Detective Naomasa Tsukauchi was currently at his desk putting together the file for the latest case that had popped up. Apparently, a hero sidekick had been kidnapped by an unknown group of villains. A couple of hours ago, the police department had received a photo of the unconscious girl sat up on a chair with her hands tied behind her back, and they quickly ID'd her as Noire Beam. Judging by the picture, the girl was being held in an abandoned industrial building of some sort.
As Naomasa was studying the bulletin board in his office. The one he had prepared for the new kidnapping case, it had been set up with red string, several photographs, and a map of the whole city. He had worked on it and this case all throughout the night and there were dark circles beneath his eyes, he was trying to figure out where the girl could be, but he still had nothing, not even a clear motive. All of the sudden, someone opened his door and welcomed themselves into his office.
"Are you especially busy right now? Because I really need to talk." said the familiar voice of Endeavour.
"Oh, it's good to see you Endeavour, but I don't think this is the best time for a chat. A kidnapping case just popped up." he cordially replied, briefly looking away from the board. "And there is a lot I have to figure out."
"You mean the missing Noire case, right? I figured that they would put you on this one." the hero quickly surmised.
"Yeah, yeah that's the one." Naomasa affirmed. "It's quite difficult, I've been working all night but still no progress, I don't even know why he was taken at all. This case truly is an oddity."
"About that.." Endeavour scratched the back of his head and looked to the side. "I don't know where he is, but I think I might have that motive."
"You really think so?!" Suddenly energized by hearing those words, the detective's calm composure broke, if his friend said he had a lead, then he was open ears.
" Well she is fairly hated by most people for being Stain's daughter" Having said what he needed to, Endeavour waved goodbye, and then he proceeded to walk out the door of the office. But while he watched him leave, he found that something else bothered him, it bothered him so much that he just had to ask.
"Wait." The detective urged him to stay for one more question.
"Is there something else?" Endeavour stopped once he got to the door and looked back at him curiously.
"I know you have no shortage of enemies among villains, but do you think the perpetrator could be, The League?"
"I don't know." Endeavour replied solemnly after a few seconds of thought. "But, can you promise me something?".
"What do you need?" He asked his old friend.
"When you find this kid, please let me know as soon as you can. I have to save her, I have to make this right." he requested, this time in a more determined tone.
"Of course," Naomasa answered sincerely.
This conversation had proved more useful to Naomasa than he had thought it would be. He now had a potential motive and suspect. It was time to get back to work, he had a kid to find.
Two weeks later
All Izuku Noire could feel right now was pain. Pain was felt from the constant sensation in her head that made her brain feel like it was melting in an oven. Pain was felt from the intense itchiness that had crawled all across every inch of her skin like ten thousand spiders were biting her. Pain was felt from the burning icy feeling down in her throat and trachea that constricted her breathing and left her gasping for air. No matter how hard she tried to struggle, tried to break free, she was never able to. She couldn't break these bonds, she couldn't save herself.
This question had puzzled Noire for a long time, probably ever since the pain got like this, as the only word that had raced through her mind for what felt like years was "WHY WHY WHY WHY!" She couldn't depend on her ability to reason, she hadn't gotten any sleep this whole time and instead faded in and out of consciousness erratically. But all of the sudden, it stopped, all the pain stopped, as her quarries had all clicked together.
That was why, that was why they, who were powerful, were afraid of her, who was powerless. It was because she was the hero killer's daughter. This whole superhuman society was structured so that those with power became powerful, and dictated society, and those without became powerless, and were put in their place, this rule had become unspoken law, and it had defined society for so long.
It was why people could still smile, why they could walk outside without fear of monsters. Because no matter what happened, this one rule would always be constant, because at the heart of every threat, was a human who carried the supernatural element with them, and no one was afraid because they carried an element of the supernatural with them too. This superhuman society had moved beyond the age of monsters, and to the age where everything made sense and could be explained by the same answer each time.
Noire then knew what this society was missing, she then knew what she herself needed right now. It was not a hero, it was a monster, and Noire was the only one who could be that monster, because if she didn't, everything would continue the same way it always had. She would continue to be pushed around, would continue to be forced to wait for the heroes to save her, she was Stain's daughter for fuck sake. Noire then smiled like a madman at that moment, and she slowly stood up as she freed her hands from the ropes, ignoring the painful ripping and tearing of her flesh, her vision was dyed a deep red, as from her eyes, tears of blood poured out like a fatal wound.
