Paul walked up to the apartment of the Kavanagh's as he knocked and saw Helen holding one of the girls in her arms and she nodded, letting him in and leaned in close speaking in a whisper, worried that the Waverly's were listening in,

"Thanks for coming at such a short notice, Mr. Drake. I think the Waverly's are planning on hurting Natalie."

Paul immediately went into protection mode,

"How so? When did you hear this?"

Helen nodded,

"The last time we brought the girls back in after our evening walk, they were talking rather loudly as if they were arguing. It seemed that Elizabeth was trying to dissuade Jeremy from poisoning her. But Jeremy stood his ground which ended up with him winning the argument. I think they're going to poison her water that she drinks during the trial. I've seen the water glass by her seat."

Paul nodded,

"Thank you, Helen. I hope you know that I'm more than willing to lay down my own life for Natalie. She's the baby sister I never had."

Helen nodded speaking normally since they weren't talking about case sensitive stuff,

"She's truly blessed to have you, Mr. Mason and Miss Street watching over her right now. What about her and Peter? I've noticed on our evening walks that her and Peter have been going on evening walks around the same path as us."

Paul smiled,

"They're growing closer. I think they're in love and that Nat's accepted this which has helped her in the healing/grieving process. She's grown so much since she first became Perry's client and we're all so proud of her. You do know that Perry's going to call you to the stand first tomorrow."

Helen nodded,

"Anything to help clear Natalie's name."

Once Paul got back to the office and once he saw that Natalie or Peter weren't there,

"Perry, I talked with Helen. Apparently, Jeremy is planning on poisoning Nat. We need to keep an eye on her water glass in the courtroom."

Perry also jumped into protection mode,

"Have Peter and Della keep a very close eye on it."

"Hey, Nat? Could you come here please?"

Della called the night before they were due back in court as Natalie walked to her,

"Yes, Della?"

Della smiled and handed Natalie a box and as Natalie opened it she gasped and happy tears sprung up,

"These are your pearls; I can't wear them."

Della smiled; she was allowing Natalie to wear the pearls she received from her father when she graduated from high school.

"Della, darling."

Her father had called her to the kitchen holding the necklace behind his back as her mother smiled brightly.

"Yes, Daddy?"

Her father smiled as he handed her the wrapped box as Della opened it to reveal the pearls as she smiled brightly hugging her parents.

"Oh, thank you Momma and Daddy."

Natalie shook her head and tried to hand the box back to Della,

"No, Natalie. You need to wear them. Daddy told me that pearls are a sign of strength for women in the Street family."

Natalie nodded as she took them,

"Thank you, Della. I promise to make you and Mr. Mason proud."

Della smiled brightly,

"You already have, Natalie."

Natalie smiled and the next morning when they made it to court,

"You're going to be fine, Peter. I love you."

Natalie said before kissing Peter softly as Peter smiled,

"I don't want to hurt you."

Natalie smiled,

"What could you possibly say that would? Our love is deep enough that nothing would ever change what I think about you."

They nodded as Natalie sat down taking a sip of water that, to Jeremy's knowledge and not to everyone else's knowledge, was already poisoned.

Helen's testimony, to Natalie, proved to be very effective as she turned around to talk to Paul as Elizabeth placed the second poisoned glass of water by Natalie as she turned around as Perry called Peter to the stand,

"How did you come to know the defendant Mr. Hawk?"

Perry asked as Peter smiled gently at Natalie,

"We met as children in elementary school. I fell for her as soon as I saw her."

Natalie blushed and looked down with a bashful smile as Peter sent her a smile.

Perry nodded,

"Now, you came to me a few weeks ago willing to testify on Ms. Henderson's account. What caused you to make that choice?"

Christina jumped on the question,

"Objection, calls for conclusion of the witness!"

Perry nodded and was about to speak when he heard Natalie's suffocated gasp behind him as he turned just in time to see Della help Natalie to the floor and looked at the half empty glass as someone hollered for an ambulance as Peter ran to her side,

"Nat! Nat, can you hear me?"

Peter said as he shook her as Natalie remained unresponsive. Paul got down on the ground and gathered Natalie in his strong arms as a gurney was brought to the courtroom as he laid Natalie on the gurney his kissed her forehead.

Hours passed for the team, hours that felt like days, when the doctor on call finally walked to the waiting room to announce that Natalie had been poisoned but she was lucky that it wasn't strong enough to kill her.

"Is she going to be alright?"

Peter asked as the doctor nodded,

"She's in a coma right now, but if her body reacts to the medicine we're giving her. I'd give it a week before she comes out of it."

Perry and Della looked to each other,

"Can we see her?"

Perry asked as the doctor nodded,

"Yes, follow me."

When the team saw Natalie lying in the bed, looking so helpless. Their knees buckled as Perry took the chair closest to the bed and took her hand in his,

"You gave us quite the scare, Nat. But you're OK now, there are people here to help you get better."

Perry said as tears fell down his face as Della took Natalie's other hand as she ran a hand along her face and smiled softly,

"We're all here, together. You're going to make it out of this."

Peter and Paul were out in the hallway,

"I noticed Elizabeth Waverly place the second glass of water by Natalie before I went on the stand. I don't think half a glass would do any harm… unless…"

Peter started as he and Paul looked to each other and ran to the courthouse to talk to Christina Matthews and after explaining that Natalie had been poisoned by the Waverly's,

"Wait, so you're saying that the Waverly's have been out to get Natalie and her Aunt and Uncle for years?"

Christina asked after she heard what Paul and Peter had to say as they nodded.

"Yes, Christina, the Waverly's have been in the drug business since before Natalie was born. She told us this months ago. Before the first day in court, she was planning on testifying on her behalf and opening up about before the poisoning today."

Christina nodded,

"Well, I can send the police back over there and we can try to catch them red handed. But I can't make any promises. Oh, and please tell Natalie that I hope she gets better soon. I'm starting to believe that there's no possible way that she could've killed her Aunt and Uncle."

Paul and Peter nodded as they rushed back to the hospital with beaming smiles,

"Apparently, Christina is beginning to believe that Natalie's innocent and that she's going to send the police to the Waverly's to see if they can catch them red handed. And she hopes that Natalie gets well soon."

Paul whispered as Della and Perry looked to each other with smiles before Perry continued to talk to Natalie in a whisper as Peter took Della's place as Della and Paul went to back to the office.

"She'll be fine Della. She's with the men she needs the most, Peter and Perry."

Paul said and Della hugged him close before walking out of the hospital.
