Re: Zero Natsuki Subaru The Sage
Chapter 2: The Stars That Surround Us
The Boy and his ever faithful companion cross the imposing doors in a confident manner. They keep walking until they are face to face with a rather odd structure. Subaru is perplexed and thinks briefly on what his eyes are witnessing. As he scratches his head he turns around and glances at his fellow ally, whom is too busy staring star struck at the whole environment they find themselves in.
"WAAHHH! Master everything is the same color, I cannot even see an ending nor beginning. Truly Master Is the only one that could make something this awesome! Thank you Senp…"
"ENOUGH! I have stressed repeatedly to never call me that, it will make me sick to my stomach and ashamed to face my parents!" Grumbles the poor boy as he already knows his words will fall on deaf ears. With a sigh he slowly gets acquainted with the location he finds himself in.
A boundless expanse of white surrounds Subaru and Shaula, seeming to go on forever and with no fixed destination. The boy's breath hitches, as he starts wondering how could these dimensions fit in this tower. Unless it may be magic or another odd phenomenon.
Still befuddled Subaru glances at the only object present in this strange space. Recalling his memories of past history this object was tall, wide and looking like part of a rock. Yet the structure was too well designed to be a part of nature's creation. Subaru thought for a while and decided to call it a monolith, as that is the only idea he can think of.
Did this bastard Flugel also enjoy classic american movies? This is just too bizarre yet I cannot help to acknowledge how real everything is. Why would he say I am the only person besides this Otaku Connoisseur that could successfully pass the first trial?
After the boy was done with his thoughts he asked his companion:
"Oi, Shaula do you know anything about this trial or room? You have been living here for a while right?"
The girl in question was still examining the room and thinking how much running she would have to do to reach the end while she hears her dear Senpai's words. Shaula abruptly turns around and replies with a small frown:
"Master you are so mean! You told me never to go beyond the floor where we both resided in. While laughing maniacally." Here Shaula struck such a familiar pose that Okabe would be proud.
Okay this is it, I am about to be done with this damned Sage. He tried to re-create Okabe's time travel experiment here? He is no El Psy Congro. I am done thinking about this weirdness or I may very well lose my mind.
Finishes thinking the boy as he finally lays his eyes on the monolith in front of him. Deciding that the best thing to do would be to approach it, he steps quickly to said object.
When face to face with the monolith and nothing happens, Subaru thinks that maybe touching it will activate an event. Just hoping it is not like a certain beacon from an amazing space game he slowly reaches his hand to the monolith center.
A shock rushes through the boy as a single, thunderous thought resonates through his brain. As if a divine being is speaking.
"Touch the brightest of the hero destroyed by Shaula"
And then reality fractured, and one monolith become two, two became three, and three became infinity.
Subaru gasps in shock and wonder at this event, while Shaula's eyes shine with excitement at such a visible change. She hurriedly rushed around the monoliths, trying to see if they had an ending. And after a while she returned to Subaru's side with dizzy eyes and collapsed on the ground.
"Woooww Masteer. Shaula cannot count past one hundred, there are definitely more monoliths than one hundred." Exclaims Shaula with a pained expression, as the mere thought of adding up the number of all these weird structures makes her brain hurt. She would cry in despair.
Subaru thinks the same . There were simply too many to count, and he had a sinking feeling that this goal wasn't as easy as touching a random monolith. On closer observation, he notices that the monolith were significantly smaller compared the original one. He glances around and after looking closely, sees that there are about 7 or eight monoliths the same size as the first one. He looks towards the stairs and door they came from and notices what can possibly be the monolith he just touched.
The boy was already quickly realizing Shaula's meaning. But he was pondering what that imposing voice has inquired. " Shaula did you hear a voice right now asking about anyone you have destroyed? Also, do you remember the name of any worthy opponents that you vanquished? Asks Subaru with hope in his eyes as this trial may be far easier than he thought, with Shaula by his side.
"Shaula only hears Master's voice! Because it is the most important in the world! However I did not hear any voice right now. I only hear my beloved master's voice that is so soothing and wonderful! Shaula is the luckiest maiden alive to hear Senpai's words!" Confesses the young heart-stricken lass to the boy, as he shares an expression of sheer disbelief. "Man he really trained her well, or treated her amazing for her to have such devotion and visible love to that disgusting Sage."
The lass in question then proceeds to completely destroy her beloved Master's expectations:
"Shaula destroys anyone that comes by our beloved tower, so I never have the chance to question their names. Sorry hehe." Winks a smug looking Shaula as she feels proud to keep all the vermin away from her and her Senpai's treasured home.
"I need to learn to stop being so hopeful regarding serious questions with this ditzy gal," thinks a slightly depressed Subaru.
With a sigh Subaru realizes he should just ask her the most straightforward question he can muster and says:
"Which is the strongest person you have ever fought in your life Shaula? Maybe we can start from there and work our way dow-
''HYEEEEEKKK!" Cries out the trembling girl as her usually calm and playful expression turns into one of absolute fear and despair. She starts hyperventilating and suffering what seems to be like a panic attack, until Subaru rushes to her in alarm and gives her a firm and calming embrace.
The girl melts into Subaru's chest and clutches his clothes, while having her eyes closed as if trying to fight off the dreadful memories that have invaded her tranquil mind.
"I am here Shaula, it is okay, just look at me please" Shaula whom is much calmer now that she is in the embrace of the person that she so admires and loves looks up hesitantly with an embarrassed face.
Shamed at showing such a uncool side of herself to her Senpai, nonetheless she looks up with a wary gaze at Subaru's frightening eyes which are exuding warmth and compassion. He continues:
"You don't have to think about my question anymore ok? It was rude of me to not consider that there may have been someone that gave you such a hard time. Believe it or not, I also had a lot of difficulty and met all sorts of people that would give me a hard time. So much that I became a coward and ran away from everything and hid myself in my room."
Here Subaru looks down as if ashamed by his own actions and being such a coward that let everyone down, except his angels that he has as parents that always showered him with warmth. Which only increased his self-loathing.
While immersed in his own haunted memories, a warm and soft hand gently cupped his cheek, shocking Subaru out of his wicked thoughts by how right that hand felt on his face. Shaula smiles gently, all of her despair and fear seemingly melted away, as her love for this wonderful man increased once more. She reverts back to her playful self and whispers:
"Master is making me fall in love all over again, that silver tongue of yours seems to have become even sharper. It is fine and I reeeally appreciate your help getting over that piece of shit tormenting me. I was just thinking of how much of a bully that person is, and how much I despised him due to his endless taunting of my gorgeous self. He would always bully the weak, and considering he was one of the strongest beings alive, that would mean basically everyone around."
Here Shaula continues to caress Subaru's cheek, and finding it to actually be comforting and helps to lift his spirits Subaru allows her to do as she pleases. While Shaula just continues explaining:
"Reid Astrea, a piece of shit with a domineering and thuggish attitude. He would always bully me! Good thing that Master is ten thousand times stronger than that walking piece of human garbage. It was so cool when you made that disgusting excuse of a man submit to you! Ahh my heart rate is increasing!" Finishes saying the overexcited young woman while getting close to Subaru's face. He just puts his palm on her forehead and moves her away while she pouts at the missed opportunity.
"While that was an entertaining tale, it will do little to help out our current dilemma of solving this trial. That smug book said that this would be a trial that only I could pass. Let's think more carefully on all the facts that I currently have in my grasp." Thinks Subaru.
The boy's expression then changes to one of determination as he analyses what he sees in front of him and starts processing his thoughts.
"Okay lets gather what we know. This trial was stated by that degenerate book(Rude!) that only I and itself could pass it. Meaning anyone else from this different world would be faced with nothing but failure. Does that mean it matters not what strength they may possess? Or knowledge that their own intellectuals would be unaware of? What makes this Pleiades Tower first trial something that I could pass but the rest of the denizens of this world could not?
Wait a second. What if it is knowledge not from this world, but from Earth that only I and the Sage would be privy to? And another thought, The very name of this tower is rather odd to hear. Pleaides is a constellation of stars from my world, what if the name isn't just some passing fancy, but is actually related to stars?" Upon further consideration, Aren't Shaula and my own name 'Subaru', names of stars?
This may be a riddle, or a question only people from Earth, or well versed in astronomy can answer. Haha, I see your point now wicked Flugel. This trial is very unfair to any residents of this strange fantasy world. Ok according to what I remember, The Star Shaula is part of Scorpio, and is also my hometown's star. If I remember right…
Subaru looks from a new train of thought as he glances at all the monoliths surrounding him and his companion. He suddenly has an urge to not look at the monoliths from the ground, but from a higher position. Finding no structures he could climb he becomes quickly frustrated. Until a queer idea invades his mind.
Turning to what may be the solution to his dilemma he speaks:
"Hey Shaula how high can you jump?"
"To the moon and back of course!" states Shaula with pride written on her face
"I am going to need you to carry me and jump as high as you can, The structure of this room is obviously not following the dimensions of the tower."
"Tis' should not be an issue for a first class lady like me!"
Shaula approaches her idol and grabs him in a bridal style position. Subaru's eyes widen and his face turns red from embarrassment to be in such a situation. He is quickly about to admonish Shaula to put him down and she just stares at Subaru with eyes so full of adoration and mischief that the words die in his throat.
"Let's go husband, hehe always wanted to say that!" Chirps a very happy lady as she bends her knees and jumps. Subaru does not even have time to pay attention to the last words Shaula says as his mind starts fracturing in awe.
Ten feet, twenty feet, thirty feet. Subaru stops counting after they passed the eighty foot mark. While in a daze from the hidden explosive strength found in this lithe woman that is carrying him, he knows he cannot allow himself to get distracted. He looks down from a new perspective at the monoliths that had troubled him so, and his eyes widen.
"So that is it! It's the constellations, and the brightest hero destroyed by Shaula is.!"
As they begin their descent both individuals are lost in their own thoughts. The boy in cursing this wicked trial for using knowledge probably not known in this world. And the girl gazing at her master with happiness and joy. To be reunited after four hundred years is the best thing that could have happened to her. Finally they reach the ground with little fanfare as Shaula just lightly bends her knees after that meteoric jump.
"Thank you Shaula, I could have been here forever without your assistance." Subaru tells Shaula while grinning brightly at figuring out the first trial's elusive answer. Shaula just beams in happiness at how nice she is being treated and demands some head pats, which Subaru happily gives to her.
The duo walk toward the two monolith that can be the only answer and this is when Subaru ponders some more:
"Orion was the star that Shaula, also known as the stinger, destroyed in astrology. So It can only be Betelgeuse or Rigel. For some reason Betelgeuse gives me an ominous sensation. Rigel it is!"
As Subaru and an excited Shaula approach the monolith. The boy takes a deep breath and touches the correct monolith, and they both vanish in a flash of light.
(Scene Change)
With a sound of a bubble popping, the duo end up a little dazed and bewildered. Subaru sits on the ground for a second, while Shaula just leans her head on his shoulder. With stars circling each other's heads they take a moment to calm down.
Wow that was kind of a cool effect. That first trial really did resemble something like in how a tower web comic would go about doing. So are we in the second trial room? Let's look arou-!?"
After raising his weary head, the boy stares in awe as his nasty looking eyes widen abruptly at the location they seem to have been teleported to. Rows upon rows of books stretched out in a concentric arrangement. Everywhere one looked at there just seemed to be a never ending scenes of books with a black hard cover.
"Did all of Wikipedia come from here or something?" Wonders out loud a startled Subaru. He takes a minute to calm down and starts stepping towards one of the aisles as he hears a wail of disbelief from behind him. Quickly he turns around and stares at a sobering girl who seems to be crying tears of despair. He goes to her thinking something serious has happened and then what she says seems to bring the boy to slip and hit his head:
"NOOOOO, Shaula hates books! What is so good about even reading? Why would anyone want to stay cooped up here, when there is a whole fun and exciting world out there? People that read all day are just wasting their youth! Before they realize it they could have been having fun and going on dates. Enjoying the air felt on their face, the joy of being alive and happily playing in a forest, instead of being a pathetic shut in! ( Subaru violently flinches at these words).
Master would always lock me up here when I annoyed you. Claiming that books are the heart of (blah blah blah), I always stopped listening after you mentioned that dreaded word. This place frightens me!"
The girl continuous her mournful monologue as Subaru decides to ignore his pitiful companion and once more gets close to the nearest aisle. With deft fingers he picks up a tome, glancing at the title of the book.
The Witch of Wrath whose only sin was healing one while dooming the many
Minerva
"What is this about a witch? Is this a mere fiction or a biography of sorts?" Murmurs Subaru as he beings to open the book and flips the pages, growing increasingly puzzled as he realizes a perturbing thought. "There is nothing written here at all? How utterly bizarre. Let's reach for another one."
The boy puts the book in its original position between the book's fellow companions, and walks to another aisle on an ascending staircase and briefly thinks before plucking another one out of its resting place. Gazing at the cover title his brow furrows as a small frown appears on his face. He hears some quiet sniffles from his rather simple minded companion and looks at her for a second. Confirming she is just finally adjusting to being in her own personal hell and reads the cover once more.
The Witch of Pride who imparted her naïve judgement on all souls, whether guilty or not
Typhon
Once more going through the book and realizing it is just blank. Like a fresh canvas waiting to be given life by a passionate artist. So does the book appear to want to be filled with the story of this prideful Witch. The confused boy just shelves it back and walks with slow steps to sit down on one of the tables near him and proceeds to sit down. Leaning back to let his weight sink in the comfortable chair he gazes at the high ceiling and intricate chandeliers and just wonders what is this place.
" I feel like these books cannot all be blank. However the sheer idea of searching through them all to find one that has been written is exhausting. It could take years and if I ask Shaula to help she would faint. There must be thousands of such odd tomes, and why is it that the two books I picked out on a whim have witches? Again too many questions, and no one around to even answer." Finishes thinking to himself a weary eyed Subaru.
Shaula had stopped crying because that's not what first class ladies do in her opinion! Not one bit, especially not in front of their dear master. She is still feeling sad at being in this macabre library but gets herself together and winds up sitting next to her most dazzling star and laying her head on his shoulders. Instantly calming down and becoming ecstatic as an absent minded Subaru pats her head, already used to this lovable fools antics.
He smirks with amusement at the thought of how it hadn't even been that long since meeting Shaula and she has quickly become his steady rock in a raging river to hold onto, without fearing he would be dragged away by the despair and agony faced during his first death. Flinching slightly at that thought he asks his clingy maiden:
"Say Shaula what is you eat around here? From my brief trip outside the tower it certainly did not seem like this area is teeming with food or even any nearby settlements? By the way I forgot to ask, is it just you here and why are you here?
With a look of visible disgust and a pained expression, that make Subaru curious, she vehemently states:
"Pah, there is nothing to eat here but the mabeast meat, and it tastes so horrible I can barely swallow it down even after four hundred years of guarding this place for master. However Shaula is nothing but a first class lady herself, and will always obey her Sen… Master." She then proceeds to have a forlorn look in her eyes, as if remembering better times. With a soft sigh she leans herself more deeply into the boys shoulder while concluding her sad sojourn of memories:
"I remember the lavish feasts and adventures Master and I used to have, whether in that pretty city of water, that made Shaula always want to join and play with the cute water dragons, to the quiet inns located by lovely forests. Sitting down and eating some meat and Tatoes(smirk) while sleeping with a full beeellyy was the best!"
Subaru was opening his mouth in shock and disbelief at how many incredible facts he was learning from his new friend.
"The fact that she is at least, or over four hundred years is kind of amazing, yet considering there is a magical depraved book with a collection of otaku related things that could rival Akihabara ( Holy Land of Weebs), nothing surprises me as much. How sad that she had to be by herself for four hundred years. I cannot imagine the loneliness she must have suffered and endured. It is not even like she can pass the time by reading these weird blank books. Maybe she watched some of those blue rays that the perverted Sage had? What is she even guarding? What is so important about this tower? So many questions, not enough answers like always."
Muses Subaru to himself as he unconsciously puts a hand around Shaula's shoulder as to re-affirm that he is there, and he won't leave her alone anymore. She melts against her beloved master's considerate touch and is truly happy by being next to the reason her existence.
"Shaula I have many questions but not enough answers. All I want to tell you is that we will be leaving this damned tower sooner than I thought, especially if there is nothing to eat." With firm eyes filled with determination he continues: " I also promise you Shaula, you will never be alone again. I am not confident I can be the person you expect me to be, but I will not let you suffer the sickness that is loneliness. On that you have my word."
Subaru gets up with newfound confidence and extends his pinky finger to the shell shocked girl, feeling for the first time raw emotions of happiness, bewilderment, and pure bliss she extends her left pinky, slightly trembling as they seal this deal. A moment in history happening that would cause enormous changes to the entire world.
Both of them unaware that a highly amused sliver haired girl had faint tears of joy falling from her gorgeous amethyst eyes, at watching this tender and heart warming moment.
…Scene Change…
(Upcoming mad weeb vibes)
The boy and girl find themselves back in the general area where Subaru had awakened currently in front of a room that had warning signs on it saying top secret and access denied. The annoyed boy shares a glance with the mirthful lass and questions:
" Is this the area where the 'ecchi books are'? Why am I feeling major otaku vibes oozing out of this room Shaula?' Subaru shivers and looks at a poster of a smug Yoki Littner (Gurenn Lagann) with her hands on her hips plastered on the door, as if daring the fool to traverse into this madhouse of weebness. Subaru thinks of his room and finds himself oddly jealous of what is undoubtedly a rare collector poster art.
Shaula looks at the poster and approves of Yoki's fashion choice while saying with a fond voice:
"Sigh this is Masters slice of heaven room, you would be here all the time when you were not travelling on your own assignments. Or in that horrid library we just thankfully left. You would always gaze upon Yoki with a very soft expression, as if this room was your everything. Hehe master was so cute reading all his manga or watching anime. Sometimes When Shaula did good I had your permission to watch with you. And we would spend hours debating a scene or a heart breaking moment. Sigh, those days were the best." The nascent otaku girl remembers those amazing moments with mirth.
With a shake of his head he attempts to open the door and finds it locked to his surprise. He turns around to ask why to Shaula when what sounds like a heavily passionate voice starts speaking:
"This is my Otaku Dreamland, My second greatest creation, where the most magnificent of art and treasures are contained. Meant to be treated with care and studied with a critical eye. As a museum curator acts towards a precious Renaissance fresco, so is my sheer devotion and sincere worship to everything here. A paradise meant for those far too long ostracized by society just for liking other types of animation. How dare they compare western cartoons and comics with what is the true art of salvation and enjoyment." Here the voice pauses as if remembering bad memories. Subaru even hears some curse words from the voice talking about ' stupid trolls and Thor is alright but not as cool as Enel' (One Piece lighting figure). The voice's words grow more stern and then continues:
Unworthy individuals are subjected to extreme violence and immediate transportation to where the warm and cuddly bears reside outside my magnificent tower. Answer this question to pass, are you ready? While Subaru was stuttering the voice questions:
"What is the greatest title ever bestowed upon my handsome self?"
While Subaru is feeling ready to faint in embarrassment at the utter bafflement he is unfairly being subjected too, Shaula's eyes are sparkling with excitement as she recites the words that are etched into her soul and adopts a familiar pose that makes the boy cringe and with a firm and loud voice, the novice weeb responds:
"The land of the rising sun may have many people and islands, but only one is the true pro gamer and voyeur of fine entertainment , It is I! Flugel the Legendary Otaku Connoisseur! The Only Title My Legendary Self Humbly Accepts!"
Complete and utter silence is what follows the bombastic reply by Shaula whom has her head held up in pride, knowing there is only one answer to that holy question. The voice smugly announces:
"How passionate and worthy you are Shaula. My apprentice I have taught you well what it means to be a fledgling weeb. Very well enter and be prepared to have your brain tremble in excitement!" Chuckles the voice as it fades away and the door swings open.
While Subaru is brain dead Shaula jumps up in joy and hurriedly grabs the depressed boy's hand and proceed to enter the one true holy room in all of the tower. Not discounting a certain pouting half elf's abode.
Subaru enters and his numbed brain gets overtaken by burning otaku passion as he looks around in awe. To his left at least several thousands of figurines are displayed with various poses. He can see the lithe figure with determined eyes of Mikasa Ackerman (Attack on Titan), as well as a nostalgic familiar magical girl, posing with a cute expression and holding her wand up high ( Card Captor Sakura).
He looks to his right and it is nothing but shelves and glass displays stuffed with blue rays and manga editions. Three of the glass displays stand in the form of a triangle, with each of the displays containing either Luffy and his crew having fun on a large scale Thousand Sunny ( One Piece), Ichigo doing battle with Aizen as Rukia cheers him on( Bleach). And finally a signed frame where Naruto 'accidentally' kissed his emo boyfriend.
Subaru gulps and is already re thinking his idea of leaving the tower so soon. How long can a person last without eating? Several weeks or more perhaps? Certainly a couple of days could be spared to greedily ransack this room and take his rightful compensation, due to inflicted trauma.
Shaula is already lounging on what looks like a twitch streamer's place of work, meaning their gaming chair and thirty two inch high resolution monitor, while she powers up the computer. Subaru gets close to her and wonders how can she use it if she is illiterate.
And then glancing at the desk he sees her humming Naruto's fourth opening song (Fighting Dreamers) while clicking pictures displaying what action does what, as an illustration. Shaking his head at Flugel's sheer levels of obsession towards the sheer perfect setup he has for his apprentice to enjoy her shows in peace. While loving nothing more than to just lose himself in temptation and stay here for years he needs to read the second volume of this God of Depravity.
He asks the girl where is the 'ecchi collection' and she motions to her left, where there is a bookshelf but instead of being filled up with those strange black books, it is chock full of light novels and a small section saying ' Flugel's Ecchi collection of art, you touch and you die'.
Already passed being shocked he approaches the bookshelf and starts rummaging through what he thought were mere books at first. Then his eyes widen and he grabs the whole collection and dumps it on the floor,
(A certain book winces in pain at the treatment of its holy collection of art being dumped on the floor)
Subaru eyes grow crazy as he rapidly shifts his gaze to each 'book', and his face reddens like a tomato while a faint trickle of blood comes out of his nose. Without noticing her, Shaula seems to look at what master threw on the floor. And smiling fondly picks one up and starts explaining:
"Ahhh this one brings memories Master. The art is very good and it helped Shaula understand a lot about what couples do In their doki-doki moments. ( When someone's heart beat increases, wink, wink). With a puzzled frown Shaula keeps on talking:
"Master I always did want to ask you about this one scene, but since you were not here I had no way to know. But Yay you are here now so I can fire away! Master, why does this big Oppai Onee-san gets down on her knees with passion in her eyes, surrounded by three men as they start unzipping their pants and then she opens her mou-
Quietly a cold and emotionless voice interrupts the curious maiden's question:
"Burn it. Burn it all right now."
"Huh? But Master this is yo-"
"I DO NOT CARE! Burn this filthy room to nothingness! Matter of fact we are leaving this tower now and you can destroy it all, I care not exploring this cursed tower anymore. I clearly stumbled upon a red flag somewhere, and had the innocence I worked so hard to maintain violated so cruelly." Violently states a furious Wrathbaru. All the sites that he purposely didn't click on and pursue the depravity he could have so easily fallen into temptation. All that will power to remain pure even if aware of the true sin of humanity, wasted on a damn perverse book and haunted tower.
" I am sorry Master, but I cannot do that, as it is in clear violation of my commands gifted from yourself. You told this first class lady that if ever you suffered a moment of forgetfulness and wanted to get rid of your precious Holyland, then for Shaula to either kill us both or to knock you out and restrain you. Now master while I reeeally like the present self that you are, I cannot violate this since we swore to Od Laguna.
Now I beg Master to reconsider for I really don't want to do any of those things. And I haven't finished the latest season of My Hero Academia yet, so I will have to stand up for once dear Master." Concludes a sorrowful yet determined Shaula, finding a thrill in finally making her sweet Senpai bewildered. After all this super smart lady is only following her commands from master yes? It is not due her selfishness in wanting to keep on watching Midoriya trials and tribulations correct? Yes it is only right to make sure none of these precious works of art get oh, such cruelty as being destroyed.
Wrathbaru calms down and slowly starts realizing that he let his emotions slip his control. With a long hard stare at this room he knows he could never bring himself to end this promised land of art and entertainment. Yet his eyes narrows and he concludes that these books he dumped on the floor tainted his innocent mind so they must go. After some deep breathes he regains focus and reaches a compromise with this fierce fan of arts such as himself and says:
"Very well you were right Shaula I will rescind my previous statement. However, these cursed depravities must be eradicated, and I shall not stand for no other response that yes. I will not budge from this, Is that clear?"
She sees the firm determination in her Senpai's eyes and while a little sorrowful that she may not get to take a peek at these superb doujinshi again, is happy that this is a clever loophole her new favorite master has exploited. After all he never did specify if the protection of Holyland encompassed all of it, or just some source material. So she agrees with a firm nod and gestures for Subaru to step aside and with a finger gun she quotes from her favorite anime martial artist:
"Omae Wa Mou Shindeiru"
(If you don't know where this is from then get cultured you pleb)
Before the cursed hentai could yell NANI!? They were obliterated from existence as if they had never existed, while only a very tiny crater was formed in this reinforced dream land for all fans of depravity.
In the capital of Lugunica a certain red haired young man was doing his patrol rounds, while apologizing for almost bumping into a family. This man never stumbles, nor flinches, his divine protections warn him of all danger and grant him the divine ability of telling salt from sugar, truly something chefs would die of jealousy of. He stumbles because he faintly hears the worst wail of his life. Even in his battles and clashes has he not heard such an agonizing scream of despair. As if someone's family had been summarily executed in front of them. Truly curious the young sword saint looks at the location the agonized despair or/and cry for help originated.
"Is that not the location of the Agria Sand Dunes?" Ponders the red haired OP knight and as he was about to maybe go and try to take a look his thoughts suddenly dispel as he sees a young girl of ten about to trip over some haphazardly objects strewn upon the road. And alas, the weeb books cry of agony and pain went unheard to all but two individuals currently pressing their ears to their temples.
End Of Chapter 2
Author's Notes
Thank you all for reading this story that is slowly spiraling into the rabbit hole of weebness it should never have been allowed to approach in the first place. Luckily, My good friends Crypticz, and Saito are there to help me before this whole fan fiction becomes a Joji reference.
My Editor-Sama Herrshyyk does not mind what path I lead us all down to as long as he has corrections to make and use his god abilities to make this story legible. I truly don't deserve you my friend.
As I upload these and get the fully edited chapters back from him, I will go back and correct my grammar, punctuation and plethora other mistakes I made.
I really appreciate the honest and passionate reviews some of you left in my previous chapters. I was truly not expecting so many people to like this and will strive will all my being (When not being oh, so Slothful) to keep motivated and update regularly.
Now with all that being said I will state something. Despite all the fun it is to make two million anime references it will tone itself down considerably since I still have a very interesting path to show all of you.
However I will make a poll later once I even figure out how to do that and let the audience decide.
1 Weeb book third and final volume stays with Subaru and Shaula during their adventures. It would be at 40% weebness and would not comment on everything. More like just when you forget it even exits, it will come and the world shall know pain.
2 Book gets hell sniped to oblivion and part of both of my stars hearts shatter, but they hear trumpets from heaven and unlock an Xbox achievement of Slayers of Mankind's greatest Sin.
Now while writing hyperbole is always fun I will leave it up to you all. Also I will soon begin editing the utterly random and madness that was my second fic, Phantasmagoria. Wrote in 2 hours running off nothing but a sick desire to see a circus fic, I unleashed my worst writing skills to date while not even remembering writing it properly.
I am also planning a third fic that I will slowly work on and evolve, I will be releasing one chapter a week of one of my three fics so as to not get burnt out. So I Beg for patience and understanding. This one is still my Baby
Well that's it and see you next chapter and below there is a little gem for the Steins Gates fans that I deleted after consideration
"Oi, Shaula do you know anything about this trial or room? You have been living here for a while right?
The girl in question was still examining the room and thinking how much running she would have to do to reach the end while she hears her dear Senpai's words. Shaula abruptly turns around and replies with a small frown:
"Master you are so mean! You told me never to go beyond the floor where we both resided in. While laughing crazily muttering about secret projects up here that I was not allowed to watch." The ditzy woman stops talking as a pout appears on her gorgeous face and she closes her eyes while thinking deeply.
Until the moment where she finally recollects her faint memories of the past interactions she had with her master, and with a smug expression declares:
"I REMEMBER MASTER! I do not remember when this happened but I think it was after a century of living here that you became veryyy isolated and would shut yourself in your room. You were so mean to me as well, saying you were busy trying to re-create a… hmphhh… micro… wave? (Nani?!)
Yes you wanted to make a microwave, hehe sorry Shaula is bad with big words." She sticks out her tongue apologetically with a content expression on her face to finally remember another treasure word her master had tried to teach her.
"OHHH! You had the funniest laugh and phrases as well. Hmmm what where they?
"I Remember!" Shaula clears her throat and puts her right hand over the bottom half of her face as if it was stylish, while her left arm was at her midsection posing as if the world would not be the same if she did not show this supreme style. While cackling manically she declared with eyes filled of passion and playing here favorite game with her beloved master:
" I am the great mad scientist, Hououin Kyoma!"
"Theories are nothing more than words. Accept what you have seen!" Finishes quoting Shaula with a mad cackle that would make Okabe shed a tear of joy.
The boy is just feeling a sense of loss, as he feels another part of his soul being lost to the depravity of Flugel. He narrows his eyes and clenches his headache as he has a brief idea why that weird bastard Sage would want a microwave.
"Umm, Shaula, why would I want something like a microwave?" Subaru replies while feeling faintly sick to his stomach, already expecting an answer that will shatter his fragile perception of Flugel.
"Master wanted the mircooowavee for a specific reason, You do not remember even this Master? We travelled all over the kingdoms to find a weird yellow fruit that you kept insisting was called a banana!" Smugly answers Shaula as she spins around on one foot, happy that she remembered another memory that her dear Master could not recall.
Okay this is it, I am about to be done with this damned Sage. He tried to re-create Okabe's time travel experiment here? He is no El Psy Congro. I am done thinking about this weirdness or I may very well lose my mind.
