AN: Sorry, the writing's starting to get more and more crude. Hopefully, these will be the last few chapters before the end of the story.

When Cosmo went back inside, he noticed the house was just as quiet as if was when he left. He had been gone for a little over 2 hours. Shouldn't Wanda have gotten back by now? But as he sat down and kicked his feet off, Cosmo decided to shrug it off. Maybe she and her mother decided to go out and get drinks. Though he never approved her mother's tendency to party and go barhopping, he could at least agree that Wanda could use a break. He felt as though his pregnancy was tying her down, as if she couldn't have a life of her own because of it. She deserved to take a break, at least for a little while.

Cosmo reached across the coffee table to grab the remote, eager to continue binge watching maternity court with Judge Rain. He lazily allowed himself to sink into the couch, his baby bump now sticking out loud and proud, much like the men he saw on TV.

"I have your DNA test results right here.", Judge Rain, a dark-skinned fairy that had her sky blue hair tied in a bun, "In the case of 2 year old, Pansy Sunclove and the unborn Mr. Sunclove is pregnant with, you, Miss Moonlight…are NOT the mother. I'm sorry, Mr. Sunclove."

The show's iconic court theme started playing as the pregnant male fairy on the TV broke down into tears, the woman on his left trying to hide the smug look that Cosmo almost wanted to smack off. He turned the TV off, unsure of why he bothered with that stupid show anymore. It wasn't like he understood what most of the words Judge Rain said anyways. Not to mention, every time he saw a woman celebrate because a man's baby isn't hers, Cosmo either wanted to cry for the man or rant about how other women would give anything for a child. Not that they'd hear him anyways.

At least watching the tv show reminded him of how grateful he was to have a woman that wanted to have this child with him. Wanda could have easily dumped him and their daughter out on the streets but didn't do so. Oh man, what did he do to deserve her? Cosmo will never understand.

Before Cosmo could fully transcend into his thoughts however, he was snapped back by a slaw from the front door and Wanda, darting upstairs into their room before another slam followed. Cosmo listened closely to hear a couple of sniffs coming from their bedroom, making his heart sink. The last time he remembered hearing her cry was at their wedding, and her small sniffs were nothing compared to his complete meltdown during their vows. So..what was going on? Cosmo got up from the couch and quietly floated up the stairs, knocking on the door gently.

"Wanda? Are you ok? Can I come in?", Cosmo asked, a small hint of timidity in his voice. He received no answer another than a couple of sniffs, so he gently creaked the door open, finding his wife sitting on their bed, tears still dripping off her cheeks. "H-hey! What happened? What's wrong?"

"I-it's nothing. I'm fine. You shouldn't worry about me.", Wanda sniffed, wiping her eyes as hard as she could, "I'm fine baby. I promise."

"If you're fine, then why are you crying? You never cry.", Cosmo asked, sitting down next of her, holding his stomach so that the weight wouldn't crush his legs.

"I said I'm fine, Cosmo. I just had a bad day, that's all."

"Well..do you want to talk about it? I-I'm not really good at this sort of thing but normally I talk when I'm upset. I can at least listen.", Cosmo offered. Wanda looked at him quietly, hesitant on whether to talk to him. "Come on Wanda. At least tell me. I'm not going anywhere until you tell me."

"I don't know Cosmo. I don't want to burden you with my problems."

"You're not burdening me. You've always put up with me and my problems, especially these last few months. I want to be there for you like you've been for me, even though I don't deserve you by any means."

"Cosmo.."

"Please?"

There was another pause as Wanda looked away. Cosmo shifted closer to her uncomfortably, reaching his arm around to try and hug her. Though she didn't oppose it, she also didn't react much to it.

"My sister's back in town."

"Really? That's a coincidence. So was mi-", Cosmo started before Wanda started sniffing again, "Sorry honey. What happened?"

"I wasn't the only one planning on lunch with daddy today. I thought it was just gonna be me and daddy. It had been a while since we had any real quality time together."

"W-well, maybe your sister also wanted to spend time with him. What's wrong with some family time?"

"That's not it Cosmo. I didn't have a problem with Blonda joining us but then she started talking about her life as an actress, and her million boyfriends."

"So? That sounds pretty typical for Blonda."

"When she stopped talking about herself, I finally told her that you were pregnant with my child, she just laughed and said that I was wasting my time staying with you. That if I ever wanted to be successful like her, then I should leave", Wanda finally said, "I know I shouldn't let her get under my skin, especially since she doesn't have room to talk about relationships. But I'm angry because I was hoping she's at least be a little supportive. It just seems like we're almost completely on our own with the baby and I'm tired of it. I don't even know why we bother with our families anymore."

"B-but do you want to l-l-leave me?" Cosmo could barely spit out the leave, tears now threatening to spill from his eyes now just thinking about it. Wanda shook her head.

"No darling, I wouldn't even dream of it. Don't worry sweetheart.", she said, now cupping his cheeks to dry his eyes, "It's just…I don't know. I guess I've just felt so alone. You know, we've got problems with your parents, and mine barely even call the house. I'm so tired of everyone treating our child like an inconvenience."

As Cosmo listened, he couldn't say he didn't agree with what she was saying. He didn't expect his and Wanda's families to drop everything an revolve their lives around their baby, but it seemed to Cosmo like they were treating the child as if she were the reason their families were falling apart. While he didn't ask for them to cancel their own personal lives for the baby, Cosmo himself wasn't sure if anyone cared at all, and the few people that did try to help were only pretending so Cosmo didn't throw a fit because of his hormones.

Cosmo held Wanda tighter, now a wave of anger hitting him. He was too tempted to grab his phone and curse everyone, especially Blonda and his mother, for all they were worth. Cosmo had wanted to try to get all the support he could, but at that moment, he didn't want to speak to much of anyone at all. While they were almost two completely different people, the one thing Cosmo and Wanda had in common was their generally unsupportive families. Normally, they took each nasty comment and brushed off gesture with a grain of salt, but this time…

"Wanda? Can I ask you something?", Cosmo asked. Wanda nodded. "Do you ever think about cutting them off?"

"I don't know, Cosmo. Blonda and I barely talk at all as it is, but I don't know if I can do that with my mom and dad.", Wanda whimpered, "It just wouldn't seem fair if all of the sudden, I disappear from their lives. What about you and your parents? Do you think.."

"Maybe. I've been thinking about it for a while since mama made the cheating comment. They can just be so forceful sometimes; it's hard to stay away from them, especially mama.", Cosmo sighed, "I wish we would have thought about this earlier. Maybe then we could've just had a private baby shower."

"That's not really a party then, sweetheart.", Wanda snickered, her eyes drying up. Cosmo took another sigh, wiping his own face now.

"I know whatever happens tomorrow, we'll get through it. We've always have. A-and I don't care what your sister or anyone else says. All of this will be worth it in a few weeks.", he said, patting his stomach. He pointed it towards Wanda, who obliged and rubbed her hand on his stomach her, resting her head on his shoulder.

"I hope you're right, Cosmo. I know we have the strength but..I just so tired."

After she had said that, the pair shifted towards the middle of the bed to lay in, Wanda not taking her hand off her husband's stomach. She kissed it lightly before nuzzling herself close to him, eventually falling asleep. Cosmo follow suit almost immediately, keeping his free arm on his stomach, allowing the baby's kicks to soothe him to sleep.

The next morning, things were a lot more active than when Cosmo had gotten home. Cosmo was busy vacuuming the purple carpet while Wanda was out gathering the cake and supplies for the shower. Ignoring the telephone rings, Cosmo allowing himself to indulge in trashy tv as he continued to work, occasionally stopping to take a water break every once in a while, resulting in a million trips to the bathroom.

After he had finished, he made his way to sanitize the kitchen, using wiping pads to clean their dining table and counters. But as he kept cleaning, he heard the doorbell ring, making Cosmo groan. It wasn't another few hours until the baby shower was supposed to start, so he didn't understand who was bothering them at this hour. He went towards the door and opened it, only to be bombarded with a bunch of other shopping bags.

"W-Woah! Ok then!", Cosmo shouted, almost dropping the bags on the floor.

"Oh I'm sorry darling. Here, let me get those.", Cosmo sighed as he heard his father's voice say. The two gathered up the bags and set them down next to the couch before taking a seat themselves.

"Dad, you're really REALLY early. Why are you hear so early? We were trying to clean up.", Cosmo complained. Papa Cosmo smiled nervously, shrugging his shoulders a bit.

"W-Well sweetheart, I just thought you might want some help setting up. Putting everything up and baby proofing the house."

"No dad, it's ok. Wanda and I have it under control. She's out getting the rest of the supplies and we've already start plugging up the outlets.", Cosmo said, pinching the bridge of his nose. "Honestly, I wish you would have come by later. I was really hoping to have some alone time before Wanda got back. You know, just me and the baby."

"O-Oh! I didn't know I was intruding. I'm sorry, dear. I can come by later when the party starts.", Papa Cosmo frowned, headed towards the door before Cosmo stopped him.

"But I guess if you HAVE to help, you can get the table set up for when we have cake. Wanda left the table cloth in the kitchen, so if you want, you can put the cloth on the dining table and gets plates and stuff out. We're gonna put the cake in the middle.", Cosmo said, returning to his vacuuming. Not much longer after Papa Cosmo went to do his assignment, Wanda came back with bags of party supplies and a 3 level white cake, with blue and pink polka dots all around. On the top of the cake, the words Boy or Girl? were inked with a respective pink, black, and blue ink, alongside a black question mark.

"It's beautiful. Thank you.", Cosmo said, kissing Wanda on the cheek.

"Honey? I think you forgot about some of the outlets in the kitchen? A-and I really do think you should lock up the chemical under your sink. The baby could crawl and drink some of them up by accident. Here, I'll take care of that for you, dear.", Papa Cosmo called as they made their way with the cake,

"Oh yeah..we already got company."

"Already?", Wanda asked, raising a brow.

"Yep."

It was about 5 minutes until the party was supposed to have started, and Cosmo began to tap his foot impatiently. So far, the only person who had managed to make it was his father, and he had received a call from Chelsea claiming she was stuck in traffic (she preferred to drive instead of using her wand so she could show off her truck).

"Dad? Do you know if Mama's coming?", Cosmo asked. Papa Cosmo nodded slightly.

"She said she'd be there. She just wanted to try and clear her headache first.", he said with a slightly twitchy tone.

"When doesn't she have a 'headache'?"

"Please don't be too hard on her, Cosmo. She's…um..not having the best time at work right now..and I think she's still trying to process about the baby."

"But it's been over 2 months!"

"I-I know dear but somethings just take time. I'm sure once she gets over her work issues and shock, she'll be more than happy about the baby."

Cosmo rolled his eyes when his father wasn't looking. Of course he had to defend her. It almost seemed like she could do no wrong in his father's eyes, even when she hit him or smashed bottles in his face. She watched his father go back into the kitchen to finish up the table setting, studying his timid speech and his jumpy movement.

Does he really love the baby? If he does, what would happen if I left the baby with him and Mama one evening? Would he let his wife get what she wants like always or actually step in to help? Cosmo now wasn't so sure that letting him babysit their child was such a good idea. After studying his father and finishing the last of the floor, Cosmo decided to step out of the house and sit on the front patio, in desperate need of some fresh air. Other than Wanda, he wasn't sure who he could and couldn't trust. His back hurt immensely, and his own headache pounded as he sat on the rocking chair, watching the birds fly by.

At long last, Cosmo saw his sister's truck roll by and begin to pull up to their driveway, the large tires making a crumbling sound in the purple pavement.

"Hey Cosmo! Sorry I'm late. Traffic's been hell and back.", Chelsea said, hugging Cosmo as tight as she could without hurting the baby.

"Actually, you might be early. Shower hasn't even started since no one's showed up yet. Well except dad..", Cosmo said, making Chelsea separate herself almost immediately, her confidence leaving her body.

"O-oh. Dad's here already?"

"Yeah. He showed up mad early because he wanted to 'help out'. Why? Are you ok?"

"N-No I'm fine, Cosmo. Just a bit shocked. Wasn't expecting him over this early.", she laughed nervously, "I wonder if he's mad that I didn't call."

"I thought you were gonna do that when you got home?"

"Pssh..come on Cosmo! You know memory doesn't run in our family!", Chelsea said, "What are you doing outside? Shouldn't you be at the party?"

"I guess. I just needed some fresh air. I've been thinking about what's gonna happen to our family once the baby's born."

"If you can even call any of us a family anymore.", Chelsea said, making Cosmo squirm slightly. After a little bit of talking and catching up, Cosmo and Chelsea finally decided to head back inside, where Cosmo's wife and father were going through the bags of stuff he had initially brought with him. Probably to make himself look good, Cosmo thought.

"A-and I've also gotten you these baby monitors for when he or she goes to sleep at night. You just put one in their crib and the other on your nightstand. Pretty easy to use once you activate then. I also really hope you don't mind, but I also had gotten them some of these soft blocks that I found so they can learn their letters and numbers without hurting themselves..", Papa Cosmo droned on and on, making Wanda near bored out of her mind. Looking at the stuff spread on the table also made Cosmo somewhat nervous as well. What would Mama think if she saw him spend that much?

"Uh.. ? I hate to sound rude but is all of this really necessary? I think Cosmo and I know how to take care of our child."

"Well..uhm..yes of course. I know you do, but I just want to help. I care about the baby so much, and I just really want to make sure you have what you need."

"Uh..I think they got it covered…dad.", Chelsea said, forcing Papa Cosmo's attention towards her.

"Chelsea? Sweetheart? You came?"

"Err..yeah dad.", she said nervously as the male fairy stood up, making his way over before hugging her tightly, rubbing her back softly and leaving a couple of kisses on her cheeks.

"Oh..I missed you so much."
