Chapter 3

Izzy's POV

Dad gives me a hard look and crosses his arms as he studies me.

"Really?" Dad asked me.

Dad was trying to make me uncomfortable, but I shot him his usual 'annoying smirk' (as my mother used to always say) and sent it right back at him.

The rest of our family watches this with curious eyes.

"Yeah." I said.

"Prove it." Dad said.

I smile wider looking back at Tori.

"Tori, what shall we use as proof?" I asked.

Tori smirks.

"Our looks?" Tori asked.

Tori and I gave each other a look knowingly. Before I turned to Grandma Solomon.

"Can we do this in your office?" I asked.

She shrugs.

"Sure." Grandma Solomon said, before sharing a warning look to all the adults.

I watched them, knowing that they were warning themselves for the worst.

I gave Tori a look that told her that we needed to be careful so that they wouldn't get anymore suspicions then they already were. Of course, knowing me, I would blow our cover even more then I am doing right now.

Tori and I grabbed our suitcases and we walked with half the school staff towards the office.

We walked into the office with everyone and I looked around the office.

I looked over at the leather couch, then I looked at the desk, and then the windows.

There's a passageway somewhere near here. I need to find all of them.

"So, your claiming that you are my grandchildren?" Headmistress asked.

"Yes, we are." Tori said, as I sat down beside her.

"Can we get actual proof?" Solomon asked us.

"Yes, you can, actually," I said, before turning to Tori. "You have our photo album with you, don't you?"

"Yeah." She said, before she dived into her backpack and pulled out all the pictures.

I looked at the first picture to see it was the one when mom was due any time with Tori, Me, and—

Stop!

A tear fell out of my eye, but I wiped it away quickly before I turned the pictures to Solomon.

His eyes widened before he looked over at Dad and handed them to him.

Dad looks at it before looking at me, and Tori.

"This is your mother." Dad said, more like a statement instead of a question.

We both nodded.

"You two look like your mother." He said.

I scuffed before looking over at Tori who gave me a look and laughed.

"We thought it would take more convincing." Tori said, as I stood up.

"Well, I think we'll still need to take blood tests just to make sure." Townsend said.

"Why?" I asked.

"Well, you could be lying." He said.

I sighed.

"I only lie when I need to lie." I replied.

He nodded understanding.

I turned to Mom's best friend.

"Bex." I said.

Bex looks up at me, looking unsurprised at the situation at hand.

"Yeah?" Aunt Bex asked.

"You know we're not lying, right?"

Bex sighs.

"We'll see."

"Okay." I said, before I turned to Grandma, and Abby.

I opened my mouth to speak but Abby just gives me a look.

"We'll see." Abby said with a smirk.

I sighed before turning to Tori. Tori gives me a look.

"What?" Tori asked.

"This is the craziest day, I think we've ever had."

Tori snorts.

"No, there's been weirder."

I nodded, knowing where she was coming from.

Then we heard a nock at the door.

"Come in." Macey said.

Then three kids around our age walked in.

There were two girls, and one guy.

The first girl was wearing a yellow off the shoulder long sleeve silky shirt with white high waisted jeans, and white tennis shoes. She has long straight dark brown hair, green eyes, and light skin. She was about 5 foot 7 inches, and she looked to be 16/17 years old.

The second girl was wearing a light brown long sleeve knitted sweatshirt, black mid-thigh high skirt, and black leather combat boots. She has long wavy black hair, she had gorgeous light blue eyes, and tan skin. She was 5 foot 6 inches, and was around 15/16 years old.

The guy was wearing a white t-shirt with Gallagher Institute imprinted on it with the school logo of Gallagher and Blackthorne's logo mixed together, khaki pants, and black tennis shoes. He had black wavy hair, with blueish-grayish eyes, and olive skin. He was 6 foot, and about 15/16 years old.

My jaw dropped when I saw the gorgeous creature that looked like he was made from the God's themselves.

"Hey, guys." The guy said.

"Hi bud." Bex said.

My gaze lingered on the guys chest that was slightly noticeable through his shirt.

I heard someone clear they're throat.

I blinked then saw that it was indeed the hot guy who cleared his throat.

He noticed my staring, oh no. Why?!

I felt my cheeks getting red.

"Sorry, I'm Isabelle," I said, stretching my hand to him. "But my friends call me Izzy."

He smiled as he shook my hand.

"I'm Oliver."

I smiled.

Oliver, a hot name to go with a hot body.

I held onto his hand longer then necessary, and saw his eyes look down at our still joined hands.

My eyes went wide as my cheeks grew even redder.

"Sorry." I said, chuckling nervously.

"No worries, I know I'm hot, no need to be embarrassed." Oliver said.

I then went as red as I think anyone ever could.

Aunt Bex gave Oliver the mother's look as I turned to Tori.

'Help me.' My eyes read to her.

'No, I'm enjoying the show.' Tori's eyes said back.

I then glared at her and Tori chuckles as I turned away and walked towards my suitcase.

I then started walking out.

"Hey Izzy, you need to stay in here." Solomon said.

I sighed.

"Right." I said, turning back around and then walking back to where Tori and I sat a few minutes ago.

"What's going on Mom?" The first girl asked, looking over at Grandma.

"Well, Leah, these girls are new students." Headmistress said.

"Oh, cool, I'm Leah Solomon. The headmistress's daughter, if you have any questions, please ask, or if you just want to hang out and talk, that's okay as well." Leah said nicely.

Tori nods smiling.

"Thank you." Tori said.

Leah smiles before looking at me.

I smiled at her before looking away.

"What's going on?" The second girl asks.

"Well, Hazel, you know who Cammie was, right? The girl we talk about a lot?" Macey asked.

"Yeah." She replied, like that was an idiotic question.

"Well, these girls are claiming that Cammie is their mother." Macey explained.

Then we felt everyone looking at Tori and I.

"Really?" Leah asked.

"Yeah." Bex replied.

"Do we have real evidence?" Oliver asked.

"We have the lookalikes, and this photo album." Abby replied pointing to the photos on the coffee table.

"Can I look through them?" Hazel asked.

"Sure." Tori said, shrugging.

Hazel nods then picks up the stack of pictures.

"These are all beautiful, Cammie is stunning even with pregnancy, she's got that pregnancy glow going on." Hazel said.

I smiled.

"Yeah, mom was always beautiful, in any condition." I said.

I hope I'll be as good a spy as mom was someday.

"Whose this guy?" Hazel asked.

"Who?" Tori asked.

"This guy? He's standing next to Cammie, his arms are around her." Hazel said showing the picture.

The picture showed our mom, Cammie, at the airport and Hunter had his arm around her shoulders, and mom's head was on his shoulder as they were both smiling widely at the camera.

"Oh, that's Uncle Hunter." Tori replied.

"Were they ever, together? Or anything?" Hazel asked.

I chuckled.

"God no, Uncle Hunter was already married, his son was even just barely born." Tori replied.

"But, why is his arm around her shoulder?" Hazel asked, confusion etched across her face.

"Mom and Hunter were like siblings, besides, mom loved someone else." I said, giving a sideways glance to Dad.

Dad's jawline twitched a little and I could tell he was trying to hide his emotions.

"What happened to Cammie?" Bex asked.

I look up at Bex, startled.

"I didn't say anything happened to her." I said defensively.

Don't cry. Don't cry. Don't cry.

"But you keep saying were, and was, that is saying something happened." Bex replied.

"Well, you don't fully know I'm your best friends daughter, so until the blood tests are clear. I'm not trusted." I said.

Tori gives me a look as our whole family exchange a look.

"I think your ignoring me." Bex said.

"We need to get the blood tests done, then we need to tour the rest of the building." I said.

"No, after the tests, your answering every question." Headmistress replied.

"Whatever." I said.

Then I hear someone walk into the office.

"I'm back." Liz replied.

I didn't even see her leave.

I looked over at Tori and she shook her head annoyed at me before looking over at Liz.

"Good, we need to get these tests done." Macey said.

Everyone then moved aside as Liz sat in front of Tori and I.

"Let's get started." Liz says.

Tori's POV

After hours of Liz examining our blood we got a result.

Liz gasps.

"What is it, Liz?" Dad asked tiredly.

"Your 99.9% their father. It's true, Cam was pregnant when she disappeared." Liz answered.

"Really?" Dad asked.

"Yes, you have twin daughters. Now hug them." Liz said, taking off her hand gloves.

Dad turns to us.

"Well, that's a good sign." Dad said.

"Yeah, it is." I said.

I spread my arms out.

Dad picks me up and hugs me.

"Oh my goodness." Dad said, before putting me down and hugging Izzy.

"I'm glad you girls weren't lying." Dad said.

Then he let go of Izzy.

"Now, we need to ask you both the questions we had earlier." Dad said.

I look over at Izzy, who was looking down at the floor.

"I think there's been enough experience for one day." Izzy said, walking to her suitcase.

"You can keep those pictures Dad." I said.

"Are you sure?" Dad asked, smiling widely at the word "Dad".

"Yeah, those are all the pictures." I lied confidently.

"Alright." Dad sighs.

Izzy had started walking to the door.

"Hey, Izzy." Dad calls.

Izzy stops and looks up at the ceiling before turning around to look at Dad.

"Yeah?" Izzy asked slightly irritated.

"You can escape now, but we'll find out the truth tomorrow." Dad told her.

"Okay." Izzy said, before turning around and walking away with her suitcase behind her.

"Why does she get so irritated so quickly?" Liz asked.

I looked over at her.

"Because, that's Cammie 2.0" I said.

"What do you mean?" Macey asked.

I sighed.

"Izzy is like mom but with more attitude." I said, reaching for my suitcase.

"Oh, I can see an attitude alright," Townsend replied. "I think everyone in this room would agree with me when I say, I don't think we can trust her."

Abby, Oliver, Leah, and Hazel nodded their heads, agreeing with him.

"Hey, that's my sister your talking about! I'm not going to let anyone talk trash about her, and Townsend, you don't know our story, so before you go and judge her, maybe you should learn more about us, instead of just assuming." I replied.

"Can we trust, Isabelle?" Leah asked.

I held my tongue.

"Tori?" Dad asked.

My eyes widened.

Oh, no, I'm going to have to talk.

I sighed.

"To be honest, I really don't know." I said.

Grandma looks at me with steady eyes as Solomon stood beside her.

"Why do you say that?" Grandma asked.

"That's Izzy's story to tell, but I can tell you she regrets it." I said.

"Regrets what?" Oliver asked.

I sighed.

"Like I said. It's Izzy's story. I can't tell you anything, Izzy has to trust you. So just be nice to her and bond with us, Izzy will tell you when she's ready." I said, before walking out of the office.
