Chapter three

After the wedding it was time for the party, although he didn't leave my side, he made no eye contact and not said one word after the exchanging of our vows. Thor thought he had won and already upset our marriage, was he ever wrong. Odin came to ask me to dance and I happily obliged as I had no father to dance with. "He will come around." He said, "I know I just feel as though it is my fault, he is angry with me." I stated and he looked at me with a twinge of pain and knew that it would bother me if Loki and I didn't reconcile.

"may I have the next dance?" asked a low voice and I knew that Thor was wanting to dance as a victory, to celebrate my misery. "I don't think your brother would like that Thor." I said with a small bit of venom. "what my brother doesn't know won't kill him." He said and I smiled and agreed to dance and saw Loki across the room and I swore I could visibly see smoke coming out of his nostrils. He started coming over slowly, but not slow enough to scare his brother too much, soon he was right behind Thor and cleared his throat making his presence know. "May I please, have my bride back brother?" he asked but not really posing it as a question. "of course brother I mean it is your wedding day." Thor retorts. And I could feel the tension rising in the room and so could every body else. "Enough!" boomed Odin and he said if they were to duel, they were to do it right, but not tonight as it is a special night for Loki and Sif.

After the party Loki and I retired to his chambers that were now our chambers and went to bed. I thought tonight was supposed to be the first night we were to make love as a married couple, Loki just put on his sleep shirt and crawled into bed next to me I was in a dark green night dress. "Loki?" I whispered. "hmm" he mumbled. "can we talk?" I asked, "not tonight I am tired." He said "LOKI!" I yelled and he shot straight up in bed. "it is not good to go to bed angry, what has you so upset that you won't even look at me?" I said. "Sif, it is not you. It is Thor he has me so angry that every time I look at you, I see a constant reminder of what he did to you." He explained calmly. "then why did you marry me if all I do is remind you of your brothers actions?" I asked with tears filling my eyes. "Because I love you." Was all he said. And I leaned in to kiss him and found his lips easily in the dark, he pulled me to straddle his lap and deepened the kiss and I moaned as his cold hands ran up and down my arms. He weaved his fingers through my hair and I raked mine through his and down to his hips to remove the thin fabric covering his body. He helped me out of the dress that was still covering my body, and I sighed. We had done this hundreds of times before but this time, tonight, it was different I wasn't making love to my lover, but to my husband.

After a while I laid next to him and rest my head upon his chest and listened to his breaths slow and become abated while he drifted off to sleep. Soon after I fell asleep as well to the sound of my husband's breaths. And drifted off into a dreamless sleep.

Time jump to Thor and Loki's Duel

it was noon and Thor had just arrived to the duel that Odin had commanded the boys do because of their quarrel that seemed to last an eternity.

"are you ready Loki?" Thor asked his younger brother. "I am, are you?" he retorted and they both looked at their father. "Rules are: No Magic, No lightning and no tricks. If either of you break the rules you are to be punished." He finished and Loki reached for the cuffs that would take his magic away from him. He wanted this fight to be fair. Thor was stripped of Mjolnir and of anything that tied him to lightning.
