Hello, readers. Trixter here. Welcome to this new story. I assume that since you're reading this, you must know about the story of Izuku Midoriya. A young, powerless boy born in a world where everyone else has powers. Due to his unfortunate circumstances, he is constantly looked down on, bullied, and discriminated against. And yet, all he ever wanted to do is become a hero. And on one fateful day, he would get his chance. The day he met his idol, All Might, and proved to them that he is a hero at heart. It was this event that would lead to him receiving One For All and set him on the path to becoming the world's greatest hero.
But what if things went differently. What if something unexpected occurred and changed the course of history forever. That is what we will be seeing in this story. You see, we're going to perform a little experiment. We are going to give our wonderful green-haired hero a gift. A gift from another world. The Omnitrix. For those of you familiar with the world of Ben 10, you know exactly what this device is. An incredibly powerful alien device that grants it's user the ability to transform into over a million different alien creatures. The most notable wielder of the Omnitrix is Ben Tennyson. But what happens when the Omnitrix ends up in the hands of Izuku Midoriya instead? Let's find out.
Izuku was walking home after yet another brutal day of school. He was staring at his charred and soaked notebook as he thought about the time when he found out he was Quirkless.
"Do you think... I can be a hero too?" Izuku recalled the question he asked so long ago.
"I'm sorry, Izuku... I wish things were different..." His mother's words echoed in his mind.
'Mom... That's not what I needed you to say. Couldn't you see? My world was crumbling. There was only one thing I wanted to hear...' Izuku thought. "...Why couldn't you just say it...?" He asked.
Suddenly, a bright light appeared in the sky, getting Izuku's attention.
"Huh?" As Izuku looked up, he spotted something flying through the air. "A shooting star? But it's the middle of the day." He said.
The "shooting star" suddenly changed it's course and came flying straight towards Izuku.
Izuku widened his eyes. "AAH!" He screamed as he ran away.
The "star" crashed into the ground, knocking Izuku off his feet, and creating a long crater.
As the dust cleared, Izuku got up and cautiously approached the crater. He stood at the edge of the crater and looked inside and saw the crashed object.
"Is it some sort of satellite?" Izuku wondered.
The ground Izuku was standing on then crumbled and he fell down in front of the mysterious object. As he stood up, the object, which was actually a pod, opened up, revealing a strange looking watch with a green glow. The Omnitrix.
"A watch? What's a watch doing in outer space?" Izuku wondered. As he stared at the watch, his curiosity got the better of him. He moved closer and reached out to it.
The watch suddenly jumped at Izuku and latched onto his arm.
"Aah! Get off me! Get off! Get off!" Izuku panicked as he tried his hardest to remove the watch.
After a few minutes of trying to remove the watch, Izuku finally gave up and took a deep breath.
"Okay, calm down. It doesn't feel like it's hurting me. I think I'm fine." Izuku said as he sat down and analyzed the watch. "What is this thing?" He wondered.
As he stared at the watch, he decided to press one of the buttons on it, causing the dial to pop up. A strange silhouette appeared on the dial.
"Whoa. That's pretty cool." Izuku said.
Izuku then pressed the dial and something miraculous happened. A green flash of light appeared as he began transforming. Volcanic rocks began covering his entire body as his insides became fire. The next thing he knew, he looked like a completely different person. He had transformed into a Pyronite.
"AAH!" Izuku screamed in fear. "I'm on fire! I'm on fire! Somebody help!" He shouted as he stopped, dropped, and rolled.
After a moment of panicking, Izuku stood.
"Wait a minute. I'm on fire, but I feel fine." Izuku said as he looked at himself. "What happened to me?" He wondered.
Izuku then came to a realization and decided to test his theory. He pointed his hand at a random spot in the crater and, to his shock, fired a blast of fire at the ground.
"Whoa! No way! I... I can shoot fire! It's kind of like Endeavor... Is this... a Quirk?" Izuku asked himself. "...I... I have a Quirk!" Tears of fire began pouring from his eyes as he smiled. "I'M NOT QUIRKLESS!" He yelled proudly and laughed with joy.
Izuku continued to laugh happily as he created three balls of fire and began juggling them. He then fired a blast into the sky, which exploded into his name like a firework.
"YES! YES! YES!" Izuku jumped up and down. "I don't have to be Deku anymore! Looks like my luck's finally turning around!" He smiled. "Oh! I've gotta tell mom the good news! And- And maybe Kacchan too!" He said excitedly as he crawled out of the crater and began sprinting home.
As he made his way home, Izuku saw something incredible. It was All Might. The greatest hero in the world. Right in front of him. They were cleaning up some sludge that had been scattered around the area.
"No way! All Might?! It's really you!" Izuku felt himself beginning to freak out.
"Hmm?" All Might noticed Izuku. "Fear not, citizen. This villain has already been dealt with." He said.
"Huh? Villain? That... stuff... was a villain?" Izuku asked.
"Yes and a rather slippery one at that. But I tracked them down and stopped them. All I have to do is capture them and I'll be on my way." All Might explained.
"Oh? Well- uh- do you want any help?" Izuku asked.
"No, I think I've got it. Besides, you look like you'd probably melt the bottle." All Might joked.
"Oh, yeah. You're probably right." Izuku gave a nervous laugh. 'Is it really safe to just put the villain in a bottle?' He thought to himself.
As All Might continued scooping up the Sludge Villain, Izuku approached, seeing this as an opportunity to ask them a very important question.
"Um... Mr. All Might, sir? Can I- um- ask you something?" Izuku asked.
"Sure, I've got time." All Might said.
"Great! S-so- um... Well, I was just wondering if you think someone like me can become a hero. I want to know if I could ever be like you." Izuku said.
While he now has a Quirk, Izuku still wanted to hear if All Might thinks he has what it takes to become a hero.
"Well, I don't see why not. You look like you've got a pretty good Quirk on you. With the right training, I'm sure you'll become a great hero." All Might said as he finished gathering the last of the Sludge Villain.
"R-really?! You really think I can do it?!" Izuku asked.
"Of course!" All Might gave a thumbs up and began walking away. "Just remember, one of the most important things any hero can have is drive. If you are truly willing to work hard enough to protect and save people, then you will no doubt become a wonderful hero."
Izuku smiled and felt himself beginning to cry. "I-I will! I'll work as hard as I have to!" He promised.
"That's great! Now then, I'm afraid I must be going. Till we meet again!" He yelled as he leaped into the air.
"Bye, All Might! Thank you for the advice!" Izuku yelled. "Oh no! I forgot to get his autograph!" He gasped.
But then he realized something.
"Wait a minute. My notebook and my backpack! I completely forgot about them. I think they fell off when that pod crashed." Izuku said as he turned around and went back for his stuff.
"Oh, man. Mom is totally gonna freak out when she sees me. I hope I don't scare her too much." Izuku said.
Once he was back at the crater, Izuku looked around and spotted his things on the ground.
"Oh, good. It's all still here." Izuku said as he was about to pick up his notebook and backpack. "Wait. What if I burn it? How am I supposed to carry stuff like this?" He wondered.
Suddenly, the Omnitrix symbol on Izuku's chances began beeping and flashing red. After a few seconds, a flash of red light occured and Izuku had reverted back to his normal, human state.
"What?! No! No, no, no! What happened to my Quirk?!" Izuku began to panic as he tried to use the now red watch over and over again. "Come on! Make me transform again! Please!" He begged.
But nothing happened.
Izuku just stared at the watch with a defeated look. "Did it's batteries die or something...? How am I supposed to recharge it...?" He wondered.
Izuku sighed and picked up his things, accepting the fact that the watch no longer worked.
"Back to being 'Quirkless Deku', huh? That's what I get for getting my hopes up..." Izuku said as began walking home.
Izuku entered his home with depressed look on his face. He was immediately greeted by his mother, Inko.
"Oh, hi, Izuku! How was school?" Inko asked from the living room.
Izuku put on a fake smile. "It was fine. Just another ordinary day." He said.
"Hmm. Well, that's good. I heard there was a villain attack at Tatooin Station this morning, so I was really worried." Inko said.
Inko then noticed the watch on Izuku's left wrist.
"What's that?" Inko asked.
"Uh, it's a... toy." Izuku answered.
"Oh. It's an interesting looking watch." Inko said.
"Y-yeah. I- uh- thought it looked cool and decided to buy it." Izuku said. "Um, anyway, I'm gonna head into my room now."
"O-okay." Inko said as Izuku entered his room.
Izuku sat at the desk in his room and sighed. He looked at the still red watch and laid his head down on the desk. As he sat there, he thought back to when he was using his fire powers.
"So that's what it feels like to have a Quirk... Well, it was fun while it lasted..." Izuku said.
Suddenly, the watch beeped, getting Izuku's attention. When he looked at the watch, it was now glowing green again.
"Huh?" Izuku was confused. "Is it..." He pressed the button on the Omnitrix and the dial popped up, just like before.
The silhouette from earlier appeared on the dial once again.
Izuku's eyes lit up. "It's working! It must have recharged on it's own!" He realized.
This time, Izuku twisted the dial, cycling through various other silhouettes.
"Ten. Are these ten different transformations?" Izuku wondered.
He then selected one of the other transformations and pushed the dial, causing another flash of green light.
As he transformed, his body turned black and white as various green lines appeared on the black parts of his body. Izuku had become Galvanic Mechamorph.
Inko noticed the strange noise and flash of green light in Izuku's room, and went to go investigate.
"Izuku?" Inko opened the door and saw something terrifying. There was some monster in Izuku's room.
"Huh?! Uh-oh! Um- okay, don't freak out." The monster said.
"AAAAAAHHHHH!" Inko screamed and immediately grabbed the closest object to use as a weapon, which was one of Izuku's All Might figurines. "Who are you and what have you done with my son?!" She asked.
"AAH! Mom! Put that back!" The monster said, afraid the toy might sustain damage.
Inko was stunned as she realized who the monster was. "Izuku?" She questioned.
"Yes! It's me, mom." Izuku confirmed.
"Oh, my goodness! What happened to you?!" Inko asked.
"Um, well, you might want to sit down for this one." Izuku said.
Now in the living room, Izuku explained everything to Inko.
"And while I was in my room, the watch recharged so I decided to use it again and this time I turned into this." Izuku finished.
"But you'll turn back, right?" Inko asked.
"I think so. That's what happened before." Izuku said.
Right on cue, the Omnitrix symbol on Izuku's chest began beeping and flashing red before Izuku suddenly reverted back to normal.
"Izuku!" Inko immediately lunged forward and hugged her son tight.
"M-mom! I told you, I'm fine." Izuku assured.
"Thank goodness. You really had me worried!" Inko said.
"But isn't this great! I finally have a Quirk now! Ten in fact! I can't wait to find out what all I can do!" Izuku smiled as looked at the watch.
"Um... Izuku. Are you sure it's a good idea to keep using that thing? There could be side effects." Inko said.
"Well... I mean, I think it's fine. I feel fine. Even when transformed, it felt surprisingly natural." Izuku said.
"Even so, I really think we should focus on trying to get that thing off of you." Inko said.
"No! I-I don't want to take it off!" Izuku refused.
"Izuku, you don't even know what all that thing can do. Or what it even is." Inko reminded.
"I know enough. This is my chance, mom. Don't you see that? With the help of this watch, I can finally become a hero! I can be like All Might! He actually said it himself!" Izuku said.
"He did?" Inko questioned.
"Yeah! I actually met All Might earlier and asked him if I could become a hero like him. And he said yes!" Izuku explained. "I don't know what this thing is or why it ended up in my hands, but right now, it feels like this watch is everything I've ever asked for. Please don't take this from me. Let me use it. I promise, if I notice anything wrong with it, I'll stop using it." He said.
Inko frowned. She knew how much this meant to Izuku. And with how difficult things have been over the years, she just couldn't bring herself to say no to him.
Inko sighed. "Fine. As long as it seems safe, you can use the watch. But the second ANYTHING about it seems wrong, we're removing it."
"YES! Thank you!" Izuku hugged Inko before dashing towards the front door.
"Izuku? Where are you going?" Inko asked.
"The beach! I gotta start training for the UA Entrance Exams!" Izuku said as he left.
"But you know you can't use your Quirk in public!" Inko tried to warn, but Izuku was already long gone.
Inko sighed and gave a soft smile. This was the happiest she had seen Izuku in years. And seeing him this happy made her happy too. She absolutely couldn't ruin this for him.
At the Takoba Municipal Beach Park, Izuku was preparing to learn all he could about his new powers.
"Jeez, this place is a mess." Izuku said as he looked at all the trash on the beach. "Oh well, I need a open space to safely test my new Quirks, so this will have to do."
Izuku sat his notebook on a random trash bin, activated the watch, and began cycling through all the different transformations.
"The Entrance Exams are in ten months. That's just ten months to learn how to properly use my powers. Most people get their entire lives to learn how to use their Quirks. I have less than a year. And ten completely unique Quirks to figure out." Izuku summarized before smiling. "Well, I guess I'd better get started. Since I've got ten months, I'll dedicate one month to each transformation. For now though, I'll just test out every single one to get a feel for them."
And so, Izuku began testing all of his 'Quirks'. He selected one of the forms and activated the watch.
The first form he went into was... a Petrosapien.
"Hmm. A diamond body. This Quirk is probably good for defense." Izuku theorized.
He decided to hop up and down a little. He felt the ground shake slightly with every hop.
"Definitely heavier. I'm probably not as fast in this form. That could be a slight weakness." Izuku analyzed.
He then decided to do a quick strength test. He attempted to pick up a large refrigerator, and he did it with relative ease.
"Enhanced strength." Izuku said as he dropped the fridge. "Alright. So far, this seems like a pretty simple power."
Izuku then, unintentionally, morphed his hand into a sharp blade.
"Whoa!" He said in shock. "No way! I can morph my crystals into other shapes!"
Izuku tried doing it again consciously, and succeeded, turning both of his hands into sharp blades.
"So I can control the crystals that my body is made of. That's pretty cool!" Izuku smiled.
He decided to test his range next and discovered that he could actually fire crystals from his body as projectiles.
"Alright! Looks like this Quirk has good defense AND offense." Izuku concluded.
The watch then timed out and Izuku reverted back to normal. While he waited for the watch to recharge, he made some notes about his diamond form.
"Diamond-like body likely grants increased durability. To what extent, I'm not sure. Strength is also increased and the crystals from the body can be manipulated for both close and long range efficiency. An overall useful Quirk in various situations." Izuku summarized.
Izuku couldn't help but smile. He spent so many years taking notes on the Quirks of others. And now, here he was, taking notes on his own Quirks.
"This is so awesome!" Izuku grinned.
He then continued testing all of his forms. He transformed into a Lepidopterran.
Izuku now had a bug-like appearance. The first thing he noticed was his 360 degree vision, due to his four eyes. He also realized that he could now fly, which he immediately attempted to do. He was pretty good at it, but did eventually crash. Guess he'll have to work on his landings. Next, he discovered that he could shoot some slime out of his eyes and mouth. As he continued testing his abilities, he noticed a passerby comment on his stench, which he decided to take note of as well.
Next, Izuku turned into a Vulpimancer.
He noticed that he had no eyes, which could be a major weakness. However, he did have an extremely heightened sense of smell and hearing, allowing him to fully perceive his surroundings. Another notable weakness was his inability to talk. At least not normally. The most he could do was bark and growl. This could prove to be a problem in certain situations. The last thing he discovered about this form was how strong and agile it was. Despite him seeming to be a dog-like creature, his movements were much more ape-like.
The next thing Izuku turned into was a Piscciss Volann.
Izuku noticed that he kinda looked like a fish-like creature. As he tested his abilities, he found that this form wasn't all that special. He had some enhanced strength and really strong teeth and jaws. Strong enough to rip through solid steel in fact. But other than that, there wasn't much else to this form. However, Izuku suddenly felt extremely dry and he fell to his knees, unable to breathe.
"What's... happening...?" He wondered.
He then looked at the nearby ocean and instinctively made his way towards it. Once he made it, he dived right into the water and took a nice, deep breathe.
"Okay. So I'm basically a fish. That's got it's pros and cons." Izuku said to himself.
As he swam under water, his legs turned into a fish tail, allowing him to swim at greater speeds. He concluded that this form would be perfect for any situation involving water, but pretty much terrible in any other situation.
The next form was... a surprising one. This time, Izuku turned into a Galvan.
Izuku was incredibly small. He initially assumed that this was this form's power, thinking that it could be good or bad depending on the situation. However, as he stared at a busted television in front of him, he got an idea. He repaired the TV using various parts he had found throughout all the garbage, and even managed to get the news to play on it.
"Awesome! I have heightened intelligence!" Izuku said, thinking this was one of the best powers yet.
Izuku's next transformation was a Kineceleran.
The first thing Izuku decided to test was his strength. But the moment he stepped forward, he dashed straight into the garbage at an incredibly high speed.
"Whoa! I'm fast! I'm really fast!" Izuku exclaimed.
He began running all around the beach at incredible speeds.
"I'm like Ingenium! But better!" Izuku smiled.
Next, Izuku turned into a Tetramand.
He was now larger and had four arms. He immediately concluded that this form likely has an emphasis on strength. When he tested this, he was proven right as he was able to lift multiple heavy objects and toss them around with ease. This was definitely the strongest form so far. Izuku also concluded that this form was a boost to pretty much all of his physical abilities. The only real weakness he saw was a lack of speed. Overall, this would likely be one of his most reliable forms.
And now, it was time for the tenth form. An Ectonurite.
As Izuku looked at himself, he noticed his ghost-like appearance. In fact, he didn't just look like a ghost, he felt like one. As he tested out the form, he discovered that all of his powers were what you would expect from a ghost. Flight, invisibility, intangibility. Izuku was willing to bet that he had body possession too. He even considered testing it on a random passerby. However, he realized that he shouldn't do that and shook the thought away. The next thing he decided to do was open up his outer skin and look inside.
"Ooh. Freaky." He commented before closing his skin.
Having now used all ten forms, Izuku went back to the first two that he hasn't really trained with yet. He started with the Galvanic Mechamorph.
Izuku began messing around with this form and realized that he could literally reshape his entire body despite being made of metal. He could morph and move around as if he was some sort of liquid. Eventually, he made quite the discovery. He learned that he could actually merge with technology. He did this by merging with a broken down car and actually repaired and upgraded it to the point were it could fly.
"No way! I can merge with and upgrade technology!" Izuku said.
And finally, he used the Pyronite form once more.
Having already used this form earlier, Izuku already had a decent idea of what he could do. So he just practiced controlling his fire some more.
Once he was done, Izuku sat down and looked over all the notes he had gathered on each transformation.
"So much versatility. I basically have a Quirk for every situation. I can be the 'Do-It-All Hero!' Or something like that." He said. "My biggest weakness is the fact that the transformations only seem to last for about ten minutes. After that, I need to wait about five minutes for the watch to recharge. But even with those limitations, it's worth it to have so many awesome powers."
Izuku stared at the watch and smiled. He spent his whole life being Quirkless. And all that's ever brought him is misery. But now, he has ten Quirks. More than he could have ever asked for.
"I don't know where you came from, but you're like a gift from Heaven." He complimented before getting up and preparing to head home.
That night, Izuku had a weird dream about the watch. It didn't seem like anything significant, but there was one phrase that kept echoing through his mind.
'The Omnitrix.'
As Izuku woke up that morning, he stared at the watch.
"The... Omnitrix?" He questioned.
He decided to ignore the dream and got ready for school.
The school day was going pretty much the same as always. It was... fine. But of course, Bakugo wouldn't allow that to last long for Izuku.
"So, Deku, it looks like you didn't take my advice from yesterday. Does that mean you're finally gonna give up on your pathetic dream of being a hero?" Bakugo asked.
Izuku froze, trying to think of the best way to answer that question without making Bakugo too angry.
"U-u-um w-well... I-I'm actually still going to go to UA." Izuku said as he braced himself for Bakugo's wrath.
"Here it comes." One of Bakugo's lackeys whispered.
Bakugo immediately slammed his hand on Izuku's desk, creating an explosion and knocking Izuku out of their chair.
"You idiot! When are you gonna get it through your thick skull that a Quirkless loser like you will never get in! You're not even worth their time! You're lucky they even let you apply!" Bakugo yelled.
Izuku stood nervously. "A-actually I-I'm not Quirkless anymore!" He revealed.
Everyone in the class looked at Izuku with a confused expression.
"What?" Bakugo glared.
"Y-yeah! Really! I have a Quirk now! A-and it's really cool! Look, I can show you!" Izuku began activating the Omnitrix, excited to share this with his childhood friend.
"Alright, enough of this nonsense, Midoriya. Even if you did have a Quirk, you know you can't use it in public." The teacher said.
"Oh... Right..." Izuku frowned.
All the students laughed.
"As if."
"Everyone knows you get your Quirk by the time you're four."
"Maybe he had a Quirk in his dreams."
Izuku deflated as his classmates mocked him.
"So what's with the watch?" Bakugo asked.
"It's um... It's just a toy..." Izuku lied.
"Oh, yeah? Give it to me." Bakugo ordered as he reached for the Omnitrix.
"NO!" Izuku snatched his hand away from Bakugo instantly. "I-It's mine!" He said, terrified of the thought of ANYONE taking the Omnitrix from him.
"What did you say?!" Bakugo growled. Since when did Deku have the guts to stand up to him?
"I-It won't come off anyway. It's a part of my Quirk." Izuku tried to explain, hoping he might be able to calm Bakugo down.
"ENOUGH WITH THE DAMN QUIRK NONSENSE!" Bakugo yelled.
"Bakugo! I'm trying to teach here!" The teacher finally intervened.
Bakugo growled and went back to his seat. He wasn't about to get into trouble over Deku. They aren't worth his time anyway.
Izuku sat in his seat and frowned. He was so excited to show Bakugo his new powers, thinking that maybe they could be friends again. But now, he's starting to see that that's just wishful thinking. Bakugo actually seemed more upset at the mere idea of Izuku having a Quirk.
'Maybe I should keep my Quirk a secret for now. Kacchan doesn't seem too thrilled by the idea that I have one.' Izuku thought to himself.
After school, Izuku went straight to the beach to begin his ten months of training.
First, he used his intelligence form to look over his notes and determine what he should work on for all of his other forms in the most efficient way possible. It was at this moment that Izuku realized that he should probably come up with a name for all of his forms.
For the first month, Izuku used his fire form. He called this form Heatblast. He spent this month mastering his control over his fire. He discovered various things he could do like being able to shape his fire into sharp blasts capable of slicing through objects. He learned that he could fly with his fire and could even teleport short distances. He even built a small obstacle course out of some trash to test his mastery over this form. Something he would do for some of his other forms. Having a body made of fire, Izuku also decided to see how he would do in water. While water was definitely a weakness, it didn't make it impossible to fight as Heatblast. He could still reignite himself if his flames were put out. And if he was underwater, he could still use his powers, just to a lesser extent. He even discovered that he could absorb fire into his own body, making Heatblast, ironically, an excellent choice for putting out fires. He also decided to see just how hot he could make himself. He increased the heat emitting from his body to a point that the nearby objects around him began melting. He eventually stopped, wondering just how hot he could get. By the time he was done, Heatblast became one of his most versatile forms.
The second month was spent working on his beast form which he called Wildmutt. During this time, he focused on his movements in this form. He designed an obstacle course that would challenge his ability to maneuver around. He also tested his senses by picking random pieces of trash and tossing them into random places throughout the trash heap and then trying to track them down. By the end of this month, Izuku had mastered Wildmutt's movements and tracking ability.
The third month was spent on his diamond form which Izuku called Diamondhead. Like Heatblast, he focused on mastering his control over Diamondhead's diamonds. He designed an obstacle course that tested his control and accuracy over his diamonds. He did not discover any new abilities, but he did improve his ability to control and morph his diamonds into various shapes.
The fourth month was spent learning how to use his speed form which he called XLR8. Izuku tested his speed by running long distances across the beach, all while timing himself. He tried to beat his record every single day. But XLR8's speed was unquestionable. What Izuku really wanted to focus on was his ability to control that speed. He designed an obstacle course with multiple tight turns. This meant that Izuku not only had to get through the course as fast as possible, but he also had to do so while avoiding crashing into things. By the end of the month, Izuku was able to control XLR8's speed with ease.
Month five was spent on his four armed form which he dubbed Four Arms. For this form, Izuku focused on challenging his strength and ability to utilize his extra pair of hands. The obstacle course he designed challenged Four Arms' strength as well as his other physical abilities. There wasn't much to learn in this form, but Izuku definitely felt like he had a better handle on it.
Month six was spent on his bug form. He named this one Stinkfly. For this form, Izuku focused on improving his flight skills as well as his proficiency with his slime. The obstacle course he designed was primarily focused on his flight ability. By the time he was done, Izuku was very confident in his flying skills.
Month seven was spent on Izuku's fish form. He called this form Ripjaws. He spent most of this time maneuvering around in the ocean. However, he did spend some time outside of the water, testing how powerful his jaws and claws were as well as how long he could go without water. There was one time where it started raining and he realized that he didn't need to worry about water while in the rain. This was a big revelation because it meant that on rainy days, Izuku could use his Ripjaws form without fear of dehydration.
Month eight. Not much time left before the Entrance Exams. Izuku spent this month working on the form he called Upgrade. He spent this month practicing merging with different pieces of technology and upgrading those objects in all sorts of ways. While doing this, he discovered that the object does not have to be electrical in order for him to merge with it. He also spent the month practicing what he could do while not merged with anything. He discovered that he could use his shape-shifting abilities to morph his body into weapons. He also discovered that he could fire a laser from his eye. The shape-shifting and laser eye abilities meant that even if he was in an area with little to no technology, Upgrade wouldn't be completely defenseless.
Izuku spent the ninth month on his ghost form. He named this form Ghostfreak. Izuku, already having a pretty good grasp on Ghostfreak's abilities, simply practiced with them until he had it mastered. However, over the course of the month, Izuku realized that there was something... odd about this form. Despite his initial decision to not try and possess anyone, he ultimately did go through with it and he turned out to be right. He could indeed possess people. Throughout the month, Izuku did things that he normally wouldn't even consider doing. They weren't anything too bad, just him messing with people. He would possess them randomly, creepily whisper to them while invisible, and even jump scare them a few times. It was pretty out of character of him. There were even times where Izuku had more sinister thoughts. He was very confused as to why this form made him feel this way. He felt pretty normal in his other forms. But something about this one was different. In the end, he concluded that while this seemed like one of his most useful powers, he probably shouldn't use it too much since it seems to be having a weird effect on him. Due to his time training as Ghostfreak being cut short, Izuku spent the rest of the month using his other forms to clean up the beach. By the time he was done, the beach was unrecognizable. You'd never even know there was once trash there at all.
It was the final month before the Entrance Exams. Izuku spent this month using his intelligence form. He called this form Grey Matter. Due to Grey Matter's lack of combat abilities, Izuku didn't do the same sort of training he did for his other forms. Instead, he spent this month watching and taking notes on various heroes and Quirks he sees throughout the days as Grey Matter. This allowed him to better understand the Quirks he was seeing and he was even able to gather more information about heroes and Quirks he had made notes on previously. Overall, this month was a nice break from all the exhausting training Izuku had been doing all year. Izuku felt quite proud of himself. He had improved so much in just ten months.
The Entrance Exams were right around the corner, but Izuku was quite confident in his ability to pass. It won't be long now. Soon, Izuku will take his first step towards becoming a hero.
Alright. Midoriya's all set for UA. So far, we've already got some changes occuring. Most notably being the fact that Midoriya and All Might no longer have the same relationship that their canon counterparts do. That could have some big effects on the story. One good thing though is that Midoriya is far more prepared for the Entrance Exams than in canon. I wonder how well he'll do. We'll have to find out next time. See you all later.
Author's Note
Hey, everyone. I just wanted to briefly say something. So, I've been watching Ben 10 lately and just had to make a story based on it. One of my personal favorite 'What If Deku' concepts is Deku with the Omnitrix so I wanted to give my take on it. I do want to say that this will not have a big effect on my MHA watches the MCU story. That story will still be my priority, so don't expect this story to be updated that frequently. Anyway, thank you for reading and take care.
