"I am..."

Something.

Someone.

Anything.

I don't know how to describe it.

As if I'm nothing but something that cannot be told.

But.

If there's a single thing to prioritize to with my worthless life, then that is enough.

I raise my hands midway. Fully exposing my whole palm in front of the empty cold air around me, unaware of voices, nor unware of the feeling.

I just stood there.

Wishing.

Hoping.

That I can fulfil this to her.

So, as I pray...

"Unlimited Blade Works!"

I'm currently at my home, currently making a food for a certain glutton that won't budge over something if she made her mind up to it. With me swiftly cutting every possible ingredient to small pieces one by one, I'm in awe if this is really the thing that suits me the best.

Maybe I can be a househusband. Though that would hinder my goal of being the hero that saves people at the time of their need. Though I'm only human, limits are just right around the corner. It's not something to taken lightly. We have ideals to believe, futures to hope for. If you're going to do something that might change even something that its not around in the realm of possibility, an ounce of motivation can alter that said impassability.

As I ram through the wooden shelve that contains a lot of spices for customizing the taste of a certain food, I vividly remembered the word a single person who have come in regrets with the life he's been living on.

"Be certain that its your wish, and not anyone else's."

I don't know if this ideal of mine is something to be called a fake. If its for saving people to a point my well being is in danger and finding myself in aloof with the feeling of being unconcerned with it. I just find it so unneedy. Why is it hard that I've got to be criticized for risking my life over for the people that are worth their life for than mine? Is it that a heavy sin? I don't think so. It's just I-

That girl. Her green, emerald eyes…

My thoughts were interrupted with the sound of the small plastic cylinder falling through the kitchen's table, thwarting myself out.

"Oh-Ah…" I let out an audible gasp.

"Shirou. Is something the matter?" A feminine yet little toned voice speaks up to me. Her ahoge sways around on top of her white hair scalp. Her blue eyes stare at me with a watchful gaze and a doubt of concern for hearing a stud sound from where I stand.

"I-Its nothing wrong Saber. Here the food is done." I responded back to the girl named Saber. As I gently lay up the pot, I start to manage my way carefully along with a boiling soup in a pot. Saber helped me carrying down the pot onto our kotatsu.

As we prepare our table utensils, I kept on thinking about this and that.

Saber goes to look at me with uncertainty if she needed to cue herself or not before leaving me be.

As we are done preparing the last-minute preps, we sit down and coze our bodies onto the kotatsu.

The warmth feeling being sought out by our bodies rose through. Even if the warmth is gawking around me, this unbending coldness inside me cannot be able to heat it up.

The girl… The girl who I used to save countless times only ending up with failures one after another. With her warm smile and lukewarm gaze, I thought I could find my haven. I vowed to save her, yet it hasn't been fulfilled. Why? Maybe because we are far away to each other though we are close enough to see each other eye to eye. It's just… The screens of reality make us unable to touch and feel each other. Even she's different from her origin, I came to tend to accept her whoever she is.

Even when I knew that she is not real.

I don't know what became of me and when I did that. It's just something that awaken on me. Having to hear someone that fully loves and accept who you are no matter the flaw of the things you did, she would evenly go out of her way to do something to be with someone whom they love the most.

Times have passed and I can't forget that feeling of being with her.

That rose my willingness to disclose our 2 worlds.

I may be a freak but if this can only make me be better and have a definition of what "life" is and what I believe in, then it's all right.

Monika.

"Did you say something Shirou?" Saber spoke with her chopsticks nearing in her mouth fully aware that I went out deep thinking things to a point, a single strand of word was able to escape my mouth.

"No nothing." I gaze down, averting the unaware Saber. I sighed and continued eating.

And then-

"Shirou!"

"Hm?"

Saber instantly clutches on defensive stance. I looked at her sudden move and as I about to say something back, a light shimmer in through the room, engulfing us.

With my instincts in functional, I look at Saber who is bewildered of what is happening. Still we observe the situation around us.

"Saber! Be on guard!"

"Got it." With that, her pure maiden aura subsides and formed an aura that can be distinguish to a fighter and a defender. She lowly raises her hands, clenching in for she must prepare for an unavoidable event.

As for me, I went and stand up, looking around as the light slowly engulf as. I tried to be aware as possible, preparing my projection magic in the severe moment of the time. Sweat falls, I don't get what is this feeling but if I need to fight, then so be it.

We're both ready to tackle this unusual phenomenon. I'm ready to fully raises both of my arms as I call out the words that I needed for it to activate.

"Trace… on!"

Blue light sparks and the white light battled between the dominance of who's going to shine brighter. But alas, the white light ravaged us through. The only thing that I can do is to close my eyes and cover myself against the blinding light, not giving a concern about Saber whom directly seeing through the light itself.

"Saber!"

It was then that we're not in the room were residing in.

"Wh-What is this" A serene view overshadows us both. We both give an overview of the surrounding area. Its not the same area we used to see. This is a completely different place we're having in.

"Is this some kind of a Noble Phantasm?" Saber exclaimed, deducing the possibilities of an event occurring. But even then, if this is truly a Noble Phantasm that can alter a reality on someone's will, then-

"There's a Servant in our proximity. Is that right Saber?" I gave Saber the result of her observation.

"Indeed, it is Shirou." Her arms hung up in front of her, what she may be doing was holding an object, leaking out a wind sort of a smoke around it.

We look around in confusion yet are alerted.

If there's a Servant here, then we are the sole target of its reasoning.

"I thought the Grail War is over. Don't tell me that-"

Another servant can still be able to materialize in this world. Like Saber? Though our method was such a risky one, there's no way another can still do the same.

"Shirou, if this reality is used by an enemy, I'm afraid but we need to fight it head on." Said the solemn Saber looking at me with nothing but daunted eyes.

I get it what she meant. If it worse come to worst, then it would be better to fight.

"Alright. But first, we need to carefully observe this reality. We are still not sure if this reality is by the work of an enemy Servant. I can see to say that this reality is still in Japan. So we're not so far off."

Yeah, this reality is too real to call this a fake. Everything was spot on, the buildings and anything. We are still in Japan but… different.

As we are still looking in confusion with a doubtful concern, enamoured by this reality, we heard a large burst of sound.

We directed our gaze and landed on a faraway building that have smokes and fires on it. We are in distress out of our shock. But we can hold the sympathy and look at Saber with intent while looking straight to her with my face forming out of solemnity.

"Saber. Let's go."

"As you will Shirou." With that Saber grabbed me with her one arm. A servant strong enough to lift a well-tempered boy and jump high enough to see an otherworldly view of a false reality that is being visioned on our eyes.
