"Noire, are you sure about this? You've still got years ahead of you. And you still need to get your hero license."

Noire shakes her head, "Thank you Mr. Fay, but mr Fat Gum as hired me."

"Oh, no need to call me Mr. Fay, I'm not your teacher anymore. It's just Simon."

The building elevator takes Noire all the way to the top, where the hallways are brightly lit with energy efficient fluorescent lights and sunlight.

After getting out of the elevator, Noire crosses the hallway and swipes her card on the reader next to the reinforced metal door. The reader flashes green and the door slides open.

"Noire, there you are," Fat Gum greets her from behind his desk.

Her lips were drawn into a tight, determined line as she threw a manila folder on top of the mountain of papers and photographs burying what might have been, at one point, a very nice office desk. Fat Gum , had his hands folded behind his head, and was currently using the desk himself-as a footrest.

"Hi."

Green eyes opened at the uttered syllable and glinted over the toes of polished black shoes. "'We leave in ten"

"Sir."

"What ?"

"What do you mean we leave in ten? ."

"Did you read the file before throwing it at me?"

"I wouldn't have thrown it at you if I hadn't read it."

"Good, look i know you don't have your heroes licence"

"So I'm your what assistant?"

"Sidekick," Fat Gum corrected with a lazy smirk. "Look some person calling themselves Gozer is terrorising a local hotel "

Noire sighed, "Fine! I'll grab my stuff."

And she absolutely did not smile as he called after her, "Awesome thank you!."
