shower, trying to clean off some of the purple vomit from last night hastily. How could I be so careless? 1 PM? Wanda's going to be so mad. She's probably wondering where I'm at right now!

After he launched out of the shower, he grabbed his clothes from the closet, throwing on his underwear and undershirt as quick as he could. However, he found himself having more trouble buttoning his shirt and his black pants seemed a bit tighter around the waist for some reason. Weird..they fit fine yesterday. Maybe my clothes shrunk overnight.

"Honey? Are you finally awake yet? I've made lunch and Timmy will be back at school in an hour", a feminine voice called down from downstairs. Great..Timmy was probably wondering where he was the morning. Can I do anything right?

Cosmo sloppy made his way downstairs towards the kitchen table, where the BLT sandwiches seemed to have a rather strong aroma. He gagged a bit as the smell hit his nose, but didn't want to fly off to the bathroom in case he had offended his wife. Wanda looked towards him and frowned.

"What's wrong? I thought you liked these? If you wanted something else, you could have said something.", she said. Cosmo shook his head.

"No. I don't think it's that. I don't feel too well, Wanda."

"Is that why you were vomiting last night?"

"How'd you know that?"

"You weren't very quiet, baby doll", she said, noticing his face redden. "Not to mention, you were tossing and turning all of last night."

"Sorry. I thought you were asleep. I think I'm sick."

"Well, why don't you get back in bed. It's probably just the fairy flu. It is that time of the year again, after all."

Cosmo nodded and did as he was told after grabbing one of the water bottles from the fridge. He was relieved that Wanda didn't chew him out or call him lazy for sleeping in too late, but also felt a bit of guilt as he lied back down. He felt it wasn't fair that he got sick and she didn't, but he also felt like that because he was sick, he wasn't able to help her out as much. He hated being a burden more than almost anything and didn't like for things to get in the way between himself, his work, and his family. As much as he hated it, if he had to go see the doctor, he would.

About 3 days passed and Cosmo continued to vomit all over the bathroom, but it seemed like the puking was getting more and more violent. He had finally had enough and tried to book an appointment with Dr. Studwell, whose phone message claimed that he'd be out for the week mini golfing with some female colleagues of him.

Wait..wasn't my dad a pediatrician at some point? Maybe he knows what's wrong.

He grabbed out his phone and went through his contacts, hesitating slightly. He didn't want to bother him, and he didn't want to risk having to listen to his mother scream at her husband and complain to Cosmo about Wanda, but he also was getting tired of the late nights and the puking. Oh yes, especially the puking. Cosmo had also found himself getting a bit more snappy and high strung that usual, crying when Timmy had stepped on a random cockroach that came into their room.

Ok you can do this..10 minutes tops..Ok, let's go!

He dialed his father's number and the phone started ringing. As soon as the second ring sounded, Cosmo's nervous feeling came back, almost wishing his father didn't pick up. Come on..don't pick up. Don't pick up. I'm sorry. Don't..

"Hello?"

Dang it

"Cosmo? Are you there? Is everything alright?", a male's voice asked softly, his voice filled with concern.

"Uh yeah..No! I'm great Papa. Everything's fine. Just been feeling sick is all."

"Oh my. Do you have some medicine to take? Would you like me to come over there?"

"No it's ok. It's ok. I was just calling because I wanted to ask you something really fast."

"O-Oh. Ok then, what's wrong hun?"

"You used to be a kid's doctor, right?"

"Yes."

"Do you know what's wrong with me? I tried calling my doctor and it said he's out for the week."

"I'm not sure. An adult and child's body aren't exactly the same thing, Cosmo.", his father commented, "What are your symptoms?"

"Uh.."

"I mean what's been bothering you. What's making you feel sick, sweetie?"

"I've been throwing up these last few days, and my head's been killing me. Wanda thinks I have the fairy flu or something."

"I'm not sure. Didn't you say you got your shot the last time you came over?"

"I don't' know, can't remember. Did I?"

"I believe so. So, unless you were lying, I don't think you have the flu. If you were vaccinated, it shouldn't be possible."

"I'm not lying Papa! I don't remember, I swear!"

"I know. I know you're not lying. It's ok.", Papa Cosmo cried, "Please, I just want to help you."

"I know, I'm sorry.", Cosmo sighed, "That's another thing. I've been a lot more emotional that I usually am. But I think I get that from you."

"Well..", his father started before he got quiet, "Um..Cosmo?"

"Hm?"

"Have you and Wanda been..um know? When a mommy and daddy really love each other.."

"What?", Cosmo asked, unsure of what his father was asking, "What are you talking about?"

"Well…uhm..did you and Wanda get a bit busy recently?"

"What do you mean?"

"Did you and Wanda have sex is what I'm asking, hun."

"Oh. We did a few nights ago, but we wore protection! I don't know what happened. Once thing let to another and I.."

"Cosmo please calm down. It's alright. Just breathe for me", Papa Cosmo instructed before continuing, "In that case, I think you might want to look into trying to see another doctor, and maybe buying a test from the store. If you want, I can forward you my doctor's email so you can see her."

"Oh. Yeah, that'd be great dad. Thanks."

"Not a problem", he said, somewhat a bit cheerier that his normally timid tone. "I just sent it. You should get it fairly soon."

"Ok. I'll talk to them. Thanks Dad for helping me out."

"It's not a problem, darling. You let me know what the doctor says, please. I would very much like to know."

"Yeah sure thing dad."

"Thank you. Alright, I have to get going. Your mom will be back home from work soon. I love you."

"Love you too Dad."

Towards the end of the week, Cosmo had managed to book and appointment with his father's doctor, who ended up drawing some of his blood from his left arm. He came home the next day and decided to take a nap while he awaited his test results to show up in the mail. He definitely did not expect what the doctor did to him, and felt his energy leave his body at an immensely fast pace.

Around 7 that evening, the mail had arrived, and Cosmo offered to get it for Wanda, who normally did so. If the doctor was right about her assumptions, then he wanted it to be a surprise. They had been trying for a while now but hadn't had much success and had recently decided to give up and focus on their godchild instead.

He put Wanda's mail on the bar in their kitchen, while he grabbed the white envelope with his name on it and the hospital's pink logo for Men's Health Care. Making sure no one saw him, he floated up back to his room and locked the door, before tearing into the envelope and reading what it said,
