Chapter 5

Restart

Corona:

Light snow fell, which was a rarerity in Corona. As a result the entire town was busy getting supplies and such to keep warm or eat as Christmas had just arrived.

Outside there was soft shuffeling as Hans was busy clearing out the path way of the gardens.

Normally this was a chore which Galen did, but because of his advanced age and the stiffness in his bones he was unable to do such tasks anymore so Hans took over that chore.

Hans did not mind doing it as he saw it as another chance to play with snow, but he did mind when the first time Galen tricked him into clearing out the snow by telling him this elaborate story about gold being hidden away somewhere in the garden by some adventurer who arrived to Corona from far away lands.

Him being gullible 5 year old spent over 2 hours clearing out the path only to spend the rest of the day digging around various parts of their land trying to find the treasure.

It was only when his parents went to get him and asked him why was he digging around, after he explained why he was doing that they told him the truth about his grandfathers fib.

Of course Hans was mad about the trick and did not talk to his grandfather, but he finally forgave him after his dad had a talk about how his grandfather was old and he could not be doing such jobs anymore without the risk of injury.

From then on its been a chore Hans did among others such as cleaning out the garden and other chores.

"Your a big boy now Hans, true we have servants, but that is no excuse for you to laze about doing nothing" Alexander would say.

Finishing Hans looked proudly at the trail before turning and going to the shed where he stored the shovel. When done Hans quickly ran and went inside his home where it was warm.

"Good night Hedwig" said Hans as he entered his home through the kitchen, taking a seat on the steps he proceeded to take off his snow boots and place the shoes on the ground then proceeding to take off his snow coat and placed it on a hook next to the door.

"Good night" said Hedwig as she moved a bowl then tasted it and hummed happily "This is good",

"What is?" asked Hans curious, Hedwig smiled and handed him a spoon to taste.

Placing it on his mouth his eyes widen in delight before saying "Its good!",

"I though so, now hurry along and wash up for dinner, it will soon start" said Hedwig as she waved him off.

Nodding Hans hurried up upstairs to his room, careful not to run up the stairs as Meline would always scold him whenever he did.

Entering his room he quickly closed the door and walked to a pitcher which had warm water on it, a bowl and a soft looking towel on top of the desk.

Pouring the water unto the bowl he used it to clean his hands and his face before taking nicer shoes he had left out earlier that day and putting them on.

Once on he walked back downstairs where his parents and grandparents were waiting outside the gathering room whoes door was closed.

"Is it ready?" asked Hans exited as he arrived, more than ready for what he knew was was to come,

"It is" said Alexander rather proudly as he placed his hand on the door handles.

With another smile he pushed the door open to reveal a beautiful sight.

All around were decorations and lights, the fireplace was warm, a huge tree was placed and decorated with candles, little toys, candies and fruit.

"Its huge!" said Hans gapped as he walked over and looked around the tree happily. Taking in its beauty and admiring all the little details in and around it.

"It is" said Amelia as she walked over and placed a hand on Hans shoulder, turning Hans hugged her knees.

"I love it!" Said Hans "Thank you mother, Father"

She just smiled and lead him to a table where a fabulous Christmas dinner composed of turkey, stuffing, pies and other such delights waited to be consumed.

Sitting down Hans smiled as they all ate and chatted then played. In his mind this was how life should be forever.

Arendelle:

Loud squeals were heard up and down the palace of Arendelle as Elsa and Anna rode their bikes through the palace.

"Anna! Elsa!" called Agnaar as he peeked through the door towards the halls, luckily he did not step out of the office because if he had had then he would have been run over by his daughters.

"Sorry Papa" said Anna as they rode pass him then stopped.

Sighting Agnaar he said "Alright, put the bikes away, its time for Christmas".

"Yay!" cheered Anna as she and Elsa began to take the bikes back to their room.

As they did they merilly chatted. To Anna this was the best Christmas present ever!

She and her sister were back to being well... sisters... the gates were open again, she knew the truth and most of all she was no longer lonely.

What brought this change Anna did not know but was happy either way.

Putting their bikes away Anna giggles before she poked Elsa and said "Your it",

"Anna!" called Elsa before she began to chase after her sister ensuing another round of games between them.

Hearing the commotion Agnaar pinched the bridge of his nose while Iduna laughed.

"How can you find this funny?" He said exasperated,

"Come on, their just children" said Iduna,

"Their princesses" stressed Agnaar only to wince when he saw Iduna giving him an icy stare as she asked "So because their princesses does that mean that their not children?".

Wisely Agnaar decided to remain quiet as he knew that if he dared to answer there would be another fight and for the sake of appearences he could not.

Soon the two girls ran back into the ballroom where a massive tree with lights, toys and all sorts of decorations.

Next to the fireplace was a huge table loaded with food.

"Chocolate!" Cheered Anna as she ran over and began to stuff whatever chocolate she found into her mouth.

"Anna slow down!" laughed Elsa "Save some for me",

"Now girls, remember your manners" Agnaar lightly scolded,

"But its just us here" Anna pointed out with her cheeks stuffed with chocolate.

Iduna laughed at that, it seems that Anna inheritted Agnaars stuborn personality.

"Yes papa and that means I can do this!" said Elsa as she stomped her foot to the ground covering the floor with ice.

Anna squealed as she slipped a bit, Agnaar and Iduna looked horrified, true they agreed that the gates would be open and that Anna and Elsa would not be separated anymore, but they did not speak about Elsa revealing her magic.

"Elsa" began Agnaar,

"Its okay papa, I got a hang of it" said Elsa with a big smile then shot ice up to the ground making the room snow gently.

"This is the best christmas ever!" yelled Anna happily as she threw her hands up and ran around to catch snow flakes with Elsa following.

As they did Agnaar turned to Iduna and said "This... I do not understand... the trolls",

"They were wrong it seems" said Iduna then added "To be honest I never fully trusted them",

"Why did you not say anything?!" hissed Agnaar,

"My dear Agnaar I tried, sadly you never seem to want to listen to me" said Iduna with a sight.

Agnaar turned back and saw his daughters playing, as they did his mind went back to the trolls and what they said versus what Elsa told him what happened and her encounter of the trolls in the forest. As he though he realized something, they were never clear as to how Elsa would control her magic which brought a troubleling question.

Did the trolls that adviced them knew how Elsa could control her magic to but kept it a secret for their own purpose?

The more Agnaar though the less he liked it as his eyes widen. Yes, it had to be! They were probably in contact with that other group that Elsa encountered and whatever they had planned it was not good especially when Elsa interfered with that boy... Rosenrod.

Turning he left the room then went to the guards. Those trolls would soon pay for what Agnaar saw as an attack to the royal family.

Meanwhile outside of Arendelle:

The cabin was cheerful, true they had little money, but that did not meant that they could not celebrate christmas their own way.

Smiling happily Ellen took out a pie from her stone oven before smelling it. It was very sweet as she decided to add a bit more sugar on it even if sugar was hard to come by.

Turning she placed it on the table with a smile before looking outside where Kristoff was busy making a snowman and Sven was trying to eat the carrot.

"No Sven, this is for the snowman" said Kristoff as he tried to keep the carrot away from the hungry reindeer.

But Sven persisted and soon the teo began to run around the outside of the house.

As they ran Sven tripped and fell against a large pile of snow.

"Sven?" asked Kristoff worried as he ran over. The pile did not move at first then all of a sudden Sven jumped out of the pile and snatched the carrot away from kristoff eating it.

Laughing Kristoff said "Okay you win" Sven licked him happy, giggling Kristoff held Sven.

"Kristoff my child" he heard all of a suddenly.

Kristoffs first responce was to call for his mother Ellen but found she was nowhere in sight.

Looking around he further noticed how far he was from the cabin and how close to the woods he was and... rocks?

There were many of them and of different sizes, they all seemed to move over to him.

Suddenly kristoff felt panic as they encircled him, blocking out any exit before the rocks changed to little stone people... trolls.

Emmediatly the panic Kristoff had got worse.

"Kristoff my child" said one sweetly as she tried to approach him. Backing away Kristoff said "I am not your child!",

"Why of course you are, I am your mother Bulda" said the troll but Kristoff yelled "Your not my mother!" Then proceeded to scream "Mom help!",

"The boys head has been messes" said one,

"No problem that is a mistake we can correct" said another as they moved, closing in on Kristoff and Sven making then both scream for help, for anything.

"Mother!" Ellen heard making her drop whatever she was doing before running out.

She screamed when she saw the trolls trying to take Kristoff away, so grabbing an iron shovel she used for her garden she ran over screaming "Stay away from my boy!" as she swung the shovel around making the trolls back away as they did she grabbed Kristoff and put him behind her and yelled "Stay away from my boy!".

The trolls looked confused as Bulda spoke "We are sorry but he is not your boy he is my little Kristoff, so if you hand him to us we will be on our way",

"No! He is not! You will not have him!" yelled Ellen with the fury of a mother upon hearing them going to take away her child.

"Mother" said Kristoff scared,

"Baby listen to me... you will go to the cabin and lock yourself and Sven there" said Ellen "No matter what happens you will not leave there",

"But mother" began Kristoff,

"Now!" said Ellen as the trolls walked over again to try and take Kristoff.

Whether it was fate or not all the screams attracted Magnus and the ice harvesters who were heading home early that day.

With picks and other instruments in their hands ready to use as weapons they all ran over and saw what was unfolding before attacking.

The group of trolls seeing the people running to then, warmed, they decided this was not a fight thy were going to win so the trolls ran back to the forest.

"Ellen! Kristoff! You okay?!" asked Magnus scared and relieved to see they were okay as he brought them to his arms in a hug.

"Yes papa, they tried to take me away" said Kristoff trying not to cry.

"Its okay, never would we let that happen" promised Magnus,

"And if they did?" asked Kristoff,

"Then we would go to the ends of the world to find you" said Ellen.

Sniffling Kristoff hugged them both back as they held him, glad that he was not taken but angry.

The next day they will make sure to complain about it to the king, something will be done about those trolls!

But for now they just relished in the fact that they were safe and that they were together, but most of all kristoff was happy that he had such loving parents even if they were not his real ones... they loved him just the same.

A week later:

The reports would not stop, people were asking, no not asking, demanding action against the magical creatures. Agnaar looked over them, he had only wanted to punish the trolls for tricking him but after hearing all the horror stories and reports, especially the one where many people witnessed the trolls trying to kidnap a child, people clamoring for help and action Agnaar knew what he had to do.

He was not a cruel man, but this had gone too far and his people were getting hurt, so as a leader he had to take action and protection.

With that and a heavy heart, Agnaar opened up a document, it was made by his father many years ago, it was drafted to take care of the problem of magical creatures, of course this was never implemented before his death.

Taking a pen and with a sight Agnaar sighted the document and gave it the official seal before sending it away to all the soldiers and bounty hunters in all of Scandinavia. Forever sealing the fate of thousands of magic users and magical creatures for the document he just signed and approved were permits for the capture and extermination of all of the magic community.

To be continued...

Authors note: This is a new add on that will explain a bit more of the old one, tie in a loose end. So all I have to say is, Agnaar is so wrong and this mistake will bite him in the butt. Please be on the look out for the new chapter and also if possible please leave a review and tell me what you think so far. All opinions matter.
