You're the light inside my eyes

Cora sat on the table, her daughters talking with each other and their guests, Violet talking with each of their friends giving remarks people probably did not want. Cora's eyes landed on her Husband, and seeing him so joyful made her smile, they were getting through the grief of losing a child, slowly, but the light was entering her eyes again, with the help of her husband and she was glad of it. She loved Robert and he loved her, they would get through this. Together.

You give me reason to keep trying

Robert had just lost his brother-in-law. He had lost most people he had fought and lived with. He was struggling. He was wondering why to continue. He was honoured to fight for his Queen and country. He was struggling. He had lost so many people, he was in charge of so many people who died. Robert was wondering why he needed to keep trying to win. He bent over and felt the locket and letters in his inside pocket. That's what reminded him to keep trying. He needed to get back to Cora. He needed to win and survive to get back to Cora. She was the reason he was alive.

You give me more then I could dream

Cora was pregnant and Robert was happier then he had ever been. Being with the love of his life who was pregnant with their child. He was so happy, he never dreamt he could be in such a happy relationship, especially as most he sees with people his age are less then happy. He was proud that he and Cora had built this life together. He felt his dreams had been answered and he was now happier then ever.

And you bring me to my knees

You bring me to my knees

Robert Crawley had always been told that love did not exist. He had been told to never expect love. So he didn't. Many women through themselves at him, but Cora Crawley was a prospect that intrigued him. She was different and even if he did not love her, he found companionship (and one one who could challenge mama) that's what made him get down on one knee. There were English women with money, but at least he could tolerate Cora. That's what made him ask "Cora Levinson, will you marry me?"
